Ralza wasn’t much for parties. At least, not parties like these. However, she couldn’t help but let her curiosity get the best of her. During her travels, whispers of the Toreador had flitted to her ears—as well as rumors of every clan but Ravnos—and she couldn’t help but think they were similar to the Ravnos. The Toreadors thought of themselves as artists, didn’t they? Ravnos were artists.. they simply perfected the art of deception rather than physical pieces. Ralza wouldn’t voice this particular opinion to a Toreador, though. She preferred talking behind people’s backs (and didn’t want to start a fight. Especially not here. The security, whose eyes warned of protecting Elysium, were very clear in their intent). The large mansion seemed like a gaudy display of wealth. Who even needed this many rooms? Ralza rolled her eyes to herself. Perhaps it’d be more palatable if the mansion was set on wheels to move, even if that idea was more ridiculous than realistic.

She roamed around the crowds of people, a smirk across her face as she listened to every conversation she could, Ralza couldn’t help but be a little bored. This was much too stuck-up for her taste. Ralza didn’t own more formal clothes, so she simply showed up in her usual (and rather… uncouth) outfit. They would have to deal with it. If the other clans didn’t like it, they could stop looking at her. Ralza noticed the more upbeat part of the area and immediately migrated over to the loud room. This was much more her speed. The feathers atop her head bounced semi-distractingly in time with the vibrations of the loud music, joined by the sounds of her tinkling golden jewelry and earrings. Ralza liked dressing herself in ornaments and piercings, draping silks and fabrics along with those ornaments to fit the aesthetic of her clan perfectly.

All of these Clanned kindred. It was almost disgusting, but somehow Euphoria didn't really care. The invitation had gone out to everyone, after all, and he had a reason to be there. Namely, to show off the handsome vampire he'd claimed as his own. The singer was absolutely delighted to spend every waking moment that he wasn't performing with his new beau. To say that he was smitten was something of an understatement. There could have been symphonies devoted to his love for Killian. Entire ballads composed. He had to settle for taking him to the swankiest party in Hemlock. That was something, even if it wasn't quite what Killian deserved.

As it was, he paraded through the front door like he belonged there, with the most handsome vampire in all the world on his arm. The tableau was like a who's who of the undead world, and even Euphoria recognized a few of the attendees. Some powerful figures had deigned to grace the party with their presence. Well, good for them. Dressed to kill, the clanless vampire sauntered past the entryway into the great room beyond.

The first thing that caught his eye was the dim light. Fitting, given the company currently being kept. "Where to first? Do you want to dance, Killian?" he asked, squeezing Killian's hand. There didn't seem to be too many dancers yet, from what little he could see, but he didn't mind being among the first. Of course, there was an entire ballroom that was probably full of dancers, and maybe that's where he ought to head if he was in the mood for dancing. But it all depended on how Killian was feeling. Really, he didn't care what they did. So long as they did it together.

Wearing a floor length gown that seemed to shimmer as she moved, the Daeva Antediluvian made her way to the mansion with a rather remarkable guest at her side. Unlike last year's party, this year's party saw Shamhat on Ishtar's arm. On her left hand a ring glittered, proof of the promise between the two of them. A matching ring adorned the Disciple's finger. Walking as though she were floating, for her happiness made her feel as though she were, the Daeva glided past the guests at the party. Ah, she felt young again. Young and so in love. It was something of a miracle. It had been many years since Shamhat had known happiness and never before had she been this happy.

Ishtar had made her the happiest woman alive. Or rather, unalive. Walking in sync together, they made their way into the party proper, Shamhat grabbing a glass of champagne from a passing tray and smiling into Ishtar's eyes. She could not quite focus on the festivities at hand. There were rather better things to enjoy. Such as, for example, her love's company. She had perhaps never been more radiant than she was in the light of Ishtar's love, a necklace tucked discreetly into the neckline of her gown. No one needed to see the pair of fangs that nestled there. But she knew they were there. That was the important thing.

