Roll response: Velia swam away from the whirlpool, the net, and the squids as hard as she could in the opposite direction. She didn't care if she was going backwards. Or at least she thought she didn't care if she was going backwards until she found her shark infested ship again. Velia started beating her head against the side of the wreck and turned around to see if she could find those mers again.

Cyllene struggled hard against the current, and finally managed to get out of it. Breathing hard, she tried to regain her stamina. Her eyes flickered around her briefly. Why... was it so bright? The light was... enticing. Beautiful. Like sunlight glinting off a pile of treasure... No. Wait. Treasure was meant to be the opposite way. Nice try, certain death. But you're no match for the great brains of this seathi. Narrowing her eyes suspiciously at the light, she turned and swam back down, deeper and deeper.

Jupiter's Refrain had kelpi blood and he could hold his breathe before...But not like now. This was different though. But he didn't have much time to ponder what any of this meant really. This wasn't just some fun excursion into the ocean, this was....life or death. He swallowed surprised still not to be swallowing the ocean and began to swim.
