So don't let me don't let me down.

Thanatos slowly walked into the Raikages tower, maybe it wasn't to good of an idea to come back and see about his mission. He was sure the Raikage would get him his mission soon enough. But upon entering he could hear some noise. Crackling lightning and thuds. He quickened his pace towards the noise just in time to see the Raikage raise his blade towards a fellow shinobi. His eye widened in surprise and confustion. He seemed well intent on striking the boy down. But something seemed fairly off about the Raikages state. He seemed a bit out of control of himself. Though he began to drift into the thinking of how hypocritical the Raikage is after spouting such lofty ideals of non killing, only to then execute a shinboi in the middle of her towers lobby. If this was Kinpaku he would have interfered, but maybe this was no longer the Kumogakure he cared for. The one he would laid down his life for...the one his brother died for. He was no longer in a position inside the village, he felt like an outsider looking in. He would simply stand and watch, his heart screamed at him to jump in and stop this. But his mind silenced it with Apprehensiveness and distrust

-----{ K }aileer's answer was not quite what the giant had expected, yet clearly it showed that he was willing to try. Hope, for the moment, was restored to an otherwise emotionally defeated human being. Many thought that a family, compassion, emotions, even pain were the greatest weakness a man could ever face, but that was sheer nonsense brought on by melodramatic individuals who knew nothing of the truth depths a mind can sink to. No, when the way forward was paved in absolute death, when defeat is the only foreseeable option, true despair settles into one's bones and soul. Moving, fighting, became pointless, and in the end it becomes you, not the enemy, that had defeated any form of defense before it could ever be mustered. Seeing that look in Kaileer's eyes before when he stormed away, Wanryoku knew that he was looking at that black abyss, and considering surrendering himself unto it. A poetic, and some might argue, justified end to Kaileer as a human being, let alone as a shinobi of Kumogakure no Sato. To see that spark lit once more, no matter how dimly so, meant that at least for the moment Kaileer had decided to step back, and return to this side of existing.
-----As was fair, for the village itself and his time here had saved Wanryoku from a similar fate.
-----When the commotion from within grew to a fevered pitch and the sound of screams echoed out from the stone walls the Konin looked up with relative calm. When Kaileer bolted for the doors Wanryoku continued sitting, instead relaxing into the seat he had made and casting his gaze back out over the village. Trust in one's leadership had been one of the keys to his anger, and Kaileer's, at the Genin of the village, who always assumed the right to know things and question instead of obey. There were times for questioning ones' orders, as Wanryoku would be the first to admit, but to question continually showed that either the questioner viewed them as incapable, which would be nothing short of insulting, or that they believed they were better suited to give orders. Neither proved well for the trust leadership put to them. How can someone in authority trust someone below them to do their jobs without baby sitters if they couldn't do anything without deciding their own opinions were more important than the orders received? Why was it so difficult to understand that trust, and respect, had to be earned from the ground up? This was what held Wanryoku in place, and relaxed, for he trusted that if the situation demanded it Kaileer would call for him. Until then, better to relax and enjoy some peace before the chaos to come.
-----Before Wanryoku would need to return to a place he had hoped to forever bury.
-----Kaileer had left too quit for Wanryoku to answer his question. In the time coming here, the giant had noticed that genin, who were purported to be trained in survival and fighting enough to be adequately prepared for life in general, were more often proving such beliefs to be false than should have been possible. Having never gone through the academy himself, Wanryoku had no way of determining if it was the lack of merit in the education system that caused so many to lack basic survival instincts, let alone common sense, but it painted a disturbing picture. Raised in the mountains, they acted not like the shinobi they were meant to be but children barely more adept at surviving than a toddler, which, while terrible, wouldn't be so bad were they not hell bent on claiming adulthood. From a young age, Wanryoku's father had insisted survival in the wilderness, against the most ancient and natural of a human's foes, was required for anyone who claimed to know warfare. The mountains of his home were numerous and large, with pits and valleys that would shatter the preconceptions of every single person in Kumogakure. A true mountain culture, and one based on personal struggle, every single soldier they faced would be a prodigal student of the oldest teacher: Nature Herself
-----Which meant, simply, that someone needed to teach the Genin, and others, their largest advantage yet.
-----They lived in these mountains. Wan's people did not.
-----With strict training of the survival kind, to relearn just how powerful and dangerous one can be without having access to Chakra, what his people called "magic". Yet returning to that kind of training would require him to call back on a past, a lifestyle, he had fought for years to overcome. Simply put, Wan just didn't know if he could do it without losing himself forever.
-----Such concerns and thoughts faded rapidly as the sounds of blades upon blades rang out from within the tower, giving Wanryoku a cause for concern. If Kaileer was fighting it meant either someone was attacking or he was teaching a lesson. Given the flood of people still escaping the tower he voted for the former. Sighing, getting to his feet, the giant reconsidered the choice of leaving Zangai at the dojo for the upteenth time. The weapon made travel difficult, though not in the ways others would suspect. Wielding a weapon of such size and power meant whenever he fought it would be with a force to level buildings and villages. Since he was within his home such combat would be pointless to outright wrong, depending on how you looked at it.
-----These thoughts stilled the instant he ducked into the office doors, and witnessed Kaileer's blade etching down the stone of the wall, a final clang ringing out as the blade barely missed cleaving Axel in twain.
-----Time stopped as the giant reached out for the dust erupting from the strike Kaileer had utilized as his body burst into motion. A simple technique, one that allowed all of his strength to be used to launch himself in a blur of motion. As he moved between Axel and Kaileer, as the blade was raised for one last killing blow, the dust coalesced around Wanryoku's right arm from the fingertips to the shoulder in a spiky, stone armor. With all of his might Wanryoku brought his right hand up and onto the blade, catching the strike and locking all of his muscles into a powerful lattice of defense. Even so, his left hand snapped out and swallowed Kaileer's other arm where another blade was being made ready, a similar method of strength locked the arm in place, immovable unless Kaileer found a way to overwhelm Wanryoku's sheer might.
-----Instantly black and silver energy burst from his pores twisting as angry, flailing energy as his chakra manifested from the amount of stamina he was burning away. Anger and panic, fury and pain, for he knew without a doubt that Kaileer had every murdering Axel in cold blood. The blankness in his face, the ice in his eyes, it was an anger Wanryoku had seen only a few times before, and none in good situations. Given the others standing around, their lack of support, it was obvious that whatever this was meant to be had likely been a punishment, and had now moved to an execution.
              -----It was unacceptable.
-----Kaileer would never do this! He would never be like Ragnos!
-----There was no room for error in Wanryoku's movements, but it had cost him dearly. The impact of Kaileer's weapon's edge against the stone jutsu upon his hand shattered the stone and cleaved into Wanryoku's hand. The force shattered every bone in his arm, and blood fountained from wounds caused by the force within his arm ruptured his skin outwards. Pain like few he had felt before coursed through him, yet still he did not give, did not bend, did not move, holding Kaileer in a grip he wouldn't escape from. Silver eyes stared into Kaileer's with an emotion Kaileer would likely recognize as the same within him: fury, black and ugly. Yet where Kaileer's was icier than the depths of the coldest wastes Wanryoku's was the molten heart at the orb burning in the heavens. Rage for rage, fury for fury, Wanryoku stared down Kaileer as his Chakra manifestation raged about him, outlining his body in a mass of black that made him resemble the Oni of legend: a demon. Finally, he spoke with a voice that made in no uncertain terms that Wanryoku wasn't going to back down.
              -----"Put. It. Down."

