Draco quickly finished his drink. Filling it once again, his thumb rubbed circles on the glass as his anxiety started to ebb thanks to the liquid filling his core with warmth. He let out a few deep breaths steadying himself and scanning the dance floor once again. He wasn't sure he was quite ready for that. He watched everyone carefree and laughing as they were having a great time. Wondering how it was so easy for them. ' well maybe if you had gotten here on time you too would be in the full swing of things' he chastised himself once again on being late.

He was scanning the crowd when a voice directed toward him brought his eyes forward. His eyes immediately went wide and he was sure his mouth gaped open. She was probably the loveliest thing he had ever laid eyes on. He gave her a thorough once-over taking her in head to toe. His mind stalled for a second before he regained his composure and his eyes cast respectfully on the floor. He was pretty sure this was one of the Goddesses that made their appearance at this thing, He had heard of them of course never actually seeing one in person and definitely not this close.

His eyes went up again upon hearing her name. "Th-thank you" he stuttered trying to calm himself down once again. 'SERIOUSLY GET IT TOGETHER' his inner self screamed. "I'm sorry I am.. so terribly late." He looked once again embarrassed and clutched the glass of wine he was holding even tighter his knuckles turning white. Why was he so flustered right now? "I'm Draco." He added pausing. "This is my first venus day celebration so forgive me my nerves, I'm sure this wine will kick in anytime." he gave a small chuckle still not willing to meet her eye. Was he being respectful, or just trying not to ogle her he wasn't really sure.

Logoi grinned and very proudly acknowledged his handiwork "I did, named in your honor." Literally. "You should be proud." He had every bit the look of the cat that brought in the half dead rodent expecting to be praised for it act. He made no attempt to dodge Hotkos. Rather, he took advantage of her bring herself close. With no same (does he even know what that word mean?) he held out his arms as if to welcome a hug.

Then a cherub appeared right on time to distract Hotkos so he could make more masterdrinks. "You are welcome, Hotkos, enjoy!" His smile was too wide, too 'sweet', far too apparently sincere to match his face.

The poor demon looked uncomfortable. She was tempted to give him an arrow shot. Finding his Prince(ss) Charming would really break the ice. It didn't help that she left the arrows back in her observation spot. There were other, non-magical ways to help.

Once he heard her, she was finally able to take the measure of him. With only a flutter of her wings, Harmonia remained still as he seemed to be doing the same. She had to be mindful not to let the corner of her mouth go up too far.The attention was nice, an uneven smile could show the wrong message.

Her Venus in disguise theory was thoroughly debunked.

Poor mortal seemed so shy and anxious. This place would change that in due time.

Harmonia reached out her hand to his white knuckled grip. If he didn't pull away, she'd keep hers on his until he is calmer."You are only late if you get here after Mother." A Venus Day party doesn't start until Venus shows up. That was usually after the chaos. "Venus isn't here yet so you are fine, Draco. It is lovely to meet you."

Shifting to the side to allow the dance floor to take center stage, the Goddess of Harmony told him, "We welcome you to the party! Each year is different, with its own..excitement. Don't worry, you are safe here." She looked to the drink station and added, "I wouldn't recommend the drinking game. We have a few..creative mixologiest this year." The game sounded like fun. The person who made the decision to include soap and bleach clearly needed retraining. It was probably Kyle

Fanning herself, Xeneka sighed and looked around, eyes soft (possibly with alcohol as well) as she surveyed the room. It was a fun party and she was glad. Smiling, she continued to bop her head to the music and noticed that the screaming disappeared.she did note some kind of competition somewhere but was not inclined to check. Perhaps that was not the main event.

“Wonder what the main event is…” Xeneka’s soft tone held confusion. Eh, it was all in good time. Back to the group, she noted all her new friends (still entranced by Eniko’s beauty) and wondered if they wanted more drinks…though, the last one that Eniko ordered was quite strong.

“Have anything to do in mind. Cause I am not sure what else to do here…” she piped up to the group.

Draco took a few deep breaths. He looked up to her hand on his calming him. He smiled softly, he was sure now that everyone was going to be as nice as the roumers had stated here. After all for a Goddess to go out of her way to reassure a socially anxious mortal, it was truly a sign of good things to come.

He listened to her words and his eyebrows shot up. Venus was going to be here? He didn't realize that. He glanced up to the statue pouring wine in awe. Her not being here yet gave him a bit of hope after all he was sure that he would be the last one arriving. It was part of what fed into his anxiety. Though now he realized that no one really noticed. This did help him relax.

He nodded giving her a soft smile as she welcomed him. He raized an eyebrow at the way she said excitment. However, it was a party so excitement was to be expected. He glanced over to the drink station she was referring to laughing and holding his wine glass up. "I think I'll stick to the wine." He took another drink. "I want to get out to the dance floor eventually." He glanced at the bodies moving around in the back nervously. "I just hope I can find someone to dance with," he said slightly under his breath.

