Tanisoko _S t a g e ○ O n e [1] Fighting Stance Rank: E :: Simple Description: The user stands with the non-dominant side of the body toward the foe and the sticks raised at an angle at about shoulder height. This is the basic stance of the style and offers a very slight power boost to techniques executed from this position. - Taking his tonfa in hand, Samuru brought them up to his shoulders, holding them across his body in the simple stance. It wasn’t that hard and he practiced going into the stance from different positions.
Block and Counter Rank: E :: Simple Description: The user performs a firm block with one of the sticks and strikes at the foe with the other. The block is effective at stopping weapons that weigh less than fifteen [ 15 ] pounds in weight. The counter can be any technique that only requires one stick. -Utilizing one of the trainers, Muru had him help out on learning the Block and Counter technique. Taking up a wooden sword, the trainer waited then attacked, striking down at Muru. Bringing his left tonfa up, Muru blocked and then spun the right tonfa into the man’s side, lightly tapping. Going back into the relaxed positions, both of them bowed to the other.
Double Block Rank: E :: Simple Description: The user raises both sticks and crosses them to perform a very powerful block. The block is effective at stopping most kinds of weapons. -Waiting patiently, Samuru practiced the fighter stance as he watched the trainer warm up. Striking as Samuru was in mid changing stance, he swept the sword across at Muru’s side. Quickly brining the tonfa up in an ‘x’ allowed Muru to block it and keep his balance, bringing his foot up to press into the trainer’s stomach and force him back with a sharp jab.
Stage One Learned/Learn a Jutsu Mission x3/3
___S t a g e ○ T w o [2] Parry Rank: D :: Simple Description: In a very fluid motion, the user redirects an incoming attack with one or both sticks. This is much less taxing than blocking, since it simply moves the target of an incoming attack. Never performed by hitting the sharp edge of a blade. -Samuru dodged a strike and stepped around the trainer, moving back so that he wasn’t so close but the trainer was faster. Spinning sharply, the trainer lunged, jabbing the blade at Samuru Damn it! Samuru swung his tonfa forward and knocked the sword aside, bringing his free tonfa up in a desperate swing…and subsequently smacking the trainer across the face ”…s-sorry.” he mumbled, coming forward to anxiously check the man. And got a return whack on the top of his head.
Contact Rank: D :: Simple Description: The user swings the stick toward the side of the opponent’s body. This strike is powerful enough to leave painful bruises where it hits. This is almost never used to strike an opponent’s head. -Having performed this by accident a moment ago, Samuru was wary of using this again, at least on the trainer’s head. As such, when he struck, ducking under the man’s swing, he struck at the soft tissue to not break anything. The man doubled over and grunted something about having bruises.
Upward Sweep Rank: D :: Simple Description: The user swings upward with the stick in the back hand while stepping toward the target to increase power. Because this attack is typically aimed at the jaw, it is very likely to momentarily stun the opponent. -Oh s**t. Samuru hadn’t meant to do this. First, he and the trainer had begun a mild spar, attacking and blocking until Samuru attempted to strike using the Upward Sweep. He ducked under the swing and brought his tonfa up…and promptly knocked the trainer off his feet and out cold. Standing there, feeling useless, Samuru swallowed I should leave…

Genin of Konohagakure
[Raiton][Taijutsu][Sensory] [Monk][Resolution][Ryo: 0] [Chakra: 275/275][Stamina: 225/225]
Curse being bored all the time, he had to train, Atteharu had no time for boredum! He got to the sparring grounds, and simply took a seat, first thing he had to do was meditation. Of course, he had to get into the zone for that as well. -Post 1
Atteharu's eyes closed, his hair moving along with the blowing wind. His legs crossed as he would begin to focus himself. His chakra was clearly rather wild like himself right now. -Post 2
His thoughts of the outerworld shutting down, he heard nothing, saw nothing. He was nearing it, the meditation he wanted. It was only a matter of seconds perhaps now. -Post 3
It was easy after a while, his mind was completely gone now. His chakra had calmed, and began flowing peacefully through his body. Meditating before a training session was always the best thing to do was it not? -Post 4
His chakra being maintained in a decent rate of flowing. It never left his body even a bit while he did this. He was controlling it rather well in face. -Post 5
