Art’s words were stuck in the back of his head. How had she known he was of the same bloodline as Houou, when he hadn’t even known he had a bloodline? Maybe it was her new sage powers. Maybe she and atsuko discovered something while reeling through the UHV research documents. At one point he was one of their experiments, so it wasn’t far off that they documented the research. Zetsu just had a terrible memory from his younger years, barely holding on to images of his mother. And when h was experimented on, they always sedated him heavily. He’d be asleep for days on end. But now it all made sense. He was about to step more into Houous life than he had wanted. Never the less, he had a responsibility to shishin. If he was truly of Houous clan then he owed it to the man to protect his family in his absence. Zetsu began retracing that day he was rescued. Remembering how houou moved. How could he forget, the man never left the side of the researchers he was protecting. Zetsu believed he remembered enough to get him started. But for some reason he was able to connect with the concepts a lot easier now. It’s like he already knew what he was about to get into.

Zetsu grabbed a four foot long log from a nearby storage facility and placed it upright in the middle of the clearing
He took several steps in the opposite direction and turned to face the vertical log, closing his eyes and gaining control of his breathing. Houous chakra looked simply like steam pouring off his body, as he raised his hands forming the proper hand seals. Slamming his hands together forming the serpent seal, Zetsu opened his eyes and dialed in all of his focus on the log. In his mind he needed to picture exactly how and where he wanted the wood to move in any given space. This was something he didn't have perfect control of quite yet, as he always had to dedicate all of his focus on any given jutsu passed down by his clan.
There was a slight rumble that came from beneath Zetsus feet, just before two pillars of wood erupted from the ground and formed a tight grip around the standing log.

Zetsu was so accustomed to performing Eiseijutsu with no need hand seals that he attempted another method of casting his bloodline techniques. Holding his fighting stance. Feet shoulder width apart, leading with his right leg, arms up and close to his face. Then from that position he would quickly form three hand seals with just the hand closest to his face. Then suddenly out of his leading hand would launch a small barrage of wooden spikes. They would all land center mass on the massive tree, leaving Zetsu surprised at the possibilities he had at his fingertips.

Zetsu, holding the same pose, thought of something quiet useful. Instead of focusing on pure offense, he could possibly mold these techniques to defend his team. Just as before he would form thee which hand seals with the single rear hand. Instantly the wood began to take form in the palm of his hand. A massive disk-like structure was what he was left with in the end. Three lard circular patterns made up one well sized shield. However it was quite light and Zetsu was unsure if it would withstand attack against iron for too long.

He was doing well to keep up the momentum. He had no idea the possibilities of this so called bloodline art, but he knew enough from assessing houou in his battle. Forming thee hand seals and slamming his hands together, Zetsu awaited the results as the ground beneath him began to rumble. The dirt began to crack and shift as several massive roots, of varying size, ripped themselves from the ground. As not to destroy the area around the base, Zetsu merely used the roots to better disguise the base. Covering it in thick roots that would all end in a point just above the hideout. The point was a medium sized massive reds wood, as were the roots. Zetsu hope that the tree would continue growing and disguise the base even better.

Rank D

Feeling that thee was Moore to this root control, Zetsu formed 3 hand seals and slapped his hands together again. Once again, but in a different area behind him, massive roots erupted from the ground. Only this time there were just five of these large roots. Zetsu also notices that these roots were harder to move across a large distance. So he used them wisely, throwing them in random, natural patterns further blending the base in with the surrounding ecology. It would be quite difficult for anyone or anything to navigate this area.

Walking to the opposite side of the base and heading a bit out into the distance. Zetsu planned to further mask the hideout in a maze of plants and trees. Forming three hand seal and holding the last seal in places, he would activate the jutsu, instantly launching dozens of branches out of the ground. As the branches climbed into the canopy, they would also begging to lace themselves. This creates quite the impressive wall of roots, Zetsu would even add the occasional bit of moss and foliage in order to create a more natural dense look.

Zetsu was curious as to the depth and mobility of his wood creations. Perhaps he could create a suit of armor to wear, or maybe even just to scare off intruders. Unfortunately Zetsu had no concept of what other types of armors existed, aside from the UHV issued armors. So instead he would use Taketori’s image as his base. Forming three hand seals and locked the last one in place. Almost instantaneously, wood began to leak out of his pores like a thick, crusty, clay like material. Opening his eyes Zetsu would discover that he was indeed completely covered in a wooden suit of armor. The outside, a spitting image of taketori, only he wore a heady and terrifying suit of bone armor. Zetsu would walk this statue over to the main entrance to the base and leave it there for any intruders. It would at least provide a good scare.

Looking around, Zetsu still felt like that base was too visible. Even though trees and foliage pinned the area, if he walked far enough away, he could sill see light and bits and pieces of the hideout. Digging deep down in his gut, he searched for the proper technique. He was beginning to learn to trust his instincts, better yet, he was beginning to trust his blood. Suddenly an idea struck him. He was sure that an idea this grandiose, would leave him low on chakra, but he was feeling full of energy. Rushing back over to the hideout, Zetsu assesses the dimensions of the spot and then ran through some different designs in his head, Zetsu knew it would be best to have the hideout blend in with nature. The members of shishin might not like the change of scenery, but it was for the best young Zetsu thought. Taking to one knee, he places one hand to the ground and held one hand to his face, open palm as if he were a Shaolin monk on prayer. Then with the open hand he formed several hand seals, activating the jutsu in his head. From the ground erupted so many massive, jagged roots! They were not going to take on a new form, instead they would cover the hideout entirely in roots, leaving no opening aside from the door., leaving loose hanging vines covered in orchids to blanket the door, providing excellent cover. Only those who were in the base would know to walk through the hanging vines in that particular area. Everywhere else just looked like overgrown wildlife.

Now that the base was completely hidden. Zetsu would focus on preparing a trap at the front of the entrance. He wanted to be able to trap and intruder if they did happen to discover the bone covered entrance and make there way to the door. Zetsu knew there was a good five to six feet of vines one would have to walk through if they wanted to get to the door. So in between the entrance of the vines and the door, Zetsu began to dig a deep hole roughly eight feet deep. He would then take water that he collected from a nearby stream and fill the hole to the top. After this was completed, zetsu would form the hand seals that popped into his head and intact the jutsu. Suddenly the ground began to morph and shift into different amorphous shapes. After the shifting stopped. Zetsu would walk over the dirt floor in order to mask the fact that could play had been done. Masking the floor with pebbles, Zetsu took extra precaution to draw attention away from the ground. Now it just looked like any old cave floor. Not even footprints could be detected with the new pebble layering.

After a short rest, Zetsu felt called to try something. During his imprisonment, zetsu would often hear legends of tailed beasts and monsters of massive proportions. He had never seen or heard these beasts in Otogakure, but he had overheard Atsuko speaking of such beasts that have been captured and reside in human hosts. Zetsu wondered if one day they might be attached and would require assistance against such creatures. After he fetched a brush and ink from inside of the hideout. He drew a symbol in kanji on his hand, he didn’t know why, he just felt called to do so. Then he bent down to one knee and formed a set of hand seals with one hand as his other palm merely touched the floor. Suddenly all around the base in a circular motion, pillars with Foo dog faces began erupting from the ground. Once they were all above ground, one by one a flame lit at the top of each pillar. These would remain here for as long as Zetsu lived. In order to better disguise these pillars Zetsu asl grew roots up the pillars, hiding and details of human tampering. Even the flames would be encased. Zetsu was wise enough to leave small ventilation holes so that the flame may breath but not give away too much light to an enemy.
Wood Release: Foo Dog Heads
Rank B

Also in the doorway Zetsu would place a secondary layer of meaningless protection that may help them in the future. Returning to the entrance just outside of the chakra stew door Zetsu would again take a knee. Forming several hand seals with one hand and the other to the ground. He initiated the ground rumbling sound he was beginning to love by the second. Then suddenly two stocks burst from the ground and imbedded themselves into the walls on either side of the door. They were each lit with two candle-like appendages on either side of them. These lights provided very little light to the encased area, and Zetsu was sure to add extra vines and moss around those areas receiving more light. The sad soul that set foot at that door would be in do serious trouble. Zetsu had no real need to disguise these. The walkway to the door was poorly lit and the this curtain of vines let very little light through. The only light the hone through, was that at your feet, were the vines hung mere inches from the ground.

Again changing locating and moving to the next section of the outer section of the hideout, Zetsu would come to the rear of the hideout. This was the most vulnerable spot in any encampment and Zetsu knew all to well how important security was. The UHV was always fortifying there bases and upgrading security measures. With his back facing the rear wall of the base, Zetsu quickly formed several hand seals and there his hand out. Instantly like a shotgun, dozens of branches peeled from the surface of his skin and erupted forward. Zetsu commanded these branched to further divide themselves and interlace with the existing trees that were there. Once more, Zetsu would extend his reach of vines in around the entirety of the base. The vines reached and split off, in a constant and beautiful manner. Where as one branch would end its long journey, another young branch would take its blame on the race around the hideous. The members of shishin still had ample land, enough even fit two more buildings of the same Sizemore the area. It was beyond there that Zetsu was setting up the tall wall of thick interlacing wood. He knew that this was only a single protective layer but everything counted. Finally after several seconds of intense focus, the vines had met on the other side of the hideout and connected together. Next Zetsu would sprout thick bushes and tall grass all along the base of his barrier. This would act as a great way to hide the signs of human intervention. Lucky for Zetsu he dint many the barrier a perfect circle. From high above, without tree cover, the barrier would look like a perfect circle. But in fact Zetsu made it so that the path of the roots was twisted and sporadic. As to fool keener eyes. This resulted in a massive spider web like surrounding. In order to add a more natural flare to things Zetsu would also form several more seals and add countless amounts of moss and flowers to this new web like barrier. The moss oozed out like a liquid and hung down the side of the structure. The flowers bloomed with the likeness of the local foliage. Zetsu used less of the bright colors, in order to again avoid garnering attention.

“Okay, let’s get down to it, Zetsu.” Artemis put her hands on her hips as she looked at the kid, a goofy grin on her face. She was feeling much better after getting back in touch with herself and saw Zetsu in a friendlier light than she had before. “This is called the Summoning Technique. It’s a fuuinjutsu basic, and something you’ll need if you’ve really become a sage.” She removed her fish scroll and presented it to Zetsu. “Now, I’ve already signed mine in blood, as you should have.”

She showed the seals on the scroll, as well as the marks of blood from herself and the fish sages. She then made the first hand seal. “You don’t have to use seals to summon, but if they help you focus your chakra then I invite you to do so.” She didn’t gloat about her own ninjutsu prowess, which she was sure surpassed even Atsuko’s – though maybe not in Katon. “Okay, so I want you to focus your chakra and thing about the specific summon you want to bring forth. If they are a higher tier beast, you need more chakra.” She summoned the lowest tier summon of the fish contract, the school of piranha.

A school of them appeared in the air between Zetsu and Artemis. However, she hadn’t prepared any water and was unwilling to flood the den for such a presentation. She dismissed her summon immediately after the piranha appeared, generating a small cloud as they left back to fish island. Then she rolled the scroll back up and looked at the kid expectantly. “Since I’ve given you such a clear example, I believe you should be able to manage this technique with ease.” [Kuchiyose]

Artemis then needed to present the rasengan. She wasn’t sure what elements Zetsu had access to, but if he could manipulate wood like Houou, he probably could only mess with water and earth like Houou could. She would have to teach him the maruton version of her favorite technique, then. She put her hands together and focused. “Okay, so for the rasengan, I’m going to have to show you the version without elemental nature, as I don’t believe you possess the necessary fuuton affinity. I need you to imagine your chakra moving like the wind – even though you lack that nature.”

When she thought he’d done it, she would continue. “Your chakra needs to be fluid. I want you to focus some to your hand, and then try to make it move like the wind. Imagine a tornado, if that helps.” She personally didn’t use much imagery when using the rasengan, though her suiton techniques and katon tended to be generated with a strong imagination. She would wait until he looked like he understood what was going on; then, she made the rasengan herself. She used no hand seals for it, because the technique didn’t require any.

It made it rather useful in a pickle, not to mention she had to ability to cast jutsu through her mouth alone. “The maruton version is strange to me but it actually came before the more well-known fuuton version; the Kumogakure scroll I learned this from had said so.” She felt a little prideful about her advantage over Zetsu in both ninjutsu and history, even though she was lacking a lot of information in the latter subject. “Okay, so once you feel you’ve gotten that one down – and yeah, it’s a little bit difficult so if you can’t figure it out right now, you’re free to keep trying later – we can move on to an augmentation.” [Rasengan]

“Keep that rasengan in your hands, okay? This technique is a little unusual but that’s why I picked it. It alters the nature of the rasengan to give it sealing power, so it can seal demons and curse sealed people. It’s meant to be, like, holy.” She took a deep breath and tried to explain it as best she could. “You have to think about the way you used your chakra for the summoning technique; that fuuin foundation is going to help you, even though this technique is technically maruton.”

