"Life can be as cold as I can be."

Kazumi then walked out of the main room and over to a side room, approaching a drawer and pulling out the proper scroll for suiton and fuuton. Unrolling them and placing them on hooks on the wall, she took a standing stanc and placed a hand in front of her body, looking over the proper ones she wanted to learn.

[1/3] Starting with the water techniques, she studied the proper hand signs carefully as she started with the first two. Small globules of water began to form around her, swirling around her form, suspended in mid air as she began to concentrate further. Slowly they gathered to form a small, steady stream that she directed.

[2/3]The stream began to grow in size as she continued the next few hand signs, more of the moisture being sucked out of the air as she turned around as the ninjutsu picked up pace. Eventually, it became a steady tornado of water that she was learning how to control more and more.

[3/3] She allowed her hand to flow with the ninjutsu, watching it bend to her command as she studied how best to use it effective. It was very handy as a defense, she had to admit, but was curious as to its offensive capabilities. Looking over at a dummy, she threw her hand towards it, the water rushing, engulfing, and drenching her target. Yes, this ninjutsu would do nicely, she thought to herself.

[1/5] The next one would be far more difficult, Kazumi reminded herself as she took a deep breath and brought her hand back to a starting position. Beads of sweat had begun to form on her face as she started with just the first hand sign, basic water coming at her beck and call. She copied the method she had just done with the small water stream, letting it flow around her as she looked at the next hand sign.

[2/5]As she slowly performed the next hand sign, the water began to settle onto the ground and slowly build itself up. It was only a foot cubed worth of water thus far, yet Kazumi found herself having some difficulty bringing more water into the wall as she tried to concentrate. It shattered briefly, the water scattering over the floor before Kazumi reached deep within herself just to build back what she once had.

[3/5] She just tried to hold it at that block instead for a while, memorizing the feel of her body and chakra as she held the hand sign in place. Building up a little more confidence over minutes, she made the third hand sign and watched as the wall grow quickly to become her own size, able to block whatever would have been thrown in her way. She smiled at her efforts, but knew that she had to perform it now with just a twist -- she had to do it with a jet from her mouth.

[4/5] Dismissing the water outside of her mouth, she began to concentrate chakra inside of her mouth, feeling it fill up quickly with first air from her breath before the water filled it soon after. Slowly spewing it out, it began to form the basic wall. After one full spew, she frowned as she had partially gotten it but needed one more try to perfect it to get the size right.

[5/5] Taking in another deep breath, she concentrated on her chakra far more than beforehand, feeling the water swell up so much that it actually flowed through her lips as if natural. It was like a blown kiss in motion, the water slowly flowing from it and forming a solid barrier. Yes, it would do quite nicely, Kazumi thought to herself.

[1/3] Next on her list were two of the fuuton skills, studying the first hand sign carefully before making it. She felt a brush of wind against her hair, her locks beginning to flow before it stopped as she concentrated the wind towards her feet. She lifted her heels slightly, allowing part of the air to seep underneath her feet.

[2/3] The next hand sign was formed, Kazumi feeling herself rise off of the ground, struggling to keep her balance on the thin strips of air that had formed underneath her. She knew that she had to keep her focus on the signs, or face a possibly harsh lesson in gravity; slowly the thin strips of air began to shape into balls. Soon, she had her balance perfectly and was ready to begin attempting movement.

[3/3] At first she took it cautiously, "walking" around as the balls moved with her hands; eventually, she took the focus of her hands away and began to move at a running pace. At last, she looked at the walls around her and willed herself forward full tilt, the balls speeding up the wall and flying through the air as she performed a full spin and landing on the floor again.

[1/5] Landing on the ground, although she desired to use the already whirling wind she knew she had to dismiss it as she studied the hand signs of the final ninjutsu ability carefully. With a series of hand signs she knew well, the air flowed around her and in front of her, a perfect vision of herself coming to life and smiling back at her. "You know what we're here to do," Kazumi said solemnly, her clone nodding back at her and walking over next to a dummy.

[2/5]She stepped back a little more, taking a few kunai from the drawer as the clone stood in front of the dummy. With a forceful throw of the kunai, she made hasty signs as it flew towards the wind clone. Although she was fast enough, her signs were clearly off as the wind clone exploded, albeit only singing the dummy instead of the massive explosion she had hoped for.

[3/5] A few more hand signs and yet another clone formed as Kazumi grumbled and walked over to the same dummy with it. Her hand reached out and grasped the kunai lodged into the dummy, pulling it out. Walking back, she practiced some hand signs hastily before turning around and taking a deep breath.

[4/5] She began to focus her chakra big time as she held the kunai at a ready position, the clone simply smiling at her still. Feeling an optimum amount of chakra built up both in and around the clone, she let the kunai fly once more. She watched carefully as it flew, her hand making the signs slightly slower but still fast enough with more precision as the kunai hit the target.

[5/5] The wind clone shattered immediately on impact, Kazumi bringing an arm up to her eyes as it exploded outwards. The explosion had the force of three explosive tags, nothing to be sneezed at as the dummy was in pieces by the time it was done and the academy was rocked violently as a hole between herself and the room where Wanryoku was formed in the wall. She could barely see the barbarian through the wall, waving to him and blushing hard as she didn't mean to make such a ruckus before sliding over into the hidden part of the med room again.

"Life can be as cold as I can be."

[1/3]Kazumi decided that it was about time to tap into the power of her family's jutsu as she picked an area out of sight from anyone else in a smaller room off to the side. Small pieces of frost forced on the wall momentarily as she extended her aura outwards while preparing her first hand sign. Her aura began to channel inwardly and became more focused as she directed it with a single hand sign.

[2/3] Small snowflakes began to form in an amorphous manner, sticking around despite the temperature in the room. Eventually it condensed down to a small cloud, Kazumi inspecting it as she walked around. She continued her hand signs, the form of the cloud complete but not the texture or temperature.

[3/3] With a final hand sign, she reached out to the cloud and felt its coldness against her skin. The most basic of her family skills had been learned. She knew that she could call upon it anytime that she wanted.

[1/1] The first skill would be basic enough as she reached out to her hatsuyuki and began to combine her own chakra with the frost of the cloud. A small snowball formed in her hand, looking it over before tossing it up and down in her hand. She threw it towards one of the dummies, watching it impact with not much force but it was large enough to conceal weapons or small objects in it.

[1/3] With the next hand sign, the hatsuyuki ascended into the top of the room above her head. The cloud became thicker as she continued, a single snowflake falling to the floor after what seemed to be a full minute of concentration. Kazumi frowned as she looked up, reaching out to touch the cloud as she naturally continued to channel her chakra.

[2/3] Without warning, a flurry of snowflakes fell onto her face and began to cover the ground around her. Raising her other hand up in the air yet finishing another hand sign, she danced around a little in the snow. She was enjoying her own natural powers, feeling just as cold as she liked.

[3/3] The entire small room began to become as cold as the snow itself as the floor was nearly covered in a thin layer of snowflakes. For combat reasons, it certainly wasn't much but it could have its purposes. It was rather fun non-combat, though.

