Amy took the umbrella from Dec but didn't open it. She just held onto it.

She squinted up at him through the rain. "So, did you get lambasted in there, too? No, let me guess. You got off with a small warning and everyone is just peachy keen with you in there."

*forces a weak smile as he looks up at Dame and nods*

*as Tes yells at him, he tries his hardest to hold back from crying*
I.... I did not believe you would ever be with me. Even now, it is difficult to be certain if you really want to be with me or if you just feel that you have no other option...

Oh no, trust me it took all of my diplomatic skill to avoid a big nasty fight in there. I truely think TES was about to start a fist-fight. -sigh- I guess I'm welcome back but I'm pretty uncomfortable now. I mean don't show up for several months and a crush get married! -rubs his forehead- I feel so stupid.

Amy laughed hollowly and nodded. "Join the club. If it wasn't raining outside, I'd suggest you take a seat. It's pretty wet out here, though."

"I kissed the other guy, Tes, after he stripped me down to my undergarments in the bar. It was my first night here and I thought Tes was gay after he told me he was married to Ryzan. He got so upset and kept telling me that he wasn't gay, so I finally told him to prove it. He then told me to get naked. I didn't know how me getting naked would prove he wasn't gay, but he said it was the way a man looked at a naked woman that would prove he wasn't gay. Not believing him, I suggested that he take off my clothes instead of doing it myself."

Amy sighed but continued. "I only got down to my underwear before Tes had a nosebleed and I stopped everything. *I* stopped it. Then, before I left, I kissed Tes out of anger and walked out. And now THEY.."

She gestured to the bar's entrance to indicate most of the people who frequented the bar, "blame it all on me and hold a grudge against me! Well, it's mainly Icy that does, but it's so hypocritical! I know that you didn't know Ryzan and Tes were married, but in my mind, they weren't either! Tes just told me it was a marriage of convenience, and like an idiot, I believed him. But no, because I'm 'young' and a girl, I get judged differently than you do."

-Dec thinks for a second.- Well it is certainly possible, but have considered that their anger might not be directed at you because you were a girl but because of whom you were kissing. I am pretty sure if I had kissed TES, the girls would have been just as pissed at me as they were at you.

The MW women all like Ryzan because he is sweet and cuddly. When you kissed his man, he probably got angry but vulnerable-like. So all the girls stepped up to defend him.

You saw how they all backed him tonight. They just dont have as fierce a protective instinct towards TES.

*clenches his teeth and yanks Ryzan over by his cravat*
Do you have any freakin' idea how difficult a decision this was for me? stressed I wouldn't give a s**t about who you thought about in your spare time if I was only with you for the sake of having someone.

Amy thought about it, never having thought of that possibility before, and then sighed as she nodded her head.

"You... you might be right. I still think it sucks, though. Because Tes and I are somewhat tough and can defend ourselves, people feel as if they can treat us differently, more harshly? I agree, Ryzan is a sweetheart, but that does not mean that he should get off scott free for what happened tonight."

She sighed again and rested her head back against the wall. When the rain got in her eyes again, she winced and quickly tilted her head back down. She groaned in frustration.

"And to top it all off, the only other guy I even start to halfway like turns out to be an escort."

She gestured to Dec to indicate that she was talking about him now. "And, according to some, he would hit on anything that moved. So not only did I end up liking another guy who has commitment issues, but I let myself like the kiss he gave me when he obviously would have kissed anybody."

*gasps and drops the grunny when he's suddenly pulled over, almost out of his seat, by Tes. Seeing the anger in Tes' expression, he cannot hold back his tears any longer*

-Dec chuckled and shook his head- Now you are just fishing love. -wink-

But I'll bite. First off, the escort thing. Just means I'm an awesome date. I don't sleep with my clients. So any sexual knowhow I may have displayed was learned through my own personal experience.

Second. -he leans in close to whisper- I played up how much I flirt just now. If I had told TES that I like flirting with woman and men, but usually only get physical if I find them very attractive, I would have gotten my face smashed in. If I had announced that I spent three long wonderful years in a committed relationship, have spent the last year flailing about through rebound relationships trying to find a new solid partner, and that Ryzan was the closest to such a partner I had found: I'd be missing all my teeth and be knocked out. Although I flatter myself to think that TES would be a bit bruised up too.

-He straightened and stretched- Dipolmacy isn't about lying. It's about exageration and misdirection. -wink- So don't take things so hard sweetheart.

Amy's eyes were wide by the time Dec was done. He had either just complimented her or led her around a mind-maze, hoping to confuse her enough that she'd drop everything. Eh. Either way, it got her to smile a little.

A small smile played at the corner of her lips and she couldn't stop the soft chuckle that escape her mouth.

"Well, I have to admit that it's one of the better things I've heard today. And at least you said nothing about my age because I swear, if one more person comments about how 'young' I am, I'm going to lose it even more."

Still smiling slightly, she finally stood up and faced Dec completely. Sure she was drenched, but at least she was standing now.

"You know, I'm usually not like this. It's just been a very long day. I would go into all that's happened to lead to this, but that would just bore you. I'm actually usually more like the person you met earlier today, before I started making the drinks."

She laughed softly again.

*eye twitches as Ryzan starts to cry* Xsa stressed *lets go of his cravat and digs out a handkerchief, removing Ryzan's glasses to wipe his eyes* Just... just stop...

*looks around and groans, pulling his chair closer to Ryzan's*
Listen... I wouldn't have told you that I had feelings for you if I didn't mean it. You know that. I don't throw the word "love" around so carelessly.

*puts Ryzan's glasses back on and hold his chin up, making sure he doesn't try to look away*
And if you're expecting me to faithful to you in both mind and body, the least you could do is give me the same courtesy.

-he shrugged- Ah, its no big. We all have bad days. Just gotta believe tomorrow will be better. I know I've had a long day. -stretches and yawns- I should probably be heading back to my appartment. -He starts to walk off but turns back.-

Do me a favor will you? There is one last bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates in on the bar. I was bringing them for Ryzan but that plan is blown all to hell now. -he smiles softly- Would you see to it that those presents go home with a attractive woman whose had a hard day. Flowers and chocolates should have homes with owners who deserve them.
