(( I've been playing persona 3 and I have the opening stuck in m y head -.-; )) Jackie Grimaced and sat up, her alarm clock receiving an aggravated glare as it bleeped away into the early morning, shattering the silence of her room. Sighing and rubbing her eye Jackie pushed herself free of the blanket she had being using as some sort of vain barrier that night and shuffled off towards the bathroom, the alarm clock finding itself in the bin as she passed for, in her opinion, enjoying its job a little to much.
The sound of breaking china filled the kitchen, followed by a loud sigh as Jackie lent against the kitchen counter, her eye narrowing dangerously just daring it go wrong. though her arm was working and 'fully functional' Jackie's reaction time had slowed considerably and her fingers had become slow and clumsy. Already several things had been dropped down the toilet and in the shower and currently 2 china cups, or the remains of, lay on the floor now joined by the plate she had planed on using for her toast.
grabbing her toast as it popped up Jackie used the side of her foot to shift the shattered remains of her cup and plate set to the edge of the floor, before stuffing the corner of the toast in her mouth and pulling her coat on. With one last sweep of the kitchen floor, to make absolutely certain that no start of stray china was waiting for someone to step on it, Jackie left the house - snatching her backpack up as she went. (( oya~oya~ thank yo u hehehe ^^ ))

Valen sighed to himself lounging around on top of his bed, his right hand resting on the crook of his elbow while he took in the latest pleasure read for his daily literary intake. While he did not admit openly to being a scholar or blessed with artistic tendencies like the rest of his clan, he was quite open to spending days at a time absorbing as many texts as possible during his free time. A few days had passed since that most...interesting of parties on the Wayan Estate, and he had not had much contact with the upper echelons of the Immortui. He knew that Lilit and Sable were off in her room somewhere presumably, though he could not guarantee their whereabouts as he had been preoccupied himself. As for Kael...His fellow Consort had never been a predictable being, though if he had to make a guess the other male would be at his chambers working on another surge of inspiration at hand. Paendragon shrugged before he idly turned another page in the book Inheritance, recognizing the fact that he shouldn't be so entertained by a work of fantasy considering his very existence was more extraordinary by far...

((Sorry N, can't think of much to post with Matthia right now. >.< But I will go ahead with Marie and Evie and get them out of the party. Sorry for sort of abandoning you Shining. Just trying to help move the rp along. ^.^))
Marie's shoes tapped against the stones of the path as she left the greenhouse. She turned back to Kael once more before leaving him. "Until tomorrow." She murmured, and disappeared back towards the mansion. Inside, she quickly found Evie, and called for a taxi. The two girls chatted idly about their night while they waited for their ride to show up. Roughly 15 minutes later, they could see the signature yellow of their transportation pulling up at the entrance.
The girls climbed in the back seat, and gave the address for their apartment. They drove under the lights of the city, shining like stars over the concrete. When they made it home, Marie payed the driver, and she and Evie went inside. As they were both tired from the long night, they said only a brief goodnight, and headed off to bed.

Sitting in a chair with his window propped open Kael held a sketch book in his hand as his pencil slowly danced around the paper. The figure of a woman was slowly starting to form as he continued to sketch. The thoughts of the prior night was holding heavily in his mind. Marie the girl who he had found and had caught his attention so much he could think and want nothing more currently then to add her creativity and abilities to the families. "Sorrow, suffering, and pain need to be added to help sweeten the dish" he muttered to himself finishing his sketch.
In the center of the paper stood marie. Her form was distraught and in agony with tears rolling down her face. Before her lay a faceless friend her body twisted and contorted in a sickening way. It was but a thought of how to get the much needed taste of depression into the girl he wished to capture. "One as open as her won't be hard to find out alot about" he laughed thinking about how easy it had been to get her number with nothing more then the prospect of a collaboration with him. "How enjoyable it will be to clip the wings of my little swallow" he laughed standing up as he set his sketchbook down on his bed.

(( >.< I am really sorry!))
Jackie grinned and blew on the little silver whistle, the loud shrill cry echoing across the playground as the children all changed direction on the running track "Back to the other wall guys!" Some of the smaller children shrieked and turned, scrambling over each other to try and be the first to reach the wall, the older of the school either laughing at the children's antics or complaining at having to run back toward the other wall.
For a few minuets the strange exercised continued, Jackie picking up prompts from the near by P.E teacher who was monitoring was currently monitoring her, his pen poised over a clip board as he watched the lesson. For such a small school most teachers pulled double duty, teaching more then one lesson or over seeing activities as an extra set of hands. For a brief moment Jackie wondered if Nicholas would perhaps help with getting more staff.
Jackie herself had never been physically adept and when it came to her joining in with the actual lesson the children couldn't help but try and wind up their teacher who was only just keeping on par with the younger of the class, something which caused both her and the class to burst into fits of giggles. She was defiantly not a sporty person - something that she thought made her human.
~*~*~*~
Coughing Jackie sat on one of the cafe tables, fanning herself with the assessment sheet. She had managed to pass her assessment and pass out all with in the space of an hour and was now sitting, at the end of her shift, in the middle of her uncles cafe, a large ice-cream plonked just across from her.

Surprisingly, Sable had been rather quiet that morning. Whether it was due to the boredom and dissappointment that came with such an uneventful party or other more serious matters lingering on her mind had yet to be seen. Her deep brown eyes locked their gaze upward, as if searching the ceiling or sky beyond it for the answers she sought. When no such quiet reassurances came, she plopped herself backward onto her bed, heaving a heavy sigh immediately afterwards. She briefly pondered letting out another 'give me attention' scream, but even this seemed too much effort for the Origin for the moment being. This prompted yet another heavy sigh as her current lifelessness conflicted heavilly for her desire for attention. Sable being herself, however, her desire for the latter would overpower the former in a matter of minutes.