"I am the sword in the Darkness...

Beautiful. That was the first and only word that came on to Axel’s mind as he laid on the ground, facing up to Kaileer. The man’s blade had hit him as a thousand waves crashing against his own and had sent him flying, and eventually crashing, against the wall. This had been where he intended to end up, but hopefully with a wounded Kaileer, both in body and mind. His counterattack wasn’t just a measure to wound the man’s body, but his pride. By wounding his pride, his will to fight would falter, or so Axel had hoped, but now, the only fill to fight that was fleeing was his own. He continued to mimic Kaileers breathing even then, hoping that, by some miracle, he would be able to stand in time to evade the incoming maelstrom that was the Lightning Lord of Kumogakure, at the same time, he knew the man would not kill him. Axel didn’t know anything about Kaileer as a person, or as a leader, but he banked on the fact that he would be a man of mercy, that he would recognize that Axel was beaten and that there was no point in continuing this battle. That’s all Axel wanted. A moment of hesitation, it might be enough to actually end this fight in a somewhat favorable way for him. As Kaileer approached, Axel brought his hands together, clasping all of his fingers together. “Lord Jashin, give me strength. Give me clarity.” He recited a short, faux prayer. His order of jashinists did not pray, at least, not normally. In this case, the action of prayer hid his true intentions, the ram seal. As his hands came together, the Iron Sand that he had created when the battle first began, not the one blunting Kaileer’s blade, but the one that was now behind him from when Axel scattered it all into dust, began to come together, forming about a dozen inch long spikes. “Looks like you finally got serious.” He jested with a pained smile. The Raikage might beat his body, but he would not beat his mind.

That smile faded as he turned his head instinctively to the side, the loud sound and force of the impact of the blunted weapon on the made him flinch. The small debris that jumped from the impact struck Axel on the head, making him wince in pain. What was his problem? That would have done some serious damage if he had not missed. His message of intolerance to disobedience and insubordination was received loud and clear. But then Axel noticed something different. Something… was coming. A slight change in Kaileer’s body and breathing signaled him that there was a second attack coming after the recovery from the first. It was then that he realized, that while all this time Axel thought that this was Kaileer trying to make a point, the Raikage did in fact mean to kill him all along. Him. The man that risked his life for people of a city that were not even his not once, but twice, during the attack of the ice creatures. He had no problem with death. This was not like the instance with Shukenja and Soraru in the mountains. Here, he would die on his own terms, fighting not some feeble spy or invader, but a man that had won the right to take his head in fair combat. ‘I deserve this.’ The thought came unbidden, but the truth behind it stung more than any single blow that the Raikage had managed to land on him. ‘But like hell am I going to go down alone.’ He would not give Kaileer the honor of a clean victory, his pride would never allow for that to be so. As his strike began, Axel pulled back on his left hand, causing the inch-long spikes he had created not long before to rip through the air, flying straight at Kaileer’s back. It wouldn’t be enough to kill him, not unless the medics were pure idiots, but it would be enough to cause some serious damage, if they should hit.

