Oh.... Huh... Lufianth stretched her neck higher almost unconsciously, as though that would somehow let her understand the difference between the two items being held. They're both round... She began after a moment. Oh, this one was difficult! Her head tipped one way and then the other, struggling and instinctively reaching out for D'hka's support. Mine...
You're doing great, Lufianth. It's okay! He encouraged, and his little green took heart from the praise. I... I think the one is a fruit! She suddenly declared. "Is it a red fruit? And a ball?" D'hka asked, thinking he understood now what he was being shown.

R'ul grinned just a bit as Ignaviath stared at the tuber, turning his head this way and that to try to get a better look at it.
This game is hard, R'ulMine, Ignaviath complained quietly, struggling to understand the object.
"It's only because you've never seen some of these things before," R'ul said, encouraging his dragon to keep his spirits up. "It's a tuber. A thing to eat."
Hmph. Doesn't look very good.

Elibrie tried not to let the failure get to her, and settled herself with deep breaths as she and Kesucianth waited for the next object to be presented. It was almsot a toss-up, but...
"That's a redfruit."

---
Another object was held up by Miela, but this time Ignaviath didn't care to look at whatever it was with much interest. R'ul tried to coax his dragon into trying, but the brown was growing bored with this game.
My brain is getting tired, he huffed quietly, giving the fluffy object one more passing glance before not focusing on it any longer, instead inspecting his claws. R'ul gave a little growl of frustration but had to guess, knowing Ignaviath wouldn't look at it again.
"A...blanket?" No. It seemed it was a towel. Fardles.

HAVELI NOTE 4: There is no hesitation in recognizing and describing heavily used everyday items. Recommended that objects they will need to know without hesitation should be introduced multiple times over the course of a sevenday, if at least not twice a day. "You've got one more left. Way to make it hard to follow." The tease was gentle but also really, really not a tease because there was no way Haveli was going to do this great. She trusted her bond with Sathanaseth, sure, but she also knew that if he was feeling irritated enough by now he wasn't going to focus in the way that they needed. Thankfully his golden sister was someone he...tolerated enough and this lesson had been relatively short.

"That's...is that another redfruit?" It was not. It was a ball. And here she'd dared to feel better about herself for a few moments. It was her fault entirely, though - she should have spent more time trying to get a better look, instead of assuming.

"I'm sorry," Yunara said, a little abashed. Still, her dragonet's spirits were up and she was clearly engaged. It was definitely a positive direction to take the lesson in. At least so far, anyway.
This time, there was no hesitation from Ardoxshoth. "It's a belt again," Yunara said, now able to make out the difference between them. She waited for Haveli to grade her before taking the blindfold off, so that they could switch places.

D'hka frowned quietly to himself... but as he 'saw' what Lufianth did, he brightened. "Oh, a tuber!" Once it was confirmed, he tugged his blindfold off, beaming at his dragon. "Good job, Lufianth! You were amazing!" Still grinning, he reached out to accept the bucket from V'ek. "You'll do just fine! It's definitely a little weird at first..." You can do it! Lufianth cheered similarly for Nimiseth, giving him an affectionate boop. She knew he could, but would love him no matter how it turned out.

-- Hybreoth was certain of their success, and waited eagerly for His to put on the blindfold. He did not sit far from his green sister, certain she was aware of just how much an honor it was to have been so singularly chosen by him. Nothing but generosity was he, of course.
When Lelte held up the first object, Hybreoth stared at the girl and the object with pleasure. Surely, His would understand what he saw. "A redfruit." R'him finally spoke. It was quite a peculiar sensation, really, to look through a dragon's eyes--but Hybreoth's vision was clear enough--for all that it was multi-faceted.

Ignaviath. Focus. The brown glanced up at his rider and R'ul was treated to the sight of himself, blindfolded and looking rather flustered with his dragon's behavior. This was their first real test of sorts and he wasn't having anything to do with it! They'd started off strong but now...
You can do this, Ignaviath. We can do this. How will we fight Thread together if we can't even look at what our partner is holding? Ignaviath gave a little huff of his own, his eyes swirling a bit reddish-orange with irritation, and he glanced back at another fuzzy object before resting his head on his claws, a view of his green sister waiting her turn filling R'ul's mind.
"Now it's a blanket." Nope. The same towel.

It was a silly, stupid thing, and she let it overwhelm her. As a result, it was hard to concentrate properly with Kesucianth, and for the second time, she couldn't even begin to recognize the object. When she pulled off the blindfold, her expression was absolutely miserable. "I'm sorry. I'm terrible at this." Kesucianth nuzzled her cheek and leaned into her to comfort His. There, there. It would be alright. Don't be upset, Mine. We knew we were behind to start, but we will catch up.

HAVELI NOTE 5: If a dragonet has seen something once it can easily recall what it is, provided it is shown it again within a small window of time. The dragonet may not exactly know what it is but may recall the situation around the original viewing of it which will lock the identity into memory. "No need to apologize, it was just a tease. Go easy on Sathanaseth and me, alright?" Haveli looked down at her notes and at the tally she'd been taking before adding it all together. "You came out to a perfect match on all items, which brings you to...." A pause. "Sixteen points. Extremely impressive, be proud of yourselves." This wasn't empty flattery, for once, and Haveli waited for Yunara to remove the blindfold and hand it over before she began her turn. Sathanaseth rumbled next to her, perhaps feeling a bit bold to do well in this challenge after his sister had soared through it nearly effortlessly. Mr Cheri i hope the notes were fun! i'll roll after you post!

-- When Lelte held up a card, Hybreoth stared long at it. Certainly, the shapes on it were unfamiliar to the bronze, and he wasn't quite sure what the small piece of not-parchment was, but he was quite sure His would find it no challenge at all.
Though R'him felt himself squint behind the blindfold, he did finally manage to make clear what his dragon was looking at at--even if Hybreoth had not yet encountered such a thing. "A card."
Yes, well done Mine. We are surely the most clever of them all. The bronze confided, eyes whirling a bright blue-green.

He turned his head but kept it on his paws, glancing at the red, round object Miela had in her hand. Hm...at least the color was interesting this time. R'ul, while grateful Ignaviath was at least trying this time, couldn't quite make out what the thing was. A ball? An apple? It looked pretty round and he didn't see a stem, so he tossed out what he thought it was. "A ball." No, an apple. Sighing, R'ul took off the blindfold and passed it to Miela, taking the basket of objects from her. "Hope you do better than we did," he muttered, glaring just a bit at Ignaviath who didn't seem to care. He was sprawled out now, content to sun himself and rest while his sister took her turn.