[1/3] She had practiced throwing a snowball, but it was now time to go big or go home, Kazumi chuckled to herself. With a series of hand signs, a new hatsuyuki formed nearby. Reaching over to it, she took the entirety of it into her hands.

[2/3] She continued to pour chakra into it as she just held it there. After a few moments, she felt like it was just about ready to launch. She looked over at the dummy with a small smirk on her face.

[3/3] Throwing the entire thing at the dummy, it seemed to explode against it. The nearby area plummeted in temperature, all of the water around it freezing. She grinned, knowing well that that would certainly be devastating to the opponent if it landed.

[1/3] The next skill didn't require a hatsuyuki as Kazumi focused her chakra into her mouth once more. This time, a flood of nearly freezing water entered her mouth. Spewing it outward slowly, more of her chakra combined to cause the water to freeze.

[2/3] It started out as a small cone, no more harmful to a shinobi than a breath of refreshingly cold air. The harder she tried, the more the snow cone intensified and the longer that it went. At last it became the full snow cone that she had expected.

[3/3] The snow cone turned the dummy into a Popsicle, a clear sheet of ice forming on top of it. In combat, it was certain to be deadly. With a smile, Kazumi started to move on.

Theme Song of Viktor Banciu

Viktor decides that the next few techniques would be a lot easier for him to perform with at least a training dummy to perform them on. So, he goes to stand before one and begins the next technique in the Hsing-I Pakua style. This one was quite simple. Viktor visualizes the dummy in front of him coming at him to attack. He scoots back to avoid the fake attack, then immediately bounces back in with a palm strike towards the dummy’s chest.
Hsing-I Pakua: Bear Withdrawing, Shocking, then Following 1/1 LEARNED

This would be the last technique in the second stage of the Hsing-I Pakua style. It was a greatly needed skill that would assist him in parrying his opponent’s attacks in the future. It consisted of one of his hands being brought up, like a bird looking at its wing, while at the same time putting the other hand down at the ground like a bird hovering over a kill. By turning his hips, he now had a defensive barrier in the form of his hands that would be able to parry most attacks. Not only that, but parrying attacks in this way would set him up to perform a counterattack.

Hsing-I Pakua: Phoenix Spanning and Turning 1/1 LEARNED

Hsing-I Pakua: Stage 2 MASTERED

Time to start the third stage of Hsing-I Pakua off with a powerful technique. This one would, hopefully, prove to be as useful as it was powerful. At least, it seemed pretty powerful to him. For a third stage taijutsu technique it did at least. But then the majority of the techniques in this style were useful. That’s why he liked it so much. Viktor would start this technique by stepping forward and to the left, as if to dodge a pretend attack that hadn’t actually happened of course. He would then grab the dummy’s right arm. If it was an actual person he was fighting then his hand would be enhanced with chakra to give him more grip, but this was just a dummy so that was unnecessary. In any case, upon grabbing the dummy’s arm he would shake it as if to keep an opponent off balance. This would be followed by a short combo of about five quick, powerful punches which would end with a palm strike to the head.
Hsing-I Pakua: Snake Entrapping and Striking 1/1 LEARNED
With the one complex technique of the style out of the way, Viktor could move on to the more simple ones. Just because they were simple didn’t make them any less damaging though. In this next technique Viktor would begin by rotating his front foot out (his left since he is right handed), thus opening his hips. In this position he would shift his hips and unleash a powerful torqueing round house kick towards the leg of the dummy, as if to cripple or off-balance his pretend opponent. Viktor would then drive his elbow into the back of the dummy’s ‘head’ and finish off the technique by dropping the same elbow vertically into its ‘shoulder’, a move that would easily sweep a person off of their feet.

Hsing-I Pakua: Lion Sweeping and Chopping 1/1 LEARNED

Viktor thinks on the next technique and decides… he wouldn’t try it out. It sounded nice and all… but it didn’t seem particularly useful. Plus he’d look rather stupid doing it. Besides, it sounded pretty simple enough. The point of it apparently seemed to be that he would jump at an opponent – probably over his opponent’s own attack to ensure that it would connect – and perform a double knee strike into his opponent’s head or chest. He would continue down to the ground with his opponent and continue his assault there with punches to his opponent’s head, his arms trapped by Viktor’s legs and making him incapable of retaliating. Yeah, Viktor would definitely look stupid doing this to a dummy. It was simple enough, so now he could move on to more useful techniques that wouldn’t require as much luck. ‘Cause with this technique, it seemed like if he missed he would be out of luck and someone would easily be able to perform a counter attack.

Hsing-I Pakua: Phoenix Launching and Hunting 1/1 LEARNED

This technique was far more useful than the last, and Viktor couldn’t wait to try it out. Standing in front of the dummy he would shift his hips in its direction, it being his target. He would then perform a heavy, powerful kick that would easily be able to collapse an opponent’s guard and compromise their frame. Viktor then skips the second part of this technique, since there was no guarding limb and no attacking weapon coming at him for him to get rid of. Instead he moves straight to the last part of this technique. This consisted of Viktor unleashing a quick, but vicious uppercut towards the dummy’s head/neck.

Hsing-I Pakua: Unicorn Charging and Goring 1/1 LEARNED

This was the final technique of the third stage of the Hsing-I Pakua style. In Viktor’s opinion it was pretty… underwhelming. He just… wasn’t a big fan of it or any grappling technique, which is what it appeared to him to be. Still, it might prove useful someday so it couldn’t hurt to try it out. Performing it on a dummy would be weird though. With this technique, Viktor would use his flexibility to wrap his limb around an opponent’s neck, or even their own limbs. By doing this he acted as a python, constricting blood flow to make a fast choke out when wrapping around a neck. When trapping and immobilizing a limb he would leave his opponent defenseless and reduce their counterattack potential, even numbing the limb if he could hold them in this strangle for long enough.

Hsing-I Pakua: Python Wrapping and Constricting 1/1 LEARNED

Hsing-I Pakua: Stage 3 MASTERED

Now it was finally time to move onto the fourth, and for now final, stage of Hsing-I Pakua. Viktor had so far been pleasantly surprised with how useful this style seemed, and looking at the techniques for this stage he was happy to see that it only seemed to get better. This stage seemed to have more complex techniques than the previous stages, so Viktor decided he would focus on those more difficult techniques first before learning the simpler ones… uh, one. There was only one simple technique in this stage. Anyways, this next technique was incredibly useful. It was like a shunshin, except it could be used much more effectively in battle. Viktor steps back a few meters away from his training dummy and takes a deep breath. Taking a deep breath, he manipulates the chakra inside him and coats his entire body with it. Then moving with such speed that he would seem to vanish, Viktor rushes towards the training dummy. As he nears the dummy, a wave of dense chakra would release off of him and blast against it, launching it away from him and into the wall.