Then something unexpected happen. A current of air so powerful came that it caused Axel to look away. A massive body had come between them and grabbed Kaileer, stopping his attack in its tracks. As a response, Axel stopped his own attack with a flick of his hands, causing the spikes to remain stationary, although he could not tell quite how far away they were from Kaileer from here, because the massive body, that could only belong to Wan, was now in the way. The alternative though, for this body not belonging to Wan was a fate much darker than death. The only feasible alternative was that the giants that he had been tasked to survey, perhaps days before, had broken into the village whilst the Raikage and him had been battling. If these were indeed the giants, Kaileer would at least be phased by his fight with Axel and would not be in the best form to fight, Axel himself would not be in any shape to mount any form of resistance that would surpass laughable at this point. Still, that blond hair that bordered a bright platinum color was unmistakable at this point. Wan had saved the Chunin twice in less than a month. There was something souring about this save though, the first time he had been saved from his own inadequacies and overall weakness, he was inexperienced, and did not have the chance to fight back against not one, but three vastly stronger opponents. This wasn’t the same. Here, the man had stepped between his death a second time, against an opponent that was leagues, if not light years, in front of Axel in skill, but one that, if only for a moment, the young samurai had managed to hold his ground against. He had won the right to die at the hands of a much stronger opponent, and Wan had stolen it from him. A part of him deep down resented the man for this; it was a warrior’s dream to die at the hands of a much more capable warrior, and a great honor to die at the hands of one as great as Kaileer had proven himself to be, but at the same time, he knew that he had not reached his potential, and from this day forward, whatever became of Axel, whoever he would become, would all be thanks to the giant of the clouds.

As soon as I answered the girls question, I see Kaileer flash past and what appears to be the wall exploding. The redhead is on the ground, the girl that asked me the silly question is just standing there offering to heal people. Then I notice what appears to be black sand, probably Iron Sand, forming into spikes by the redhead.s**t. Kaileer's back is turned for the moment. This might be bad. Before I know what I'm doing, my hands are forming the seals, and I have my extra set of arms. Then I feel the blades forming in my hands.

Bang. Suddenly there is a MASSIVE figure in the middle of the combat field, catching the now attacking Kaileer. By the figure, it can only be the legendary Giant of Kumogakure, Wanryoku. He has stopped Kaileers attack in its tracks, which is no small feat from what I can tell.

I see another flicker of movement as the spikes stop moving through the space. I jump before I have realized what I'm doing and have the 2 shadow blades in the space over the redheads arms. "I wouldn't do that. I don't know what's happening, and I know I said I'd help you, and from what I can tell, stopping you now is helping. Don't do anything that will make Lord Raikage ACTUALLY kill you. I'd hate to see a fellow Cloud Nin killed on my first day on the job."

I hold my blades, ready to try to stop the redhead, should he do something stupid. I glance at Lord Wan, hoping this is the end of the fight. And then I sigh. How did this happen? I was supposed to be picking up my reward for my first mission, but now I've asked a foreign Nin to be my sensei, jumped into combat to protect a fellow nin, raised my blade against the Raikage, hid like a coward, and now I had weapons raised on the same nin I'd originally tried to help. How had this happened? I sigh and return to reality, keeping my eyes on the redhead.

R A I K A G E B U K I J U T S U - B L O O D L I N E H A K E M O T O

I'm breakable, unbreakable. I'm shaking yet unshakable.

[x] Blind, uncontrollable fury. Is this what everything I'd done amounted to?

He was standing between us, dulled blade digging into flesh from the sheer force behind it. Blood leaked freely from wounds opened up along the length of his massive arm, but his other hand held me in place, trembling in rage and breathing labored. I could just barely see my red-headed target past him, and the score I'd dug only inches from his head in the stone wall. His eyes bore a myriad of emotions, among them shock and disappointment standing out above the rest. Disappointment in what? asked the small voice of reason in the back of my mind. In his loss or in me?

Put. It. Down.

My gaze shifted away from Axel and up to Wan, towering over me. His expression was pained but firm. After all, he'd stopped a full force attack with his bare hand. I snarled at him, possibly the only one in the village foolish enough to challenge him in such a way. "Get out of my way!" I spat through clenched teeth. Another layer of chakra, green this time, rippled across my skin, erupting outward from me in what I knew to be my chakra manifestation to counter the giant's own demonic presence. Mine was instead the form of a tree in full bloom as was representative of my mind when I was focused. Centered. The requirement for using the States when I could manage to rein in the maelstrom enough to even attempt them. But it was faltering as I fought internally with my sense of reason.

He wasn't going to move.

I tried pushing forward but trapped by Wan's massive strength, I couldn't find any of my own to go through with the task. I lowered my gaze, squeezing shut my eyes as I grasped for control of myself. What the hell was I doing? I could feel the prying eyes of others around us, having just witnessed everything that occurred. I was making a fool out of myself and risking the life of not just Axel but anyone who happened to be caught in the crossfire. Like Wan had because of my temper. This never should have happened. This never should have happened.