She made a rasengan in her hands with little effort. “This little ball is going to become like a seal tag. I’ll be able to throw it at a demon and seal it up. Well, hopefully. I’ve never used this against a demon – never met one – and I personally have little faith in it stopping a gigantic monster but hey, maybe it’ll work as advertised.” She added more chakra to the rasengan, which was visible because it appeared to float around the rasengan instead of being added to it directly, which would’ve made it larger.

The rasengan in her hand was surrounded with the aura of her chakra. Her chakra began to shimmer around the rasengan, before slipping inside the cutting spiral of the sphere. The core of the rasengan began to glow a little as her chakra concentrated to the center of it. In theory, this would work as Shion’s bell, and the sealing power to augment the rasengan in a way to allow it to put down a demonic entity. [Chou Rasengan]

Giving him a minute to catch up or take a breather, Artemis stretched her arms up above. She stretched until the joints in her arm popped. She sighed as she brought her arms back down, feeling far more relaxed. When she felt Zetsu was ready, she clapped her hands together with mild excitement. “Okay! It’s time for some elemental stuff! That kinda stuff is my jam, really. I’m a bit of an oddball in the ninja world, considering that I can utilize all five core elements.” She paused to wait for Zetsu’s gasp or other reaction of surprise. “So the first one that I think we should do some earthy junk first.” She mouthed something and generated a chimera clone, which dropped to the ground and laid on its back. “Okay, so I want you to kneel in front of this me-clone and hold your hands over its body.”

She kneeled on the other side. “This is another seal-less technique so its not as easy to show you. It’s a little weird to explain, too, but this is an important technique if you’re intent on staying with us. This will let you destroy our bodies and leave no trace; only something called Edo Tensei can revive us, though I don’t know the details on that technique because I couldn’t find a scroll for it.” She put her hands above the body, just letting them hover. “OK, so I need you to dip into your chakra nature of earth right now. However you find it easiest to utilize earth chakra, do that. This is going to take a lot of chakra, too, so I need you to summon a lot of earth chakra.”

When he seemed ready, she would continue. She generated earth chakra to her palms and touched her palms to the clone; however, instead of channeling her chakra into the clone, she dispersed it. “I want you to take that earth chakra, and think about this clone becoming one with the earth beneath our den, and I need you to make contact with the body.” All he would need to do is make contact with the clone in order to disintegrate the body, though it was probably that he wouldn’t absorb anything because it wasn’t truly dead. [Complete Body Vanish Kill Joy]

“Alright, so this next one is really cool. It generates a dragon – and usually dragon techniques are associated with every other element other than earth because of how ‘fluid’ those elements appear. However, there’s a rather interesting earth and stone dragon that is very sustainable.” She focused her chakra to her hands, and then brought them together. She’d have to show off the hand seals, even though she didn’t require them.

She made them slowly, not wanting to show off and end up with a chaotic mess instead of an earth dragon. She used the technique, causing the earth just outside of the den to form a dragon from the outside materials. The dragon curled around as she wished it as it rose. Her hands were still on the floor, channeling chakra into the ground.

The dragon finally had lift off from the earth, shaking it a bit in the process of freeing itself. The dragon seemed to move with a mind of its own, and might entice Zetsu to go to the window in order to watch it closer. The dragon began to act as Artemis instructed, hitting at the air with its tail, teeth, and claws. She had it do a flip or two in the earth before sending it back into the ground, dispersing the technique once it was back mostly in the fashion it had come from. She’d still need to fix the ground before they left, in order to avoid suspicion. [Earth and Stone Dragon]

She would leave him to practice the earth technique. “I’ll be upstairs, come up when you’ve finished.” It was a better teaching style to stay and walk him through it, but she needed a power nap and she figured such a difficult, versatile technique would either cause Zetsu a struggle, or he’d have enough fun with manipulating the stone dragon as to buy her enough time to catch a few Zzz’s.

She would need to use the bath water as she had before, when practicing with her clone. She filled it up after her nap, running a hand in it even though the temperature didn’t really matter. When Zetsu came upstairs, she presented the water like it was something special. “Hey! You ready for, mm, let’s do something water-y. So the technique I have in mind is kinda dangerous to do outdoors so lemme teach you how to do it, but don’t actually do it.”

She used her hand seals to channel her suiton nature. It showed in her chakra, which appeared to have a more visible, easy flow to it. It seemed more pronounced, like her fish sage training had had such a deep effect on her that it altered her chakra materialization. She was careful about the seals and her chakra movements; she wouldn’t wanna actually cast this jutsu.

“Okay so we call this the raging river force jutsu because, you guessed it, it has the force of a raging river. It generates water which is useable for other techniques, but you’ve got to be careful because it’s quick to flood areas. Like this one. I should also mention that this technique is terribly strong and will tear through stone walls and such with ease. So you need to study the hand seals and the chakra manipulation, but absolutely do not use this technique indoors unless you know how to breathe underwater.” [Raging River Force]
She stifled a yawn. Ah, this teaching business was fun but man she’d had the craziest week of her life and she just needed a bit of a coma to recover. Oh well, just one more. “Okay, for this last one, you should know that it combines with a rasengan.” She generated one with ease, just in case he’d already forgotten the technique. “Okay, so this wind – er, maruton technique, is a great basis. I should have mentioned earlier that this can have a lot of augments and additions.”

“One such, is the water technique I’m gonna show you. Combining it with a rasengan generates a water rasengan. Unfortunately, this combination only functions well with fuuton so… well, I guess I shouldn’t have built up your hopes. Sorry.” She actually looked sheepish about it for a moment. “I’ll find a rasengan variable that you can do, don’t sweat it. Anyways, this is a technique that basically generates water. It’s not that special when you aren’t combining it, but perhaps you can use it in the field to combine with my rasengan.”

She shook around her rasengan in her hand to emphasize her point. “I want you to form these seals.” She released the rasengan and made each seal. “Then, generate your suiton chakra. However, once more, you won’t be actually performing this technique, as we haven’t korabo’d enough to make the water rasengan. We have to be more in sync with each other for this to work, y’know. But that’s ok! Just be careful of your chakra molding and seals, and don’t mix this one up with the other suiton you’ll have to practice later. But I consider both of these techniques to be learned by you, you’ll only need to test them out later to see if you like them.” [Destruction Torrent]

“So how was that for a crash course in ninjutsu?”

Kuchiyose no Jutsu [ Summoning Technique ]
Official Description: The Summoning Technique is a space–time ninjutsu that allows the summoner to transport animals or people across long distances instantly via blood. Before an animal summoning can be performed, a prospective summoner must first sign a contract with a given species. The contract comes in the form of a scroll, on which the contractor uses their own blood to sign their name and place their fingerprints and once signed it is valid even after the contractor’s death as long as the contract itself remains intact. After this they need only offer an additional donation of blood on the hand they signed the contract with, mold their chakra with hand seals and then plant the hand they signed the contract with at the location they wish to summon the creature. The amount of chakra used during the summoning determines how powerful the summoned creature can be. It should be noted that anyone can summon a contracted animal as long as they have the blood from someone who has made a contract, the seal of the summoned creature, along with a source of sufficient chakra that the summon will accept. A creature is capable of determining who is attempting to summon it from the chakra used. In the anime, it was shown that if a user attempts to summon an animal without first signing a contract, the user will be teleported to the home of the animal they have a natural affinity for.
Guild Description: See official description. Allows for DNA contracts between living entities. Learning this jutsu adds in a new section to the character’s profile; just as they have Ninjutsu slot limits, this jutsu adds in Kuchiyose slot limits. The number of Kuchiyose slots is determined by the number of that character’s Ninjutsu slot limit. The Kuchiyose limit, however, is not affected by PAs, limit-increasing scrolls, expansion libraries, or other aspects unless specifically bought/crafted/worded to be aimed at increasing the Kuchiyose section. Simply put; the base amount of Ninjutsu slots, as determined by your character’s chosen classes, are your Kuchiyose slots. Takes one [1] Kuchiyose slot.

Hahonryuu [ Destruction Torrent ]
Rank: A
Official Description: Suiton • Hahonryuu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. To use this technique Yamato will generate water to use against his opponent. This technique was seen in conjunction with Naruto's Wind Element Rasengan. These two attacks combined together to form Gufuu Suika, a large rotating water and wind vortex.
Guild Description: See official description. This is essentially a Water Rasengan, but without the cutting power.

Kyouzamashi [ Complete Body Vanish Kill Joy ]
Rank: A
Official Description: This technique is meant to be used once the opponent is dead or nearly dead. If it hits the opponent, their body is disintegrated completely and can never be recovered through anything but Edo Tensei. Upon the initial effect, their information will be transferred to the user's body, giving them vital information about Bloodlines or Clans or their own techniques. This will allow the user to learn one of the target's techniques, including any possible customs.
Guild Description: The user simply needs to place their hands upon the body for the official description to enact.

Gekiryuu Chikara [ Raging River Force ]
Rank: A
Official Description: This technique is similar to the Water Torrent technique, save for a few key differences. Firstly, the power of this technique is enough to tear down most stone walls and defenses, not to mention defenses made of weaker materials. Secondly, this technique produces enough water to flood a small area. This technique can fill an area of 400 square feet (a 20x20 square) with approximately a foot of water.
Guild Description: See official description.

Dosekiryuu [ Earth and Stone Dragon ]
Rank: A
Official Description: The user creates a dragon made from the ground to attack the opponent.
Guild Description: See official description. The dragon lasts for up to 5 posts and can be directed if the user is still while using the technique. The dragon is a traditional Chinese-style and twenty feet long. It can use projectile techniques the user knows, as well as formless strikes with teeth, claws and tail up to A rank. However it has only one activation per post. Can be destroyed by techniques A-rank and higher.
Rasengan [ Spiral Sphere ]
Rank: A
Official Description: Rasengan was a Ninjutsu technique developed over the span of three years by the Fourth Hokage. The technique was taught to his sensei Jiraiya, who then passed it on to the young Shinobi Naruto years later. Like Kage Bunshin, Naruto would adopt the technique as a signature move and make it all his own. The technique is unlike other Jutsu in that it does not require any hand seals, it just relied on the Shinobi's ability to mold Chakra. The Shinobi concentrates a contained, fast, rotating sphere of Chakra in the palm of their hand which can cause much destructive impact.
Thus the technique was pure shape manipulation of Chakra, unlike most elemental techniques which are shape and nature manipulation. Hatake Kakashi stated the technique was unfinished for this reason, as the Fourth Hokage did not get a chance to add some form of nature manipulation to it and it was even unclear whether it is even possible for an elemental nature to be added. Naruto dedicated himself to this task though, in the hopes of fusing his Wind elemental nature with the Rasengan's shape manipulation. He eventually succeeded after long and hard training, which took advantage of Kage Bunshin's memory absorption capabilities. He was able to finish the Jutsu in the span of a few weeks what would have taken a normal Shinobi numerous years. The new Wind Element version was thus named Fuuton: Rasengan.
Guild Description: See official description.

Chou Chakra Rasengan [ Super Chakra Spiral Sphere ]
Rank: X Usually A
Official Description: Chou Chakra Rasengan is a combination Ninjutsu technique used by Uzumaki Naruto and the Demon Country shrine maiden Shion. The two individuals used this technique to seal away Mouryou, a demon who sought to rule the world. At the core of the jutsu was Shion's bell, which held her true power to seal away Mouryou. Around Shion's sealing Chakra Naruto poured his own to create a huge Rasengan sphere with enough power and sealing Chakra to end the threat of Mouryou.
Guild Description: See official description.

