The clay of his jug turned a deep red as he dipped the vase into the lake. He had a fresh rabbit that would make a wonderful stew so he had gone down the the lake to get water to boil. Setting the vase beside him he kneeled down and splashed some of the cool liquid on his face. He scrubbed his skin for a moment before looking across the surface. The clouds reflected perfectly on the smooth surface, and something else was visable, a green that did not belong to the trees.
His gaze met that of a deep green and yellow mare across the lake. Her two toned main fluttered about her as a gust of wind ran past. Picking up his vace and standing slowly he watched as she backed up a few paces from the edge of the water. Perhaps he had spooked her. Bowing his head slightly to show her he had no intentions of disturbing her drink he turned and headed back toward his home.
---------------------------
She had gone back to the lake in the hopes of getting a bath. Her run from the dark stalion had ened with her caked in dust and grime. She needed a good cleaning and she knew the water would be fresh and cool. She hadnt though she would meet a two legged creature there. Her eyes widened slightly as he looked at her, did he want something too? Was he going to try to tame her? Taking a few steps back she watched him get up off the ground and bow before walking off.
Alrigh, so maybe he wasnt as bad as she though. At least that male had gone his own way rather than bothering her with useless questions. Unlike that stupid, what was his name, Remy, yes, that stupid Remy who had said she needed 'protecting'
Ha.
Walking back to the lake she stepped into the cool water and pushed though the liquid until she was up to her haunches in cold. Wiggling around she let the dust soak off her and out of her hair. Maybe the lake wouldnt be such a bad place to stay. It seemed mostly empty and the man who was here didnt bother her and there was water.

He sat by the lake scrubbing down a pot and watching the green mare as she moved about. She was still not completely trusting of him but at least she had stopped running every time she saw him. He figured if he let her get used to him perhaps she would eventually come over to him on his own.
Glarring at the pot he dunked it in the water once more before taking the scrubber to it again. Just another reminder to not go to sleep with stew still in the pot. This stuff was impossible to get off. Filling the pot with water he decided to let it soak for a while before taking the scrubber to it again.
"Do you want an apple?" He looked over to the mare who had moved toward him as he'd been scrubbing. She started but didnt run this time instead her ears flickered and she looked at him as he got up and moved over towrad his basket full of fruits. Pulling out an apple he held out his hand to her. If she wanted it she would come get it and if not he could just put it back until later.
Rogue watched him carefully. She didnt trust the human but he hadnt really dont anything other than live since she'd seen him. He hadnt tried to tame her and hadnt tried to ride her so maybe he wasnt all bad. Taking a careful step forward she watched for him to move and was suprised when he didnt. He just stood there with the apple out for her.
"I'm not going to hurt you. You just look like you could do with a treat." His voice was soft as he wiggled the apple slightly.
She nickered softly and slowly walked over until she could lean her muzzle out enough to take half the apple in a bite. He kept his hand still and let her eventually take the other half when she'd eaten the first. The apple was sweet and juicy and without thinking she nosed his hand wanting more.
Tsisqua chuckled and whiped his hand on his pants. "Right ... "Leaning down, trying not to spook her, he picked up another apple. "This is the last one."
He held it out to her and smiled as she quickly scarfed that one down too.

She'd made it back to the lake before the moon had crawled even halfway to its zenith. The soft sounds of the night cooled her mind and the water cooled her flesh as she walked to the shallows of the water. The fire was lot outside the human's home was low so he was, like any intelligent human, asleep for the night so he would not bother her. That ment that she could have the night to herself. No one was insight nor could she hear anything other than the soft chirp of crickets. She could let her mind wander and think of peaceful things.
Certinally she wasnt going to think about a certian dark blue stalion or his accent or his muscles or anything about him really. Nope. Certinally not him. Nevermind that he always seemed to pop into her mind when she didnt want him to and nevermind that he seemed to appear when she was thinking about him. Lifting her head she looked around quickly just to make sure he hadnt appeared while she was not looking. From what she remembered he lived somewhere near the lake also even if she didnt see him around all that often.
Wait, wasnt she supose to not be thinking about him?
Shaking her head and snorting she trotted deeper into the water and leaned down to stick her nose in the cold liquid. Maybe if she just hid herself away she wouldnt have to run into people and wouldnt have to deal with thinking about anyone.
Then she wouldnt have to think about Remy and his thinly veiled come on's or the fact that she almost wanted to believe them. She knew better, she knew he had to have a harem of girls clamoring for his attention and she would just be another of them. So she would ignore him, yes, that was the best idea.
It would mean he could go off and play with his girls and she could pretend there wasnt something about him that made her want to think about him.

Rogue had returned to the area near his home early in the morning. She'd seemed spooked by something but a few apples and some soothing words had calmed her. It had also returned her waryness of him but he was becoming used to that. She'd probably never trust him completely and that was alright if that was what the mare needed.
Though the appearence of a gift from his father hadn't done anything to help her nerves. Nuka was a wild one and seemed to delight in angering Rogue. There was little he could do about Nuka other than refuse to give him treats but that only worked so much.
As of now he was free of the two horses, Rogue having wandered off somewhere and Nuka was probably trying to annoy someone else. That left him in peace to wash out his cooking pots from the night before.

The horses of this land caught her attention more than those more like her who lived there. They were so free... As free as she had wished to be when she'd left her tribe; her home. That being the case, when she saw a man who seemed to 'posess' not one, but two of these magnicifant creatures she began to watch him... Carefully.
The young maiden had been watching the camp of the strange brave carefully ever since she'd taken note of it... Pondering how she could set the horses free from the man only to realize that they weren't bound there. No, they, much like the fiery stallion that she had started to 'communicate' with were free to come and go as they pleased.
It had been long since she had talked to any of her own kind... Far too long. As she made her way around the lake to the camp of the other native she kept that in mind. She was a stranger to these parts... A curious stranger wondering if he too valued freedom the way she did.

The water was starting to soak up his jerkins as he scrubbed at the bowls. It was much easier to hold them in the water and he'd found that balanced them between his legs ment he could get more levrege when scrubbing. It also ment that he got rather wet but thankfully the deerskin seemed to dry quickly.
For a hunter he was rather unobservent when near home. He hadnt seen anyone near the lake so he suspected he was the only one in the imediete area. It never crossed his mind that someone else would live this close to the water. Neither woudl it have crossed his mind that if anyone did they would come searching him out.