Slowly, I released my death grip on the hilt of the uchigatana, which in turn made Wan's hold on me relax until the sword fell the floor between us, ringing in the silence before it shattered from the sudden lack of pressure. The combined ferocity of my attack and the force of Wan's will destroyed the blade. The electricity within it fizzled out not a moment later. My chakra lost its balance and whirled about me as normal once again before fading away altogether along with the State of the Beast. I didn't move once the giant let me go, my gaze fixed on the remains of my weapon, too ashamed to look at my friend. My anger still seethed within me, but it no longer overwhelmed my senses, and my labored breathing steadily calmed. Even that was dulling into a painful apathy as I was overcome with exhaustion.

Finally, my eyes turned back to Axel, crouching behind Wan, if only for a glance before I was forced to look away again. "Get out." The words were said bluntly and with no emotion. "You have twenty-four hours. Have your injuries checked, gather whatever supplies you need, and get out." Taking a step back, I turned with the intention of leaving, and came face to face with a long iron spike. In fact, there had to have been at least a dozen of them. If I'd continued, they would have hit me. It's entirely possible I would have lost my own life thanks to my tunnel vision, should they have found my heart, neck, head... almost anywhere really. The human body truly was a fragile thing.

I stepped around them and headed out of the lobby without another word. There was nothing else to be said, not after that display. If my name wasn't already smeared it definitely was now. A small part of me, perhaps the wounded part of my pride in denial, didn't care. But if I had any intention staying in this village, its shinobi weren't going to experience the me they'd known until that point. For better or worse I had to change my outlook, because in the end I was no stronger now than when I first took the headband from Kinpaku's desk. I could have all the power in the world, but it meant nothing if I couldn't even learn to control myself.

While in this state, the Hakemoto abandons their basic teachings and resorts to their feral instincts in order to achieve a goal they'd typically be incapable of. Their physical strength, speed, reflexes, and senses are all increased moderately. Although there are two, the main downside to this state is that it uses up two trance points every post, rather than one. The other downside being that techniques that require chakra to use, require an additional [5] chakra to perform. Because of its methods, this state is often frowned upon by most members of the Hakemoto clan.

"Things seemed to have taken a turn into dire straits." The events that preceded the comment a giant mans bleeding limbs, ruptured walls, and a boy who prayed towards the lord of darkness essentially. It was duty that granted Nakicho this knowledge. Religion, culture, geography, art. He had to familiarize himself with all of these subjects so as not to embarrass the lady who once held dominion over him during the time he spent in servitude. With a gallant stride and step as the Raikage took his leave he looked to the secretary who had only just now returned most likely who kept to the corners as to not get caught in the crossfire. "I believe you'll relay the results of the leafs request on my behalf. You've all the information and a means to contact the new enacting Hokage. I'm sure you'll find that the Scroll communication jutsu will prove viable." With gallant steps he'd pass the giant and the redhead undoubtedly still trying to gather his thoughts only to stop briefly and look back. With but a few remarks and folded arms he made it audible to the giant and the boy.

"I've no pity for a person who believes that the lives of others are mere extensions to his own. Of course you don't seem the type who favors being pitied are you?" Nakicho's gaze then returned fixating back on the exit. "Ahahaha, but I digress. Giant. Do be aware. You've saved the life of a man whose religious practice is solely to take them. Should it come to that. Well, I hope you take that responsibility. I've little doubt that you won't after that incredible display. I'll be taking my leave then." Nakicho begrudgingly being followed by the Anbu who carried his weapon strode off with a distinguishing poise as his scarf fluttered behind him. The village of the clouds...twas certainly not a place to make an enemy of when it harbors a giant and a temperamental Kage. He would only stop once more before the maid who seemed to still be in a statuesque state waiting for a response in an awkward left hanging way. She would once again feel the same hands as before. "If you happen to visit the Leaf and are in need of guide my lady. Simply cry out the name Nakicho and I'll be by your side post haste." hand now being let go as suddenly as they were grasped the white haired man continued onward. His headband upon his shoulder would flash all but briefly in the glint of the light before he was gone towards the gates. He would produce one of two auras about him in doing so. Either he was a 'pretty cool dude' or 'what a weirdo'.

However upon attacks self inflicted or otherwise it absorbs the blood of the injured location eventually until the blade grows red. Upon becoming red the blade becomes entirely serrated making injuries susceptible to cause hemorrhaging and muscle tearing. It takes a blood draw from the base of the blade to the tip before becoming red. This can be executed by the user as if performing a blood summoning by running a finger from the end to tip or causing a significant enough wound on the opponent. When red the blade can null jutsu one rank lower than the corresponding styles Rank. Up to 3 times before a new blood draw is required. Each Blood Draw costs 20 Stamina and 20 Chakra if self inflicted.

Xion raised a clenched hand to her lips in question. If she had heard correctly, then this situation was much worse than she had thought. The, to Xion, literal elephant in the room had suddenly teleported to within the vicinity of the two fighters. She felt also the boy besides her rush in that direction. There was stillness broken only by a series of orders filled with barely contained emotion. The footsteps of someone leaving was the only cue Xion needed to believe everything really was over.

