Her leg was caught as she landed on her other foot, there was not enough time to balance as the weight of Samuru pulled her down with him. The fall was not bad for her, granted it never felt good to land on her side, but now they were on the ground and she had to gain the upperhand quickly.

Already she began forming the signs, bracing herself as she took the tonfa to the face. She had turned slightly so that it was not a full shot, but t was still plenty painful and she could feel blood dripping from her nose. But she managed to finish the last seal and clapped her hands together as she closed her eyes. A white hot flash would erupt from her hands between them, the light bright enough that it would blind Samuru if he looked.

She'd take the opportunity to try and blind him before moving to try and pin him down to the ground.

Samuru got lucky. As she hit the ground, he was up, preparing to strike her again with the tonfa when he saw her hands clap and her eyes shut tight. His eyes widened and he flung himself backwards, twisting as the light blasted, falling onto his elbows with a grunt. His ankle was starting to throb but he just blocked the pain out, scrambling back up to his feet to stand, panting. His tonfa were up high, defending his face as he squinted at Jun. The light had gotten him when he'd turned and he was seeing spots dancing everywhere, obscuring his vision "..." he had all kinds of things he wanted to say right then but he just tightened his jaw and lips, glaring as best he could. Waiting...
....
And finally, he dropped his pose, sick of waiting for her to get off her a** and do something "Enough. I'm going. It was nice meeting you..." he muttered and turned, walking off.

Had it really taken that long? Considering she had gotten hit in the head, it might take a moment or two. Scowling as she got to her feet and could see him starting to walk away, Jun took a kunai from her belt and chucked it at him. She wasn't much good with weapons, so it would either hit its' target and cut his arm or it would miss, hitting the ground ahead of him but still getting his attention. "It was nice meeting you too... but we're not done yet." Maybe she was a little pissed that he was just walking away... she was probably also pissed to have gotten hit in the head and have a bleeding nose, either or. "I'd kind of like to finish this now instead of later."

He stopped as the kunai flew past him and stuck into the ground, his back still to Jun. He still had the nunchaku in his hands but he dropped them to the ground and turned around slowly. Samuru's face was dark, both with color and emotion, his throat tight as he glared at her "Why? So you can get dropped on your a** again?" he asked, his tone full of fire. He was tired of this stupid spar, of playing this game with her. She was being stupid. Like she'd assumed he'd been when he'd been thrown through the wall of the Ramen shop. He drew his tonfa again, whipping out the pair with more ferocity then before "Come on then." Samuru hissed, his voice deepening as he swallowed, clenching his jaw.

So that worked. Jun's lips quirked at the ends, a small smile when he brought out his tonfa again. The nunchaku were dropped, they were an annoying weapon but they were not out of the way just yet. "I get dropped, I want to return the favor. Someone turns their back on me in a fight, that pisses me off. It's as simple as that." she replied, her hands going through hand seals as she added. "Besides... you're good." and she wanted to beat him.

Taking a deep breath before the last hand sign, she let it out as a combustible mist covered the area ahead of her where Samuru is. Then raising her hand, she took a step back and snapped her fingers, a cinder sparking at the edge of the mist and setting off the explosion.

Samuru narrowed his eyes with a scowl "Get over it." he snapped at the mention of her being pissed off. The mention of his being good did nothing to fluff his ego or even make him cocky. Being complimented by this Konoha shinobi did nothing for him. He hated these people...and as she signed, he stiffened, preparing....but not for an explosion. Samuru darted out of the mist easily enough but the explosion blew him off his feet and into the air. He landed hard on his feet, rolling to kick up right where he landed. On his ankle. Which promptly twisted and he took a knee, one tonfa hitting the ground before he was up again. His foot he kept just slightly above the ground, barely noticeable and no pain crossed his features "Hmph." he kicked off, running on the ankle even as it threatened to fold under him. He crossed the area in a matter of seconds, rushing Jun and swinging his tonfa up at her jaw. An upper cut with his left tonfa, the force doubled with his forward motion.

Not much of a talker, he wasn't even having fun with the battle. Jun had thought adding in an explosion would make things more interesting but it was hard to tell. Samuru seemed unable to show any emotion other than angry or uncaring. She was a little curious...