Hsing-I Pakua: Rushing Spirit 3/3 LEARNED

The next technique was very useful. This would displace the chakra in Viktor’s enemy, causing his or her vision to go blurry. More importantly, it would also make muscle contraction and movement difficult for them for a full two minutes. This would make it much easier for him to connect with further attacks. The problem was Viktor didn’t have anyone to practice this technique on, because it’s not like he could just walk up to someone and ask them for their permission to ******** with their chakra. Looked like he’d have to practice on himself. Sighing, Viktor focuses chakra into the palm of his hand. He does this for a while until it feels just right, and his hand is actually vibrating. “This feels right but I have to test it out so… well, here I go,” Viktor places the palm of his hand against his chest, and the effect is immediate. He feels his muscle’s contract. His vision goes blurry to the point he could barely see. It was painful, annoying, but also wonderful. Anyone Viktor used this on would experience the same effects and in the middle of a fight it would definitely work in his favor.

Hsing-I Pakua: Vibrating Palm 3/3 LEARNED

The last complex technique of the fourth stage of Hsing-I Pakua. It was a kind of grapple technique. While Viktor wasn’t exactly a huge fan of grappling techniques most of the time, this one definitely seemed like it would be incredibly useful. The effects were immediate, and deadly. Well, not exactly deadly, but it would definitely knock someone out. Walking up to the training dummy he had knocked down earlier, Viktor picks it up and steps behind it. Like with Rushing Spirit, he would manipulate his chakra and send it throughout his body. Instead of increasing his speed though. This would increase his strength. As strong as Viktor was the extra strength was kind of unnecessary, but he guessed it couldn’t hurt. With his enhanced strength, Viktor would wrap his arms around the dummy and, lifting it high over his head, would then turn just to spike it on its head in a very damaging body drop. Ah… beautiful.

Hsing-I Pakua: Dragon Raising Then Crashing 3/3 LEARNED

The final technique in this stage of Hsing-I Pakua was simple, and quite straightforward. It was definitely useful though. Consisting of a barrage of punches, Viktor would put anyone on the defensive with this technique. As a literal master of Taijutsu, at least a few would always get through. Picking up the training dummy once again, Viktor stands in front of it and gets ready. He waits… and waits… and waits… then explodes into movement. Stepping up close to the training dummy, Viktor would unleash a massive array of about ten machine gun style punches to a single point on its body, nearly cracking the thing in the process.

Hsing-I Pakua: Rushing Rooster 2/2 LEARNED

Hsing-I Pakua: Stage 4 MASTERED

Viktor decides to move on to the next fighting style, wanting to get the first few stages of it out of the way. This style was known as Xinyi Liuhe Quan. The first technique in the style was a simple one. Viktor holds his hand out in front of him with the palm opened and sideways. From here, he executes a diagonal palm attack to connect with the shoulder of the training dummy.
Xinyi Liuhe Quan: Shishi Ashi [Lion Paw] 1/1 LEARNED
This technique was simple as well, but it was useful. Viktor could definitely see him using it against an enemy sometime in the future. He quickly executes a volley of fast fists aimed at no particular part of the training dummy. He was simply trying to hit anywhere he could, and that was the point of the technique.

Xinyi Liuhe Quan: Tora no Kobushi [Tiger Fists] 1/1 LEARNED

Another simple technique. This one required careful aim and position, but Viktor was sure the payoff would be worth it. Crouching down he takes careful aim. Then, he leaps up and sends an uppercut into the jaw of the training dummy. An uppercut so powerful that it lifted the dummy high in the air.

Xinyi Liuhe Quan: Ryu Kiba [Dragon Fang] 1/1 LEARNED

Viktor thinks for a moment about the techniques he had learned so far. Right now it was looking to him like he’d been neglecting more defensive techniques. Lucky for him, the next one was a very defensive technique, that would allow him to be able to parry and counterattack a series of taijutsu or bukijutsu related attacks. He didn’t have anyone to fight, but Viktor didn’t care. He simply closed his eyes and visualized in front of him an opponent. In his mind, Viktor’s opponent would begin attacking him ruthlessly. Viktor would then spend the next few minutes parrying some of these pretend attacks, finally stopping to move on to more techniques.

Xinyi Liuhe Quan: Gurindesutini [Crouching Tiger] 1/1 LEARNED

The last technique in the first stage of Xinyi Luhe Quan. Viktor assumes a powerful stance, both legs tightened and slightly spread and his arms tucked to the side in fists. He would wait in front of the dummy for a while, and then suddenly thrust his right hand’s index finger forward in a fierce jab. Viktor would then be surprised to see that his finger would easily be able to pierce the straw dummy. He knew from the technique’s description that he would be able to just as easily pierce skin, and to him that was pretty amazing. Viktor decides that while he’s doing this he might as well make the most of it. There was another technique in the second stage of this style that was basically an extension to the one he was using right now, so there was no point in waiting to try it out any longer. So, finger still piercing the straw dummy, Viktor would burst the chakra in his finger forward. Using this on a human would cause radial internal damage, possibly taking their life if Viktor could manage to strike in a vital location. Feeling around inside the dummy with his finger, he could tell that yes, this did indeed work. Viktor was quite amazed. What a great technique this was! And all it required was a single finger. He would definitely keep this in mind when fighting in the future.

Xinyi Liuhe Quan: Gao Tetsushi [Roaring Iron Finger] 1/1 LEARNED

Xinyi Liuhe Quan: Stage 1 MASTERED

Xinyi Liuhe Quan: Fukumigoe no Sho-ro [Cry of a Muffled Voice] 1/1 LEARNED

Two more techniques in the second stage of this style and Viktor could move on to other things. This one seemed pretty useful. At the very least, he would be able to land a sneaky attack on his opponents. At least, that’s what Viktor told himself. Performing a very swift rotational sidestep on one foot, he would meanwhile lift the opposite hand to land a sneaky whiplash bow on his target. His target of course being the face of the training dummy he was ‘fighting’.

Xinyi Liuhe Quan: Bibu no Mouko [Tail of the Fierce Tiger] 1/1 LEARNED

This was the last technique Viktor would be learning of the Xinyi Liuhe Quan style. That is, it was the last technique he would learning for now. In his opinion, it was rather underwhelming but hey it couldn’t help to learn right? Viktor stands in front of his training dummy, legs spread slightly apart and arms tucked at his sides. Palms out, he would lean inward and perform a swift body blow with both his hands. Now, this technique would never do much in the form of damage, but Viktor would immediately notice its main purpose upon performing the technique. That is because, the result of this technique, was Viktor sending the training dummy flying to land more than thirty feet away from him. Viktor shrugs, not impressed, and decides to move on to something else.

Xinyi Liuhe Quan: Soudou Sho [Double Pulsating Palms] 1/1 LEARNED

Xinyi Liuhe Quan Stage 2 MASTERED

The next style Viktor would be working on, Sazanami, was much like the last two. It focused on pinpoint strikes. Defeating his opponents easily and swiftly without excess damage. It sounded good to him, so he figured this was a good style to move on to. First he would have to practice one of the many stances in the style, simply called Footing One. It was a simple stance that didn’t give him many benefits at all, so as soon as he learned a more advanced stance he would stop using this one. For now, Viktor gets into the stance. In this stance Viktor would stand casually, his feet placed a small distance apart. This would provide him with some extra stability when facing an opponent. Viktor gets in the stance and, feeling good about it almost immediately, moves on to more important techniques.