However, Xion didn't know what to do. At this point, even she recognized that this was no ordinary matter or anything as light as a spar. She faintly smelled the stench of blood, and at this distance, that meant there was more of it than was justified if this was a simple scuffle. She was but an outsider and she recognized that the situation in front of her possibly required a level of delicacy she did not have. Heck, she wasn't even sure who it was that left. Words suggested it had been the kumo nin but the rhythm of the foot falls did not sound like they belonged to someone who was just very nearly killed.

As she thought, another set of footsteps faded into nothingness. These were definitely Nachos'. They sounded bouncy. Plus, he all but announced his leave. She did not resist having her hands grabbed but did not seem very responsive either. Nachos probably didn't notice but about the only reply she gave was a single nod. Then he left. Xion imagined he had come in with a similar showy attitude that had little care for how others reacted to his unique presence.

For the moment, the only thing Xion did was step out from behind the receptionist's desk. The danger appeared to be over for now, save for anything that might have been scattered by the fight. She didn't worry about any of that, though. Her trusty cane, which swept across the ground as she walked, would alert her of any unexpected obstacles that might be in her way. To those who didn't know her, she appeared unaffected by everything that had just happened. In her opinion, she was showing plenty respect by doing the absolute minimum. She was accustomed to anything more being called out as inappropriate.

"I am the sword in the Darkness...

He struggled to get up from the ground once Kaileer began to walk out. There was no use in protesting the order, he had lost the right to do so from the very beginning of this fight. He never stood a chance, Kaileer’s last maneuver proved as much to him, all this time the man must have been toying with Axel, slowly revving up his power until he could finish the fight with a couple of strokes, meanwhile Axel had been fighting at his 100% from the very beginning. Being unable to get up, he crawled out from behind Wan and remained there for a minute to catch his breath. Then, he got up, slowly, using the wall as an aid in his endeavor. Once he had stood up, he walked toward his sword, Ice Vein, that had been knocked away by the Raikage’s defense; the one that felt like he had just been hit by a massive wave, the one that essentially sealed away whatever slim chance of a clean victory Axel possessed. He sheathed Ice Vein and looked around to find that the white haired Konoha shinobi had spoken about his faith. While that was true for most Jashinists, that wasn’t exactly true for Axel nor for his family. Generations ago a family member had adopted a new form of the religion, where one did not just kill in the name of Jashin, but one’s life was given in his service, every action and every breath. He opened his mouth to protest, but felt neither the energy nor the will to do so. Next, he turned to the kid that now had shadow blades on his hands. He walked over to him and covered the kid’s body away from Wan’s view. “Put those away.” He whispered feebly to the Nara boy.

Finally, Axel made his way slowly to Wan. As he did, he used his left hand to undo the headband that was on his right; the one Hakanai had tied on to him when they first met. “I know I am not in any positions to make requests, but, I would like for you to give this to Hakanai. And tell her I’m sorry. I also know that village policy is to hunt down those that are banished… I would beg for you to give me 48 hours to reach my family in the Storm Mountains. To say my goodbyes. There will be no point in my putting up a fight against my eventual pursuers; it’s abundantly clear that I wouldn’t win.” He bowed before Wanryoku, and then turned away, heading to the village gates to leave at once.

Liori Quin Mundo ll Elemental Duel Wielding ♥ Blood Knight ll Doton and Katon ll Kumogakure Genin ll Bakuton - Mending Mouths

Liori spotted a vaguely familiar face as she walked to the tower, the boy looking to be in a hurry. A boy with a mop of thick red hair. She yawned and made a small wave to the passing form of the boy, he did not look like life was handing him any favors. Guy looked worse off than she did, and in her eyes that was saying something. Maybe she'd talk to him stop him and see what was the matter, likely not though its not like she knew him well enough to want to listen to his woes. Walking up to the front door of the building she noticed something was off. Her less than fully functioning mind unable to suss it out, that was until she opening said door. The lobby of the Raikage's tower was an absolute s**t show. Stepping in next to the man with silver hair as she took in the sight around her. The giant man looked like he was thrown through the ringer if his hand was any proof. 'Who the hell- no how the hell did that hap-' She was cut off by the sight of people presumably cowering behind the over turned receptionists desk. A young man and a woman dressed as a maid in the place her beloved receptionist should have been sitting. 'I should have stayed at the academy...' She thought in defeat as her headache began ringing louder at her new found annoyance. Running her hand through her knotted locks of white hair she looked over at the giant, Wan? Wondering if she should ask him just what the hell was going on, but it wasn't her place. The danger didn't seem to be present anymore, and she had no reason to doubt the towering man capable of taking care of his hand himself.

Rubbing her bandaged arm subconsciously she started moving her eyes around the room to look at the damage rather than the people. It was like a lightning storm had manifested within the room. Dull golden eyes spotted the familiar locks of dark brown that she associated with the towers receptionist. Making her way to the woman with haste she past by the two people she didn't recognize, skidding to a halt in front of the secretary she put on a cheesy smile. "Never fear ma'am, your knight in shining armor has arrived. Just as promised. Though I seem to be a bit late... Maybe we should get some kind of bell system." She said with a tired laugh, shrugging her shoulders in hopeless defeat. Part of her wanted to know what had happened but knew better than to grill someone who looked so haggard, whatever happened was clearly the event of the week. Asking to leave the village to train was going to have to wait, more pressing matters were at hand. It was her job to help out the villagers. And such as the beautiful maiden counted, she was definitely doing this because she was a Genin... no ulterior motives to speak of. None what-so-ever, honest. Staring the woman in the eyes she put on a more serious face. "Are you alright?" The ringing in her head dulling as her focus was finally training on something else.

