The chop would be heard around the crowd as Trent would double over and hold his chest for a moment. It seemed Salem wanted a striking contest. Once Trent composed himself, he would start getting in Salem's face before looking to deliver a chop of his own

Salem snarled with competitive glee as Trent didn't back down, getting forehead to forehead with Croft as they pushed each other's skulls like feuding rams! The crowd loved the rivalrous intensity, ooh'ing as Trent reared back and tried to cleave flesh with a chop across Salem's chest! Taking a couple steps back, Salem winced and smirked, biting his bottom lip before coming in hard with a retaliatory smack to Trent's sternum, putting his whole palm into it!

Trent would hold his chest, feeling the pain on his chest start to build. But he snapped back again as he looked to slam Salem's face with a forearm!

Salem took Trent's forearm across the chin, snapping his head to the side and staggering him back a step! His jaw rattled from the impact, threatening to loosen a tooth or knock one out as he reared back following the blow, throwing a hard forearm back into Trent's mouth to a pop from the crowd!

Trent received a stiff shot, stumbling but looking to send a right close handed strike this time to the skull of Salem as things were heating up!

Salem heard the crowd pop as he popped Trent across the jaw, looking to press on the attack and start throwing 'bows across his comrades chin, looking to overwhelming him with an offensive flurry!

Trent would be struck multiple times in succession this time, causing Trent to keep stumbling back closer and closer to the ropes, but before he got to that point he would start throwing some wild strikes back at his opponent.

The crowd got even hotter as Trent started throwing wild shots back, Salem and he exchanging fists with one another in reckless abandon! Croft would back up a couple steps and allow Trent to fight back from the ropes, only to drop to the mat and attempt to trip Trent up with a drop toe hold catch! Trying to twist his legs as he went down and use them to bring Trent into the canvas by tangling into his ankle and knee, Salem looked to bring the fight back to the mat!

Salem was done with striking as it seemed, as he would drop to the mat and take Trent with him with the drop toe hold. Trent would avoid most of the fall by using his forearms to absorb the fall, but he was still in an unfavorable position after being taken down

Salem brought Trent face down into the canvas, quickly twisting into side control and looking to pry Trent's right arm off the mat, hooking through his propped up elbow to attempt wrenching it out and behind Trent in a Fujiwara Armbar near the middle of the ring!

Trent would feel his arm start to get wrenched back into an unfavorable position. To counter this, Trent looked to roll his body and Salem with it into a side cradle pin. Hoping Salem either loses off the cheeky move, or lets go of the hold in order to escape the pinfall

Salem tried to sink in the armbar deep, but lost his leverage as Trent rolled into it and reversed with the side cradle pin! The referee got to a two count before Salem released his grip on the stretch and rolled back to his feet in a crouch, aiming to pop up and attempt a sudden finisher of his by bouncing Trent's face off the mat with a sudden Nap Town Stomp!

Trent would have rolled into a kneeling position. But knowing his friend and never to let his guard down, Trent would be able to lift his head in time and catch Salem's leg, looking to throw Salem back and hook in a heel hook!

Salem thought he was about to catch Trent slipping and get the win with his patented NTS, but it was Croft caught slipping as his old friend snagged the leg and brought him back down to the mat in a heel hook submission! Feeling the torque ratcheting up in his ankle, Salem frantically started kicking with his free leg to stun Trent enough to break the hold before it was sunk in deeper!

Trent was on the verge of hooking in a huge submission that would probably impact the rest of the match, but before it could be cinched in, Salem found an inch and took a mile as he delivered multiple kicks that would force Trent to leg go of the hold and roll away