"Well, what do you think, my heart? Shall we dance? Or shall we simply enjoy the ambiance?" Enjoy the time together, really. What ambiance there was was eclipsed by the pure joy of the moment. It seemed tantamount to a miracle that they were there together. Unlike last year's party. There she had been miserable due to Ishtar's choice in company. This year would be different. She squeezed Ishtar's arm, and glanced about the room. Already there was quite a gathering to behold. Even Grendel had arrived, and she counted no less than three Disciples in attendance. There might yet be more.

Deja vu. The vampire looked at the front door, standing in the same spot she had last year. She had started the night alone, but she had found company inside. Ishtar had a pit in her stomach as she recalled last year's party and the chaos that had ensued after. She had almost lost her that night. Returned and lost in the same evening, what a tragedy that would have been. She fingered the ring on her finger thoughtfully. She'd never lose her again.

The Disciple shoved open the doors alongside her lover, stalking into the party in a glittering gown of silver that exposed her breasts, which were heavily adorned with jewelry as usual. Yet for all the bobbles she possessed the ring upon her hand whose twin rested on Shamhat's delicate finger was Ishtar's favorite possession. As the two entered the party her eyes scanned the attendance, nodding acknowledgement to the disciples who met her eye, as well as Grendel, the God who ended the Daeva's dependence on their vices. She could never tell him but she owed him much for that. No amount of support or troops for war or gold would ever pay back what she has gained.

She kept her hand rested lightly on Shamhat's lower back as they moved, occasionally drifting downward to caress her ample buttocks when she thought she could get away with it, casting a mischievous glance at Shamhat as she did so. Ishtar looked forward to seeing Shamhat's finery crumpled on the floor. But first, she wanted to show off her beloved,. and there were many in attendance.

Her grin widened as Shamhat spoke to her. "Let's dance my love. I want everyone to see how beautiful you are tonight." She lead her Antediluvian to a clearing among the people and furniture and spun her around the room, dancing in a way that caused both of their dresses to float and dance alongside them. While Ishtar wanted everyone's eyes on the two of them she herself could only stare at her mate, her eternal lover.

For too long the Gangrel Disciple had kept to the shadows since his reawakening. Even when Enoch happened to travel outside of his woodland domain, he did so relatively unseen except by maybe a few Kindred in positions of power or perhaps those of his clan. Much of his time was spent deep within the forests, prowling through the night in search of sustenance or trailing the scents of his enemies to keep tabs on their whereabouts. With only his primal instincts guiding him, the animal relished in the freedom of nature and songs of the creatures that lived among the woods. That is, until he met the siren that captivated him and coaxed him out of isolation. Although the monster within was ever present, threatening to break free of its cage, she facilitated his ability to tame his Beast with both her melodious voice and alluring presence.

It was Delilah who brought up the invitation to the festivity. Although there may have been a summons for him as well, he assumed the host would hardly expect him to actually show, given his lack of participation the year prior. This was not normally something he would submit himself to, let alone dressing the part. But for her as well as the recent revelation, there was more than enough reason to celebrate. Despite his initial hesitation to attend, Enoch prepared himself for the event with little fuss.

Just before the pair entered the light cast out upon the grounds of the mansion, he paused their stroll-- well, she gracefully sauntered and he awkwardly plodded along beside her, still adjusting to his dress shoes-- and turned to face his beloved. His gaze wandered over her once more as he studied the glamorous dress she chose, highlighted by the glitter of golden accessories so neatly placed upon her figure. Admiration crossed his features briefly before a subtle look of disdain appeared as he glanced at his own attire, contemplating if his image was charming enough to join her. The tailored suit that she presented just hours before felt restrictive and unconventional for a wildling such as himself. He knew nothing of the material or make of his outfit, though he was sure there was an air of quality about the pieces. If not for her assistance, his hair would have remained unkempt and a simple rag of clothing might have covered his brutish mass. A sigh escaped him, sounding like more of a low rumble as if thunder rolled in the distance.