Sazanami: Footing One 1/1 LEARNED

Viktor would need a partner for this next technique. Moving throughout the dojo, he goes off to find someone to help him out. Luckily enough, he is able to find another shinobi the same rank as him who was also working on Sazanami. Telling the guy what he would like to do, the other shinobi agrees to train together, or at least on the techniques that would require a partner. After agreeing to this, Viktor goes to stand a few feet away from his training partner. Getting into his stance, he nods and tells the guy to come at him. He runs at Viktor and, as he gets closer to him, throws out a punch. Raising his left hand, Viktor simply deflects the punch off to the side, causing it to go off course and miss him. The two of them repeat this process a few times until he feels good about it and they decide to go to the next stage.

Sazanami: Pary 1/1 LEARNED

Sazanami: Stage 1 MASTERED

Yet another stance. Viktor wasn’t exactly a fan of all these stances, but he had to learn them. Who knew, they might all come in handy sometime. This next stance he was about to learn didn’t seem like it would though. It appeared it was mostly used when training. Again though, it was something he had to learn to move on. This stance, called Footing Two: Horse Stance, was very different from Footing One. Instead of having his feet a small distance apart and standing casually, he was required to place those feet about a shoulder’s width apart. With his feet like this, he would sink down by bending his knees. He seemed to sink down too much though, looking like he could actually be sitting on a bench. However, this was actually the way it was supposed to be. It looked weird, but Viktor was doing it right.

Sazanami: Footing Two: Horse Stance 1/1 LEARNED

Viktor, requiring the help of his training partner once again, walks up to said partner. He explains to him that he had to see if he could perform this technique right, and the only way to tell for sure would be if he used it against another person. The guy agrees of course and stands in front of Viktor, arms at his sides as he waits for the boy to strike him. Viktor raises his fists, and silently hopes that it would only require one try to get this technique right. He’d been doing great so far, so it should this time. He’d even practiced this technique before coming to the dojo by striking a bell to ring it, yet not moving the shell of that bell. Using this skill, Viktor strikes his training partner in the chest. He gets the desired result. That result being his training partner feeling a small amount of pain and as if he couldn't breathe.

Sazanami: Bell Ring 1/1 LEARNED

Sazanami: Stage 2 MASTERED

There were two techniques in the third stage of Sazanami that required a partner to learn them. Deciding to get these out of the way so he could leave his partner alone, Viktor tells him his plan. His partner agrees, deciding that Viktor had a point. The sooner they got the techniques that required a partner out of the way the sooner they could go off and train on their own. That is, until the fourth stage where they would stop. In any case, the two decide to practice the technique Sweeping Strike first. To begin, Viktor’s partner would throw his fist at him to punch him. Stepping into the attack, Viktor would gently redirect it with his forward hand – the left one – and follow up by thrusting his palm up into the other boy’s jaw. Done with that, they move onto another technique.

Sazanami: Sweeping Strike 2/2 LEARNED

The next technique was also a bit of a counter. Well, not exactly a counter because no strikes were thrown but… it was defensive? Viktor was fine with that though. There was nothing wrong with making his opponent’s waste their energy attacking him. The more they did, the more opportunities he would have to strike back. Just like with the previous technique, Viktor’s training partner would punch him. This time though Viktor wouldn’t respond by deflecting the blow. Instead he would sidestep the attack. Now that might not seem like much, but he wouldn’t stop there. After sidestepping the attack, Viktor would grab his partner’s outstretched limb before its momentum is lost. Pivoting to keep the movement going he would yank the limb in the direction it was sent in, throwing his partner greatly off balance and even almost forcing him to stumble. They repeat this a few times before deciding to go and practice alone for a while.

Sazanami: Attack Redirection: Upper Body 2/2 LEARNED

The last two techniques in the third stage of Sazanami weren't exactly techniques. They focused more on footwork, moving around to avoid attacks completely rather than deflecting and countering. Well, this next one at least. The technique after this one might be useful for other things, but for now Viktor would focus on the task at hand. Learning the Half-Step. To start, he gets into his Footing One stance. Afterwards, well… he simply moves around. Moving around about two feet at a time, he dodges imaginary attacks. After dodging these imaginary attacks he would counter with a punch of his own. Viktor repeats this process for some time before he feels comfortable about it.

Sazanami: Half-Step 2/2 LEARNED

This would be yet another step. This step was a bit more useful offensively than the Half-Step, but it required a bit of prior setup. It could, however, reinforce the offensive techniques of Sazanami. Because of that, it was actually rather useful. At least, to Viktor it was. Different that the prior dodge, Viktor actually starts by running straight forward. Visualizing that he’s running at an actual person, he waits for the perfect time. In his mind as he gets closer to the person, that person punches at him. Immediately, Viktor reacts with a fluid spinning movement to dodge the imaginary attack. Now it was time to move on the next stage and learn some more useful crap! But then... you know what... Viktor was ******** tired. Maybe it was time to rest up a bit and even try socializing with someone?

-----ғinally on my own again, I could focus on finishing my training for the day. There was still quite a bit left on my list, and the more I got finished the better. First though would be to finish learning the Zama no Chiyu. And in order to do that, I had to center myself again. This time making sure there was no way someone could trip over me, I sat with my back pressed against the wall of the dojo and, taking a deep breath, closed my eyes to focus on my surroundings again.
-----It took but a moment to reattain the state of mind. I had to abolish the frustrations of everything that had happened after my interruption, focus on a calm and collected demeanor. I wasn't angry at Wanryoku, and certainly not Kazumi. In fact, interacting with them had been somewhat relaxing, and allowed me to better concentrate on finishing this.

[Hakemoto Clan: Zama no Chiyu [State of Healing] 7/11]

-----What was involved in healing? I knew generally how the body worked. Cells gathered at the wound's location, cutting off blood flow and patching the damaged area with temporary tissue. Depending on the gravity of the wound, that tissue was either replaced with skin or scar tissue. If I was right, then utilizing chakra sped up that process, allowing the body to heal more quickly.

[Hakemoto Clan: Zama no Chiyu [State of Healing] 8/11]

-----Was it the same for healing general aches and pains? How did I transfer that ability to others? The description had explained that an aura of chakra pulsed to allow myself and allies to be healed by it. I had to gather this healing chakra and expand it outward from me, but control it so it only healed allies.

[Hakemoto Clan: Zama no Chiyu [State of Healing] 9/11]

-----I tried to envision a healing touch, but as of yet, I hadn't experienced it. Or had I?
-----The first time I was taken into the city was when I was nine. It had been an amazing experience. But it was also the first time I encountered a shinobi. My mother had turned her back for a moment and I'd run off because she wasn't looking. I ran into someone. The kid had been hot-headed and snarky, and had managed to rile me up. As the angry child I was, I tried to pick a fight, and it ended badly. I almost lost an eye for it. Having been rushed to the hospital there, another shinobi, a woman, had done something that healed the wound and saved my eye. It left scars, yes, but that was my punishment.
-----The woman's touch had been gentle and kind, and above all calm. Just a few moments ago, Kazumi had done the same thing when she made sure I hadn't hurt myself when she tripped over me.

