Rand shrugged before he canceled his request for her breakfast, tilting his gaze to take in the half-eaten pastry. "I just get restless during the day. As the sun rises I get a surge of energy; it feels like a waste to just lay in bed and do nothing when I could be here admiring how cute you look nibbling on a roll." He flashed a smile as he leaned back against the counter of the desk, idly taking his time to fiddle with the straps of the gauntlets he had purchased yesterday. "My only explanation why I'm so attuned to the sun, apart from seeing your gorgeous face by the rising sunlight of course, is my Magic."

Leigh Ann blushed again, saying, "You flatter me too much." She took another bite of the roll before saying, "I guess it makes sense about your magic though. It is light orientated, if I remmeber correctly."

The Fire Guardian nodded as the serving maid returned to the counter, turning his head to ask politely for a generous mug of apple cider before offering the same to Leigh. "I don't flatter you enough hon. In fact, I don't think I've even begun to give you my full attention." Drawing off the gauntlets entirely Rand rubbed his wrists where the straps had fit almost perfectly, doing his best to eliminate the numb skin he found there. He was still getting used to his purchase after all. "Yours is too. But you're not running around looking for fights or females like me. Maybe it's because you're Earth? Actually...Why are you up? I know why I'm up, but not you."

Leigh Ann shrugged her shoulders shyly before saying, "Just used to it. Father would get me up early. He said, as Earth mages, we should wake with the plants."

"Your father huh..." At the usage of the parental term Rand fell silent, standing still for a moment lost in the memory of what he had only briefly known by his estimation. Turning at the clink of occupied glass on smooth wood he graciously accepted the mug of cider, raising the hearty container to his mouth to sip at the amber liquid. He fought back the urge to smack his lips at the cool sweet taste, shifting his attention towards his companion. "Care for some? It's delicious. And I really don't know you that well Leigh; is there any way I can change that? Tell me about your family if you care to enlighten one such as me, oh so beautiful Mistress Earth Guardian."

"I'm alright, thanks," Leigh Ann said before looking up in thought. "My parents are very dedicated Earth Mages. My dad specializes in plant magic while my mom with ground magic. They're both great warriors, and spent their lives going around, advising towns how to keep the balance between the earth and themselves. Like, if they had to build towns, my parents would advise them on where to build to cause the least amount of damage, and would even use their powers to clear away areas for building. When they had me, they relocated themselves and retired. I grew up deep in the forest to help my training as a mage. Plant magic has always come more naturally to me than ground based magic, so for the longest time I only trained with father, but when I moved the ground one day mother started training me as well before they sent me off to find... something."

Kota had watched the sun rise. When the sun rose he was greeted with a warm morning breeze. He smiled as he made a small twister appear in his hand. "Good morning...." He said as he began to move the breeze around him before jumping into the air and floating for abit.

Rand listened attentively to Leigh's small depiction of her childhood and her family, nodding in turn towards the conclusion of her tale. "It sounds like your parents are very kind and thoughtful people. I can see why you've turned out as well as you have, especially in comparison to me Cutie." His statement began solemn and truthful then proceeded to return to his more typical flirtatious overtones, his fingers twitching in earnest to inspect the gauntlets. Yet throughout her tale his eyes were riveted on the Earth Mage, seemingly taking in every single detail of her as she spoke in contrast to the motion of his appendages. "If you don't mind me asking again, weren't you at least a little lonely growing up with just your parents? Unless you have some siblings of some sort lying around; the thought that there's an equally pretty Earth Mage in your family sounds most appealing to me."

"Nope, just me and my parents." Leigh Ann said with a smile. "There were the animals of the forest around. They weren't much for conversation, but they were fun to play with."
PostPosted: Mon Feb 13, 2012 6:11 pm

Rand felt himself smile in response to Leigh's cheerful recollection of the past, taking another small chug of cooling cider. "The animals huh? Sounds like you've had a great deal of fun back home. I can already tell you're looking forward to going back to see everyone again. What kind of animals did you hang out with? I really hope there was a bear among them because bears rule."

“The trees that whisper in the evening...
Carried away by a moonlight shadow...”

The Huntress sits quietly out in the plains outside the town. She was waiting patiently for the Guardians to finish whatever their morning routines were before she called them.

"Bears are nice, but you have to be really careful." Leigh Ann said, nodding.

Val appeared behind the Huntress, yawning and stretching. "What a sleep. How come you didn't wake me up?" He was smiling, joking with her really. She didn't wake him up cus it wasn't her job.

The white haired woman's gaze shifts to Val. "You would have slept better if you had accepted the fire boys offer instead of following me.", she says in way of response.

When Shechina woke, her cousin still hadn't returned home. She was starting to get really worried. Avani had never disappeared for a whole day before. Only half that at most. She hoped the other girl was okay, the worry nagging at her as she headed to town to get breakfast.