This was a night for her. For them. To ring in the new year with an enthusiasm he had not felt in many moons, too long ago to truly remember. He was determined to make certain that she enjoyed the evening.

Enoch straightened his hulking posture and attempted to compose himself, loosely fidgeting with his jacket collar before asking Delilah to fix it for what was likely the fifth time since he dressed. While still carefully flexing his toes in the confines of his shoes, his bestial senses remained on high alert, surveying those that wandered along the path to their destination. He reminded himself of Elysium, less concerned about his own actions but somewhat uneasy for her sake of others who may be present. After the brief moment of silence under the light of the moon, he tucked his arm against his frame and offered the notion of escorting her through the grand entrance. "Shall we, m'lady?" he asked with a grin, a gleam in his eye often seen by her alone.

The colorful vampire was pleased by the array of company that had already arrived, and was certain more would be on their way in due time. Who would want to miss such a delightful evening? Surely, their parties were nothing short of legendary, and Kitrye's mansion, decked out in all its splendor, was no exception.

Mortals and vampires alike mingled together, and that in itself was a novelty Caius thoroughly enjoyed. That the unknowing individuals walked among legends, and even a god, was amusing to the Disciple. May those who gave no thought to mortality be blessed to remember--for no vampire could truly thrive without the unwitting mortal fae beside them. Perhaps Caius was overly fond of mortals, but what Toreador wasn't? They were beautiful in their own way, forever changing in a way a vampire did not. A true delight.

The kiss to his hand did cause him to turn his gaze away from Grendel, and he smiled at the vampire next to him. No, he had other things to focus on, such as a dance with the vampire with the most handsome vampire in the mansion. "A dance then -- I'm well overdue a turn on the floor," he mused, drawing Asana over to the the ballroom dance floor. He'd check out the faster paced music of the club scene later that evening, but for now, he wanted to show Asana off -- and what better place to do so than that of the decorative ballroom? "Shall we, bien-aimé?"

There would be plenty of time to socialize and rub elbows later. The night was young and theirs to thoroughly enjoy.

Even as Shamhat absently swatted Ishtar's hand away from her rear, she leaned into Ishtar all the same. She was over the moon to be here with Ishtar. "As you wish," she said, a smile upon her crimson lips. She was more than happy to dance with her Disciple. And never mind that they were not in the ballroom. Who would question Ishtar, after all? Even if there was somewhere a bit more appropriate to be dancing. She glittered as she spun, her dress sweeping out in a great halo around her, before twirling inward like a mermaid's tail. She laughed joyously, a sound not heard in many ages of the world.

But it was heard now. Now, and not before, the Antediluvian delighted in her companion, in the moment, in the dance. If there was music to be heard in the room it could not compare to the music within her heart. "Oh my darling. My love. I adore you so," she whispered as they danced. She could not help herself. She was so happy. Memories of the prior year's festivities could not eclipse the moment. Never mind that Ishtar had had another companion that last year.

Watching Enoch dress for the party was its own reward, Delilah decided. It had been simple enough to put on the best of her finery, and lay out an outfit for Enoch, but quite another thing for him to put it to the use it was meant for. She smothered her laughter as he struggled with the shoes. She could not help it. It was so charming. Delighted that he'd chosen to wear the outfit she'd picked out for him, she accompanied him to the party, her own dress flowing about her like a cloud. But a cloud could not compare to the weightlessness she felt. She had only just recently shared their happy news with him, and was elated to celebrate it at the party.

She listened to his sigh as they approached the mansion, glancing up to try to read his face. Her hands absently went to the collar of his jacket, setting it to rights within moments. It was becoming a habit. She glowed as if lit from within, for... in a way, she was. Glowing with more than health. "We shall, my love." Her great grey beast. Oh how she adored him. Delilah had never known love as she loved Enoch. There was something so timeless about him, something that grabbed the senses in a way she could not explain. She took his arm, delighted by the opportunity to show him off to the world. "Do you want to dance or mingle?" She had a guess, but only time would tell what he preferred.