Marie hardly slept at all during the night. Excitement had overwhelmed her, making sleep more of a fantasy then anything. Not feeling particularly well rested, but yet not tired at all, Marie pulled herself out of bed in the wee hours of the morning, finally giving up on the idea altogether. Since it was most definitely too early to call Kael, Marie sat down at the easel in the corner of her room. Hitting the power button of the paint splattered radio near to her, Marie listened to the fast paced music of pop culture, being played for the sole reason to keep drivers awake on their morning commute.
The sketch she drew in the garden was pinned to her wall, held in place by a small bronze colored thumb tack. Squeezing paint onto a palate, Marie started mixing the colors with her brush and soon started bringing that color to fresh canvas.
Several hours were spent this way. Marie began lost in the trance of creation, brushes moving against the wood framed cloth. It wasn't until early morning became late morning did Marie finally stop and put her brushes down. She proceeded to shower and dress, spending the better part of an hour just deciding what she was going to wear. Today was a rather big day after. Afterwards she went out into her's and Evie's small kitchen and started coffee. For the time being, Evie was still asleep.
By the time Marie was sitting on her couch with her coffee, it was threateningly close to being afternoon. Deciding now was as good a time as any, she picked up her phone and flipped through the contacts before finding Kael's number. Pressing the call button, she held the phone to her ear and listened as the rings went through.

Valen rose from his bed to start wondering around idly on his regular morning route towards Sable's quarters, acutely aware of the silence around him suggesting that he was perhaps the only being in motion that day. Odd. He was not used to being up without some sign of wicked activity, usually an accompaniment of human voices screaming out for fear of reprisal and unholy torture all dependent on their rulers' whims. But as his footsteps softly echoed just outside her door the Consort paused, almost as though reconsidering his reason for coming to greet his Origin. Dare I disturb her now? There's no telling what ghastly errand she'll see fit to saddle me with.. Still unsure of what Melrose had in store, he opened the door to lead the way for himself into her chambers unannounced.

Sable, upon hearing Valen enter her chambers, sat herself up almost immediately and looked towards him. "Come here." Her words were calm, simple. Yet knowing Sable, even at her calmest, she expected her orders to be immediately carried out just the same. At least she wasn't acting as manic as she usually did. On the other hand, such behavior usually indicated that she had much on her mind - little of which she'd share. It was usually in these periods that she acted more clingy and demanding, often wishing for nonverbal reassurance without having to ask for it. Of course, successfully satisfying this unspoken wish tended to vary greatly depending on the issue that haunted her mind.

Valen obediently strode over to where his Mistress lay resting resplendent in her sheets, his eyes narrowing in suspicion still that he needed to remain wary of her. "Good morning to you as well Sable. Now what do you have for me to do for you today?" His tone was precisely measured to keep the annoyance in his voice to a bare minimum, his slight frustration the automatic response to her immediate order. Yet he recognized that she was not nearly as onerous as yesterday, a fact that prompted him to actually sit at the foot of the bed on her right side to gaze towards her in concern. Though he considered her a spoiled rotten little piece of a**, her distress was enough to give him pause. Even as he start mentally evaluating the ways he could help her Paendragon had slid closer towards his Origin to better hear her reply, the warmth of his body now directly next to her outstretched calves.

"I want you to sit with me for awhile." It was a simple statement, yet again, she wasn't likely to budge on the issue once she'd given the order. She began to move and reposition herself about to where she was sitting up close to Valen for the moment being. "If you try to blow me off or make excuses not to, I won't forgive you."

Talking? She wanted to stay in his company? That was certainly unusual onto itself. Valen turned to look over Sable without any expression before raising his right hand to gently place it over her forehead, checking her temperature in a sarcastic gesture of concern. "You wish to keep company with me while Kael and Lilit are still running around tormenting people? You must not have had enough to drink today I think. In fact..." He gently shifted himself to give another few inches of space between them, averting his eyes once the nearness of her presence started to affect him. Not now. It's hard enough dealing with her moods when I'm not gawking over her more than usual..

Sable lightly grabbed his arm just in case he might get up and try to leave, her expression dead serious - if a little annoyed that Valen wasn't taking her seriously. "I'll feed later. I want to talk now, and so help me if you won't listen I'll rip your arm off and feed it to you." Such threats weren't uncommon for Sable, yet the slight wavering in her voice most certainly was.

At least he had tried to make his departure. Valen tilted his gaze to look pointedly at her hand resting on his arm, unsure yet whether to remove it or not. "If you insist...We can talk." What else could he do? He knew that undertone in her voice that would brook no rebuttal and he also knew that she would try her best to rip his arm off as promised. But he didn't recognize the note of hesitation given away by her statements. "What do you wish to talk about Lady Melrose?" He asked softly what was on her mind for he was unsure if he should bring up the events of the party just yet.

"Before I was old enough to remember, what was mother like? What was the Clan like, for that matter?" These were the first two questions out of her mouth. These questions were not what was bothering her, yet she hoped that whatever answer Valen might offer would help to ease a little bit of what was on her mind. With the uneventfulness of the party and what little sleep she had, Sable had all too much time to ponder serious issues regarding the Immortui's future and her own. She would never dare share such concerns with any of her Clansmen as things were. After all, why give them the impression she was taking things seriously when she could get them to pamper her as much as possible in the meantime? They seldom asked her the difficult questions. They just let her do as she would, to an extent, and simply worked to keep her as happy as possible. Sable hoped that she would be able to avoid pressure and, to an extent, responsibility as much as possible - but she knew she couldn't wait forever. The sooner she would work to secure their future, the better. Still, that alone was a daunting thought. More than enough to give her pause.