Zetsu looked to Artemis with bright eyes and and open mind. Her attitude toward him seems to be much better but he could tell that he caused internal problems for her. The way she bit back her words sometimes left him feeling left out. Luckily she was speaking to him now and that’s all he could ask for. He listens to her words intently, following every detail. He had already been instructed by the great sage on how to summon but this was a great refresher. Art explained things from a shinobis perspective, making the technique all that much more understandable. He placed his had on his own slug seal and performed the jutsu. In a small puff of smoke, appeared a small slug who greeted himself as Raiko. And as soon as he appeared he was gone.
[Kuchiyose no Jutsu [ Summoning Technique ] C

Next she would show him a technique that left him in awe. There was a spiraling ball of magnificent blue light and he knew that she was passing on something quite special. Focusing his chakra into the palm of his hand, Zetsu imagined that there was an invisible orb in his palm, inside this orb Zetsu would pour large amounts of chakra into the orb, focusing on Sperm and control. Artemis was an excellent instructor. Even though it was smaller than hers, he managed to manifest the Justus just as she had. And upon releasing the jutsu on a tree, he realized the level of destruction he had just be gifted.
[Rasengan [ Spiral Sphere ] A

As Artemis explained the Justus, all Zetsu could focus on was the fact that he could seal away a great beast with this technique. As she instructed, Zetsu formed sever hand seals and held out his hand. The orb appeared instantly. This could be due to the previous Rasengan training had put him through. The warmth from the jutsu was intoxicating, and the appearance was breathtaking. His was nowhere near as bright or dense as Arts but he was happy with what he could produce. Zetsu would maneuver around the area while holding the orb, just to get a feel for how heavy it would be if at all. And he was pleased to discover that it bore no weight.
[Chou Chakra Rasengan [ Super Chakra Spiral Sphere ] X (A)

This technique kinda frightened Zetsu. Artemis was informing him that he had Houous blood which means that he has the same elemental affinity. Zetsu never felt like the water type but he could definitely relate to earth. Art was very adamant on the dangers of this jutsu so instead she taught him the proper hand seals and how he should be picturing the manifestations of the technique in his head. He practiced the seals several times but never activated the jutsu. Zetsu was so tempted to leave the village and really test this technique but he would have to be patient and train what Artemis had taught him.
Gekiryuu Chikara [ Raging River Force ] A

Similar to the last technique. Artemis strictly forbid Zetsu to practice this near the base or any civilization. The amount of damage it would leave behind would give shishin a bad name. Again he would follow her while she ran through the hand seals, committing the movements to memory. She also had very insightful things to say about korabo and how they could become more in sync with one another. Zetsu could only imagine the possibilities of fusing his jutsu with hers. He also hoped the day wouldn’t come where they fought someone that strong.
Hahonryuu [ Destruction Torrent ]
Rank: A

The description Artemis gave of the technique was quite terrifying to think about. When activating this jutsu he would need to be very careful as to where he placed his hand. Forming the proper hand seals, Zetsu activators technique. He would feel a tens pressure but it caused no pain. He inspected his hand momentarily and tried his best to remember this sensation. Next he would just need to focus on making the clone one with ten earth. Placing his hand on the back of the clone, she would begin to disintegrate until it pooped just before his eyes. He would then look to Artemis with sadness in his eyes.
Kyouzamashi [ Complete Body Vanish Kill Joy ] A

For the last technique Zetsu didn’t believe what artemis was saying. He couldn’t wrap his mind around creating a dragon from rocks. How would it fly? This was going to be interesting to watch. And sure enough, Artemis formed some seals and a massive Dragon began to pull itself from the earth. Roaring and spreading it wings. After it’s crash Landon into the dirt, the young boy was amazed to see how little Artemis had disturbed the surrounding earth. Forming the hand seals she has taught him, he would fail the first few attempts. That is until about the sixth try, upon holding his hand seal, Zetsu would feel a familiar rumbling at his few. Just just the same, huis Dragon ripped itself from the earth, gave a great roar, then took to the skies. Just like that Zetsu had returned the Dragon to the earth and collapsed himself. He was exhausted and surely out of chakra.
Dosekiryuu [ Earth and Stone Dragon ] A

thank you so much for the training Artemis. You have helped me in greater ways than you could imagine
With a bow, Zetsu taught back the urge to says something corny like “ I know I could never fill Houous shores but I will do my part” no one wanted to hear that crap, Artemis least of all. Zetsu would then head upstairs and lay his head down,

Zetsu awoke from his slumber and headed out into town. He was deathly bored and felt very weak for some reason. Maybe a walk around town or a meal at the bar would lift his spirits.

Zetsu entered the den after exiting from the streets, feeling less then optimal. Perhaps it was best for a bit of a rest.

Following the instructions left to him by the other members, Taketori lead Parovati to the Den of Loyalty. Taketori looked around with a slightly puzzled look on his face. The description did mention it was atop a tree-filled hill. This seemed to go further beyond tree-filled here... It reminded him for Houou, but they did not have a Senju, did they?

"Welcome to the Den of Loyalty." That was when Taketori felt a voice speak to him from his communicator. It sounded like Atsuko, reporting in. He took out the device and stared it. How did it work. They went through this with him, but there were so many buttons and knobs and while he was certain he memorized the instructions, taking a second look at it was incredibly daunting. Taketori handed it to Parovati instead.

"Atsuko, the other man you met in the Hospital. Here, introduce yourself. It seems he has an errand, let him know your skills and perhaps he will see a need." Taketori said to Paro. In the mean time, he'd begin some training.

Taketori Kaguya Training (Post A)

Taijutsu Training Reduction: -8 posts (-6 posts from Taijutsu class, -1 post from Rogue reduction, -1 post from Kaguya Bloodline) as well -2 posts (-10 total) to Hsing-I-Pakua from Monk subclass
Hsing-I-Pakua [Stage Six] training

Taketori returned to the Sasagi City safehouse Shishin had set up. He had spent a lot of time in the hospital and felt the need to train hard. He had a lot of catching up to do, especially with the rest of Shishin who had grown stronger. Still recovering, he decided to start with meditation. True belief was valuable in his growth. He felt himself grow stronger from thinking of it.
[ True Belief (S) learned. +25 Stamina (and Chakra, from Kaguya clan) for every style mastered ]

He created a series of clones to practice his technique on. He moved forward into the clone, dropping low to avoid incoming attacks. Taketori exploded forward afterwards. He performed a double-rising uppercut into the chin of his doppelganger. Launching his clone into the air, he then proceeded to launch gut-punches. At the end, he slammed his foot into the clone’s torso. It exploded with a puff of smoke.
[ Entering Rising Dragon learned ]

Kneading Unicorn was a defensive technique. As the clone launched an attack against him, Taketori charged his defending limb with chakra. When the clone made contact, he absorbed the technique’s energy. He felt the strike lose power and then began to utilize it himself. Adding his own energy, he returned the strike to his clone. A chakra fist extended out for a twenty-meter ranged punch. It was a hard technique to use. He knew he couldn’t use it more than three times a fight or so. And not only that, he’d be hard-pressed to perform it again so quickly. Absorbing and redirecting kinetic energy was no easy feat, it was more finesse than brute strength here.
[ Kneading Unicorn learned ]

Taketori felt sore after the two techniques. He was still recovering from a near-death experience. He began exploring his own inner motivations and spirit. He knew it wasn’t mind over matter, but mind into matter. He slowly began moving with careful input from his mind. He felt his body grow stronger and respond more accordingly. His strength and fortitude increased with this combined exercise of mind and matter.
[ Satori [ Enlightenment ] learned. Hsing-I-Pakua mastered ]
Kyouzou (Mirror Image) [Stage Six]

Mirror Image was the signature technique of Kyouzou. It held many uses and applied great pressure to opponents. Taketori spent some time going over his capabilities. There possessed many techniques it synergized well with. The technique was a supplement to another one and thus was asking for incredible amounts of chakra. Coming up with his list, he returned to the dojo. In the center of the dojo he placed a training dummy. He launched a simple punch to begin. A ring of solid afterimages, six in total, appeared. Each one also launched their own punch at the training dummy. Taking all of the hits, the training dummy shattered. It blew apart under so many impacts. Next was a technique he had seen in theory. He kept a clone in the center and ran at it, launching a Lariat. Activating Mirror Image, the ring of clones appeared. As he and the clone directly across from him impacted, it beheaded his target-clone.
[ Mirror Image learned ]

Next was another chakra-intensive technique for Taketori to learn. Called Spider’s Fury, it created afterimages of one’s movement. An absurd amount of them. Activating the ability, he took it to the limit. Taketori then began moving his limbs to get a feel for it. The amount appearing truly shocked him. 24 solid after-images when training at S-rank. He wiggled his fingers and then his hands. The trail of images were mind-boggling. Incredibly disorienting and supposedly they’d all perform his technique too. The technique wasn’t about making after-images of his whole body but of his specific limbs. He aimed a punch at the air and saw his after-images punch through. It was not an easy technique to maintain at this high level. However, the power it promised was devastating. If anyone was hit by 24 follow up techniques that would likely destroy a man outright. He could use it at lower-levels to supplement basic hits too.
[ Spider’s Fury learned ]

After the training, Taketori decided to rest up. Moving upstairs to a bed, he’d also activate the false sleep technique until he recovered the next day.

Hard Physical [ Locked Formless ] Training [S-rank]

Upon waking up, Taketori decided to review basics to start. Nothing too fancy here, just hard physical attacks and blocks. While other techniques had lots of fanciful options, it was still important to remember the roots. He activated his Bolstering Armor, allowing him to recover 50 stamina a post, for his training. With it active and without being in the heat of combat, he’d be hard pressed to run out of stamina so long as he took care. First was punching. While he had a myriad of different techniques, a straight punch was a straight punch through and through. Hook, uppercuts, jabs, haymakers. Blocking was important too. Having the physical stamina to withstand strong blows was often times all it was. Using it as a base, he could extrapolate it to his armored fighting styles. This included both physical armor, like the Kishitou Yoroi, and Chakra Armor, like the Kaiser Fist. After running through a gauntlet of basic training, Taketori was satisfied he had reinforced the roots of some of his combat styles.
[S-rank]
Soft Physical [ Formless ] Training [D-rank to S-rank]

To pair with his hard physical style was soft physical. Rather than being direct, this was more indirect. Taketori practiced some basic parries and throws on a clone.
[D-rank]
With his experience and his other styles, it came naturally to him. As with Hard Physical, this was another strong root to support his fighting tree. He’d start his initial training focus on parries.
[C-rank]
Taketori was finding that the style was not reliant on his physical strength as much. As a result, even the clone he was using as a sparring partner was able to get in some parries. Each of their attacks were light and probing, waiting for the other to make a mistake.
[B-rank]
Moving around each other, they sized the other up. This was arguably unnecessary given that they were the exact same person and thus, Taketori made the next move. He threw out a light punch. The clone made a move to parry it. Taketori was expecting this and used the momentum of the parry to move himself. He managed to get into a grappling position. Lifting the shadow clone, he threw him to the ground.
[A-rank]

Now was the time to solidify his mastery of the Soft Physical. He created a series of ten clones and had them surround him. One on one versus a clone was simply unfair, after all. However, with this style of training it would force him to enhance his parrying, mobility, and throwing. After all, one misstep and his clones would pile on. Taketori knew himself well enough. If he was a clone, he would not show himself mercy. When the shadow clones finished the encirclement, one threw a fingerbone into the air. When it landed, they all burst into motion. Taketori was finding himself in the middle of a flurry of blows. He put his training into practice. First began mobility, moving out from his vulnerable position. Parrying a blow, he redirected the momentum into a throw and created a clearing. Fending off blows while, he moved in optimal patterns. This kept only two or three clones on him at a time. With his throws able to take out multiple clones, he soon completed the training satisfied.
[S-rank]
TarenKen and TarenKyaku [ Multi-Connecting Fist and Leg ]

Taketori gave the Multi-Connecting Fist and Leg formless technique a try. With Kyouzou, he could create another set of arms. Using that technique, he would need this one to ensure its usefulness. On top of that he had a Cursed Seal too that gave him this tail-hands. Practicing his multi-limb techniques, he got them strong enough to be a threat.