It was the simplest thing in the world to join Caius on the dance floor. Simpler, by far, to lead him in a dance fitting for the Disciple. Delighted as he was by Caius's company, he could not help but spin him out for the world to see, and then spin him back in close against him. Ah, such beauty. Such grace. "But of course, my darling. My dove." His beautiful star. Burning as brightly as any that graced the sky above. Ah, but Caius was truly a vision. A marvel to behold. His hands ached for the feel of the chisel, of the marble that would suit Caius so well.

Perhaps when they had finished with the party they could subsume themselves in the throes of their art... and their passions. He could not resist. He had scarcely waited for an answer from his Disciple, eager as he was to show him off. And was Caius not resplendent? He was, perhaps, a trifle biased. Who could help but be biased when the love of their unlife was before them? He swept his beloved across the dance floor, spinning in time with the music.

Ignatius Giovanni had cleaned up well for the Toreador party, and while he was usually inclined towards such festivities, he had brought Aureliano with him for a reason. They were here to hopefully rub elbows with a few vampires who might help their cause. It was a long shot, given the proclivities of the vampires they were hoping to meet, but there was rarely better an opportunity to bump into certain figures than that of a high-end party. Perhaps this party wouldn't draw the vampires they were looking for, but there was a chance they could get lucky.

So it was, Iggy had cleaned up and dressed well for the affair. He had tied his long hair back into intricate loops, keeping it well out of his face. He wore a fine suit, cut of the finest cloth, with a dark purple and black waistcoat, a fine white shirt, and a dark purple silk tie. He wouldn't shame his family or his lineage by looking anything but grand, and he adorned his look with his usual silver and black accessories. Perhaps, more surprising than the young Giovanni showing up for the party, was the fact he'd shown up with his husband, Aureliano, on his arm.

Gods knew the last time they'd been seen together at a party was their wedding and reception -- something they'd spent more time apart at than actually together. Of course, Iggy knew they weren't here to enjoy the night or one another's company the way other couples might...

But they were trying to mend their marriage, or at least start over, and this would be a testament of their agreement. Gods, he wanted a smoke, and he'd only just stepped into the main foyer of the mansion. This was his first time at such a party, much less with so many high ranking guests and vampires. His Beast was already on edge, but it was nothing a bit of vitae-laced alcohol wouldn't dull. That mortals were also here was....a choice and not one Iggy would have ever made.

But different Clans and different rules.

"Did you want a drink?" Iggy asked Aurey, not sure he was feeling the bubbly passed on silver trays. He wanted something harder.

This year, at this party, Miyako felt far more confident than the last. She was a proper member of her mate's Clan, these days, and with that came a not-insignificant rise in her own ability to acquire clients and have her designs seen. And they had been blessed with two beautiful sons, one of whom had already found a partner of his own--truly, Miyako could not be happier with her life.

It was her husband's creation that she wore tonight; an elegant piece that flattered her perfectly, not that she expected any less from his work (or her own.) Embroidered lavender silks that complemented her hair, a graceful look that was different from what she made for herself but that she loved all the more for it.

Ertéan's whisper in her ear brought a broad smile to her face.

"Always, my love," she said, and she leaned close to him, offering a hand to take her away to the dance floor.

What an incredible night.

To say that Atelier was excited to attend the party was to greatly understate the matter. It was everything he could possibly dream of, really; an opportunity to meet new people and mingle with the great and the glorious of the vampire establishment.

There were so many interesting faces here. So many to watch and consider. So many to meet, to make connections for himself beyond his family--he loved them, of course, but Issey had Rapture and his parents had each other, and so, decked out in an elegant black velvet dress from his father's latest womenswear line, embroidered with elegant silver roses, he knew that he made a graceful picture, and if he was lucky, someone might decide to admire it.

He just had to find the right person.

No party like a Toreador party, Belial supposed, or at least no party that he would attend.

