Artemis saw the flicker of something dark in the corner f her eyes, and she resurfaced, looking around. She was getting an odd sensation. Fear. Something she had never felt before. She swam over to the waterfall, and let the mist hit her face, taking in the fresh scent.

The dark shadow from before smiled lightly to itself as it took on a different form and sat down at the edge of the water. It had taken on Nightsong's true form that no one had ever seen before other than Lucifer and Lymbo. He waved lightly at Artemis as he felt the fear in her had grown.

Artemis saw Nightsong appear at the edge of the lake, but it wasn't exactly him. "Nightsong?" she called over the roaring water, her tone questioning and a ta bit confused.

The dark image placed a finger over his lips as if to tell her to hush. His eyes shifted towards the water where the other piece of darkness pulled a kelpie from the water and pinned it to the ground. The kelpie had taken a human form of a guy and was breathing heavily as he kept up his fight against the shadow. "It was planning on killing you..." he murmured softly. "No I wasn't! I was going to ask why she was intruding on my home!" the kelpie growled.

Artemis moved to the side of the lake, and got out, sitting down beside Nightsong. "Your home? Funny.. I thought this was my property.." she said, watching the Male struggle against the shadow, a curious expression upon her face.

" I've lived in this waterfall for a long time and I've been wondering why you happened to be coming here every once in a while to swim so I finally decided I was going to ask you when that thing that isn't even a person attacked me," the guy growled glaring at the image of Nightsong sitting next to Artemis. " Lies," the image of Nightsong purred softly.  Kelpie  Nightsong

Artemis shrugged slightly, before moving back over to the waters edge. "Well, am I allowed to swim here?" she asked in her smooth voice, taking a step into the water.

"If you can get that thing to let me go," the kelpie growled only for the black entity to shove what looked like a sword's shadow through the kelpie's shoulder making him hiss. "I don't think I'm going to let you go, kelpie," the image of Nightsong chuckled as the black entity pinning the kelpie began to twist the shadow like weapon.

Artemis looked at Nightsong, frowning softly. "Can you please let him go dear?" she asked him softly, stepping back into the water.

"N- But master...! Yessir," the image growled snapping his fingers as the shadow moved away from the kelpie. The kelpie grabbed his shoulder before standing up and stepping back into the water's edge. "You may swim here, but that thing isn't allowed anywhere near my home after today," he hissed sinking into the water and turning into a dark blob and vanishing completely. The image seemed to be pouting when he glanced at Artemis. "He should be glad that my master cares about all things..."

Artemis glanced over her shoulder, smirking slightly. "Mistress." she corrected him, before diving under the water once more, swimming around slowly, gracefully.

"But you do not own me, Artemis. My master is still asleep in your home," the image chuckled as a ball of water formed over the water with a fish trapped inside it. A black hand slid towards the fish only for the water to fall back down while the fish seemed to vanish.

Artemis surfaced once more only to look at him. "Oh, right, I forgot." she said, before begining to float on her back, sighing softly.

Artemis nodded and smiled softly. "Of course.. Should I not be able too..?" she asked softly, looking over at him with her dark red eyes.