Of course, he couldn't simply do this, not for this kind of training. He was only doing this to get a hang of using his chakra properly. He was testing the waters if you must say something. -Post 6
He his breathing was even in synch with his chakra flow. He had total synch with his body and chakra. This was what he needed to be doing for the time being. -Post 7
Only a little while after this his eyes would open. The veins in the side of his face popping out. His Byakugan was activated, and his chakra was till rather calm. -Post 8
His breathing and chakra didn't change at all. His bodily actions not changing with the exception of his eyes being opened. He was in a trance like state as well. -Post 9
There wasn't really a way to even tell he was in a trance. His eyes normally looked like they did now anyways. His chakra remaining calm and moving in a steady flow. -Post 10
After what he thought was a decent amount of time he would let out a deep breath. His chakra flow returning to a somewhat normal rather than controlled set. He stood up and then shook his body. -Post 11
Moving over to the training dummies now at this point. It was time for a bit of strike training with his style. The style of fighting that most, if not all Hyuuga knew. -Post 12
Atteharu took his stance soon after reaching the training dummies. Taking a deep breath for a moment he'd nod. His arms would thrust forwards. -Post 13
His palms hitting the dummies each strike making a thump sound on the dummy. The sounds of it vibrating outwards around him. He continued to strike the dummy though. -Post 14
His almost seemingly never ending strikes to this dummy looked pretty intense. Each hit sounding quicker and louder every collision. He wasn't stopping so it seemed. -Post 15
After a couple more hits though he had stopped. Basic striking for this was done. He would have to move on to the next step. -Post 16
He closed his eyes once more, focusing his chakra. The flow would once more become concentrated, but this time it would escape at his ends slightly. His palms becoming shrouded in a blue aura of sorts. -Post 17
He would open his eyes and look at the dummy. Nodding his head he would take his stance once more. His arms soon after thrusting forwards once again. -Post 18
This time, the strikes made much more of an impact on the dummy. Denting it due to the release of chakra from his palms on impact. The collisions making a much louder sound than they did prior. -Post 19
Atteharu would stop finally. His training of this technique was finished, and he was tired. Looking a t the dented training dummy he was satisfied, and he would simply head out to eat or something. -Post 20

Sobagai Deba Sentou S t a g e O n e [1] Countering Technique: Upward Repel Simple :: Rank E When the enemy attack closes in, the user will repel with the knife with an upward slashing motion. This upward repel may have enough exerting force to startle or offset the enemy. As he slid the knife out of his arm holster, Samuru saw his father’s face again. Not the face when he’d been found, dead and cold, but moments before. The warmth and concern as he tended Samuru’s broken wrist. With a vicious upward slash, Samuru knocked his sparring partner off balance, the other not expecting the dazed-looking Samuru to attack so ferociously. He would avenge that warmth…it was necessary.
Offensive Technique: Assisted Jab Complex :: Rank E Channeling chakra into the wielding hand, the user will stab with the hilt of his blade. The end result is a powerful blunt jab that can wind the target if it connects correctly. He knew it was pointless to try and dwell on the past. But it helped him channel his chakra to imagine his enemy was someone more familiar. He pushed it into the hand that held the blade, Samuru’s grip steady as stone. With a swift forward step, he thrust the blade at the air and a snap of power rushed out as his chakra burst from the blade. A good solid blow….but he preferred the closeness of actually sinking the blade into someone.
Offensive Style: Knife Stances Practice :: Rank E The user becomes more accustomed to upward, downward, and sideways slashing motions. Increasing the speed in which they can be performed by a moderate margin. This was an easy enough technique, more a chance to correct and improve his handling of the knife. Samuru had picked a partner who knew how to handle a knife and together they sparred. His knife flashing and dancing as he slashed up and down, twisting the blade in midair so he could attack from the side. Horizontal, diagonal, darting cross ways. For a moment, his opponent’s knife came dangerously close to taking out his eye….but he didn’t flinch.
