Mala scooted closer to Van's back, and cracked her knuckles before she began with her attempt at a massage. All the while she bit her lip, hoping that she wasn't doing too poorly.

"You know, I'd almost say you're good enough to make a job out of this, but then I'd be jealous of you touching other guys." Van half-joked as he rolled his neck slightly as Mala worked her magic. "I should have asked for this a long time ago."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Don't worry, I won't be putting this skill to use for anybody else." Mala assured Van, keeping a warm smile as she said this. "Feel free to ask whenever you need it in the future. I'll be glad to offer my services, among other things."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I think that's going to depend entirely on my ability to adapt to doing manual labor." Van joked, already starting to feel a thousand times better. "And when you put it that way, you almost make it sound like you're on my payroll." he sort of muttered, feeling a little guilty about saying something like that about his wife.

 

[M3Gnificent]

Mala raised an eyebrow after hearing Van's muttering. She stopped what she was doing and wrapped her arms loosely around his neck as she muttured in his ear, "So, how should I phrase it then?"

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I don't know, sorry..." Van said as he turned his head slightly to look at her somewhat guiltily. "Just forget I said anything."

((Almost 12 AM means bedtime for Zelly. Considering the time difference, I have no idea how you can manage to stay up so late. @_@ ))

{Eh, I wasn't born in the state I live in, even if I have lived here most my life. Instead, I was born in Hawaii. It seems I never got off of Hawaian times to begin with. XD Also, goodnight and see you later! ^.^}

Mala pouted, displeased by this. Also, being in the calm mood she was, she ignored the comment Van made earlier - even if it did have unfortunate implications.

"Gotta give me some credit. Managed to go several hundred years before I said something wrong..." Van said making a half-hearted attempt and making things better with a joke, but his nervous laugh was quick to die. "I'm sorry, I really didn't mean anything by it, you know I love you." he said putting an arm around Mala's waist. "Anything I can do to make it up to you?" he asked, somehow getting that 'I'm hurt but staying silent about it' vibe that women were so good at.

"No, nothing's wrong. I'm fine." Mala said, which was woman-speak for 'I'm pissed and the only way to fix it is to give me time and buy me expensive chocolates.' She offered a smile to cover up this hidden meaning, but knew that it wouldn't.

((I want a V emote now. Or at the very least a mask. We are now reading the V For Vendetta comic book for sci fi. And it is awesome. >D ))

"....Lies." Van said narrowing his eyes at her slightly. "You should know by now it's next to impossible to lie to me."

"No, seriously, I'm fine." Mala said, ever so stubborn as always. "Are you sure you'd want to talk about this, though? Can't we change the subject to a more pleasant one?"

"Fine, fine!" Van said holding a hand up in his defense. "I just don't want you mad at me is all. Especially when my a*****e-ishness was purely accidental."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"If I were mad, wouldn't you be in flames by now?" Mala asked, forcing up a broad smile and lightly pinching his cheek. She seemed to hold a playful attitude overall.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"True." Van said with a sweatdrop, wondering if she'd really do it if they ever had a particularly nasty lover's spat.

"Sooo....what would you rather do?" Mala asked, not sure what they should do at the moment anymore.