The Raikage left, after banishing the Red head. The Flamboyant Leaf Nin left. And the Red head got up. “Put those away.” he told me. I rise and look at him as he walks toward Wan. I over hear their conversation and I gather that he's not going to do anything else. I release my jutsu and the shadowy arms and blades fade away as I notice the secretary had come back. I dash over there to collect my rewards before I forget, only to have someone dash past me.

I watch the figure run over and flirt with the secretary. I stop in my tracks and watch this. After the secretary has confirmed that she is alright, I jump in quickly. "Excuse me, Can I just grab my reward real quick?"

The secretary glances at me and remembers who I am. "Oh yes, of course. Here you go!" She hands me an envelope then goes back looking at the lady who had run by me.

I pocket the envelope and turn around, not wanting to interfere with the love sparks going on behind me. I notice Wan has an arm hanging a little and blood was gushing from it. s**t. I don't know anything about healing people beyond the basics of first aid. After making a mental note to have my dad teach me some basics, I look around to see if there is anything that I can use. I see the other girl, the one in the maid outfit and I remember what she had said a minute ago, asking if anyone needs healing. Approaching her, I say "Hey, you said you could help tend wounds, right? Cause Wan could use a hand. He seems to have broken his arm pretty badly by jumping into the brawl that just happened. Think you can help?" I cross my fingers, hoping that this maid, as she appears, has some medical ninjutsu knowledge. Damn, I need to have my dad teach me some medical ninjutsu and soon.

A broken arm and a rather large amount of blood loss judging from the pitter patter sound of thick liquid falling to the ground and, of course, the smell. "Hm… Nope," Xion answered with brutal honesty. However, she still moved towards the injured giant mass, now all alone. Her walking cane clicked and swept in front of her, helping her pick her way through the changed terrain. Right now wasn't the time to bother the receptionist, who was already being bothered by another anyways, about joining the village. Even Xion could see how asking to join just as someone was banished could be considered in bad taste, so now she had to find something else to do. "Excuse me," she offered to the giant once she reached him, "You'll be needing a hospital, sir, and pretty soon, too. It'll be bad to do anything to your arm without a doctor's permission, even just bandaging it up to stop the blood, but I can use the cleanse technique on it for you before you leave. That way we reduce the chance of infection." She still didn't think she was speaking to a human. However, if this creature could speak, than it was intelligent and he had done something very worthy of respect.

User Image "We say tonight, no going baaack~ Nothing seems right, stuck in the past~ Toomawari mo yorimichi mo...subete no koto ni imi ga atte~! Karamawari mo, sono itami mo...When am I, when am I gonna stop this dreaming? When I was king. " Soraru sang aloud as he approached the Raikage's tower, blissfully unaware of whatever had happened inside. He headed straight from the gate to his apartment to shrug off some armor and gear before putting his path to the structure atop the largest mountain. He kept on the bulky, round-collar, hooded black shirt and dark harem pants. The black paper jewelry around his neck and wrists in diamond patterns also remained, as he found himself quite liking how they looked. Also, of course, he kept his swords at his hips, left hand gently resting over the hilt of Reito Kumo as he walked on, so he could adjust it if people attempted to walk in a way that the weapon would obstruct them. His eyes glowed a bright aquamarine blue as his chakra coursed through the iris, the state of meditation still active, adding a touch of uniqueness to his appearance. "Don't wanna go, I'm holding on tight~ Something to live for, making our night. Watashi wa ōdatta toki, ōdatta toki, subete no mono o motte imashita~" He continued his little tune, not bothering to keep his voice down very low, since most the people around the village had heard the "singing samurai" by that point, through either his nighttime performances, shows at the The Mountain Clover, or simply from his walking around. If he felt someone's discomfort with his singing, he'd lower it to a hum, but for the most part others found the same soothing nature that he did when he got to express his voice a bit.

His voice did, however, lower to a hum as he approached the entrance to the Raikage's tower, not wanting to bother the receptionist if she was busy. Before he could get to the door, it pushed open, Kaileer being the one to walk out. Soraru wanted to open his mouth and speak, but...something held his tongue, like there was an electricity in the air which locked his jaw shut and stilled him for a moment. That stillness remained, and he stood like that until the Raikage had passed a few feet, not bothering to turn around to look at the younger leader walking away. Exhaling out slowly, he realized that he'd been holding his breath the entire time as well. "Mattaku...so intense, guess I came at a bad ti-" He started off quite whimsically while walking through the open doors, with an almost playful demeanor, his voice only catching in his throat when he saw the state of the lobby. Iron sand strewn about the floor carelessly, as if swept around by constant movement. Somewhere along the line blood mixed in with the dark sand, plenty of it, leading to the view of the giant Wanryoku standing with a mangled arm. It looked as if some kind of pressure caused it to implode rather than as if it suffered any exterior damage. A fairly disturbing sight, but not nearly as dreadful as the one who seemed to be treating it. Silvery grey hair, red eyes. Three years hadn't changed the girl much, while he'd grown much taller and stronger. He'd know if there were any major differences on her, as he'd known her since he was an infant. While she wasn't much of a caretaker, given that she was still a child herself at the time, she was a servant for a family and eventually someone who became his retainer.