Offensive Style: Simple Play Practice :: Rank E With this practice, the user is able to more comfortably switch between upward, downward, and sideways slashing motions in a pinch. Again, more chance to improve his handling. Sliding from one attack to the other, Samuru refused to relent. He switched from down to sideways at the shoulder, the wooden knife cracking on his oppenent’s protective gear. Almost immediately Samuru had the knife going down then up again coming at the under arm on the left. His partner dodged but found the knife at his throat as Samuru adjusted again, dragging the knife across from the armpit to the throat.
___S t a g e T w o [2] Countering Technique: Back Repels Simple :: Rank D A hasty knife repel mainly used to confuse the enemy. After an attack has been parried upward, the user will throw his knife upward, meanwhile spinning around the enemy's side to get into position to catch the knife as it falls. There was a hiss as the knives connected, both crossed above the wielder’s heads as the two men struggled. Samuru knew he would lose this battle immediately. His partner was stronger, built bigger and had longer arms. So he used the technique he was studying and flicked his knife upward, releasing it as the other lost his balance a bit. Using it to his advantage, Samuru kicked the man’s legs out from under him as he darted around, catching the knife on the other side and swung it to the man’s throat, holding it there. It was a success but to make sure, Samuru had the man attack again. Once more, Samuru struck at his chest, throwing the knife up and darting under the man, catching the knife and pressing it firmly to his ribs. Breathing hard, Samuru smiled nonetheless, pleased with his current progress.
Trick Technique: Change of Hands Simple :: Rank D During any freestyle form of vertical or horizontal slashes, the user will perform a simple pass, switching their knife from one hand to the other. Consecutive usage can result in a massive amount of confusion and inescapable slashing barrages. Bringing the knife down, Samuru switched it to his other hand and changed his motion, bringing the knife up to knock into the other’s weapon. It worked but he didn’t have quite the grip on his knife that he wanted from switching. After a few more repeats, going up to down, left to right, one hand to another, he could do it without thinking and his speed had increased substantially. As he moved, he kept the knife in one hand, holding it tightly for a second before trying to combine his earlier technique with this one. Throwing the knife up, he moved quickly around and caught it, going with the left before suddenly switching it to his right to press the blade into the man’s cheek.
Trick Technique: Kneecap Surprise Simple :: Rank D The user will begin by performing a simple combination of horizontal slashes, often ending in [ Change of Hands. ] At any point during this chain of cuts, the user will steady their movement, and rather than continue with their previous slashes, flip and toss the knife into the opponent's leg. Often stabbing into the kneecap, or busting it with a powerful hilt impact. Still going on the Change of Hands techniques, Samuru kept his body moving and his hands darting forward, the knife moving easily now. He switched from left to right so fast the other was desperately trying to keep up and then Samuru dropped it low, aiming for the knee with the hilt of his knife. The man darted backwards and found the knife had appeared in Samuru’s right hand and was going for his throat. With a curse he moved back only to find the knife slamming into his kneecap again. The knife handle blasted into his knee cap and with a sickening crick, the cap slid out of base, making the man fall to his knees. Samuru darted back and paused to catch his breath as the man called for a medic or to go to the hospital. It seemed he’d need a new sparring partner again.
Offensive Technique: Swift Dart Complex :: Rank D Channeling chakra to his hand, then the knife, the user tosses his blade at a decently increased speed, while the chakra causes it to pierce the air- making almost no noise. This one only required a dummy for an opponent so it was easy enough for Samuru to move one into position. Standing a decent distance away, he hefted his knife smoothly, holding it at his ear as he eyed the small mark that indicated the heart on a living person. With a flick of his wrist and a surge of chakra, he sent the blade flying at the dummy. The chakra flared around the knife and the blade sunk in about 2inches, not the depth he was hoping for. Going back to it, he pulled it out and took his position again, throwing it again and again as he practiced. He repeated this without the chakra at first, simply building up the speed and accuracy of his throw. When he was satisfied with it, he started to wrap the blade in chakra, enough to coat the blade but not the handle. Waste not. As he lifted his hand back, Samuru sighed then threw. This time, the blade sunk into the wood up to the hilt and he smiled, thinking.
