(PRP) In the Evening Glades (Kaitombo x Orelond)

[Nyx Queen of Darkness]

She walked among the stars. The glowed about her just like any other heavenly body. The cicadas played a harmony that she glided to him to.

Her voice was soft and rich like velvet, like sparkling moonlight caught up and bottled. He had no idea what she said it was as though she was speaking a foreign language he could not understand.

Her brow furrowed and he tried to explain to her that there was nothing wrong, but she didn't seem assured. She looked at him with those eyes as deep as oceans and he got lost in them. He was drowning wasn't he? He was being swept away.

She fought hard to keep her feet from flying towards him. She wasn't even sure what she'd say. What was there to say? She didn't really know him, not in a real way. But over the time since she'd first seen him she'd kind of garnered ths image of him in her mind. It was the idea of who he was and now that she saw him she was worried that the real him would't match up with the dream.


Maybe this had been a mistake.

But she couldn't help the soar of her heart when she saw him until she got closer.

He was making utter nonsense murmurring about stars and dancing moonlight. His skin was pale beneath his usual color and there was a fine sheen of sweat covering his body. His hair was so damp with it, he looked like he'd just bathed.

She pressed her cheek to his and felt the fever burn against her in confirmation. "You're sick..."

Orelond carefully got him around to a more secluded place in the glen and got him to settled with somethig for fever and pain as she coaxed him into drinking water. His body blazed beside her brighter than the sun, or so it felt

There was worry on her face as she let him into the small little grove. She gave him things to eat and drink though he did not want them, but she asked so nicely he took them anyways. All he really wanted to do was drink her in, here in the moonlight.

She made him lay down close to her, she felt so cold he scooched closer in an effort to warm her. She sang softly to him while she smoothed his hair. It was like magic, the sound o her voice with the moonlight and fireflies. He was drifting in a dream world that he was in but not entirely a part of either.

Her voice rose and fell while his eyes drifted closed. It occurred to him that his family would be worried if he didn't come home. But he couldn't. He'd become just coherent enough in this strange state of fever that he realized he was sick and his legs would never let him make it home right now.

Orelond had gave him what hers she had on her or could find quickly, but she feared maybe it wasn't enough He burned so hot that she didn't resist when he came closer, she just threw her neck over his and hummed a song from her childhood. She hoped the heat of her body along with the herbs would break his fever. More for her comfort than his, she started to sing in Sindarin, an old song about the way home.