He was coming in fast but it was bound to work for her. Using the same move as before, Jun took a step back, avoiding the tonfa hit before jumping back in. She hit the underside to push it up further, attempting to use his own force to set him off balance.

Then she switched it up as she took a small step forward, her mind focusing on the element of fire as she prepared the Coiled Snake attack. Bursting... exploding... dancing and never still. Movement.

Then as her hips twisted, her fist rocketed towards Samuru's chest. It moved much faster than before, Jun going as fast as possible after having augmented her speed.

Feeling his tonfa pushed aside, Muru let it go, throwing it away as he twisted his upper body. Attempting to keep his balance with only one foot, he jerked backwards as she struck his chest, pain blossoming as his hand went to grab her...then instead he struck forward. A knife suddenly in his hand, having slid down from the hidden clutch around his forearm. He slashed upward and across her chest and shoulder. It wasn't a strong thrust since he was catching his breath from the blow but it gave him time to attack with his other tonfa as well, whipping it around to crack her in the ribs. He meant to exact as much pain as he could on her, force her to admit either defeat or...perhaps something more? Samuru had no qualms about killing her if it came to that and his eyes reflected the glassy uncaring that was, as Jun suspected, truly the only emotion he carried. His knife was sharp and his attack fast, striking with both weapons. The blow to her side was the same one that he'd used to bludgeon the monster from earlier.

The course of battle seemed to be turning, Samuru had let his tonfa go, turning as he was hit and moving as if to grapple... when he pulled a knife on her. She jerked back but the blade still hit, cutting through her clothes and hitting the skin of her chest and shoulder. Then as the tonfa hit came, there was a puff of smoke and she was replaced with a log.

"That was a bit much..." she said, Jun about ten feet away behind Samuru. "Will you give an explanation? Or are you just going to try attacking me again?"

Samuru kicked the log as it fell, knocking it aside as he turned his head to glare at Jun behind him "I'm a weapon specialist...you wanted to fight me...so I pulled all the stops...you didn't hold back............so why would.....I?" he muttered darkly, the knife still in his hand even as he began spinning it in between his fingers. He flicked it up once the blade was in the correct position and it vanished into his sleeve as he retrieved his tonfa. A slight wobble to his step was the only indication that his ankle was hurt in anyway. Gripping his tonfa, he slid both of them into their holsters and turned his attention back to Jun "Are you satisfied?" he asked, his leg shaking minutely as he kept his ankle up, keeping the weight off it without appearing to be in pain.

"Not really..." replied Jun, crossing her arms and moving closer to Samuru. She had caught one of the wobbles but it did not seem worthy to note at the moment. "But why use a knife now when you've just used blunt weapons like those sticks or the nunchuks? Why're you so angry?"

Samuru narrowed his eyes as she came closer, Jun's movements triggering his hands to drop close to his tonfa. He didn't take them but if she struck out at him, he'd defend himself. Her words, however, were nearly enough to put him on the defensive "Because I can." was his reply, cold and as unemotional as he'd been during the fight. He had no reason to not use everything in his arsenal and knives were part of that. So were puppets, when he finally got his hands on one "I don't get...angry." he added, staring her directly in the eyes without any hesitation. He wasn't angry...but his intense hatred of anything Konoha might be mistaken for such an emotion. Even though he carried the headband and the title of one, he would never love care for anyone who lived in this village. Who fought for this village...never. He'd sworn it on his father's brow and his mother's crazed body.

There wasn't a need to attack, this sparring match was clearly over now. The other really didn't seem to care about anything, it was unsettling to deal with a possible sociopath. "Oh? If you don't feel angry, then what do you feel?" The other was this way for one reason or another, and the way he acted was enough to catch Jun's curiosity.

Samuru answered her smoothly and without a hint of emotion "Currently? Annoyed." he slid his hands into his pockets now, still keeping eye contact with Jun "What do you feel?" he countered, not really interested but she clearly wasn't going to leave him alone. And annoyed as he was, this was a bit entertaining. He'd wanted to fit in...maybe he could figure out how by studying this girl. And, indeed, he wanted to fit in....at least, until he could get what he wanted.