[Hakemoto Clan: Zama no Chiyu [State of Healing] 10/11]

-----I understood it. That kindness and gentleness was how this state worked. It would be hard to keep controlled, but if I could, I could possibly save someone's life. I opened my eyes as my chakra pulsed outward. I could almost see the green aura of it before it faded away, and I realized the aches I had from earlier's training had completely disappeared. I grinned slightly. Apparently it was time for round two.

Her eyes glanced away for just a moment to measure up her falling state. But that was the mistake. Doki thought she had him at just the feeling. The impact of the kick she felt and even his weight buckling down. So she was sure that there would be no need to look back. Hah! An idiot's eager mistake. --Huh?! Certainly, the green haired ninja didn't expect him to attempt a comeback. She should have never looked away even if it costed her a second. Because now he pulled her even closer, about ready to sling the rest of her body to an awkward angle. Her wide eyes tightened. So his muscles weren't just for decoration. He was maintaining vigor. Crap..! But! She wasn't about to let the rest of his ploy follow through. Will she fail? Nah, that's the wrong conversation. Because this was still to her advantage. By being near him in her position had already given her better access to his head.

Using the leg that she kicked him with, her leg tightly clutched his shoulder to then slither across his neck in effort to bring him back down. Her other leg kicking the base blade of his right shoulder to throw off his oncoming attack. However he had already released it, causing just the sole of her foot to brush against it. The slight friction however could still very well impact it. Because with that leg out, the shinobi had thrust her left palm (after releasing his arm) up his forearm to sway the blow a blade's margin from her face. Her right arm however wrangled out of his grip in the ensuing struggle. And although she managed to counter his attack, she fulfilled her purpose. What she did by kicking the second time allowed her weigh to fully weigh him down after the hook. If nothing was done, both would slam down. In his case, Black could suffer a pin clutch.

-----ι pushed myself back to my feet, dusting off the back of my pants, and picked up the bokken once more from where I had dropped it. Likewise, the green tone of my chakra faded away as I released the Zama no Chiyu aura. Yet the revitalized feeling remained. It was amazing.
-----Now I could start into the stage three, the C-ranked techniques of the Bukijutsu styles I had chosen, beginning with the Kiss of Flesh and Steel again. I looked at the list of techniques for it. There were four, and all simple techniques, so they would go quickly. And, of course, just like before, the names were bizarre.
-----The first was a series of swings that brought the user uncomfortably close to their enemy to deliver a punch while they were caught off guard. It would be a good tactic of I was against a ranged fighter, or to get around a larger weapon. Readying the bokken, I held it loosely in my left hand. I swung it forward, horizontally, back the opposite direction, and then a third time to shove my invisible enemy's weapon out of the way. Now inches from them, I shoved my fist into their gut.

[Kiss of Flesh and Steel: Furue Koushin [Trembling Lips] C-Rank :: Simple 1/1 LEARNED]

-----The next technique was an evasion maneuver as well as an attack. When in a deadlock with another weapon, the user would parry to the side and, flipping backwards to put distance between them. As always, it was somewhat awkward parrying something that wasn't there, and there was no leverage to push me into the motion, but I sidestepped an invisible weapon and, pushing myself backward and then over on my hands, I kicked up into my invisible enemy's face.

[Kiss of Flesh and Steel: Fuki Seppun [Accidental Kiss] C-Rank :: Simple 1/1 LEARNED]

-----I wasn't even going to think about what this one was called, but it was an interesting move nonetheless. By dodging excessively or feigning a fall, one could turn it into a kick to knock their opponent off balance. Mock dodging a swing from my enemy, I let myself fall backward. I caught myself with my hands and swung my legs upward in an arch, spinning up to my feet.

[Kiss of Flesh and Steel: Kisumaku [Hickey] C-Rank :: Simple 1/1 LEARNED]

-----The last one would be tricky from the ground. I could hoist myself on my arms with little issue, but backwards wasn't as daunting as going forwards. Besides, the last of the four could use either the leg or sword. And it worked better if I had the higher ground. Seeing as the area was flat, that wasn't an option. Even the scroll said it wasn't very practical. Taking a deep breath, I took one, two steps forward to give me momentum, and then flipped forward, touching the ground briefly with my hands so my head wouldn't hit. I swung out with both legs, pushed off with my hands to land, and rebounded as my feet hit to get rid of the shock.

[Kiss of Flesh and Steel: Boushi Shita [Spinning Tongue] C-Rank :: Simple 1/1 LEARNED]

-----Moving on to the Shunkan no Hagane style, I returned to the scroll to read through them. Two of the four stage three techniques were attacks, two were training. I decided to start with the attacks.
-----The first basically took the strokes of a kanji symbol, or something similar, and turned them into an attack. It was very similar to the basic steps I had always used with specific patterns to strike. I used the first thing that came to mind: fire. It was four strokes to write, so it was four swings to form. Shifting my right foot forward, I swung the bokken downward diagonally from left to right and then grabbed it in both hands swinging right to left diagonally. From there, I reversed my grip, bringing it up diagonally over my right shoulder. Finally, I returned my grip to normal and swung it just like the first move.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Calligraphy C-Rank :: Simple 1/1 LEARNED]

-----The next skill literally did as the title suggested: it extended the length of my weapon by a few inches. I swung once, twice, and more, each time gaining momentum until I could almost see the air warp around the wooden sword. The moment I saw it, I brought the bokken over my head in both hands and then straight down in front of me. To my amazement, the wind wrapped around the sword cut into the ground even though it didn't touch it.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Extension C-Rank :: Simple 1/1 LEARNED]

-----Next was a simple practice, a way of centering myself to prevent me from being knocked off balance. It was in preparation for the style's later stances, but also benefited in normal combat. Bringing the bokken to rest at my side, I breathed deeply and closed my eyes. Just like in earlier's mediation, I was able to find my center and calm my chakra. That was getting easier to do.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Solid Footing C-Rank :: Practice 1/1 LEARNED]

-----For the next one, I didn't have a wire to attempt to walk on but the roof of the building would be a good place. I liked high places. They gave me a better view of my surroundings and were usually secluded. Here in Kumogakure, however, I'd normally avoided it because it brought me closer to the swirling mass of storm clouds overhead.
-----It required walking around the building, but I eventually found a way with handholds close enough together that I could haul myself up to the roof. The roof sloped to a narrow rib along the center, which I climbed on top of. Since I had already centered myself, I started forward. This was something I had done pretty much all of my life and I found it easy. Once I reached the opposite end, I swung over the edge, grabbing it with my hands, and dropped the rest of the way down.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Thread Walking One C-Rank :: Practice 1/1 LEARNED]

-----Finally, the Basai Bagua techniques. Two simple, one training, and a complex technique to learn. This would take a little longer, but not much. I decided to start with the training. According to the scroll, the training was a sort of extension onto the Smooth as Water training I had done before. It would allow me to better maneuver around multiple enemies and trip them up by running into one another.