Kishitou Yoroi (Knight’s Blade, the Armor) [Stage Six]

-9 Training reduction (S-rank Hard Physical formless)
Finishing up his morning practice of the basics, Taketori took a combat break for some studying. If what he was doing could be called studying. Gathering up various pieces of equipment, such as a wooden plank, one of his femurs, and pieces of light armor, he looked over them. He felt each one carefully, familiarizing himself with it. For his armor technique before he applied it to the makeshift suit he had made. Yet that was inconvenient to always have to carry around. He would like to utilize it on other things were his thoughts. So he started going over other protective armaments and channeling armor reinforcement techniques into them. Seeing that it was a success, he felt better about his distaste for always wearing armor. He had a bloodline jutsu that granted him physical armor anyways.
[ Kishitou [ Knight’s Blade ] learned ]

Now Taketori headed outside for the next part. Zetsu had created a multitude of wooden structures he could fortunately practice with too. He was here because this next technique was quite damaging. He had a feeling Shishin would be less than pleased with him if he damaged or destroyed their hideout during training. This was sort of the epitome of the style. Like how the Nigirikobushi style denied armor, this denied armor-bypassing effects. Stomping on the ground, cracks radiated out from Taketori for five meters. He had charged his foot with chakra. As he had done so, his chakra started dispersing upwards from the cracks. Sound, gas, and other techniques that bypassed armor were ineffective against him so long as he remained in the area. It did not last forever and had to be reapplied when he moved. Still, it was a great technique to have in his repertoire. After all, he was getting rather worried about poisons, especially given how their tunnel mission had went. The UHV seemed to love their gasses.
[ Ooyure [ Turbulence ] learned ]
Formless Style Training – Medium Bladed Weapon: Longsword [D-rank to S-rank]
[-2 posts of training reduction for Buki]

Flexing his body, Taketori expended some chakra and pulled out his humerus bone from his shoulder blade. He expended extra chakra to mold it and ensure it had a European style cross-guard. He wanted to practice with what was a foreign weapon to him. He gave his bone longsword a few swings to get used to the weight. It handled differently from katanas, not that he had much katana training either. There were some specific things he found himself going back over with his bone to better mimic an actual longsword.
[D-rank training in 2 posts]

The crossguard especially was something he was not used to. As a member of the Kaguya clan, they had little worry about sword fights. However, it seemed that the cross guard was an important part of the sword. It affected how it interacted versus other weapons. With the bone as hard and sharp as steel, it even had the double edges. Well for now, he’d continue with the practice swings. The aim was for a hundred swings of the longsword. With each swing, Taketori grew more familiar with it. These were just basic swings. Up and down, side to side, diagonal slashes. As he neared 100, he felt comfortable with handling the blade at an intermediate level. Now he wanted to see how it interacted with others.
[C-rank training in 4 posts]

To facilitate the next part of his training, Taketori set up various items. He created a series of bone pillars with varying densities. He also used some of Zetsu’s leftover wood. A few pieces of armor he had salvaged were set up as well. He had spent some time swinging his sword around, sure. Now he wanted to get a feel for how it hit things. He started with some basic bones. For the less dense ones, slicing through was no problem. The denser they got though, the harder it was for his own bone sword to penetrate. It bounced off, clanged, and just generally didn’t have the sharpness to cut through such strong material. Trying out the wood was similar to low density bones. In some of the larger pieces of wood or even the pillars, the sword got stuck. The wood was soft and yielding. However that also made it hard to pull out. That’s when Taketori discovered leverage. The longsword had a lot of leverage points. He could use both hands on the handle or he could even grab it midway. The European-style cross guard too was capable of being leveraged.
[B-rank training in 6 posts]

Now he moved on to the armor. As expected, lighter armor just required a little bit of strength to break through. It wasn’t difficult to do, especially at his level. Medium armor proved a mere interesting challenge here. Some portions were actually quite durable. He found leverage useful here. With the right grip, he could manage some penetration. This definitely called for the use of both hands. Armor had weak points as well and on an opponent, he’d be able to exploit that. So he swung wildly at a few places to discover what areas felt like they had more give. Heavy armor was the last one. He had used some of his own bones to help reinforce it as he had very few pieces of the heavy gear. Unsurprisingly, simple swings did not do that much damage. While his bones were as hard as steel, he was literally hitting steel with them. Sure, hard swings seemed to leave dents here and there… Hmm, perhaps bludgeoning damage was the way to go then? He flipped how he held his bone sword and reversed it. The ball of the bone acted as a makeshift pommel. With that, he slammed it against the armor, leaving a golf-ball sized dent. Anyone behind it would feel some serious damage there. When you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail. And thus Taketori returned to his previous too-hard-to-cut bones and began smashing them too. This time the damage was more noticeable. After a few good thwacks, the bones were pulverized into pieces. Yes, so the long sword did have other ways of dealing with armor.
[A-rank training in 8 posts]

Now he felt better used to the longsword. He had swung it versus just the air to get a feel for its weight. He had swung it versus a whole variety of objects. He learned how it reacted to hard objects and soft ones differently. Most importantly, he learned how to use the sword itself for leverage. Taketori was actually impressed. The longsword almost had this multi-tool level of functionality. The blade itself was dangerous of course. The cross guard could be used to catch other weapons and also for leverage. The pommel was usable for smashing opponents. He quite liked that. Most katanas did have pommels but that wasn’t their function. Now then, he’d really put it to the challenge. He wasn’t sure the most effective way to master the longsword. Well, for Soft Physical he had summoned a whole bunch of clones… Why not do it again? It was quite effective, he felt. Especially since his clones’ disappearance transferred to him knowledge of receiving the strikes.

Making the hand sign, he summoned a series of shadow clones. Each one carried their own bone sword. This was a more straight forward training at least. Whereas with Soft Physical, he needed them to come at him from all angles. For just the longsword, Taketori wanted to see what it was like to trade blows. Two clones stepped up first. As they swung, he met their swing with his own bone. The three swords collided. The clones were overpowering him, with their man advantage. He tried to escape the bind. Yet the clones seemed to instinctively follow, trapping his blade. He dashed back a larger distance. This was more challenging than he expected. Rushing back in, he tried isolation this time. He made sure one clone was always between him and the other. This would prevent them from easily overpowering him. With a swift strike, he managed to get in an attack on one clone. It disappeared in a puff of smoke. As it did, knowledge flooded in. Ah, the bind was how they knew. So that was an important piece of the puzzle. Binding with the other clone, Taketori experienced it for himself. While he had no read the first time from fighting two of himself, he could feel the pressure now. If the other clone tried to disengage he could feel pressure on his blade lift. And using that knowledge, he switched to a thrust. The last clone poofed away as well.
[S-rank training in 10 posts]

Kaiser Fist [Stage Six]

[9 post reduction. -6 from class, -1 from clan, -1 from Rogue, -1 from Hard Physical S-rank]

Now he was here at the finale of the Kaiser Fist. The previous armors had all been building up to this one. This wasn’t a moment to rush, Taketori began to concentrate on his chakra and stamina. He could feel it pass through the different points on his body. He held it at various places just to see if he could. This took some stamina too for him. Then, feeling better about it, Taketori externalized it all. A huge burst of energy created a crackling aura about him. He began shouting as he felt his body energize. He used all the previous Armor techniques he knew for it. Building up on itself, this was the final product. As it stabilized, he rested a moment to get used to it. He could feel his strength, speed, and reflexes increase significantly.
[Kaiser Armor learned in 4 posts. Advanced Training: Concentrate completed in 3.]

Now Taketori had learned the ultimate armor. This was the one its original founder had finalized. That meant it was time to learn the ultimate punch. He maintained the armor active for the duration. This punch was not something to be trained in at this location so he went outside as far from the city limits as he could. He’d need to be incredibly careful with it. Taketori continued to concentrate, this time focusing on his stamina more so than his chakra. The technique still required chakra but his Armor was helping stabilize it. He began charging up power in his fist. He felt an earth-shattering force build up… It felt dangerous. After charging enough of his power, he felt his body could hold it no longer. Launching himself forward, Taketori aimed the punch skyward, so as to hit nothing. The recoil of it was still enough to land him flat on his back and completely dispel his armor. The energy sent skyward created a ripple-effect through the air. Gathering himself, he took a long hike back to Sasagi.
[Kaiser Fist learned in 4 posts. Advanced Training: Concentrate completed in 3.]

King of the Iron Fist [Stages One to Six]
[-9 post training reduction]
Stage One
Taketori decided to tackle a new style. With Bolstering Armor active, constantly regenerating his Stamina, he began training. First was a simple Front Jab.
[Front Jab learned]

Next was a Back Punch. He had used it many times before with many other styles. He pushed with his back leg and shifted his hips, dropping a simple but effective punch.
[Back Punch learned]

Foot Sweep was as it sounded. Taketori practiced the sweeping motion on the mat of the dojo. It was a technique that was easy to follow up on.
[Foot Sweep learned]

Taketori practiced some blocks. His ability to tense, stabilize, and execute hard blocks and strikes had increased. He felt stronger from it, learning things from a different perspective.
[Iron Uumph trained. Stage One completed]

Finishing up the first part of this new style, Taketori decided to do some contemplation. He would do some additional basic training. Why? Who knew. He had trained so much anyways. He was a very experienced martial artist. But still he had to train his body extra with this style. He focused on explosive power, endurance, strength, and mental/physical toughness. Not that he hadn’t before. He had plenty of that.
Stage Two
Taketori horizontally twisted his hip as he was stepping forward. He aimed a strong elbow at an imaginary enemy. It could also be a block, he realized. Or it could redirect an enemy attack with armor active.
[Horizontal Elbow learned]

Now he shifted forward and pushed with his hips. He unleashed a powerful upward elbow instead this time. It was a lot like the other elbow, except this was stronger with armor.
[Vertical Elbow learned]

He had practiced Foot Sweep earlier. Now he was practicing Disarming Foot Sweep. It worked by using an elbow to disarm an opponent. Then Taketori would push and foot sweep at the same time, putting him in a position to have the opponent’s weapon while the opponent was down.
[Disarming Foot Sweep learned]

He had been practicing in his armor technique a lot. He understood what it felt like. Especially since he already learned a different armor technique before this one.
[Iron Resiliency trained, Stage Two completed]

Finishing up the 2nd stage of this new style, Taketori decided to do some additional practices. It seemed redundant to him but if that’s what learning this Style called for he’d do it.

Stage Three:
He moved his hips in a pendulum motion. Then he thrusted his up towards an invisible target. The impact force would be devastating.
[Straight Knee learned]

Next was a roundhouse kick, or a round knee. The knee was the main assault, as the knee is a very strong part of the body. However if the knee missed, it was easy to transition into a kick.
[Round Knee/Round Kick learned]
Taketori practiced this on a clone. After a knee, he wrapped around the clone’s neck. He lifted up the clone and performed a Suplex. It wasn’t something new for him. Probably the third suplex technique he had practiced so far.
[Suplex Take-down learned]

There’s an old saying: “kill with one punch”. Taketori did not know who said it but it was a wise saying. It valued efficiency and power. He trained with a focus on grounding, stability, and strength. He felt himself become stronger as a result.
[Iron Disciple trained. Stage Three completed]
Finishing up the 3rd stage of this new style, Taketori decided to do some additional practices. It seemed redundant to him but if that’s what learning this Style called for he’d do it.
Stage Four:
Now he torqued his hips and allowed his relaxed arm to shoot out to the side, turn over, and move across the center line. The striking surface of it varied. Armor would increase the striking power of the technique. It could cause all sorts of head trauma.
[Ridge Hand Strike learned]

Next was an uppercut. He would duck out to the side of an attack. Following through, he would gather power and explode upwards. The strike had a lot of potential. It could even disrupt stances by knocking an enemy off their footing.
[Blast Uppercut learned]

Next was a general disarm. The technique had a lot of focus on hips already. Extrapolating there, Taketori practiced this throw. He’d be able to throw and disarm someone at the same time. There were a whole series of throws he could do using these basics.
[Hip/shoulder throw disarm learned]

The Iron Clinch was a serious technique. Taketori summoned a clone to practice it. Rushing forward, he thrust his forearms into the clone’s clavicle and wrapped the back of his hand around the clone’s neck. He maintained this as long as he could, expending extra stamina. It wasn’t something that could be used readily again and again.
[Iron Clinch learned. Stage Four completed]
Finishing up the 4th stage of this new style, Taketori decided to do some additional practices. It seemed redundant to him but if that’s what learning this Style called for he’d do it.
Stage Five
Another elbow technique, this time it was overhand. He moved his arms as though he was swimming. Then he dropped it like a guillotine.
[Overhand Elbow learned]

This was for attacking enemies on the ground. Taketori would drop a knee onto the opponent to keep them in place. He’d aim a powerful punch at them simultaneously, attacking from two different angles. If it doesn’t take down the opponent in one punch, he’d be able to continue raining down blows.
[Iron Drop learned]
Taketori practiced this technique through visualization. It launched a series of assaults into an opponent’s attacking limb, staying clear of the weapon even accounting for armor. This would be more effective against an armed opponent as he deftly would keep the weapon away from himself.
[Iron Barrier learned]

Taketori had done a lot of throwing and beating, and been on the receiving end via clones too. He was both physically and mentally more resilient to getting his a** beat now. He had learned a lot of styles too. He felt himself grow stronger from all the techniques he had learned.
[Iron Resolve trained. Stage Five completed]

Now Taketori had finished the 5th style of training. He felt much stronger, gaining that surge of power from his new Iron Resolve. Now, it was time to take it home. With his Vambraces, training wasn’t easy. Yet thanks to Bolstering Armor he had managed superbly. Now it was time to truly embody what it meant to be the King of the Iron Fist. A rebel in mind and body. The history of the style was fascinating. With that, Taketori steeled himself for the last of his training. He would complete this and become a powerful Iron Fist user.
Stage Six:
Now these were the more complicated techniques of the style, even for a seasoned Taijutsu user such as Taketori. One was the Iron Block. The idea behind it was creating a powerful collision. It would supposedly hit so hard and heavily that an opponent would lose hold of their weapon. It could also throw them off-balance, opening up a counter-attack opportunity. Taketori created a clone for this out of bone. It would grant it greater durability at least than his shadow clones. He and the clone sparred, with him using Iron Block to disarm and throw it off-balance whenever it attacked. He made a real performance out of it too.
[Iron Block learned in 3 posts. Advanced Training: Performance completed in 3 posts.]