Any comfort at seeing her again was washed over by the worry of her reasoning for entering Kumogakure. Did his father send her under the presumption that he could trust the woman? It wasn't below the man to do such a thing. Or perhaps he'd just sent multiple people he once knew to different villages in order to scout out areas. More importantly, why is she still wearing her maid outfit? He thought, not knowing why she'd wear such a thing outside of the manor. Then a part of him recalled multiple times of playing in the forest or enjoying dinner at the capitol restaurants where she still wore the outfit. She's always been weird, hasn't she? He was faced with an odd situation where a part of him wanted to approach her to see how she was doing, why she took a turn to Kumogakure, then another wanted to turn and repeat the action Kaileer had taken, to walk out of there and not look back. She's blind regardless...I doubt my voice is still the complete same from three years ago. I'm sure I can turn in this mission now and think of what to do later without her figuring anything out. The normally pensive Soraru probably would've thought more into it, such as her ability in sensory and that she'd possibly heard him singing on the way over. He could've remained absolutely quiet the entire time and merely turned in his mission, but there was still that part of him that wanted the interaction with his former retainer. Then there was the fact that he hadn't finished his complete examination of the room, since he'd missed out thinking of a vital detail. Axel was at the center of it all. His headband wasn't on anymore. "So, you made a decision, a way of life, and stuck by it to the end. I guess that's conviction in its own way...Chikushou, just a kid too. Bushido's pretty cruel." He said, the last few words moreso muttered off as a side-comment rather than directly at Axel. Sighing out, he reached into his pants pocket to pull out a scroll, that looked more like a dried old document that was rolled up and tied in red string than anything one would see in official records.

"You're still young. Your mind is going to change pretty often. If you survive a few months and keep the same mindset, come find me. I'll lend you this if bushido still isn't the path for Axel Storn. Breaking the path isn't the end for a samurai, but you can return to it. Once you choose the path of forsaking it though, there's no coming back from that." He said, unraveling the scroll just enough to show the name of exactly what it was. Meiyo no Shi. Translated into Death of Honor. Something that shouldn't entice anyone, but rather a path one has to take if they want to continue defending a cause that isn't Bushido. Folding the scroll back up, he put it in his pocket and stepped out of Axel's way, heading over to the receptionist. Even if the redhead tried to ask him something, he wouldn't respond. The boy was exiled after all, and Soraru said his piece.

Walking over to the overturned desk of the secretary, he interrupted the meeting of star-crossed lovers by grabbing the desk by the edge and pulling, getting it back into it's normal resting place. With that, he reached into his pocket once more to pull out the mission slip he received from the ANBU, placing it on the desk. "Ahh, sorry if this is sudden, but I need you to sign off on this. I imagine I'll have to talk to an ANBU operative or the Raikage after things calm down, but the mission has been complete. The rest of my temp squad should be by shortly to turn in theirs as well. In the meantime I'd like to request the mission slips for a few missions down at the Hospital, I have plans down there." He said, a whimsical sort of confidence in his words that made it seem like nothing had gone down in the office at all. The secretary was flustered to say the least. On top of everything that happened, having her desk being pulled back in place, giving someone their village headband, and being approached by two more people was a bit much. Still, the woman was exceptional at her job and managed to pull through. She went over to her desk and opened it up, sorting through the now mess of mission slips before placing a few on the desk titled "Assist the Hospital."

Grabbing the slips off the table, she also placed some kan on there for him, a fair amount for the completion of the C-rank mission. He definitely made sure to take that off her hands as well. "Arigatou gozaimasu~" He said cheerily, turning away from the woman and leaving her to the whims of her flirty companion. From then on, he'd leave the room if nobody stopped him.

