V'ime and RhodonthRoute: Western Hold - Black Sands Hold - Paradise Falls Hold - Redoubt Hold - Dust Sun Hold - Whitecliff Weyrhold - Western HoldFeeling: Very Confident Ribbons: 4/6 Quote: You manage to make it to the proper Hold, but you're struggling to find the Weyrlingmaster's Assistant. It is awfully dark, and clouds have hidden one of the moons. It takes a while, and you're not sure where to go -- but eventually you spot the green rider assistant who grants you a ribbon. Phew! You almost thought about giving up. Obtain your ribbon! "Can we focus, please?" V'ime growled quietly from his spot in the saddle. Rhodonth sighed but went along with her rider and they made the jump back to Western. Things were different now that there weren't many dragons about and it took Rhodonth and V'ime a bit of time before they finally spotted the assistant on a green dragon. That makes four. Mm. Not the best, but not the worst, I hope, Rhodonth mused as they landed. V'ime huffed softly as he slid out of the saddle after detaching his straps. "What, the perfect jumps every time weren't good enough for you?" They hadn't gotten lost or thrown off track once, and even the slight kerfuffle with the wind was after the fact. V'ime felt good about the drill and his confidence had certainly taken a positive boost. Rhodonth sighed as she gazed at the four ribbons, though she wouldn't pout to anyone about missing two. Just V'ime. Quietly.

Niviora & Sauzath Route: Dust Sun Hold, Whitecliff Weyrhold, Black Sands Hold, Western Hold, Paradise Falls, Redoubt Hold Confidence Level: Very Confidant --- Sauzath’s eyes rolled an irritated shade of red, though flecked by the barest tinge of purple as she watched her sister rise into the night and disappear from sight. However kept herself from rising to the bait, huffing into the night sky after her pale form was gone from overtop Western Weyr. They would be joining the rest of the weyrlings soon. She shifted this way and that, so Niviora could finish her fastidious checking of the straps.
“Determined, hm?” The strap was snug and secure. A little over preparation never hurt, especially when failure’s result could be catastrophic.
Of course. A chance to show her up and collect more ribbons? I’d happily take the chance. She was positively beaming, giving her wings a beat as Niviora stepped away and watched to make certain the straps weren’t too tight.
“Then let’s get going.” Niviora pat her dragon before climbing up into the straps. The green was almost luminous in the dark, and climbed up high with just a few beats of her wings. Enough room to snap between, and onto their first mark -- Dust Sun Hold.

Niviora & SauzathRoute: Dust Sun Hold, Whitecliff Weyrhold, Black Sands Hold, Western Hold, Paradise Falls, Redoubt Hold Confidence Level: Very Confidant Ribbons: 1 --- Quote: 2-5 You manage to make it to the proper Hold, but you're struggling to find the Weyrlingmaster's Assistant. It is awfully dark, and clouds have hidden one of the moons. ----4-10: It takes a while, and you're not sure where to go -- but eventually you spot the green rider assistant who grants you a ribbon. Phew! You almost thought about giving up. Obtain your ribbon! The sight of Dust Sun Hold beneath them was a small relief, but short lived with how low the visibility was. The cloud cover was making seeing almost impossible in the low light, and Sauzath was doing her best to stay still and hover so they could find the Weyrlingmaster’s Assistant. There we are. Down there. She’s barely called out the location before Sauzath was starting to wheel down below to the greenrider. One ribbon down! And now onto Whitecliff Weyrhold.

Niviora & SauzathRoute: Dust Sun Hold, Whitecliff Weyrhold, Black Sands Hold, Western Hold, Paradise Falls, Redoubt Hold Confidence Level: Very Confidant Ribbons: 2 --- Quote: 17-19 Once again, you're feeling pretty confident about this whole thing! You give your dragons coordinates and: ---- Confident and Above You give your dragon the coordinates and encourage them Between. The cat's in the bag! Except, by the time you come out Between you realize not only is it daylight -- but you're on the Southern Continent! You visualized not Western Hold but Southern Hold, confusing the morning's lesson in your haste. Oh for Faranth's sake. You hurriedly give the correct coordinates, and gain a ribbon--even if you're pretty sure the weyrlingmaster is well aware of what happened. Oops. The sunlight is almost blinding when they come out of Between, and both rider and dragon were sent balking as Niviora did her best to assess where they were. And judging by the heat, and the daylight, she had confused her coordinates for Southern and not Western. ’Shaffit, Sauzath--’On it. With the nudge of the proper coordinates, they were appearing above Whitecliff Weyrhold properly, and although a touch chastened by the slip up, confidently took the ribbon before they were off to Black Sands Hold.