Now he jumped forward. He threw his leg back to his hip while unleashing a vicious superman punch. He covered a lot of distance with the maneuver. It was a technique that would help versus the range of a weapon. What would be even more terrifying is in armor, such as his bone cloak, he’d be a flying armored bone man. It was quite the mental image. He observed the damage done to the clone. The Kaguya bones on it gave it great durability. Still, the range of possibility was large. It could likely break a normal man’s bones, or even knock them out if it landed right. He had put on a real performance with that flying leap.
[Flying Iron Strike learned. Completed Advanced Training: Performance]

Next was another disarm technique. The clone assumed an attack stance. Taketori rushed in. He avoided the clone’s attacks. The clone had created a bone longsword at Taketori’s command. He squeezed the elbow of the clone. Then he strongly gripped its neck bones. He had to use his imagination a little bit here. He was extrapolating as though the clone wasn’t just the skeleton of a Kaguya. He lifted the clone up. This was followed by a vicious slam, the Iron Slam, onto the ground. It could cause intensive internal trauma but it was a skeleton clone, again. Still the technique was strong enough to break it. The longsword had been disarmed with the heavy impact.
[Iron Slam and Disarm learned.]

Taketori dispelled his armor technique. Now he was going to practice without it. The Bolstering Armor wasn’t a serious drag on him to be honest. Still, without it active he did admit that the techniques felt different. He went back over everything he had learned, just to make sure he had the feel and timing right. It wasn’t too difficult. As he already learned the techniques once, they only took half as much training to learn. And given his prowess, this meant they could be learned in 1 post. Even the S-ranks.

Taketori began training the style. Now he wasn’t using an armor technique or wearing armor. To begin: a basic front jab.
[Front Jab re-learned]

Next was a Back Punch. He had used it many times before with many other styles. He pushed with his back leg and shifted his hips, dropping a simple but effective punch.
[Back Punch re-learned]

Relearning Foot Sweep was no harder than learning it the first time. Taketori practiced the sweeping motion on the mat of the dojo. It was a technique that was easy to follow up on.
[Foot Sweep re-learned]

He threw a horizontal elbow. It was all about the hip. Without armor it did feel faster.
[Horizontal Elbow re-learned.]

Next was the Vertical Elbow. Still about the hip, this technique was not as strong without armor. That was something important for him to have learned.
[Vertical Elbow re-learned.]

Disarming Foot Sweep was faster without his armor. Well that was a built-in effect of him being without armor really. It was still the same sweeping motion.
[Disarming Foot Sweep re-learned.]

Straight Knee was another technique less powerful in armor. That made sense given the doubling up of hard objects. Though Taketori was a Kaguya still, his bones could become as hard as steel.
[Straight Knee re-learned.]

Round Kick felt better without armor. It was easier to move without restriction. He practiced the knee into the kick for those who dodged the knee but not far away enough.
[Round Knee/Round Kick re-learned.]

The suplex was nothing special. He already had practiced it so many times. Doing it without armor was almost second nature to him now.
[Suplex Take-down relearned.]

Ridge-hand strike was interesting to do without armor. The speed of it would certainly pose a threat. And again, as a Kaguya not having armor wasn’t a problem. He didn’t plan on wearing it most of the time.
[Ridge Hand Strike re-learned.]
He practiced Blast Uppercut with a clone. He would duck out to the side of an attack. Following through, he would gather power and explode upwards. The strike had a lot of power to it and it launched the clone off its feet.
[Blast Uppercut re-learned.]

Taketori practiced different throws. Without armor it was much easier to move himself. The flexibility of the technique allowed for him to practice a lot.
[Hip/shoulder throw disarm re-learned.]

Taketori grabbed his clone in the Iron Clinch. It wasn’t really different without armor. After only a little bit he just let the clone go.
[Iron Clinch re-learned.]

Another elbow technique! He felt like he had done a lot of those. This one used the elbow like an axe, dropping it with great power.
[Overhand Elbow relearned.]

He took the clone to the ground. He brought it to the ground. He repeatedly rained blows on it, having a punching dummy was actually quite useful.
[Iron Drop re-learned].

Now he let the clone back up. Taketori burst forward without fear or hesitation. He launched a series of strikes and hammer fists, avoiding the clone’s weapons.
[iron Barrier re-learned].

Now it was back to the techniques he was practicing earlier. Iron Block relied more on his own strength. It was faster to execute. And again, being a Kaguya meant the lack of armor to absorb damage was really a no-go anyways.
[Iron Block re-learned.]

Same with the Flying Iron Strike. Taketori maintained the large distance it covered. He threw a vicious punch at the clone at the same time, avoiding the length of the longsword as he flew in.
[Flying Iron Strike relearned.]

Now for the Iron Slam and Disarm. He used everything he had learned previously. The Iron Clinch, the Suplex, all of it was showing back up here. Grabbing the clone he repeated the Iron Slam and Disarm technique he had to the first bone clone he summoned.
[Iron Slam and Disarm re-learned. Swift Foot training completed. King of the Iron Fist MASTERED.]

Taketori Kaguya Training (Post B)

Training using Coupons [30 coupons, with teacher provided. 10 from Thanksgiving, 10 more from Thanksgiving gifted by another, 10 from UHV in Tunnel mission arc]
Seven Sword Dance [Stage One through Six] [-6 post reduction, 1 from Rogue, 1 from Clan, 1 from Longsword (medium weapon) formless training, 3 from being taught by a teacher]
Thanks to his previous mission with Magnus, Taketori had access to a skilled teacher. The teacher deigned to teach him the Seven Swords Dance. Taketori started with the Hook. He used bone swords and spun around defensively.
[The Hook learned. 1/30 coupons. Stage One complete]
Next was sword rain. Taketori tossed up all his bone swords into the air. They rained down. It was also usable as a throw. The nature of the attack made it hard to follow with Doujutsu, not to mention one’s unenhanced eyes.
[Sword Rain learned. 2/30 coupons. Stage Two complete]
Taketori next unleashed two of his bone swords in an X. Using a third, he slammed into the first two. The attack would result in all of the blades attacking at enemy, slashing them multiple times.
[Bee Sting learned. 3/30 coupons.]
Now he was getting past the basics into using the seven swords. He was instructed on how to juggle while in combat. By mixing juggling with attacks, his opponent would have trouble reacting to it all.
[Seven Sword Dance learned. 4/30 coupons]
Taketori had lightning elemental chakra. He charged his blade with it, causing his bone sword to vibrate at high speeds. While it previously was as strong as metal, this allowed it to slice metal like a plasma torch. Not that he knew what a plasma torch was.
[Vibrating Sword learned. 5/30 coupons. Stage Three complete]
The next part was an interesting one. He’d need to learn how to channel lightning energy through his sword. Someone else’s. Using the principles of Vibrating Sword, he tossed a highly charged one up in the air. His teacher shot a lightning attack at Taketori and it was redirected upwards.
[Lightning Rod learned. 7/30 coupons. Stage Four complete]
Creating more bone swords, Taketori littered the area in huge amounts of them. He discarded and picked up swords as he moved through, getting a feel for utilizing extra weapons. He could easily discard swords and create diversions with the sheer number of them.
[Infinite Sword Dance learned. 10/30 coupons.]
According to his teacher, Taketori was nearing mastery of the style. For a change of pace, he was run through many focus exercises, such as playing multiple games of chess, shougi, and go at the same time. With that intense focus learned, he was able to execute an attack using all seven of his swords continuously at the same time. Even a Sharingan would have trouble reading it.
[Butterfly Float learned. 13/30 coupons.]
Now it was time for Thunder Dance. It was an unpredictable, continuous array of blows down on his opponent. He had charged his bone swords with Lightning chakra. He could do the same without it, but might as well learn the hard version first.
[Thunder Dance learned. 17/30 coupons. Stage Five complete.]
Now for the last technique in the style. Using the bone swords he had previous laid, Taketori charged them with energy. He then aimed them at a dummy provided. The swords all attracted to the dummy. It was a dangerous technique and combined with some of his techniques could be very fatal.
[Rain Dance learned. 23/30 coupons. Stage Six complete. Seven Swords Dance mastered.]
[-4 post reduction to all other Jutsus]
Taketori also wanted to learn some fuuinjutsu. He started with the basics. First was Funyu no Jutsu, the Enclosing Technique. He learned to put things in scrolls at a very basic level.
[Funyu no Jutsu E-rank trained. 24/30 coupons. Does not take up a jutsu slot]
Next was the opposite of Funyu no Jutsu. When something is sealed, it also has to be unsealed. Learning the technique, he undid the kunai the instructor had him seal in the first place.
[Kaifu no Jutsu E-rank trained. 25/30 coupons.]
The summoning technique was one Taketori was interested in. His teacher explained it to him and demonstrated how to do it. Taketori followed along superficially and did the chakra molding separately. He did not want to be suddenly transported quite yet.
[Kuchiyose no Jutsu, C-rank, learned. 26/30 coupons.]
[B-rank mission to be taught a jutsu completed]
Kunts de Fechtens (The Art of Longsword Fencing) [Stage Four to Stage Six]
[-11 post reduction. 6 from Tai class, 1 from Clan, 1 from Rogue, 2 from Relevant Training (Hard Physical and Longsword with European Cross guard), 1 from Kishitou Yoroi]

Stage Four
Taketori had learned a lot of grapples on the side. He had learned all the ones from the Kunts de Fechtens style and was feeling good. Learning about them, he was now able to break them himself without requiring extra effort.
[Brechen [ To Break ] learned. Stage Four complete.]
Stage Five
The next strike was a way to charge forward into an opponent’s strike with one’s own. Through leverage, Taketori would keep the enemy’s sword from threatening him. He could then shoulder check them and knock them down.
[Durchlauffen [ Running Through ] learned.]
Then it was learning what to do in a bind. This would allow him to strike into an opponent. Afterwards he was in a position to continue through with another, albeit weaker, assault.
[Durchwechseln [ Changing Through ] learned.]
This was another technique that built up on the previous concept of meeting the opponent and attacking. Instead here, he would not bind. Taketori would thrust through the attack instead, simultaneously defending against it while threatening his own.
[Absetzen [ Off-setting ] learned.]
Now it was a stagger. He knew how to attack into an opponent’s assault so the next step was to disadvantage them. He could also attack into projectiles and ninjutsus to redirect the attack. While it wasn’t possible to directly reverse it, he could send it elsewhere.
[Versetzen [ Displacement ] learned.]
Now Taketori had a lot of practice with the longsword. He was mastering the principles of leverage and pressure. With his mastery of sword interactions, he’d be able to overcome other equivalent physical techniques with his own longsword strikes.
[Zucken [ Tugging ] trained.]
Taketori had an opportunity to learn a technique from another school and incorporate it here. The sensei Magnus had introduced to him was an expert blade technique user. He proceeded to teach him a technique from the Madou Kishi style known as Banishing Blade. It was an attack that would knock the chakra out of an incoming assault. This would be very effective against Ninjutsu attacks. It could only be used once every now and then from the complexity but he was glad to incorporate it into his repertoire. He thanked his teacher as they split ways.
[Banishing Blade from Madou Kishi learned. 30/30 coupons used. Mutieren [ Mutating ] trained. Stage Five complete.]
Stage Six
It was time for him to advance to the next level of techniques. There was still a stance for him to learn. Taketori took the Halbschwert stance, one that was effective against armor.
[Halbschwert [ Half Swording ] learned.]
The next set of advanced techniques all focused on specific parts of the opponent to disable. This next technique, Eindringen, aimed for the foot. Disabling it would lead the opponent to lose any speed benefits until they could get it healed.
Taketori explored the different ways he could launch it. There was from normal fighting when he saw an opportunity. However there was also the possibility of performing it from a grapple. On top of that, his Kaguya powers allowed him much flexibility in a surprise attack at close range.
[Eindringen [ To Penetrate ] learned.]
While Eindringen focused on nullifying speed, Zerstoren focused on nullifying strength. The focus of the technique was against the shoulder. By disabling the shoulder, the opponent would lose strength to their blows.
As with Eindringen, it was possible to perform in a grapple. Taketori would put his palm to the pommel of his sword for the attack. It was strong enough to pierce through armor.
[Zerstoren [ To Destroy ] learned.]
The blade of his longsword wasn’t the only weapon it possessed. The pommel too could be used like a longsword. This was especially effective against armored foes.
Taketori assumed the Halbschwert stance he had learned earlier. Holding the bone sword by the blade, he would swing it like a warhammer. A successful strike would cause ringing in their head and blur an enemy’s vision, making them lose Reflex.
[Mordhau [ Murder Strike ] learned.]
Finally, the last focus was against an opponent’s fortitude, their ability to withstand attacks. Invalidating such would force an opponent to leave the battlefield lest they lose their life. This strike aims at the gut of an opponent.
Taketori practiced the Entkraften. He learned where armor was weak or nonexistent and how to wrench the blade to ruin an opponent. For an unarmored one, they would be forced to parry. They would suffer until their wounds were tended to.
[Entkraften [ To Enfeeble ] learned.]
Taketori had shown a real mastery of this style. His level of technical ability with the longsword now allowed him to wield it with one hand. He also felt himself grow stronger as he took into account all the other styles he had mastered.
[Meisterschaft [ Mastery ] trained.]

