Wisp hesitated, torn between their duty to watch over Moon and the desperate need for sleep. "Not sure how she'll react when she awakens, but we shall try what you suggest." With a yawn, they pressed against Moon's troubled slumbering form and curled into a ball. Soon they were fast asleep, with Moon's body twitching once in a while.
Only a few hours passed before Moon herself awoke, the dawn's pale glow seeping across the freshly-fallen snow. Some of it had drifted inside the cave. Blinking her bleary eyes, she turned her head and saw... the looming figure of a male purewalker nearby. Sleep-fogged brain led to a panic instant awake as she let out a startled yelp and rolled away, the cloak slipping off under Wisp's weight. Wisp, jolted awake, nimbly jumped out of the way to see Moon had shifted in a blind panic into her feral form and her cloak was underneath their paws. "It's okay, Moon. Ash kindly offered to keep watch while we slept. And look; the blizzard is over. Want to see just how deep it got?"
Distracted, Moon turned her head to see what her familiar had pointed out and gave a small tailwag before realizing their cloak had fallen off and she was in feral form. Ears low, she let out a soft whine.

Wisp let out a hearty laugh and quickly stopped, but still had an impish gleam in their eyes. "We DID attempt to warn you. How's it feel?"
Moon, meanwhile, stood stock-still in confusion and alarm as she finally finished waking up all the way. Wait... what? He was... oh. About to hide her face behind her paws in shame, she noticed Ash wasn't where he was when she woke up. Nor was he still in the den... At Wisp's words, she lifted her head to see a rather startled feline wearing winter's finest fashion just outside the mouth to the cave. She couldn't help but stare for a hot minute before letting out a bark-like laugh, a soft whuff which she quickly cut off. Rapid ear swishes and pawing with some tail wags made Wisp struggle to keep up translating.
"Boss says you look like a pup learning about their first winter. I think... She's speaking a bit fast, even for me."
With a bound, cloak forgotten, Moon launched herself into the snow and rolled around for a bit before getting back up. Tongue lolling out of the side of her mouth, she wordlessly spoke to Wisp once more.
"She's calling you an amateur and showing you how a pro does it." Wisp laughingly translated.