[Basai Bagua: Circle Walking C-Rank :: Training 1/2]

-----The training was a matter of weaving, but taking steps to dodge without losing balance. I envisioned several enemies before me. Dodging underneath an attack from one, I leaned out of the way of another and the two of them collided. Turning quickly on my heels, I dodged around another and struck them in the back with my bokken.

[Basai Bagua: Circle Walking C-Rank :: Training 2/2 LEARNED]

-----The first of the simple techniques was a deflection that turned a weapon against the enemy. The user struck perpendicular to the enemy's weapon, pushing forward so that it would rebound and strike them in the face. My invisible enemy swung his blade down from overhead. I brought the bokken up to parry, and, just as the scroll stated, pushed the weapon back into his face. With that, I sidestepped, as should be done to avoid an attack.

[Basai Bagua: Slap Deflection C-Rank :: Simple 1/1 LEARNED]

-----The second attack was, simply, a circular swing that covered all three hundred sixty degrees by twisting the body. This was going to be something I could utilize well when I got a second sword. Which required money. For now, one would do. Starting in front of me, I swung outward, away from my body and spun to the left. Half way through, I shifted my weight to the opposite foot to complete the circle, then slowly brought the bokken back to my side.

[Basai Bagua: Flowing Circle C-Rank :: Simple 1/1 LEARNED]

-----The last of this list was the complex technique of the third stage. The scroll defined it as 'spiritual', but didn't provide an explanation. However, it used chakra to add a sudden burst of power to even the most simple of motions, such as deflecting, to make the enemy lose balance. It made it seem as though a heavy weight struck behind the weapon. This would come in handy.

[Basai Bagua: Incoming Tide C-Rank :: Complex 1/2]

-----I started with focusing my chakra into the wooden bokken in my hand. It swirled and rushed around the wood almost like water. Taking it in both hands, I raised it overhead once more, and swung straight down in front of me. With it, I felt the momentum of it increase exponentially, almost throwing me off balance. But, if it were to meet another weapon, that momentum would transfer to it and knock the enemy away.

[Basai Bagua: Incoming Tide C-Rank :: Complex 2/2 LEARNED]

-----ι decided to switch back to the Hakemoto clan techniques for the moment. They had four techniques outside of the six states of being, and two were fairly easy to learn, so I decided to start with those two. I once more pulled the copied scrolls from my bag, glancing around out of pure paranoia. I wasn't supposed to have these, so I couldn't help but subconsciously expect someone to fly out of nowhere and eat my face.
-----Or something.
-----I unrolled the scroll to the first of the techniques. It was known as the Rush of Six Palms. I preferred to use a weapon, but in the situation I didn't have one, this would allow me to deliver a series of blows using chakra so that I wouldn't have to use up my precious stamina. I had never seen it used, but it was described as a flurry of open-handed strikes to the enemy. I assumed it was meant to strike the body's pressure points to disable someone.

[Hakemoto Clan: Rush of Six Palms C-Rank 1/3]

-----The first step was to focus my chakra into my hands, and then further into the palms. I watched my hands as they lit with a vague green light. My chakra. According to the scroll, later on I would be able to apply elemental chakra for added and various effects. My element was Raiton, lightning--oh, the irony--so I might be able to stun an enemy with the blows. For now, normal chakra would do.

[Hakemoto Clan: Rush of Six Palms C-Rank 2/3]

-----Next was how to strike. I didn't know much about the body's pressure points, since I wasn't a Taijutsu user generally, but I did know where to hit and make it hurt. I lunged at my invisible enemy. The first hit his wrist, knocking it away from me. Second, straight forward with the other hand, hitting his shoulder and pushing him back. While he staggered, I brought the third blow to his lower gut, staggering him again. Before he could fall, the fourth blow cuffed him on the ear, closely followed by the fifth under his chin. That was quickly followed by the final hit to the solar plexus, winding him and knocking him flat.

[Hakemoto Clan: Rush of Six Palms C-Rank 3/3 LEARNED]

-----The second one was almost exactly like the Rush of Six Palms, but focused on the legs rather than the hands. That was something I preferred. It meant I could keep my weapon in hand and still deal painful blows to my enemy. And, just like the other technique, I wouldn't have to waste my stamina on the blows. This is where it varied from actual Taijutsu and benefited me more.

[Hakemoto Clan: Dash of Six Feet C-Rank 1/3]

-----Releasing the focus chakra in my hands to practice my control, I turned my attention to my legs. That was a much larger area, which meant not as much chakra would be focused in a single spot. However, the legs had the advantage of weight and power that simple palm strikes lacked. I gathered my chakra there, until, like my palms, the sheen of energy appeared.

[Hakemoto Clan: Dash of Six Feet C-Rank 2/3]

-----To keep things simple, I went with a similar attack pattern as the palm strikes, but with the lower body instead. I lunged at my invisible enemy once more, bringing a leg around to strike him in the side first. Continuing my momentum around, I struck the knee. Regaining my balance, I struck the knee straight on, and then higher, in the groin. As he collapsed forward, I brought my own knee straight up into his chin. Finally I swept he legs out from under him with a strike to the back of the knees.

-----ι decided to change subjects again, just to keep things interesting. I would always prefer to have a sword in my hand, but that wouldn't always be available, in which case I would need to use physical attacks, since I was in no way adept at using Ninjutsu or Genjutsu. I could use both, but not very well. That's why I needed a well rounded basis with physical attacks.
-----I had chosen the Tame Za Kyokudo style to learn as my Taijutsu style, since it utilized hands and feet. It was designed from boxing, with powerful but precise blows to incapacitate the enemy. There were two basic techniques that would go rather quickly. I tossed the bokken to the side, where it landed with a dull thud, and turned to read the scroll. The first technique was a bluff followed by a full powered jab, catching them off guard. Simple enough. Standing straight, I raised both fists up in front of me, right forward since it was my weaker hand. I jabbed forward with my right, bringing the left back to my shoulder. As soon as my right arm was straight, I pulled it back and punch forward with my left.

[Tame Za Kyokudo: Resu Tame Taibu E-Rank 1/1 LEARNED]

-----The second of the two techniques utilized chakra, focusing it in the knuckles so that even if it missed or fell short it could cut the enemy. Not to mention it would add significant power to the punch itself. Like the Rush of Six Palms, I focused my chakra into my fist, and then forward to the knuckles instead of the palm. Then, drawing my left arm back, I threw the fist and my shoulder forward to strike. As my arm straightened, I sent the chakra forward in a swirl, add several inches to my arm's length.

[Tame Za Kyokudo: Rosutoai E-Rank 1/1 LEARNED]

-----From here, things would be a bit more complicated. There was one technique in the second stage of the style. According to the scroll, Tsuyoi Senkou was a technique to throw the enemy to the ground by hooking the leg behind their head and dragging them down. It seemed kind of impractical to me, but that was what it said to do.

