mouse/rat = nezumi
pig = buta
cow = shirushi
sheep = hitsuji
horse = uma
bird = tori
wolf = ookami
bear = kuma
catterpillar = kemushi
fox = kitsune
vulture = taka
croc = wani
frog = kaeru (it's also the verb to go home)
tortoise = kame
monkey = saru
deer = shika
snake = hebi
lion = rayon
parrot = oumu
elephant = zoo
giraffe = kirin

the seasons:

Spring = Haru
Summer = Natsu
Autumn = Aki
Winter = Fuyu