Niviora & SauzathRoute: Dust Sun Hold, Whitecliff Weyrhold, Black Sands Hold, Western Hold, Paradise Falls, Redoubt Hold Confidence Level: Very Confidant Ribbons: 3 --- Quote: 6-9 Hopping Between isn't the problem for this stop You get to where you need to go without trouble, and are able to seek out the weyrlingmaster and obtain that ribbon. Why did they think this was a challenge? With the blip of an accident behind them, they made easy their third stop along the circuit. Black Sands Hold and it’s ribbon under their belts, Sauzath almost snorted softly. Was this supposed to be a challenge? But they had ended up in Southern, and could have possibly ended up worse than that. So she would continue to take it seriously. She supposed. Sauzath reached out to Haitanth with an affectionate wash. Accidentally popped to Southern and saw some very handsome boys. After graduation, maybe we should go and get a proper eyeful. If she was too terribly bored, at least the idea sounded entertaining. ’Are you done?’ Niviora’s grinning, though nudging the coordinates to their next jump; Western Hold proper.

Why did they think this was a challenge? Yawn. This was getting boring -- though Niviora was quick to nudge her about staying on track. She’s adding the fourth ribbon to their growing collection, though the green is instead reaching out to her dear brother Quinineth out of sheer boredom. I hope you’re having a much better time than us at this, Quinineth. Her tone was idle and droll; bored already. But at least they were mostly over with the run. Four jumps done, two left -- and they were on to Paradise Falls.

It is awfully dark, and clouds have hidden one of the moons. ----3: In your struggle to see where you're going, you almost crash into one of your fellow weyrlings, who popped Between. Whoops! Quote a fellow weyrling/player -- you both lose one confidence level. [If they aren't in the same spot, don't worry--we'll pretend an NPC spooks them wherever they are, and you just spooked a different NPC. Fuzzy time! If everyone has finished playing, that's okay] No ribbon for you! The near collision as they’re shortly out of between has Sauzath snapping at her sibling, eyes a bright red as she’s forced to maneuver around the clumsy fool to almost crash into her. ’It’s alright, love.’ Niviora’s voice is grounding, even if she’s almost wanting to chase and give a piece of her mind. But she’s focusing in her rider’s voice. No ribbon from Paradise Falls -- but they only had one more stop to go before they could go home, and they had more than enough confidence.

Cloudcover was being utterly obnoxious even at Redoubt Hold, but thankfully light enough that they were able to see the assistant far off. Five ribbons for their run -- not bad! Eager to see home, but not so eager she can’t enjoy her moment, Sauzath is lightly touching Rhodonth’s mind with every ounce of feigned sweetness. Oh, seems we’re returning with five ribbons. How did you fair out, darling sister~?

R'in and Bronze DemodethHad R'in been alone tonight, his silent stillness would have rendered him effectively invisible. But perched on the back of a massive bronze, anonymity was impossible. Any minor spikes of nerves were tempered by Demodeth's stubborn certainty, allowing R'in to keep a clearer head than he might on his own. They were ready. Nothing would stop them from besting this exercise and coming home.
Redoubt Hold first. Here. The starting location Liat had given them was clear in the young man's mind as he shared it with his dragon.
Simple enough. Demodeth shifted his weight, casting his thoughts toward Alenciath even though he didn't try to find her in the crowd. Don't dawdle. Stay alert. Fly well. He didn't actually say any of those things, but his mental nudge held the proper sentiment. When he did speak to the green, it was almost playful.
I bet I can find more ribbons than you.
And then they were off.
Quote: Confident You're feeling good and are confident that you and your dragon are going to come out on the other side without issue. The lesson might be new, and difficult, but you trust in your studies, your lessons, and your abilities. You'll be fine! Quote: 3. R'in and Bronze DemodethThey appeared over Redoubt in the middle of a steep dive, eyes peeled for weyrlingmaster assistants and ribbons. As expected, their immediate whereabouts weren't so obvious in the dark.
A dragon should be hard to miss, even in these conditions.
R'in didn't reply, but a breath or two later, he gestured at a dark green form on the ground. Though Demodeth couldn't see his rider's hand, he followed it anyway, landing nearby so that they could retrieve their first ribbon.

Fahn and AlenciathOptimism and a proper outlook were only about a third of what was needed for the late-night lesson the group was being tasked with. While Fahn and Alenciath practically radiated rosy fearlessness, they also reeked of distractibility - something that was plainly obvious when the still young green felt the touch of a familiar bronze's mind. It riled her, the absolute joyous rise in the green's already high mood bleeding into Fahn in dangerous leaps and bounds. Her return brush was almost as much of an overeager bowl as an actual romping, leaping, running boop would have been on any day - You're on! Alenciath's voice jittered with excitement and her body nearly trembled with it too. This was no longer a lesson. It was a game with one of her favorite dragons and Fahn wasn't about to fight the elation of that notion. There was no caution in either of them and whether that would be disastrous or not remained to be seen. There was little in the way of double checking as both girl and green took off into the night sky - they had ribbons to get now!