Shigure Souen: A Legacy of Greatness and Evolution [Stage One through Six]
[-3 post reduction. 1 from Clan, 1 from Rogue, 1 from Formless training]
Stage One
Taketori began training in a new style. For the basics, he started with feinting. If he saw an opening, it put him in position to dash in after the feint.
[Axle of Rain learned.]
He focused his bone-blade and swing it upwards. There was a burst of elemental might when he did. It sparked brilliantly with electricity. However, it wasn’t good for more than a distraction.
[Rolling Rain learned.]
In the same vein, there was a diversionary tactic next. Raising his sword above his head, Taketori swung it downwards. He externalized a “mist” of fire, stirring up a mist of embers up to 1.5 meters across.
[Misting Rain learned. Stage One complete.]
Stage Two
Last Minute Rain was a technique developed for surprise. It had a counterpart in Sobagai Debai Sentou so Taketori was adept at it. Dropping his sword, instead of a smaller one now, he aimed and kicked it accurately.
[Last Minute Rain learned.]
Next he created a clone. This technique was all about timing. By synchronizing his breathing with that of his clone, he was able to detect when he was about to be attacked. He could then evade it. This could not be used indefinitely however.
[May Wind, October Rain learned. Stage Two complete.]
Stage Three
Taketori swung his sword diagonally. Mid swing, he dropped it. With his other hand, he snatched it up. The first swing was weakened by stopping halfway. The second swing, however, was stronger. It possessed an element of surprise as well.
[Summer Rain learned.]
For this technique, he had to hold his sword differently. He reversed his grip on it, running the blade parallel to his forearm. Focusing his chakra into the blade, he whirled it quickly. A shield of fire chakra was formed to block incoming attacks. Focusing a different kind of chakra, he made lightning afterwards. He practiced the whirl a few times. If he did it too slowly the shield was incomplete. If it was too fast he had no control over the shape. He took some time to perfect it. After all, it would be a strong defense into physical attacks.
[Splashing Rain learned.]
There was a lot more chakra exertion to come. Taketori took some time to train in it. He would need to grow accustomed to exerting even more chakra now. He began practicing controlled bursts of chakra from various body parts. He started with his limbs first. Then throughout his body. Like expanding his stomach, all this chakra bursting made his chakra network flow better. It created more space and strengthened Taketori.
[Blessed Rain learned. +35 Chakra (Bloodline perk: +35 Stamina). Stage Three complete]
Stage Four
Training in Blessed Rain was meant to help out these next portions. There was a lot of chakra usage about to happen. In fact, looking forward, every technique was Complex.
Now Taketori coated his feet in chakra. His speed was boosted as a result. Moving around, he became a blur to the naked eye.
That was only the first portion of the technique. Next, he began practicing the misting of previous techniques. He visualized and then externalized his chakra.
First he chose lightning mist, creating a thundercloud-like mist effect. Sparks lit up the mist. Next was the fire mist.
It looked as though embers were dashing throughout it, as though from a bonfire. The speed and obscure form would combine together. Now he would do both at once.
He applied more chakra to his feet. As he began moving, he blurred again. A mist of sparks appeared around him as he did so. His form was obscured behind it.
[Innocent Rain learned.]
Now he knew how this style allowed for speed. Which meant next was applying the speed in different ways. He began focusing his chakra for movement.
Then he burst into action. The chakra was enhancing his speed moderately. He plotted an approach vector to some imaginary target.
Upon closing the distance, he thrusted his bone sword. It was hard to do at first. He redid it a few times to get the timing right for when to thrust.
It was to maximize the momentum of his speed burst. As he got better at controlling the speed, he noticed there was an aura around him. The more he practiced, the more defined the aura became.
For a bit, he stopped focusing on the sword part. It was better to break things down into individual parts and master them separately before rejoining them. As he focused on speed, he noticed the aura became more and more defined as fire.
Finally, perfecting the speed, he put it together with the attack. Instead of an imaginary target he set up a piece of wood. He performed the Fiendish Speed Rain, an aura of fire around him, and pierced it.
[Fiendish Speed Rain learned.]
Time for some more training. There was a way to gain more insight into an area. This was important for Taketori.
After all, he was a Rogue. The world was a hostile place. The villages treated them as disposable tools and could easily threaten to send hunter-nins or black ops if it felt like they were a threat.
So Taketori began extending himself into the atmosphere, in a sense. He was externalizing his chakra in a big way. For a start, he simply released an enormous amount of it.
From there, he began fine-tuning it. This was not an active technique. It was something that, if practiced correctly, he would do subconsciously.
He cut and cut the amount of chakra he was emitting until it was not even a strain on his system. He could sense a general ambience around him. And in that ambience, hostile intent would be felt like a hot knife. Though he’d be unable to tell from exactly where it was coming from.
[Insight Rain trained. Stage Four complete.]
Stage Five
Stage Four was a difficult stage. It was only going to get tougher from here one out. The techniques were getting more advanced too.
Taketori created some clones for the next part. It was too complicated to practice without a partner. Yet it was also too dangerous to practice on an actual person.
He dashed forward as one of his clones dashed forward. He swung his blade about himself. This forced his clone to collide with the blade for greater damage.
At least that was the idea. The first execution was somewhat sloppy. Weapon techniques were harder to train for Taketori than Taijutsu was.
As always, he took it in steps. First was the matching dash. He spent some time just watching his clone dash forward and mirroring it before backing off.
Next was moving and swinging the sword. The timing on that was hard to perfect. It wasn’t too difficult to do.
Yet Taketori knew, from intuition more than anything else, he could do better. If he swung at a certain point, it’d be more powerful than if he did it early or late.
Finally he put it all together. As with all of Shigure Souen, inserting elemental chakra was a big part. Using Katon, he dashed when his clone dashed and swung about a sword sheathed in flame.
[Pelting Rain learned.]
Next up was Torrential Dance. It was a technique that wasn’t too involved. Taketori should, by the end of training, be able to make a screen-like pillar of elemental chakra.
This did not sound difficult. The technique was fairly high up on the Shigure Souen list however so it was likely to have more challenges to it. First off was coating his bone sword in chakra.
Taketori coated his sword in chakra. He began swinging it upwards. He was trying to raise a pillar out.
The first few swings were ineffective. He was struggling with transferring chakra from the sword to making a pillar. There was really no way to do it than to do it a lot.
Repeating the swings, he focused on chakra control. Slowly, he could feel a finer control over it. He started peeling chakra off his sword when he swung.
Small pillars were being created when he did so. He needed more power in his sheath. So another part of training was miniaturization of the chakra.
He condensed and focused the chakra. Now when he swung, it created a large pillar of chakra. It even had some reflective properties about it.
Now he would put the finishing touches on it. First he practiced with his fire element, creating a pillar of fire. Afterwards a pillar of lightning. The pillar always reflected where Taketori was.
[Torrential Dance learned.]
There was a lot of focus on chakra coatings in this stage. He had more or less gotten used to doing it now. That was good as Flame Spin Rain required more chakra coating.
He next coated his blade in fire elemental chakra. He began to spin the blade clockwise. An elemental twister was created.
Taketori was a man who did things to completion. And thus, he stopped spinning it clockwise. Then he spun it counter-clockwise to see if there was any difference.
There really wasn’t. This technique was meant to intercept ninjutsu. However, it wasn’t strong at that.
Taketori had more powerful anti-Ninjutsu techniques in his arsenal. However, if the element of the twister matched what it was blocking, it could then counter-attack. That was taking advantage of how elemental chakra interacted.
Taketori tried out his lightning version too. The flame twister was cool and powerful but he might as well see his other element. The lightning twister shot out of his spinning blade.
The range of Flame Spin Rain wasn’t great, in his opinion. With the A-rank he was training it in, it was only going out five meters. Most ninjutsu users weren’t going to allow him that close.
Still, it was an intensive technique to learn. Adding it to his repertoire was good. And it could come in handy sometime.
[Flame Spin Rain learned. Stage Five completed]
Stage Six
Duplicate Rain built up on the properties of Torrential Rain. Taketori admitted, he had underestimated the difficulty of performing Torrential Rain. This time he’d be sure to take it slowly.
While it was fundamentally similar, it was still a whole new technique. He began by creating the chakra sheath. It was elementally charged with lightning for a start.
Taketori felt he could work Raiton chakra more easily. Perhaps this was due to his experience with it. Seven Sword Dance had the Vibrating Blade Technique that used lightning chakra.
Additionally, he had training with the Kaiser Armor. Kaiser Armor originated as a Lightning Armor technique. He preferred it over Katon for training.
He swung the blade upwards. He peeled off the chakra to materialize it. It should be large and possess the same reflective quality of Torrential Rain.
Success! It certainly was reflective. It sparkled and danced with lightning too. Then Taketori frowned in revelation.
This… he had just performed Torrential rain instead of Duplicate Rain didn’t he. He sighed and tried using Katon element this time. While he preferred working with Raiton, Katon was easier to visualize.
After all, the shape of fire could be molded. A wave of fire was easier to picture than a wave of lightning. Flame covered his bone sword as he prepared another swing.
This time, he actively avoided performing Torrential Rain. He focused a lot to make sure to emphasize the difference. Namely, this should create a great wave rather than a pillar.
This time, a wave of reflective fire appeared. Taketori reflected on it, of course. He could use it as cover and also confuse opponents by appearing as though there were two of him.
[Duplicate Rain learned.]
Another technique utilizing chakra coating. Taketori was a little peeved that he still wasn’t great at learning it. If it wasn’t for his patience he’d have never been able to perform this style.
He didn’t feel as though he was getting better at them anyways. And with the techniques becoming more advanced, they were actually harder. Well, this next dance was Seasonal Dance.
The idea behind it was to create a defensive dome. The dome would last for a period of time, defending Taketori. The element of the chakra coating would determine the dome’s element.
Looking at his bone sword, he tried to visualize the coating this technique needed. Unlike Duplicate Rain, this was completely different. There was no basis for him to build on in Shigure Souen.
Which meant starting from the basics. He was tempted to just start stabbing the ground. However, that wouldn’t accomplish anything.
The important start was, again, chakra control. He stabbed into the ground once. He focused on trying to get the chakra he left behind to rise out.
It slowly teased out of the ground and rose in a line. A fantastic start. Taketori then stabbed into the ground a second time.
Another line rose from the ground. He focused hard on both of them. If he could get them to combine, he knew he was on the right track.
When the two lines connected and filled in the rest with chakra, Taketori cheered. Now it was a matter of getting the right number of stabs for a dome. And he needed to space them correctly, of course.
Dismissing the pane of chakra, he started anew. Covering his bone blade with Raiton, he stabbed the ground five times around himself. A dome of lightning surged around him. Success!
[Seasonal Dance learned.]
Now it was time for the final training of Shigure Souen. He had to practice chakra control even more so. His difficulty with Seasonal Dance emphasized the point.
By increasing his chakra flow, he would be more adept at performing techniques. It was like working out his chakra network. He was looking forward to his chakra gains.
This training was going to be intensive. He had done nothing like it. No amount of Rogue intuition, natural clan affinity, or previous practice was helping.
He looked to Blessed Rain as a basis. He began practicing controlled bursts of chakra from various body parts. He started with his limbs first.
Then he expanded throughout his body. He burst it from his torso, his thighs, his abs. After doing Blessed Rain training already, his body was used to it.
Similar to an adrenaline junky, Taketori was feeling like a chakra junky. His tolerance to this training was already high. He had plateau’d.
To see improvements then, he’d need to step it up. He needed to get really down and dirty with the details. He’d start big.
A full body burst of chakra was called for next. The energy that exuded from him flashed through the air. It was hot and dry, with the dryness causing static discharge like wool.
Those were expressions of his chakra element. Then he began the usual and narrowed it down region by region. This time he’d start with his torso.
However, he kept the amount of chakra bursting outwards the same. So a full body burst of chakra was now limited to his torso. He felt his chakra network flex at this.
Good, there was still a way to improve. This time, Taketori focused on his left arm. Using the same principle, he caused a huge amount of chakra to burst from it.
His chakra network definitely felt that. Afterwards he began systematically going through each part of his body. He repeated the same thing, even going so far as down to individual fingers.
That had seriously burned. The lingering pain afterwards made him fearful he had ruined himself. He was nearly out of chakra too now and could not tell how effective the training was. However, when he rested and refilled after his exhaustion, he’d find his chakra network had grown again.