-----{ A } moment passed where Kaileer, so bent upon his rage and pain, almost continued his assault. Were it not for the immense strength and indomitable will that Wanryoku possessed the blade would likely have cleaved straight through him. Eyes upon his leader's, his father's, it took everything Wanryoku had to not panic and tear Kaileer's arms from his shoulders. A part of him, dark and twisted by a past filled with violence, pain and misery whispered to do it, how easy it would be to ensure the acts of the past were not repeated in the present by removing the means by which Kaileer could ever do harm. That part almost won as it brought forth the memories of his father, his barking orders, the calm, cool tones as he ordered a child drawn and quartered for daring to sneeze during a speech. It was painful to relive behind angry eyes, and it brought forth the boiling in his veins, the ice of the flesh that he attributed to a fury that, without a doubt, would leave Kaileer in ruin.
-----Yet the blade clattered to the floor as the cold fury in the Raikage's eyes faded. The shattering didn't even make the giant flinch for he had already suspected the outcome, but buried it behind fear so great that it had almost lead him to murdering his friend and ally on the spot. Instead, Wanryoku watches silently as the Raikage took a strategic retreat, perhaps to relieve himself of the rage that had engulfed him so much. Traces of the younger man's green chakra materialization faded from around Wanryoku's fists, just as his own manifestation retreated back into his flesh with a hollow roar audible to all. Turning his gaze to trace Kaileer's exit he considered just what had happened before hearing movement from behind. Changing his gaze to his arm, which was even then gushing the life from him in unhealthy spurts, he considered it for a moment until the headband was held out to him. Reaching for it, Wanryoku took the straps with a tenderness that did not speak of rage, but of regret, pain, and understanding. Eyes met Axel's for another moment before he spoke low, in a voice only the chunin would have heard. 'Something comes, Axel, something bad. Something to threaten entire shinobi world. You not see hunters for some time. Take time. Learn lessons you need to. Become the man you need to be.'
-----At last, the adviser to the Raikage watched the village's last Chunin walk away from what life he had made for himself within the village with a heavy heart. There would be questions, he knew, that only Kaileer could answer, but it had likely been something the boy had said that triggered the fury within Kaileer's soul. Something, likely, that betrayed what it meant to be a shinobi of Kumogakure no Sato. Ignoring all looks he watched until a new person entered, someone he had seen before, the 'bard' as he had claimed. Yet before he could truly do anything a smaller, feminine voice spoke to him of healing, and his eyes turned down to meet someone he'd never seen before. Sighing with relief and grunting in pain, Wanryoku nodded. "You right. I will go to hospital. I accept your offer of cleansing, though." Infection would be the deadliest killer of warriors besides spontaneous human disintegration, he was certain, so taking the time now might save him an arm later. Crouching down, he hoped the girl could understand him through the thick accent he carried, as most considered him mentally handicapped before identifying it as such.

Thanatos had decided to stay back, confused to what was going on in this village. As the large man in front of him moved with speed you wouldn't expect a giant to posses. He successfully stopped the Raikage from crossing over a line he himself had set. It seemed that the boys life had been spared for now. But the life of a rogue is never a safe one. Thanatos closed his eyes recalling the memory of Kein Uchiha reappearing at the gates with his eyes carved out of his skull. It seemed like now wasn't a good time, Thanatos backed out thinking about what he just saw. At least the Raikage had a good adviser with him. He decided he was going to go rest in his house.

Xion immediately recognized Musubi's sound. It had changed over three years, especially three years of puberty, but she had already decided from the first time she had heard it in Kumogakure that this voice was just too much like Musubi to be anyone else. It was… like… seeing someone after puberty but knowing that they were that one kid you played with before they reached puberty. Actually, for Xion, it was exactly like that. The footsteps were the same. The ground was different and so were the shoes he wore, but the rhythm, the pattern, the weight even if Musubi weighed differently than before, and other intricacies all convinced Xion that this was her friend.

However, she did not say anything. She still relied on her ears to "see" and that required silence on her part. She could not risk not "seeing" right after she had offered her help to someone. That would be irresponsible of her. Appearing completely unfazed by the bestial roar that she had heard from this man's very direction back when she was still near the receptionist's desk, Xion hovered one hand over Wanryoku's arm until it met the center of the heat that only fresh blood on flesh could generate. She was happy that he took the effort to bend over to make her job easier. The other hand cast hand signs alone before spreading as the Kiyomaru technique activated through it. Carefully, Xion lay the hand over the hand she used to mark the place that felt like the center of the injury and slowly waved the technique over the wound and then some. She took care not to disturb the broken and shredded skin lest she damage it more. The lack of direct touch made the job harder for the blind woman and that much was apparent from her furrowed brows and tight set lips.

The serious expression was quick to go once Xion finished the cleansing, though. In fact, it was quicker than the glow of the technique around her hand. She nodded in a "there you go" manner to signal that she was done. She didn't seem to think anything of Wan's accent mostly because she still didn't quite think he was human. He was certainly human-shaped, though. That much she couldn't deny. It seemed like he was some sort of resident of the village. If that was the case, then one day she would need to ask him if she could touch him to decipher what he was.

However, today was not that day, or at least this moment was not the right time. The footsteps that Xion had sought out of a whim since entering the village were fading. "Ah, Musubi!" she called out before he left earshot. There were no lords or other people of interest to force her to call her friend by his proper name. Although, this was probably one of those rare times when it was for the best to stick to the nickname she had fought so hard to use. She did not wait for confirmation, nor did she even come off as needing it because after just a brief pause, she added, "Or whoever you might be if I have been mistaken," with a pleasant smile. She could not lie, as Musubi would likely know, but she certainly did enjoy being a little tormenter at times and her smile, while still pleasant, made it clear that she inwardly laughing at the thought of, . Her calling out wasn't all fun and games, though, as it was quickly made apparent, "If I'm not mistaken, you are heading to the hospital, right sir? While I'm sure that a giant like…," she hesitated on what to call Wan, "this sir here," she had decided to go with general respect because it wasn't like he didn't deserve it, "can take care of himself, it's always better to go with someone than alone, I think? Could you maybe take him with you since you're going the same way? I would go with him, but I'm here to join the village and I haven't quite done that yet."