Trick Style: Knife Toss Practice :: Rank D The practitioner has developed a greater sense of precision- able to throw, juggle, and catch their knives by the hilt with ease. ( Only by the hilt, not the tip of the blade. ) Now this was something fun! Samuru had coated the blade in chakra to dull it so he wouldn’t slice himself up and was holding the hilt. He flipped it gently, tossing it up easily and catching it occasionally by the blade. He tried to watch the blade and guess when it would turn, adjusting his grip to fit. As he worked at it, he became more accustomed to it and started to throw it higher as he let the other knife slide out into his hand. With both knives in hand, Samuru started juggling, tossing them from one hand to the other, spinning them in the air and catching them with opposite hands. Soon he was twisting as he threw them, trying to figure out how to use this to his advantage in a fight. Surely something good could come of it….and hell, maybe if he ever had to hide, he could pretend to be a juggler on the streets.
Offensive Style: Artless Draw Practice :: Rank D The practitioner has better developed their ability to pull their blade straight from its resting place to an offensive slash. Even though he had his knives in holsters in his sleeves that slid out when he flicked his wrists, Samuru understood the need to be able to drag them free when he needed. So, for now, he slid them into his pockets and practiced, feeling a little ridiculous. But it helped….he could pull and cut at the air easily when he pulled them from his pockets. Putting them back in his sleeves, he worked on pulling them from different positions, cutting left and right, going straight up, straight down and twisting his wrist in a spin. But if he had a jacket on….Samuru put his arms back in the sleeves of a heavier jacket, adjusting his grip. At first, the blades got caught. But he quickly learned to grab the tips with his fingers, pulling them free with a twist and had them in hand to cut. It wasn’t as fast as he wanted so he kept practicing until he could get them out with minimal issues.
_S t a g e T h r e e [3] Trick Technique: Knife Punt Simple :: Rank C 4posts A very tricky yet powerful attack that can often end a fight on the spot. After dropping an enemy's defenses, often by parrying one of their attacks, the user will drop his knife. As the knife drops, the practitioner will time a kick in order to punt the knife upward- back into the opponent's exposed body. If truly successful, the knife will typically end up somewhere in the head of the enemy. Drop the knife? What was the point of that? But Samuru stood before the dummy and examined it in relation to himself. Strangely enough he could see how the technique could work and he practiced simply dropping the knife so that he wouldn’t end up slicing his own foot. As the handle aimed down with the blade up, Samuru tapped it up with his foot, knocking the knife without any real force into the dummies stomach. It stuck by the tip but he knew he’d have to give it a stronger kick to get it up into the head. Still, he tap-kicked the handle several more times before he felt successful. Now came the harder part. Keeping his eye on the knife, Samuru kicked it hard as the hilt came into position, the blade flashing as it flew. But it spun mid-way, pushed by the momentum of his kick and the hilt ended up hitting the chest. He’d need to adjust how he kicked the knife and with that in mind, he began dropping and kicking again, practicing with increasing strength to his kicks. Finally, the blade flew through the air straight and stuck firmly in the dummies face, forced in about half way. Samuru smiled to himself as he eyed the weapon before pulling it free.