Taketori Kaguya Training (Post C)

Nigirikobushi no Shintou (Impact of the Clenched Fist) [Stage One through Six]

--- 8 post reduction in learning, 6 from Tai spec at B-rank, 1 from being a Kaguya, 1 from being a Rogue

Taketori started with the baic training for Nigirkobushi no Shintou.
He picked one of his bone pillars and began pounding away at it.
Analyzing the feedback he received as he focused on how his punches felt, he became skilled at recognizing how to deal with recoil.
Learned: Shindoutaisei [ Impact Resistance ]
Rank: E :: Training

He applied an excellent form before his next strike as he hit his normally hardened bones with a Sokyaku Ouda.
Taketori was surprised at the result. The usage and technique actually made it feel as thouh the bone pillar was made of normal bone.
He filed this technique away in his mind, it would devastate a careless Kaguya.
Sokyaku Ouda [ Rejection Strike ]

Next up he tried out the Hanchou [ Recoil ] technique. First creating a clone, Taketori prepared to attack it.
He struck the clone lightly, sending him flying back two meters with the hit. The technique would be disruptive for any defense against it.
Hanchou [ Recoil ]
Rank: X :: Simple
Afterwards, he took another swing at himself. When the clone dodged out of the way, Taketori began to spin to redirect the force of his blow.
He chose a nearby pillar and hit it quickly by pivoting to it, preserving the force of the blow and even increasing the speed he hit it.
Jiten Atemi [ Spinning Blow ]
Rank: X :: Simple
Stage Two clear

Taketori began to focus and meditate. He cleared his Chakra pathways and opened up his awareness to the world around him.
He became innately aware that the clone was observing him. He walked one meter away and lost the feeling.
He walked back in range and regained it. Weird.
Shouten [ Focal Point ]
Rank: C :: Training

Taketori then walked up and touched the clone, injecting him with some of his Chakra.
This would help some of his other techniques, though it would not give him any locational information.
It seemed like an odd technique to Taketori but was an important step to learn for future lessons.
Hyouji [ Marking ]
Rank: X :: Spiritual

To test out whether the Marking was successful, a clone Body Flickered away as Taketori began an attack.
He activated the Drift and found himself automatically brought to the clone's location within the same range he was previously.
It was instinctual and a great way to stay on top of an enemy.
Hyouryuu [ Drift ]
Rank: X :: Complex

Taketori hit the ground, causing fissures to appear in a 2 meter radius of imact.
The fissures were large. He repeated it on the bone spars, creating holes within half a meter of impact.
It could be useful for creating holes in an armored defense.
Hibiware [ Fissure ]
Rank: X :: Simple
Stage Three clear

Taketori the practiced a series of three sharp blows on a pillar.
Should they all land against an unarmored opponent, they would seriously hamper that opponent's stamina recovery until they were treated.
This would be an inconvenience to anyone who walked away from a fight with Taketori.

Taketori considered its uses. It would be a pain for after the fight, true, but it would also discourage a cowardly opponent from running away to recover.
Even if they did, Taketori would out-recover his stamina over theirs.
He practiced it again on the pillar, knowing full well it'd be too dangerous to practice on another person.
Renzoku Mouda [ Repeated Heavy Blows ]
Rank: X :: Complex

Taketori infused a punch with Chakra and practiced it on a pillar. The pillars were actually fantastic training props that he appreciated more and more.
The punch would knock the chakra out of a prepared technique from an opponent.
He was not sure the full uses of that but it would probably come in handy.

Instinct informed Taketori that combining it with Marking would further enhance its power.
Taketori did some theorycrafting and could see that it would indeed make it more difficult for an opponent to cast Ninjutsu and Genjutsu when dealing with this punch.
Unfortunately the interrupting Chakra would not penetrate through medium or heavy armor.
Kenka no Mouda [ Heavy Blows of the Brawl ]
Rank: X :: Complex
Stage Four clear

Taketori feigned sleep until he recovered all his stamina and chakra.

When he awoke, he decided he’d need to catch up on some of his other Taijutsu styles. Impact of the Clenched Fist would be a good start. The next punch was a ranged one, in a manner of speaking. He infused his fist with chakra. He punched forward, sending the chakra off his fist. The chakra flew off in an invisible blast of force. The wave of energy flew straight, but it could also be tracked onto a Marked target. A direct hit with his fist would do less damage than the chakra wave. He marked Atsuko next. Now he aimed away from Atsuko with the punch. The chakra wave flew at him anyways thanks to the mark.
[Nigirikobushi no Shintou – Heavy Blows of the Aura (Stage Five) learned in 3 posts. -8 post reduction]

The next punch he was working on would have little force behind it. Its intention was, rather, to antagonize the opponent. It was still used with chakra infused into the fist. He and Atsuko re-engaged in a sparring stance. Atsuko was powering up with various techniques and ninjutsu. When he saw an opening, Taketori aimed the Konsen punch. The punch landed and it had an immediate effect. The antagonizing punch seemed to really annoy him, breaking his focuses. Atsuko’s strength, speed, reflex, and fortitude bonuses all seemed to disappear. On top of that, his ninjutsu got worse. This technique could have many uses. It was difficult to land, however if it did land it would ruin a lot of people. Especially those with the Eight Gates. They would not be able to keep their focus on their gates, Taketori bet.
[Nigirikobushi no Shintou – Free-for-All (Stage Five) learned in 3 posts]
Now for Will-to-Fight. Fortunately for Atsuko, this was more of a cooperative ability. Having already Marked him, Taketori would try to share bonuses to Taijutsu and Bukijutsu. It was not necessarily an easy technique to understand. They had to boost their Will-to-Fight, essentially. It could even be used against an opponent during a fight to sort of bring equality to it. Taketori felt himself and Atsuko share the same bonuses to Taijutsu and Bukijutsu. Perhaps this would help with training as well. He undid it and then started a sparring session. It was somewhat uneven. Taketori was definitely the stronger Taijutsu combatant between the two. He then activated Will-to-Fight. Sharing the same bonuses, the fight became more even.
[Nigirikobushi no Shintou – Will to Fight (Stage Five) learned in 3 posts]

Now it was time to understand the philosophy of style. Here was a strike that would deny armor, so to speak. It dealt less damage on a hit, true. The crux of the hit, however, was in destroying armor. It would destroy any armor on a direct hit and reduced armor reinforcement techniques. He practiced it on his clone. Some of the armor pieces he had gathered previously were destroyed. He wanted to test the levels of damage required for it. On top of that, he also knew armor-reinforcement techniques. With his training in Kishitou Yoroi, he could gauge its effectiveness against those types. The technique also evolved with his mark. When he marked the clone, it penetrated through the techniques to damage armor too. This was effective against some of the techniques he knew.
[ Zenmenhitei [ Complete Denial ] learned ]
Taketori was beginning to feel pumped. He had been in the hospital for so long. Now that he was training again, he felt good. His body was simply pulsing with adrenaline. It was almost a kind of hunger. He felt really great. As such, he used his motivation and excitement to lead into his next technique. Sousoushin, a technique that drew from fighting spirit. He started pumping himself up to new heights. Chakra was flooding his muscles, making him feel stronger and tougher. Each technique he performed just felt that much crisper, as though it was unstoppable. It was a sort of joy. And with his Mark ability, it was a joy he could share with opponents. Yes, it was technique that could also empower an enemy. That was the exuberance of the fighting spirit it output, raising both combatants to another level. Though even in a grudge match he could simply not Mark his opponent.
[ Sousoushin [ Belligerence ] learned ]

