Hey, guys!
I'm not a new member, technically, but have been inactive for, well, years. Life got super crazy but here I am, with two Masters degrees under my belt, multiple careers, and several states later, back on Gaia.
Right. Introduction thing.
I have been a cosplayer since 2006, though I've made costumes all my life. My cosplay library is very diverse, though lately I've been making a lot of cosplays from the Tales of games, Final Fantasy, and Saiyuki. While I have an ability to sew very well, I don't particularly enjoy working with fabric. Most of my cosplays have a strong emphasis on hard makes: armor, props, and especially special effects make up and wigs.
2019 will be my ten-year anniversary as a panelist! I'm pretty stoked on that, and have a few panels already accepted and lined up. My first panels of the year will be at SacAnime winter, the first week of January. In the past few years I've been giving panels all across the country, though finances are going to keep me a bit closer to home this year.

In other places online i go by "animecat33" I like video games, anime and comic books, and enjoy to cosplay character from all three. I cosplay both girls and guys and i like to experiment with face paint and cosplay makeup I hope to go to a convention outside of Portugal one day, London or Spain being the more possible options My favourite anime is Death Note and Dragon ball (all series), though i have many more that i enjoy greatly Hi, Rita! Hi Rita,
Crossplayers are certainly welcome here. This year is going to be my first year doing Crossplays. My current avi is female to reflect my change. On Gaia Online I have the freedom to dress my Avi up any way I want to. In the Real World I'm a guy and yes it's not an easy thing to do a Crossplay Outfit. Just ask Xinitia or my Vice Captain Kaya. They are also Crossplayers. I am a Semi Professional Cosplay Photographer. At conventions I take photos of Cosplayers and Crossplayers a like. This time I need a lot of help. That's where my wonderful Crew come into play. If you need any help with your Crossplay or Cosplay Outfits look no further. I have even asked Xinitia for help so you know they are good. Good Luck on your Cosplay / Crossplays this year and I hope that you get to go to London. Being part British I can appreciate the appeal. I live in Michigan and dream of going to other countries to go to conventions. Please take some time and post more about your Cosplay and Convention experiences. |

I'm actually a 22yo straight dude that likes crossdressing/crossplay/lolita and all that jazz but you can just call me Hannah because personal privacy lol cat_redface So uhhh, some of my favorite anime are probably Ghost Stories (English Dub), Parasyte: The Maxim, and Love Live! I'm also an avid gamer ACen is pretty much the only con I regularly attend at least currently, hopefully I'll be able to attend more eventually I'm also single, might as well throw that out there cat_whee I'm actually pretty new to crossplay and Lolita so the biggest challenge will probably be learning how to do makeup. If anyone has advice on that like palette suggestions or something it would be super appreciated I genuinely know nothing about makeup aside from basic lipstick application but want to at least get decent at it by ACen 2019
Welcome! I'm glad that you're exploring cosplay! I think that there are a few make up tutorials posted in the Tutorial section of this guild page. I've been asked to make a few tutorials on the subject, too, so I'll finally start putting that together when I get a free moment. |