Any gathering of the undead glitterati was an occasion, and a year-end party held by Toreador's most upper crust was the sort of thing that a young fledgeling who wanted to make his mark simply couldn't afford not to attend. And of course Belial wouldn't be attending alone--having Xenoza at his side was both a pleasure and a bit of a brag, if he was honest. Getting them both dressed well, in matching suits, fitted to accentuate his handsome partner's fine physique, had been a bit of a trial--but one ultimately worth it. They looked good, and Belial felt, smugly, that they were destine to turn a head or two.

"Well, darling," he said, with a charming little smile, "this should be an entertaining night."

The only reason Aureliano was attended by this party thrown by the Toreadors was the slim hope that they might run into someone who would be able to help in Ignatius and his predicament. He wasn’t here to socialize, wasn’t there to have fun. No. The Giovanni Neonate was there simply to take care of business. They still had other avenues to explore but right now a large gathering of vampires seemed like a good as place as any to find someone with the information they needed.

He had dressed to the next new this evening. Though perhaps not quite as buttoned up as his husband. A good pair of slacks, shoes and an elegant enough looking shirt. All his stones that he wore had been polished. The one at his throat especially catching the light of the party as they made their way into the mansion.

Any other person would be there to show off their companion if they had come with one. And while Ignatius did look extravagant and elegant in his attire with his hair swept away from his beautiful face showing off was the last thing in Aureliano’s mind. No, he’d much prefer to keep a low profile even if his husband did not. He did, however, glance at the younger male beside him every now and again. Admiring for the briefest of moments how nice he looked in the dim glow of party lights.

As if he had read his mind Ignatius’s question was rewarded with a nod and a light sound of approval at the thought. “Yea, a drink would be a good idea.” Nothing that the servers were carrying about seemed strong enough and so with Iggy on his arm Aureliano made his way over to the bar to order them a couple of drinks. “Order what you want. It seems to be an open bar afterall.” He motioned to one of the bartenders, ordering himself a glass of whiskey, top shelf. As he waited for his drink he turned from Ignatius to scan the room. Eyeing all those currently in attendance. None seemed like they might be of the caliber they were looking for but them again looks could be deceiving. He leaned over so that only Iggy could hear him. “Any ideas where we should start?”

Parties weren't usually of interest to the older vampire, but every now and then, even he put down his books and tomes, dusted himself off, and stepped outside. It helped that this sort of gathering was more his pace and style, at least in terms of its elegance. It was no backstreet bar or nightclub. There were plenty of interesting conversations which might be had if he cared to have any at all. While it wasn't meant to be a meeting of the minds, who knew might happen with so many ranking vampires all in one place? Of course, there was one vampire in particular Gideon wished to know better, and he had every intention of doing so this night.

So, in a surprising amount of emotion, Gideon had sent out a letter to his muse Capulet, inviting him to the party as his date... and if so, he'd meet him at the party. He didn't wish to pressure the other, didn't wish to force his hand, and whatever happened, happened. Surely, this sort of affair would be of interest to the other vampire--perhaps he would not mind being shown off by the crystal armed vampire? Then again, even if Capulet didn't show, or spurned his desire to see him again, he could always turn in early -- his tomes would be a satisfactory distraction, or so he claimed.

So it was, the silver haired vampire had dusted off his finest clothes, gussied himself up with a splash of cologne, and while he might be a bit old fashioned in his style, he actually put forth some effort into his appearance. Capulet deserved that much, at least.

Stepping into the main foyer of the mansion, he gave a low nod to the host, resting upon the chaises lounge, before he let his eyes sweep over the rest of the others at the party. Perhaps Capulet had not arrived yet? Or perhaps he was in that room, with the flashy lights and fast beat of dancing. Hmm. Did he peek his head in? Or did he get a drink and take his time? Perhaps he'd need a libation first, a bit of liquid courage, before he tried to seek the object of his interest.

The time between Grendel's last public appearance and this one somehow seemed to drag by in a blissful eternity yet pass in the mere blink of an eye. So much had happened since then. So many curious yet wonderful events that completely altered the course of the Deity's existence. Unlikely alliances, a boost in power, an impromptu trip across realities to find the one he lost...He could take on the challenges he faced now with new verve, knowing that he had not only established himself as the one and true God of All Vampires but that he had also been gifted with something incredibly precious.

