A'ye did cough though, his body shaking with the force behind it. The movements were a bit too much despite how slow and careful the pair had been, and his time on the floor had allowed him to accumulate a bit of gunk in his lungs he hadn't noticed. The coughing was rough, painful, and A'ye attempted to push Sa'do away in an effort not to cough on him or cause more problems. The flailing backfired gloriously as his foot once more caught the blanket he should have lifted, and he found himself going down.
This time, however, someone was going with him and in this case it happened to be a very unfortunate bronzerider who'd only been trying to do the right thing. The smaller greenrider collapsed atop him like a dead sack, and his body trembled as the last of the coughs escaped his lips. This was not what he wanted this was not his beautiful infirmary cot or the bed in his personal weyr.
This was a nightmare and he really, really wanted to wake up.

"......" If he'd had the strength (and ability) to do so, A'ye would have teleported off of Sa'do and out of High Reaches, probably off the face of the planet if he could. He sadly didn't have that ability, and instead remained frozen where he was. His lungs burned, his whole body ached, and it felt as though he didn't even have the strength to try and roll himself free. All he could do was stare blankly at the wall across from where the pair was stuck, and all his body could do was faintly tremble.
It was the fever making him shake, he chided himself. The fever and all that coughing, that was why he was trembling like a newborn dragonet fresh from shell. He was cold, that was it. Cold, and ruining the life of the person beneath him. "s...s...sorry. I'll try and get up." He pressed his arm down on the floor in an effort to lift, but the sharpness in his lungs made any attempt more painful than it should have been. He couldn't move even if he wanted, and A'ye just collapsed back down. "I'm sorry."

As the arm wrapped about his body, A'ye did indeed stop trembling - though it also seemed as though he stopped breathing as well. His body grew very stiff as his eyes drew wide, but there was a hard sound of exhale as perhaps he was just startled by the sudden movement. Yes, that had to be it. They were both super sick, super weak, and trapped on the floor where a healer was likely to stumble on them and get upset.
"Good....good thing I'm tiny, yeah? Imagine if I was a bear of a guy or something...." A'ye spoke, all the while not looking at Sa'do or anywhere near him. He was focused on the wall, and on getting air back into his lungs properly. He needed to calm down and get up and off him and away and out of the infirmary, but those were all just blank thoughts.
After what seemed like forever silence in his mind, broken only by the thuds of his heartbeat, there was a faint voice. Calm down. Oyath's words were soothing and echoing, like a sweet balm. You're upsetting me, and I don't like it. It was so much easier to use herself as a bargaining chip. the green knew and somewhat hated this, but it worked. She'd been laughing so happily earlier, but not now. Not anymore. Mine, just get some rest. You're tired.