[Tame Za Kyokudo: Tsuyoi Senkou D-Rank 1/3]

-----The problem was that it required a high kick that wouldn't be possible if the enemy was taller. Which was the case for me in most situations. The best ways someone like me could utilize this were to jump--the least practical--, fall from above them--a little more practical--, or hook them when they ducked--the most practical, but still not useful. For now though, all I had to do was learn it. I could figure out how to use it later.

[Tame Za Kyokudo: Tsuyoi Senkou D-Rank 2/3]

-----Envisioning my enemy, they lunged for me, falling low enough that I would be able to reach them. Shifting to the side to dodge them I swung my leg up and around behind their neck. Before I lost balance, I brought the leg back down, effectively pulling them with it. While if the enemy were too much heavier--like the giant, Wanryoku, for example--it wouldn't work, it could work on lighter opponents, since the legs made up approximately half of the body's mass.

[Tame Za Kyokudo: Tsuyoi Senkou D-Rank 3/3 LEARNED]
[Stage Two Mastered; Passive strength bonus obtained, small passive reflex bonus obtained]

-----Like stage two, stage three only had one technique. Likewise, the stage three technique, Kire Ono, was very similar to the stage two technique. The user would bring their leg over the head of their enemy and bring it down, smashing them down rather than knocking them down. Unlike the other, there was a chance for a fast escape afterward, since they didn't need to detach themselves from their enemy.

[Tame Za Kyokudo: Kire Ono C-Rank 1/4]

-----Again, though, this technique wasn't very useful, especially against taller or heavier opponents, since I was neither. I had three choices, none of which worked very well. I was pretty sure this was something that should be used when I was taller. Even then, there'd probably be plenty of taller people. Sighing, I stood up to try it out.

[Tame Za Kyokudo: Kire Ono C-Rank 2/4]

-----I had always been flexible and agile. Years of fighting and people making sure I was in good shape made sure of that, but these techniques really pushed that. A high kick? That wasn't generally in my arsenal of attacks unless I was kicking up from the ground. If I wasn't careful, I could pull a muscle, which would make training all the harder because I would have to wait for it to recover or risk permanent damage.

[Tame Za Kyokudo: Kire Ono C-Rank 3/4]

-----Shaking out my limbs, I focused on my invisible enemy again. Like before, he lunged and I sidestepped. I swung my leg up and around, bringing it down on the back of his neck as he passed me with as much force as I could muster. He slammed, face-first, into the ground. I reset my stance, letting my leg fall back into place and my momentum die off.

-----мoving back to the Bukijutsu techniques since the first three stages of the Tame Za Kyokudo were out of the way, I picked up the bokken again. I had finished everything that was easy. From here on out, they would start taking longer to learn. Unfortunately. At least the techniques were getting more interesting.
-----I started with the Shunkan no Hagane this time, since it had the most techniques in the fourth stage. Nine, to be exact, eight of which were attacks and one of which was a practice. One of the attacks, I wasn't supposed to learn yet, so that took one off of my list. To get it out of the way, I would do the practice first. It was a sort of sensory, but instead of chakra signatures it was sound. I had to enhance my perceptiveness by focusing on my surroundings. That hearing would allow me to notice sounds subconsciously, which could save my life some day.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Sensory Information - B :: Practice 1/3]

-----More meditating, but that was alright. There would be plenty of it left even after this short one. I relaxed my stance, letting the bokken fall to my side, and closed my eyes. Taking a deep breath, I focused on my surroundings. Water against the rocks in the nearby pond, someone training inside the dojo, birds, the wind. But I could hear those without trying. No, I needed to focus more.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Sensory Information - B :: Practice 2/3]

-----I strained my hearing, focusing on the sounds of the birds. The trees were a good distance away, so it took a great focus. But I could hear their individual calls. One twittered, and an answering call came from a tree nearby. Another took off in a flurry of feathers. I could almost envision it, almost see them, form the scene in my minds eye. If I could focus on such finite details at a distance. I would be able to hear something closer without thinking.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Sensory Information - B :: Practice 3/3 LEARNED]

-----First of the attacks was called Illusory Double. It was essentially a double strike, in quick succession. A short thrust, pull back slightly, and stab again. It was simple, but effective. As long as the person wasn't wearing armor anyway. It could be used to debilitate someone, or end their life, if aimed properly. It could also be used as a feint.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Illusory Double - B :: Simple 1/3]

-----I raised my bokken again, holding it ready, pulled against my left hip, held in both hands. Like usual, I envisioned an enemy before me, this particular one wearing no armor. Lack of armor meant they were open to a hit almost anywhere, but it also meant they were quicker on their feet. Lunging forward, I jabbed him in the ribs, drew back, and then struck slightly higher.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Illusory Double - B :: Simple 2/3]

-----Against an armored opponent things would be a bit trickier. I was very limited to where I could strike, and armor varied in design. However, usually armor just covered the torso, so I could aim for the shoulders, the neck, arms, legs, or, if I'm feeling lucky, the head. This particular time, I aimed for the shoulders. Holding the bokken at my left shoulder this time, I lunged forward again, into my enemy's shoulder once, twice, and then drew back again.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Illusory Double - B :: Simple 3/3 LEARNED]

-----The second attack I chose was called Twin Blade. It was similar to Extension in that it applied chakra to the blade for a strike. But unlike it, the wind blade struck after the first hit, not as a continuation of it. Essentially, it was like the Illusory Double without a physical second strike, and didn't have to be a stab. This was something I could utilize quite well, especially if I had a second blade. Four hits, instead of just one.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Twin Blade - B :: Simple 1/3]

-----The first objective was to focus my chakra into the bokken. That was getting easier every time. Before long, controlling chakra would be effortless. I would be able to apply it wherever I needed to provide an extra boost in power or in defense. I looked down at the bokken, and raised it as the green sheen of chakra covered it.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Twin Blade - B :: Simple 2/3]

-----Finally, I raised the wooden blade to strike. Taking it in both hands, I swung around over my head and brought it straight down in front of me. Shifting my weight forward, I sung it back up diagonally. Both times, a 'blade' of air followed in the bokken's path, almost like an afterimage. A dangerous one at that.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Twin Blade - B :: Simple 3/3 LEARNED]

With his shoulder having the leg she kicked him with previously lift and clutch his shoulder, it then proceeded to slither across his neck to push him back downwards. Though this was not enough to stop him from sending his attack through, but that was up until a foot that was still free kicked into his right shoulder, not so much as throwing it completely off for the punch would head straight for her face but the sudden strike of her left palm that went up his forearm. The price those limbs had to pay for such retaliation would not be high but a bit low seeing as they were more of a slick skinning of his posture. Possibly left in pain if not feel as if jammed, as he started to fall back. Her weight was something that was not of complete worry, as he had been training for such things for a long time. Just before she would slip from his grasp, Black's very body began to generate a thin black aura. His eyes deeming as he would fall downwards, and his lips releasing a peaceful sigh. Just as the shinobi would be about to hit the ground, his arm would quickly sweep and grasp the leg of the kunoichi; the one closest to him, being the very pinning one.