If Draco was being honest the reason he was here in all reality was to find his someone. Draco was a die-hard romantic, who as of now had never had a chance. His social anxiety kept him from approaching strangers, he was hoping since this was the whole reason for the venus day celebration he could find someone outgoing enough to make up for his nerves. After all where else was he going to find this mass of singles? Turning his attention back to the Goddess in front of him he mustered up the courage to ask. "Would you like to dance with me?" She may be too busy to accept the offer, she seemed to be welcoming strangers and keeping watch. This way at least he tried. That was progress.

His own curse did not let him reconsider his actions though he tried as he slammed into the rak despite the other's words gentle words. Under normal circumstances those worlds would have stopped him and had him reconsider his course of action but at this moment this felt like it was right but it was also at odds with his head.

Galaxy colored arms tried to wrap around the dark cat's middle as he used his impulse and strength to attempt to take the other down. With all intent on pinning the other to the ground with his own body weight, but who knows how well that would go.

"To see who is stronger!" The angel answer with a laugh at the obvious but there was a softening in his eyes. "Have you been hurt so, that you always expect pain? Have you never played? or have you forgotten"

Harmonia kept her hand where it was for moments longer then probably needed. Her job was done, the Demon seemed at ease. At least for now. There was no telling what would be to come. Maybe indulging in a few more moments of peace would fortify for the rest of the evening.

His comment about wine earned a warm chuckle, "That is the safe bet." 'as long as no one bathed it in' was left unsaid. Not that Dio would allow sacrilege of wine. Everything else, probably, but not the wine. At least, if her memories of him were anything to go on. "You'll have no trouble with that, the dance floor has a way of pulling pae in." It could be the magical effect of the satyr, Dio's own games and a few of her nieces and nephews causing mischief.

This mortal was full of surprises. The request for a dance pulled her eye brows right up. He was bold, and quite a bit brave for that one. She hardly had it in her heart to reject him after that bit of courage. A touch of cruelty should anyone notice her show any interest in him.

Whats the harm? "Well, I am no Thalia, but I'd be happy to be your first dance." The music of the dance floor would do the rest. Finally remembering to pull her hand back, she turned it over to reach out properly. Offering one hand, the other sweep over to the dance floor. Her invitation to join the dance floor waiting for him to take it.

It was a shame she didn't have her arrows at the moment to help him along. With enough of the kids running around someone, hopefully not someone traumatic, would take care of him. It would be traumatic for them if they hit her, though.

Adelaide wasn't quiiiite listening she was freaking out trying to figure out where her female body had gone and why she was now suddenly a male harpy. "What? Do something? What CAN you do?? I assume you would have done it already for your friend there....." she blinked, now without a doubt believing a pae could suddenly change gender.

"What was in the wine?" she frowned, rubbing her temples. It did no good to freak out, that only left her ....him...without a clear brain. Sighing, she...he... took a few deep breaths before shoving her hands down, palms facing the floor, slowly in a way to fully regain control.

"Alright....what have you two eaten or drank so far." she...he began but then was caught off guard by a rather vibrant faun approaching him. Didn't these guys usually stay at home? "And what can I help you with? Have you also suddenly swapped gender identity?"

Ursulo laughed. This fella was just so charming and desirable. "Oh hunny right now I could care less if you had two left hooves!" he chuckled, obvious foot joke for an octopae was obvious. "If you want, I can show you how to move them." he grinned before chuckling, tossing his head back a little. "Or if you'd prefer the water, I'm down to learn some water sports." he winked. First however, he waved down a few passing cherubs and got them fresh drinks, handing one to Osmerus while tipping the other back for himself.

Ahhh did Dio just love female harpies. He was often jealous of his bro-bird who had zero chill. But Boreas wasn't here right now and well.... Dio was. "Rubena, Ruby-like. It certainly fits you like a glove." he about cooed, certainly admiring her plumage. And assets. There was no subtly about him, his eyes went wherever they darn well pleased and right now it was on her.


"Now what brings a pretty little thing like yourself to my couch? Got a certain...itch... you can't scratch my dear?" he asked, before taking another sip of his wine and letting it linger on his tongue as he smacked his lips a bit. "Oh, and do tell me if the food and drink isn't to your liking. Can't have anything subpar now. Not at my party." he winked again, only taking his eyes off her for a few seconds to address things with his maenads or take a whisper from a cherub or too.

Rubena couldn't help but blush as the god's bold eyes took her in, but it mostly wasn't visible against her coloring, and she was mostly just pleased to be appreciated. She smiled a satisfied smile; he seemed to like what he saw.