Trick Technique: Dirty Reflection Simple :: Rank C 4posts Given proper conditions, the user will angle their knife as to reflect sunlight into the enemy's eyes. Although it seems like a meager act that anyone could do, this training is solely for the purpose of precision- teaching the user how to tilt their blade in such a way as to reflect a focused amount of light. Going outside for this technique, Samuru squinted up at the sun and figured that would be the best source of light. And, looking around, he saw plenty of targets. Grinning, he swung himself up into a tree and took a position close to a patch of light showing through. It was harder then it looked to adjust a knife to reflect and so he practiced with the ground first, sending a flash of light darting along the ground. Lifting it up, he put the glow right in front of the eyes of someone else below him. The person scowled and waved a hand as Samuru dipped out of sight again. Returning to his position, Samuru admired his knife for a second then started practicing again. Anyone who walked by was a target and he got away with it pretty easily. Dodging back out of sight when they looked around, he felt like a kid again…it felt nice. Smiling, he settled against the tree for a few, just relaxing. Finally getting down, he fiddled with his knife, wondering if he needed to get some new ones. His old knives were starting to get worn down from use and needing to be sharpened.
Offensive Technique: Vital Poke Complex :: Rank C 4posts The user builds up chakra in a freehand, then surges it to the fingertips of the same hand, causing a very thin and short ranged aura to form. From here, the user will attempt to poke the target in the stomach, chest, upper arm, or upper leg. If connection is properly made, the opponent will feel as though they have just been internally stabbed. Although contact at the stomach or chest causes more damage, a solid stab to the arm or leg can cripple the opponent's usage of said limb. So this is like turning your hand into a knife? Samuru examined his own hand as he thought about how to begin this technique. It wasn’t that hard but as he held his hand out he was reminded of his lack of strength with chakra control. Despite that, he focused on his hand, palm up. Holding his hand stiff, he pooled chakra into his palm and then concentrated on coating it like paint all over. It went well until he moved his hand and noticed it was blunt and not sharp. Despite that, he kept at it, holding it to his hand as he focused on it until he didn’t need to think about it. Like any good weapon, this one apparently needed sharpening. With his mind, he worked his chakra, shearing off sides and sharpening the chakra at the tip of his fingers. It was just like sharpening a knife and as he worked it, he found it kind of soothing. However he focused too much on it and the chakra fell away, forcing him to start over. At least now he had some goal in mind though. Attacking the air was his easiest mode of practice and doing so relieved energy as he struck again and again, slicing his hand through the air till he was satisfied. Once done, he released the chakra and carefully flexed his fingers.
Offensive Style: Two-fer-One Practice :: Rank C 4posts The practitioner is now accustomed to performing techniques they have mastered with either one or two knives. Eyeing the technique, Samuru sighed but figured it would be good practice. He’d start with Swift Dart using two and then find another one to test his luck on. Drawing out both knives, he started to twirl them in his hands. Throwing was totally different then handling. He cursed as he searched the underbrush for his other knife, digging through fallen leaves until he found it. Adjusting his hold, he walked back to his original position and turned, setting the chakra in both hands and then releasing the knives in a cross attack. They struck the tree (both!) finally and at relatively the same time. Now for alternating hands…he tossed them back and forth slowly then began to dart and cut the air as he switched, tossing one knife with one hand and grabbing it with the other while switching his second knife to a low blow. The other knife struck upward. It didn’t take long for him to find the rhythm he was starting to enjoy…a smooth flow of violence. His arms ached and as he knelt to catch his breath, Samuru looked at the knives in his hands. Longer and longer but he was starting to realize how strong he was becoming. It wouldn’t be long until he could easily defend himself….
