1x1 - Zelly & Anime

((I need to average 15 credits to graduate in four years, but they really don't advise freshmen to do that. You need at least 12 credits to be considered a full-time student which I wasn't doing before the schedule change. The point still stands though that 13 is about what I should be doing and am now.

My dad is like the middle of three brothers who both got to go and do whatever the hell they wanted, but my dad was forced to go to law school or something so he's all uppity about education and crap. What bugs me is that he's said a few times that he didn't want to end up like his controlling dad about education and stuff.

You, as far as I know, are not whoring out on the streets for old hair fat guys and reject bebians, and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be here chatting me up if you were in jail for some reason or another. Then again, I guess I'm really casual about this sort of thing. As far as I'm concerned, grades don't always prove your intelligence or worth. It's often biased, too.

Almost sounds like he's pushing some of his regrets and frustrations onto you. Almost as if he might be trying to justify what he's become - or somehow denying it. Meh, then again, I've probably been looking into too much psycho fiction.}

Larai chuckled softly. "I'll make sure to visit more, I promise."

"Good! Your little brother or sister would be horribly lonely if he or she never got to see their big sister all that much!"

"We can rat Kai out about it tomorrow. I don't feel like hunting him down right now." Van said with a little smile.

Larai chuckled once again.

"If he won't I'll drag him over here myself!" Mala half-joked.

"You're the one with all the magic now, I'm certainly not going to try to stop you!" Van said with a chuckle.

"Good." Mala took another sip of her wine, not really sure how else to comment.

"By the way, daddy, what did you mean by 'you're the one with all the magic now', if I might ask? Can't you still cast spells?" Larai asked with a puzzled look on her face.

((I try. ^w^ *huggles*))

"Nope..." Van said with a sigh. "Since technology's become such a big hit, magic is becoming less common, belief in the gods even more so. Judging from my complete and total lack of magical prowess, I'd say there's no longer enough people who believe in the gods to keep me, well, godly."

"Well, if it means anything, you're still a god to me." Larai said in a reassuring tone, getting up to quickly offer her father a careful hug before sitting back down.

"I know." Van said with a small smile. "At this point my immortality's probably being fueled by you three and whatever handful of believers there are out there."

"How could I not know your a god? You're just so talented and hansome and interesting! Especially in..."

Larai then went on to cover her ears and say, "Let's not finish that thought."

Mala snickered. Part of her intentions in saying what she did was just an impish attempt at inducing a funny reaction from Larai.

"Seriously, give it a few years, and you guys are literally going to be the only things keeping me immortal." Van said with a slight chuckle after the previous comments. "Your belief keeps me young, if you will."

 

[M3Gnificent]

Mala finished off her wine and set the glass down on a nearby surface so that she could cuddle up to Van once again. "Then I hope my belief helps more than that extra bit."

"I hope so too." Van said giving her a kiss. "...It's starting to get late, you should probably be getting to bed soon." he said setting his own empty glass down nearby to rest a hand on Mala's stomach.