His question caused her to raise her eyebrows once and take a fortifying sip of wine. "Well, now that you mention it, I have been having trouble finding suitable company," she began, running one hand over her lap, as if smoothing an imaginary skirt. "My first attempt seemed to prefer the company of men, and the second backed into the crowd on the dance floor the moment I got a little close." She shrugged gently and took another sip of wine. "So I'm wondering if third time's the charm?" She quirked an inquisitive eyebrow at him.

Sonorila took care not to touch Glister's skin with her talons as he lifted her, and in the same manner she avoided his antlers, smooth as they were for a faun. The way the light went through them was so very interesting. She softly ran her fingers against his shaved scalp and what hair he'd left. "Do you braid this yourself? You must be quite skilled with your fingers...."

Oho, what was that she saw in the distance? Had her sister scored the deity himself. Not bad, not bad at all. With a smirk, she waved just enough to make eye contact.

Draco smiled sweetly at Harmonia she had really gone above and beyond in making sure his entrance to the party was going smooth. He wondered if this is how it was for everyone, would they all be greeted by a beautiful goddess? He finished off his glass of wine he had been nursing since she had made her way over to him. He set it down while he waited for her answer.

When she agreed his jaw dropped a bit. He then blushed and pulled himself together. He had honestly expected her to tell him she was much too busy to dance. He was thinking he could see that as his excuse to not dance. "I am not sure who Thalia is, but im sure she doesn't hold a candle to you." He flashed her another sweet smile hoping that came off as charming and not creepy. He was always second-guessing himself as he had never flirted with anyone before, and flirting with an actual goddess seemed strange and possibly out of line. He just hoped he wasn't going to offend her.

Draco took her hand and smiled as they swiftly headed for the dance floor, he made a move to put his hand around her waist and to pull them in a more intimate dance spacing. There was dancing with a friend, where you would hardly touch it at all and a lot of big siilly moves, and then there was dancing with someone you were interested in. Draco was going for the latter and was once again hoping this goddess would not mind. He could totally see himself ending his first flirting situation with a bright red slap mark on his face. He chuckled at the thought but tried to keep his focus on Harmonia and move in sync with her, was he too close? Was he being too farward? He searched her eyes for the answer while letting a charming smile play on his lips. "is this okay?" he whispered near her ear his hand on her mid-back.

He was adorable, who could blame her for being a little charmed? Most of the mortals here didn't really bat an eye at the deities around them. Well, besides Pothos and Pel. That was NOT the type of attention she wanted. Her poor brother. Otherwise, they were there to keep the party going but Venus was the main attraction. Even She didn't seem to get as much fawning after so many parties.

That was another issue and not one of hers. Better not borrow those.

For the moment, however long it lasted, Harmonia was going to take the harmony she usually bestowed to others.

His comment about Thalia make her laugh, low with warm amusement. She couldn't decide if she wanted Thalia to hear that or not. "You are too kind, Draco. I'll try to match that confidence." There was zero chance she wouldn't be grinning a bit when next she talked to her sister.

His choice of spaces suited her just fine. Too close to Dio and there was a risk she'd get caught up in the divine influence. Or that Dio would notice and recognize her. There was attention she wanted, such as now, and attention she did NOT. If only she was better about not dropping her guard.

Concerns, worries, responsibilities and duties all faded into the the cacophony that was the party. For the brief moments this would last, the Goddess went along with the dance. Her right hand lay gently on his left shoulder, just a tad higher than appropriate for a first dance with a new partner. Her body shifted just a touch to the right to keep them left-aligned.

The Goddess of Harmony was not going to allow a bad aliment to created disharmony in the dance. Stepped on feet did little to help the moment. Otherwise, she used the other hand to encourage his free hand to lace fingers with hers. In this moment, her eyes never strayed form his as she warmly embraced the moment. "Absolutely." It was more than fine. With a shift of the hip, she stepped forward to further encourage him to dance.

Hymn was doing what Hymn did, put on a show, but as the nights went on it was getting harder to keep up appearances. Sure, Venus was getting exactly what she always wanted- butt tons of love- but for Hymn, less and less were stopping by the little booth. It seemed to dwindle with every passing year. Pae loved the love part, but the commitment? It hurt him so!

Even though the booth looked small and unimpressive on the outside, what some would be shocked by was that once you walked inside it was the grandest wedding hall imaginable! With rows and rows of fluffy chairs, sparkling doves that flew above head, an arch that glowed as bright as the couple's love, and flowers EVERYWHERE. Yeah, it was gorgeous, but so so empty.

That was until two small Pae wandered up, "Well hello there." he winked and did a side hip jab at them with a flourish of arms, "Are you two love birds ready to tie the knot!? To bind the soul for eternity? To say yes for the rest of your days!?" He might have been a bit excited.
