__Hikaru gritted his teeth. This guy was in a lot more trouble than he realized. Both hands poured healing chakra in order to neutralize the blood loss of the wound. He didn’t have enough training medically to save this man here. He needed a hospital. Wait... a ludicrous idea came to Hikaru. The quarantine people from earlier still had his paper horse near them. After all, Hikaru had his paper creations on orders to follow until taken off, which is what he did for his teammates back when they first evaluated the scorpion containment. It was a wild card, but it was his best pull. Hikaru focused his mind as he channeled chakra as far as he could. If any of the quarantine medics still had their horses near them, then they would see their horse flash the green of medical chakra. The flash only lasted a second, however, before it flashed on and off in a distinct pattern. Although his training was limited, Hikaru did know Morse code. The code he sent to the medics was as followed.
“Found infected human, need supplies.”
Hikaru then sent the location they were at after doing so. He continued the flashes on a loop while he focused himself on healing the man, and hoped his teammates dealt with the scorpion soon, as well as the escapees. Hikaru did have explosives on the door out of here, but he couldn’t use them. Not without specific instructions from the boss to not let them escape by any means.
Its stinger was loosed by Hermes' blade and its shell pierced by Zhi's lightning. The scorpion--wracked as it had been by the pain of its injuries and the paralytics--ceased its thrashing all at once and went still. It would slowly sink to the floor as the strength in its legs trickled away, its fall resisted only by paralytic effects after its death.
When she was sure it wasn't simply feigning death, Bast let out a sigh, stood up straight, and surveyed the area. As she opened her mouth to issue new orders, a squad of ANBU and medics came barreling down the tunnel. She gave a brief report on the events leading up to their situation to one of the ANBU, who took notes of it in a small black book. A medic would relay thanks to Hikaru for tipping the rest of them off as to the situation, then would take over the healing. Once it looked like things were handled, Bast would glance over at her squad, shrug, and head back outside, flicking a piece of shell off her fist as she went.
"Good job, team," she told them. "I daresay we've earned a nice rest for now. Not quite what I imagined when we set out to get pictures for the newspaper, but a good experience nonetheless. Someone needs to go to the office to turn in the pictures, but afterward you should rest. If there are no questions, you're dismissed."

__ Well hey hey ho yaaay! The sparks at her fingertips fizzled away to nothingness, "MISSION SUCCESSFUL!" Zhi loudly cheered after having to bottle her voice up all this time in the cave. She figured everything was in their favor if only because of all the reinforcements arriving. Her echoes cheered along as if she still had clones along for the ride. Zhi would watch the ANBU moving around the secret base detaining the thugs and any other dangers. At some point she even helped them locate all the places she saw them hiding things away. When she came back she heard Bastet was excusing the team with congratulations. "U-uhm... sensei? Could w-" She was interrupted mid question by overhearing one of the ANBU mentioning the holiday event that was kicking off in the village. That explained a bit about all the activity she sensed throughout Sunagakure. "Lady Bastet, could we do some private training later? Maybe after the festivities?" She was having so much fun with her idol and the rest of the team, but she didn't feel like she was yet getting closer to her goal of becoming a true hero like Bastet was.
Her first visit to the rain-forest ultimately was brought on by a game. Sadayo was beginning to like the trees, the abundance of greenery, and the unusual plants. So saying, the woman nodded, stretched, and waltzed off through the forest, not spotting a single pumpkin on her way. There was an ominous air of fun hanging about the Village; given the timing, that could only mean two things: she'd missed her birthday yet again and Cactus Bast was prowling about somewhere. Cactus Bast, the incarnation of everything evil about her, all of the woman's dark tendencies laid bare and combined with the unfathomable lethality and lethargy of cacti and cats. She had to find it and subdue it once and for all. Or purrhaps for the first time, she wasn't sure; there were too many meowstical energies apaw to say for sure.

__ Zhi ecstatically leaped into the air and pumped her fist like she was at the end of some corny late eighties movie, "HOOORRAAAAYY!!!" Just as soon as her feet touched the ground again she sped off at full speed into the forest to try looking around there first.
__ No luck here, it seemed. She had run all about the forest and found not a single pumpkin or any trace of one. Zhi went off to expand her search to elsewhere in the village.

After laying low for almost a full minute, Bast popped her head out to see if there was anybody following her. She didn't see a person, but she did find... another squash! Cactus Bast was hot on her heels, but she was determined to strike first. That fiend would not catch her! Bast skittered out of the forest with the pumpkin entourage, her cat, and its now three squash retainers behind her.

๑๑๑๑Scaling the tall trees here until reaching the forest canopy, Hideo perched carefully on a particularly large branch scanning the area. In all of the village, this was a pretty good place to hide if you were trying to stealthily pick up information. He stayed silent, not wanting to call any attention to himself. Still, he could be pretty wrong about this location. After all, the crevice is a pretty open area to meet. Perhaps they figured in the chaos their faces would be hard to discern from the masses. Nonetheless, he scanned the area fro any clues.