Sobagai Deba Sentou [Stage Six]
[-2 post training reduction]
Now he continued training with daggers. He created some more out of bone. With his new chakra and stamina pool he felt confident he could do the training all in one go.
Sobagai Deba Sentou was a very personal style. It involved being close to the opponent and interacting with them. Obviously, as it was one that used knives and daggers to great effect.
As such, Taketori got some more clones out. While he did not end up needing a lot for Shigure Souen, that would not be the case here. This style relied a lot on reacting to his enemies.
First Taketori tried to position himself atop his clone’s shoulders. This was somewhat difficult for him. He already disliked this technique.
He thought it was beneath him to climb on top someone like so. Perhaps it would be useful for falling onto someone. Nevertheless, he persisted.
Like he had done with the Kaguya technique involving the dead, it was simply better to have it in his arsenal. A technique he knew that he never used was better than a technique he needed that he never learned. So he begrudgingly continued.
He leaped atop the clone. The clone wasn’t trying to dodge or anything to make this part easy. He then wrapped his legs around the clone.
From this position he had many options. Twisting his leg could snap the neck of his clone. He could even stab the clone’s head with a knife.
The clone would have trouble escaping too. Someone weaker than Taketori wouldn’t even be able to Substitute out. Taketori snapped the clone’s neck, poofing it in smoke.
Now he practiced on another clone. Rather than standing still, this one was active. After some struggle, he saw an opening, performed Shoulder Height, and snapped the clone’s neck.
[Offensive Technique: Shoulder Height learned.]
Now for another advanced level offensive technique. This one was Simple as well. It relied more on skill and ability than chakra control.
Taketori preferred it that way. There was no denying chakra techniques were wonderfully useful. Yet still, something about a show of pure technique appealed to him more.
The name of the next one was Cutting and Crumbling. Unsurprisingly given that it was a knife style. There was always going to be a lot of cutting involved.
First was keeping a knife close to his wrist. It would better hide the blade that way. Though Taketori wondered if it was moot for him.
While other ninjas needed to conceal their weapons, Taketori did not. He was of the Kaguya clan. His weapons were entirely inside his body.
This was one of the reasons he was drawn to the style. He had many options for it. He could utilize a kunai or utilize his bones, it didn’t really matter.
With his bones he was practically unsearchable. One would have to realize he was a Kaguya first. Of course, due to his pride he’d often just announce it.
For the sake of practice, he’d use both styles. First he’d practice with an actual kunai hidden by his wrist. Next he’d move forward.
Closing the distance to an imaginary enemy, he delivered two powerful blows to their side. Taketori worked on making sure the blows were stronger.
Next Taketori repeated it with a bone knife. He enhanced the stabs this time, making them sharper and faster. He preferred the bones over the blade.
[Offensive Technique: Cutting and Crumbling learned.]
Afterwards was a disrupting technique. These techniques did require chakra to use. As such, they were a bit harder to train.
Taketori did some warming up first. While his chakra pool had truly blossomed from training, it was good to limber it up. He did some exercises on fine control.
He wrapped up his warm ups and took a look at the technique. He should at least figure out the basic structure for his chakra. It seemed it built off of a previous technique, [ Severe Acupuncture ].
That technique involved making his knife blurry. Then he’d strike an opponent’s limb with the handle. It sent a powerful chakra shock into the target’s limb.
When used on a limb, that limb was unusable until a medic looked at it. It was a dangerous disable. And this was a stronger version of it?
Ah it did different things here. While that technique was a big disruption to one limb, and even more to the head, this had a different function. It tampered with the pathways of the body.
Both physical and spiritual pathways. It’d cause utter confusion in an opponent. A command to move their hand could result in them kicking their leg or even casting a jutsu.
A strong opponent could likely get used to it. However, then afterwards they still needed to readjust. When the pathways switched back they would need to as well.
It was powerful into instinctual enemies. Beasts as well would struggle to deal with it. A thinking enemy might be able to get around it.
If he was a medical ninja then he’d have extra knowledge of the body. That would allow the technique to last longer. Taketori wasn’t though, nothing of the sort.
So he practiced. As before, he blurred a kunai first. The style was intended to be used with those anyways. Afterwards, he blurred his bone knife. This would be his preferred usage of it. He practiced the stab and the chakra disruption.
[Disrupting Technique: False Signals learned.]
Now was time for more training. He had a lot of it left to do with this style. First up, he’d try to learn how to catch incoming projectiles.
He made a series of clones. These would be his firing squad, in a sense. It was going to require sharp reflexes.
He’d first start with his reflexes. They were feeling pretty good actually. First, to get accustomed to projectiles.
He had his clones start with all sorts. They ranged from kunai, shuriken, senbon, and even Drilling Finger Bullets. Taketori simply observed them at first.
They weren’t aimed at him yet. These were purposefully missing him. The clones were narrowing their firing range.
Now they were aiming to just miss Taketori. The firing cone narrowed as he looked on. The next step was clear.
Taketori did feel a little weird. He could just tank it really. He created a skin of bone underneath him.
Still, training was training. As always, it could come in handy at some point. And so he began trying to catch the incoming projectiles.
His hands blurred into motion. After all, he was still competing with a whole series of clones. Some shots glanced off his hardened bone-skin.
After a while, he got used to it. He could catch just about every incoming attack. And it took less energy to catch them than it did to evade or defend against them.
[Defensive Style: Plucking Roses trained.]
Finally, he was at the last training. This was related to the previous stepping training. He was to be absolutely silent now.
He decided he’d leave this wooded hill. He’d practice on his way to Giman and back. Going through the trees was a good first start.
He moved carefully, sure to avoid any branches. His other passives were also active here. He could detect any hostile intent in the area if there was any.
Moving silently was impressive for a large man like him. Yet his step was light and careful. Not even twigs were snapping when he passed over.
As he gained confidence, he moved faster. Even being silent he kept up a decent pace. He was comfortable moving through the forest.
Now for the city itself. The buildings and the crowds provided their own kind of cover. He did not have to be as careful here to make no noise.
He still didn’t make any noise, he found. And even if he had, it all melded into the background. He was careful to follow the beat of the crowd.
Surprisingly, a large man like him didn’t stand out. This was Giman after all. While he was still relatively unknown, people knew to avoid him from his aura.
He walked around the alleys and pathways. He didn’t want a reputation so he practiced on animals instead. He snuck up on birds, cats, and all sorts of critters.
On the way back he noticed how much faster he was. His muscles were used to stepping lightly now as they better supported his weight. Before he knew it, he returned to the Den of Loyalty having completed his final training.
[Offensive Style: Mistborn Stepping trained. Sobagai Deba Sentou mastered completed.]
Implant: Byakugan Training [Awoken Stage One]
Now that he was finished there, he had to cover his implant. It was going to be a slow process. He had kept the new eyes under cover for a long time.
First he undid the wraps. Blinking, his colorless implants took in the light. It was a strange sensation.
He saw the world in different shades and angles now. Taketori spent a few moments getting used to it first. He’d begin with some accuracy training.
He knew he was accurate already. So then he tried it by closing his original eyes. His eyes were on his forehead and the center of his chest.
This gave him a different set of depth perception that was really difficult to initially gauge. After a few miss throws, he eventually got to the accuracy he wanted. Then he tried again with all four eyes.
There was still a normalization period. First couple of attempts were awful. However, he soon found it was easier to use four eyes.
Then he began channeling chakra. He pumped it into those new implants of his. Like how the Cursed Seal called out to his DNA, these eyes called out to his chakra network.
He didn’t know how to activate them normally. So he brute forced it. All of a sudden his view became radial third person.
With his normal eyes he could still see, but he was also looking in third person. There was a blind spot… He’d remember it, in case he ever came up against other Hyuugas.
He turned off the implant. Activating it was incredibly tiring. As was sustaining it. So he activated it again. And again. He was a Good Host so it wasn’t as bad for him, but he definitely needed to become a better one. After enough attempts, he could do so as though it was second nature. He’d then tire himself out to find out his limits of usage. Ontop of the activation cost, he had to pay extra to see with the eyes. Yet they were only half as effective.
[Byakugan Awoken Stage One trained in 10 posts.]
Custom Training: Dance of the Jabillo [A-rank]
Now Taketori was going to work on one of his customs. He enjoyed the ability of Dance of the Seedling Fern to attack from below. So what if he combo’d it?
By creating an attack from above, it’d force the opponent into a hard situation. On top of that, Dance of the Jabillo synergized with his Seven Sword Dance style. What is a Jabillo, you ask?
A jabillo is a tree with exploding seeds. It disperses its spiny seeds with explosive force strong enough to seriously maim or kill a man. With the same principle, Taketori gathered up a ball of condensed bone. Throwing it up into the air, the sphere expanded in a massive way and then erupted, raining down bone spikes in a large area. With his Cursed Seal it’d be even stronger.
[Dance of the Jabillo learned.]

Implant: Byakugan Training (Awoken Stage Two)
After resting up and rejuvenating, Taketori was ready to tackle a final day of training. His Byakugan transplants were fantastic. The vision they granted him was amazing.
Yet he hated this feeling of incompleteness. He could feel that his eyes weren’t as effective as they could be. There was simply not enough Hyuuga DNA inside him.
So he’d allow a little more to leak in from the transplant. It wasn’t an easy process. He’d have to tease out the invasive properties of the eyes.
Essentially, he’d replace some of his body’s cells with the transplant instead. Most people could tell you, working out involved tearing then repairing muscles. He was going to use that principle.
Instead of repairing it with Kaguya DNA, he’d let the Hyuuga one do it. This was not easy by any stretch of the imagination. He was not a medical ninja after all, it was going to be good old trial and era for Taketori.
Now he knew that ninja with chakra were a different beast too. It wouldn’t do to just physical achieve it. He needed to allow in some of the chakra from the transplant as well.
This meant giving it more freedom to his chakra network. Doing so could be unnerving for many. However, Taketori had already connected a Cursed Seal to his.
Hell, he even went to the brink of death to allow that Cursed Seal greater corrosion. A little Hyuuga DNA wasn’t going to hurt him. Even if he had no idea who or what Hyuuga it came from.
As such, the exhaustive implants training was not a worry for him. He would master this. Even by brute force, if that was required of him.
Thus, Taketori began blasting his chakra networks. His body felt like it was on fire. He focused it in on his forehead and his chest.
His training with Shigure Souen helped here. For that style, chakra control was important. He had emptied out and burst forth chakra nonstop with that.
He did the same here, focusing on his implants. He inadvertently activated them as well. This used up even more chakra, almost searing it.
He started panting now. He’d allow the implants to regenerate the chakra there. This would also give an in for the DNA.
Taketori thought of ways he could allow the DNA in. Then it came to him, something that seemed rather obvious. Of course, abusing the Kaguya healing mechanic.
When a Kaguya pulled out bones from within their body, it would obviously damage the skin and muscles on their way out. But they were able to readily repair them. This was how they could survive pulling out their literal spines.
So, he Taketori adjusted his frame. He pulled out some bones from the immediate vicinity of the implants. Then when they began healing, he could feel the implant contribute more genetic material.
He actively encouraged it actually. While it was an automatic process, he held back some of it. So as Kaguya material was slower to rush in, Hyuuga genes took their place a little bit.
This rebalanced his genetic materials. It was still a foreign implant but it allowed him greater control. He deactivated his Byakugan.
He’d reactivate it later. This time, he observed how much easier it was. It had no activation cost, which was great progress!
Still, the extra DNA had its own effects. It was true, the heightened amount allowed him to avoid an activation cost. However, he had a larger sustain cost.
Now that he had completed the DNA activation, he could choose which one to use with careful chakra control. He’d try to expand his own body as well. In that way his training would be even more effective.

Bloodline Training: Dance of the Inspirational Clone
[13 posts to learn, -1 reduction from Rogue.]
Now this was one of the harder Kaguya techs. Most of the clan’s abilities involved their bones right? The best way to use their bones was externally.
This was a different sort of technique. It did involve bones… Just, it involved all of them.
Taketori was expected to externalize his own skeleton. Yes, it was as insane as that sounded. A lot of the other techniques were building up to it.
For example, Dance of the Clematis involved removing one’s spine. A body obviously could not survive without a spine. So what they did was a sort of chakra placeholder followed by rapid regeneration.
This technique, the Dance of the Inspirational Clone, was taking that to the next peak. How could a body survive with no bones? Even for a split second, it sounded insane.
Not to mention he’d need to be careful about removing the bones. His organs were a thing after all. Odds were he’d have to either make the bones or make himself less material.
Failing that he’d need to shift his organs correctly. This was fairly terrifying. Most Kaguya techniques involved ripping the bone out and allowing the chakra in their wake to heal it.
Well, perhaps brute force was one way forward. He’d try a bit at a time. Taketori infused his entire skeleton with chakra.
From there, he tried different ways of getting bones out. He’d start with an arm first. He forcefully ripped the bones out and- HOLY SPIRITS OF THE FOREST THAT HURT.
Searing pain spread through him and he hurriedly replaced it. Okay, he’d need to coat some chakra. That way it’d leave easier without tearing everything. Kind of like chakra lube, if you will.
Alright that was better. And with careful control he kept his muscles and such from being torn apart. With that he had one arm out.
He repeated this process with his other arm. Followed by both his legs. Now his head and torso was the most difficult challenge.
If he messed up his head his brain would be destroyed. But from all his training, Taketori had careful control of his chakra now. With a quick step, he physically moved himself one way and his skeleton the other. This caused a split and his bones rapidly regenerated as his chakra held up his internal structure. Success!

This was his first time visiting their new hideout and he had to say he was rather impressed. He made sure that they were a decent distance away from the den itself, to avoid blowing it up, and paid note to the area around them. To her question he'd give a note before he'd remove his over coat, folding it carefully and setting it aside. After this he took off his shirt as well, stretching his muscles a bit in preparation for the fight. Without the cloak and shirt it was easier to tell he wasn't just built for ninjutsu, as well as a few tattoos on his body. On his back a tiger rested underneath a large tree, a detailed design that covered most of his shoulder blade. Once his quick stretches were done he'd face her again and take a fighting stance. "Better to keep those off, rather not have to go buy new clothes just because I use a style or two" Atsuko said with a smile. Kaiser fist was ESPECIALLY bad for blowing your clothes off your body.

Parvati took the communicator and looked at it, just screaming across the room or area seemed to work for her in the past... working this little piece of technology completely eluded her. She placed off the the side and decided to take a small walk through the halls of the Den of Loyality. Parvati was always a little curious of her surroundings and decided to make sure that she knew this place inside and out. Walking through a set of doors, she found herself outside and in the company of a massive tree. She walked and sat at the base of the tree and looked around, everything was happening so fast and she just wanted to take a minute to relax. The tree was surrounded by dense wilderness; various flora and fauna kept her attention.

“Busy day... am I right?! “ She laughed and realized that she was talking to a tree, though she was a social girl... she enjoyed her solitude. She felt herself slip into a light sleep... with the tree as her backing... she was more comfortable then she had been in an extremely long time.

Xifeng would watch Atsuko as he removed his clothing that would impair him in the fight. His worry about dirtying his clothing was cute. If he had only known just who he was fighting. She chuckled to herself before smirking at the black haired man. ”I’ll try not to get that cute coat of yours too dirty.” Her eyes scanned over the tattoos on his body, growing curious about the meanings. That would be for a later date sadly, as Xi tore her eyes away from his body.

                                                                                  ”Let’s have a good match.”

After getting into stance, Xifeng brought both hands together before performing a series of hand seals. Her cheeks would subtlety puff out as her mouth filled with watery tasting ink. Infusing that ink with chakra, she would swish the contents of her mouth for a while before raising her head spitting out the ink.

A shower of small golden pellets would fall ground her head as they splattered across the area surrounding the two. It would continue for a while until most of the ground now was stained a golden color. The watered down ink would be the exact opposite effect of the rest of her blends. Instead of becoming sticky, this blend would be slippery to the touch, though it’s effects were somewhat lessened by her fountain spit inking method. Xi would unsheathed her sword and flash a grin to her opponent. ”Watch your step.” The woman would then use the ink to glide forward towards Atsuko, raising her blade to stroke him across the chest.
