The Machine [Open/Accepting]

Damien gave both his kids a pat and then stepped out of the elevator. He went up and opened up the door that led to HQ. He told the twins to go to the front entrance and then ordered to have a state chauffeur meet the twins there and take them.

After meeting the chauffeur, they were escorted back to the academy.

"Wake up, sleepy head", Monica said, nudging Jian to awaken. She pressed a button on the telephone at her bedside that notified the household that the mistress had awoken. Breakfast would be readied straight away and the chauffeur would be ready to take her to work right afterwards. She turned her attention back to Jian, keeping the blanket up to her chest and nudging him a little again before sighing then smiling. That was definitely a... different night.

"Good morning, beautiful." Jian muttered, slowly sitting up and looking into Monica's eyes.

Monica covered her mouth and yawned daintily. "Good morning", she replied to Jian. "Damien would be looking for you. Should I call to have you picked up or do you want to come with me?", she asked, letting Jian decide implications. After all, misunderstandings and such were prone to happen during strange events.

Monica covered her mouth and yawned daintily. "Good morning", she replied to Jian. "Damien would be looking for you. Should I call to have you picked up or do you want to come with me?", she asked, letting Jian decide implications. After all, misunderstandings and such were prone to happen during strange events.

"He'll be fine." Jian muttered to her. "If anything, I'll be attacked by the press the moment I get there. Actually, I better head there first so you won't get mixed up with the vultures."

"I thought you'd say that. I had your chauffeur come pick you up. He'll be here in a few minutes or so. Enough time to make it to breakfast at HQ. I'll see you later", Monica said, slipping out of bed still holding the blanket up and going for a quick shower and a change of clothes.

Damien was briefed by a few aides on what was going on and made a few orders on his way to his office. He went up there and began working on files until the war meeting. He looked around for Jian before going to his office, but didn't see him.

Jian took a shower and got dressed in a different bathroom before heading over to the office. He hoped there would be no surprises that morning, but as soon as he entered the door, he was bombarded by news people trying to get an interview with him.

The twins arrived at the academy for the first time that month and looked around at all the people stopping and staring at them. After meeting with the head of the academy to explain their absence was due to being kidnapped, their absence was approved (because of all the media attention given to the family). They were then escorted to the teachers, who proceeded to give them piles and piles of homework and classwork to make up for the month they missed. It was nothing they couldn't handle easily, but it did take away time from working on Damien's big project. They went to their normal lessons, and instead of goofing off or working on a project during their free time, they started working on their mountain of work.

Damien was informed about the sudden rush of journalists entering the building and ordered them to be expelled. If any of them struggled, they were to be arrested immediately. He also demanded an explanation for how they got there.

It wasn't too long before all of the journalists were cleared out and Jian was finally able to make it to his office. He tried to fix his uniform where people were tugging on it, but it was hard to do without a mirror.

Damien was informed that the crowd came in around Jian and was too large for the guards to handle. He stated that any future journalists that entered the compound were to be shot upon entry and ordered an even tighter government control on the Diethelmian media. He would be speaking to Monica later about this.

He thought for a moment, if Jian brought a crowd through the front door then he wasn't at his apartment. Damien then called up Jian's office.

Just as Jian sat down and took a deep breath, his phone started to ring. "Hello?" He asked.

"It's me. I've got some questions I need to ask you. I'd like you to come down to my office for a moment. I need some clarity" Damien said, then hung up. He then laced his white gloved hands together and rested his chin on them while resting his elbows on his desk.