___S t a g e F o u r [4] Piercing Technique: What Defense? Simple :: Rank B 6posts While assaulting a blocking enemy, the user will attempt to outreach and grasp their arm. If successful, the user will then pull in the enemy's arm, while kicking outward with incredible force. Because of the contradiction of motions, this can easily break arms or disarm the target. He’d need another spar partner for this one and so he approached a man who was resting for the moment. After getting his agreement, they set up and Samuru explained what he’d be doing and his new partner merely asked to get a thicker jacket for protection. While he armed up and set hard defense on his arms, Samuru started stretching. As they stood against each other, arms loose at their sides, Samuru motioned. The man lunged forward, arms out wide as Samuru came in hard. Grabbing the man’s arm, he twisted, pulling the arm in and kicked at his partner’s stomach. The blow was strong but the man was able to simply yank his arm out of Samuru’s grip ”You need a tighter hold. Grip it like this.” taking Samuru’s arm, he demonstrated. Taking the man’s advice, Samuru and he practiced holds and kicks first, showing him the proper way to kick out firmly. Going from standing to kicking without the need to bend his leg, a straight upward kick and then, a different type of kick that involved moving his leg close then punching out. It didn’t take too much for Samuru to pick it up and then they started sparring again. AS the man rushed again, Samuru stepped in, gripping his arm as it passed and bringing his leg up in the short kick. The blow knocked the wind out of his opponent but he didn’t go down and ended up hitting Samuru in the face with his wrist as he jerked free. Shaking the blow off, Samuru took his position again with some frustration. Now when they attacked, Samuru led the man forward, grabbing his hand and kicking full frontal in a move that surprised himself and the other. He struck the man’s hip and he went down, the older man going to his knees as Samuru quickly released the arm. He didn’t want to rip the man’s arm out. As they took positions again, Samuru felt better about his fight and now attacked openly, his foot coming up in a whisper past the other’s ear. His grip on the man’s arm would have caused his head to snap back and break his neck. Happy with his progress, he bowed to his partner, thanking him and asking for a second round as well. He had more techniques to learn and a good partner was hard to find. They both took a break beforehand though and settled down to talk a little and drink water.
Finished and prepared for his bout, Samuru decided to calmly browse about. Seeing Jun a few feet away, he moved closer to her then stopped a proper distance away "So what are the rules of the spar?" he asked, wondering if they were going to have any at all. He didn't really intend to play by the rules if there were any..."Also...mind if I grab a second weapon?"
I'm the quiet type...the quiet violent type.

When Samuru finally arrived, Jun turned and face him, taking her hands out of her pockets but still in a relaxed stance. The other wanted rules, eh? "The first one to pass out or make some sign that they give up loses. And if you try to kill, maim, or fatally wound me, I'm gonna break your neck." That seemed simple enough and it was all said in a manner that did not sound threatening. So it really was up in the air if Jun was serious or not about that last remark.
"And use any weapons you want, I don't really care." After all, her fists and legs were all the weapons she would need. Now it was time to see how much this guy had trained.

Waiting patiently for the male to return, Jun raised a brow seeing the other come back with nunchaku. Mainly a weapons user, she could already guess that from the Ramen Shop, nunchaku would be tricky to block and dodge.
Since the other was not moving, she could only assume that she would be the first to attack. She had plenty of techniques, but which once to open with and which to save?
Deciding to make a simple opening to test the waters, Jun was quick to rush forward to attack with Coiled Snake. When she was within striking distance, her next step was smaller than the rest as her body seemed to tense. Then in the next second she moved fast, twisting her hips to add power to a punch that was aiming right for Samuru's left cheek. • Coiled Snake Physical :: D The user makes a small step forward, compressing the body like a coiled snake. Rocketing his body forward while twisting his hips, the user rockets a quick punch, front hand or back hand, towards the opponent like a snake. The user usually aims for the face or torso.

The other was quick with a weapon but now she had to think of a way to deal with it, fast or she would be knocked out.
Jun took a quick step back, just enough so that the Tonfa would miss hitting her in the head. Then she'd step back in, her hand reaching out to slap the Tonfa and push it off to the side, trying to put in enough force that it would catch Samuru off balance and perhaps make him turn a bit so that she was on the outside of the arm that tried to land the blow.
Then in the next moment her hips would sink, her front leg brought up to her chest as she moved back up and her hips moved in a fashion similar to a pendulum. She delivered a front kick to Samuru's torso, followed by pushing off from the ground with her back leg to jump and deliver a jump kick with said back leg. • Bear Withdrawing, Shocking, then Following