A fragile thing at first. Feelings wrapped in a single word that he could barely fathom, or understand, and even now he still sometimes struggled to unravel all of its intricacies. But that was okay. He had someone there to show him what it all meant. Someone with the ultimate of patience and an incredible ability to remain nonplussed even in the face of extreme adversity.

And it was mostly because of him that he decided to make this appearance tonight at the Toreador mansion. Ravnos was a constant reminder of who Grendel wanted to be as a Deity. Someone present, involved, and who wanted to see his followers flourish in this world...or perhaps even in another. He wanted to be available to them, and that meant being there, among them, where they gathered, instead of holed up inside some temple while sitting upon an ominous throne.

The air of the mansion would feel briefly heavy and as if charged with an electricity that would make the fine hairs on one's arms stand on end. It was raw power that spread out from place like the fine silken threads of a web, tingling and clinging to the skin. The lights dimmed briefly, and darkness coalesced before there, in the middle of the main hall, the Deity stood with his companion on his arm.

He was an imposing figure, large, and the raw power that had spread out before now gathered and thrummed through the air surrounding him. His eyes swam in darkness, red gems that shone with a light deep within. He wore, for this occasion, a suit of the finest quality, its threads ebony black and, his charcoal grey shirt beneath was unbuttoned at the collar, with no tie to be seen. His deep red hair with its strikingly bold black strands was woven into a thick and heavy braid that trailed nearly to the floor, while some loose pieces hung down to frame those hauntingly dark eyes. His feet were bare, and shadows gathered and writhed on the floor beneath him, spreading out in some obscure pattern that was forever changing.

Tonight he did not hide who he was. Tonight he allowed them all to see him. Not just his Disciples or those old enough to be sensitive to his power, but every vampire present would know him. He was the God of Vampires, the son of the first vampire, Caine, and he was here.

"Yes." His voice rumbled, deep and dark as an oncoming storm, his eyes flashing with brief warmth as he glanced at the Disciple beside him before he turned that gaze to the guests who had already arrived. Many of the world's oldest vampires had already gathered, a few of which were his own Disciples. Good. Let them all be in one place together. Despite past grievances between the clans, it was nice to see that they could, on occasion, put those differences aside and gather amicably under a single roof.

Lifting a hand, an intricate gold goblet appeared within his grasp, and he raised it to his lips for a drink before holding it toward his companion as an offering.

To say that he had been surprised when the letter had arrived was a bit of an understatement. After their first meeting Capulet had not been so sure he would ever see the handsome male known as Gideon ever again. People were fickle that way honestly. One moment they could seem interested and the next nothing. The young vampire knew that mood all too well though. It wasn’t often much had kept his attention but lately he had found himself thinking more and more about the True Brujah. Normally he didn’t mix with canned vampires but Gideon had sparked something in him to change his mind.

But then he was being invited to a party. A Toreador party nonetheless. And one just knew that it was going to be an extravagant affair.

So he had spent much of the night getting ready. Using perfumed oils on his dark locks so that his hair glistened and gleaned. Wearing it up in an elegant hairstyle. Capulet had pulled out all the stops. This night donning a form fitting off the shoulder black dress with blue embroidery around the hem and top. It was a fetching little number that was sure to turn heads.

But there really was only one vampire’s head he truly wanted to turn.

So as it was he arrived at the place and time. Dazzled by the glitz and glam of the mansion. It almost made him feel like he was high society upon approach. There were already so many here but his gaze was fixed to find only one in particular. And when he entered the main room he instantly spotted him. He looked as handsome now as he had that night which seemed so long ago. But he hadn’t seemed to have seen him just yet. Perfect.

Crossing the room in a sweepingly elegant motion he reached Gideon and tapped him on the shoulder. “Are you lost, darling?” Capulet let out a small chime of laughter as he waited for the other male to turn around and acknowledge him.
