i think that Anne•Freaks has AWESOME art, and the manga-ka Yua Kotegawa is REALLY good at drawing blood. the only problem i can find with it is the side views, and i think Fruits Basket's Natsuki Takaya is the best at that.
I also really admire the work put into Chrono Crusade, and it is a wonderful manga and anime.
AND, i also love how Koge-Donbo(Pita Ten, Kamichama Karin, Kon Kon Kokon) and Kiyohiko Azuma (Azumanga Daioh, Yotsuba&!) can draw so naturally cute and make funny storylines.

Why I like it: Because they all have some funny things in them. All of them have depressing parts and sometimes depressing endings.
Why its good: The art is the best I've ever seen. The plots are great. I can always say good things about Yuu Watase mangas.
Genre: Mostly romance, some action, but mostly romance. i agree with you there completely *squeals* YES yes yes yes 4laugh Definately. I agree with you as well. xd

(out of those I've read Kon Kon Kokon, Fruits Basket(my ultimate fav shojo) and Pita-ten, which I also love) I agree with you on the ones that I've read... and I really need to work on getting more diverse manga and try to watch more anime... It's hard to do...

Title: Anything by Matsuri Hino or Arina Tanemura
Why I Like It: Arina Tanemura's manga is funny all the way through the series but there are so many parts that are really sad and dramatic. Matsuri Hino's manga always has a good story line and you can't help but like her manga.
Why It's good: Arina Tanemura's manga has so much detail on every page and in Matsuri Hino's manga you can tell what the characters are thinking and feeling just by the eyes which is really hard to do.
Genre: Romantic Comedy and Drama/Supernatural.

Title: Shinshi Doumei Cross
Why I like it (The story?): The story is SO ORIGINAL. It was so deep, I just couldn't put it down. There were so many interesting plot twists, not stupid random ones like in Marmalade Boy (lollll)
Why its good (The art?): Its done by Arina Tanemura. 'Nuff said, amirite?
Genre: Romance/Drama
Anime~
Title: Ouran High School Host Club
Why I like it: Ahhh! My favorite anime of all time. The story is great! Bisco Hatori is absolutely HILARIOUS and a manga genius (if you've read the later chapters.. O.M.G) The characters in this show are one of a kind!
Why its good: The art was nice. It wasn't too dramatic but good for the show.
Genre: Comedy/Romance (Mostly comedy in the anime. Has more romance in the manga)