Both fell but it would have seemed he had taken quite the brunt of the assault, however this was not the case thanks to his Invigorating Armor technique. His physical form would reach the peak of potential as his body became durable, his strength great, and his defense heightened. Though this was not where it ended! After grasping her leg by the ankle he would snatch it just to the side of his neck to be positioned over the ground. His core tensing as he raised his lower half to raise his legs just above her body, and to wrap around her waist. This would be to yank her back with his own legs so to have her positioned on top of her head and have him sit up completely. If she did not retaliate by this time, the shinobi would wrap his arms around the upside down waist, motioning his legs to lower to her chest region and swing his body with all his might backwards in order to lift off the ground and flip backwards to send the kunoichi landing flat on her head in the form of a back flip pile driver. With such power drilled and momentum shot towards her skull it'd be more than enough to daze her for a moment, for it was a big doubt she'd end just like that. Nor was it expectant, having Black quickly roll backwards and away to a kneel position watching her; this being if she was caught within the driver.

Rin, Tin and Jin [Just standing and watching, by no means are bothering to fight or be used to fight]
Rin, Tin and Jin are young red panda, they are small but quite useful for varieties of combat. They get tired easily and can only be on the field for five posts, but their speed and power more than makes up for their limited use. They are faster than the larger bears and can match an Anbus speed easily, they are also excellent trackers for use in any situation.

    Taijutsu used in Fight
    Iron Backhand
    Rank: C :: Complex -20 Stamina -10 Chakra
    Description:
Using a surge of chakra to purposely startle the body, the practitioner looses a quick and powerful backhanded strike to the target. The chakra pulsed through the body allows this particular attack to be delivered when others would be too slow to deal with something such as a sneaking opponent, but also maintains the force needed to crack or break bones.

    Invigorating Armor
    Rank: B :: Armor -40 Stamina -20 Chakra
    Description:
An advanced Armor technique that was actually developed by a struggling young practitioner of The Kaiser Fist. This technique, like Stimulating Armor, allowed him to maintain his peak physical potential; however it also moderately increased his physical attack and defense. While active, he was noted of generating a thin aura of chakra.

-----ηext on the list, according to the scroll, was a continuation of Calligraphy. It was the same, but faster and more difficult to work with. The scroll described the technique as being able to cut through muscle into the bone, whereas Calligraphy was just grazing blows. It was a blur of movements, supposedly, that only those faster than me could perceive. Considering I was naturally agile, that made the number few.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Brush Stroke - B :: Simple 1/3]

-----First was to make sure I still had the motions down. I used the same kanji as before, the one for fire, and repeated my motions.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Brush Stroke - B :: Simple 2/3]

-----Now to make it faster. I repeated the motions a second and a third time, each time moving slightly faster than the last. Finally, motions memorized, holding bokken ready, I went a fourth time. Two short strokes downward, reverse my grip and bring it back up, reverse my grip and swing back down for the fourth cut. Shifting my weight back to the original stance, I lowered my bokken.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Brush Stroke - B :: Simple 3/3 LEARNED]

-----Like Brush Stroke, the next one was also a continuation, but of Twin Blade, not Calligraphy. I knelt again to look at the scroll. It defined Hydra Strike as an enhancement of Twin Blade where instead of a double strike with just one cut, a chain was created. It had no lose of speed or power as long as my momentum kept up.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Hydra Strike - B :: Simple 1/3]

-----The first objective was to focus my chakra into the bokken. That was getting easier every time. Before long, controlling chakra would be effortless. I would be able to apply it wherever I needed to provide an extra boost in power or in defense. Like before, I looked down at the bokken, and raised it as the green sheen of chakra covered it.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Hydra Strike - B :: Simple 2/3]

-----I slashed forward, watching the air blade follow just after it. Spinning out of it, I continued my strikes, hitting my enemy in the shoulder, the chest, the hip, and finally across the throat. Each time he was hit twice, once by the bokken and again in the same place by the chakra blade. Finishing, I brought the wooden sword back to my side.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Hydra Strike - B :: Simple 3/3 LEARNED]

-----Skipping a couple of techniques on the list for the moment, I jumped to the last one. It was called Advance of Steel, and was used to add power and momentum to my attacks. It involved a quick forward motion, continuing into a chain that would, in theory, be hard to block. I wouldn't be able to test its effectiveness until I could fight with it.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Advance of Steel - B :: Simple 1/3]

-----It didn't quite make sense to me why or how it increased the effectiveness of my attacks. My only guess really was momentum. Momentum could win out against power in many situations, because this was all about stamina. The more stamina one had, the longer they could last in battle, after all. Standing again, I readied the bokken.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Advance of Steel - B :: Simple 2/3]

-----I moved forward almost right away, stabbing straight ahead of me with the wooden sword. From it, I spun, swinging in a wide circle around me, and then quickly proceeded through the eight steps I always so fervently practiced. As I finished, out of pure habit, I returned the bokken to my side, as if sheathing it.

[Shunkan no Hagane: Advance of Steel - B :: Simple 3/3 LEARNED]

She was glad to have avoided his backhand for the most part. And when his fist passed, she could tell from the whipping impact that blows like that must be avoided in the future. He's capable, as he should be. Noted the kunoichi for her gaze was now splicing through their current movements. And he fell, like she had hoped from the impact her leg loosened. But then he again managed to drag her forward with his legs hooking her out. Even after that kick, he's able to recover so quickly! Of course. Despite not being a specialist, Doki was praising Black. Because she had seen it. Slight but visible enough chakra giving him that coated look. So it was chakra he equipped as a buffer to withstand the damages and investment in his vigor? She did however suffer a slight cut on the cheek from that backhand.

At any rate, Doki was falling forward with almost no time left. Currently her gaze was focused on the ground where her head might experience the trauma if nothing was done. Immediately she pressed chakra into the nodes of her body to radiate from her forearms that were now outward. From there the chakra was spent towards spot on the ground where her head-first landing was imminent. That way, absorbing damage was safest even at this angle. Sorry, Black. But Doki wasn't about to be the fool today. "Hup!" Her arms collided with the ground and had absorbed the lesser impact. But that would not end from there. Doki was out for becoming unrivaled in close combat quarters.

This was just the beginning. She would spin in the opposite direction to wrest from his grip to send a horizontal kick from his right to knock him across. Should it meet.

"Life can be as cold as I can be."

[1/1] Her next training was that of a simple genjutsu, replacing the open scrolls on the wall in front of her with that of multiple types of genjutsu. One of the most simplistic genjutsu required next to no effort at all, being of basic depth distortion. After a few practiced attempts, her hand signs were perfected.

[1/3]The next genjutsu was far more devastating and effective in combat as she studied the hand signs associated with it. Designed to ensure that her opponent saw a truly dodged strike as one that landed, Kazumi believed it one of the better ones to learn first. The first wave of chakra that formed in her hands at the initial didn't even feel like a genjutsu, Kazumi frowning before resetting her stance at the assumption that she didn't even get the basic handsign down.

[2/3] The second attempt seemed far more successful as a small aura of snowflakes circled around her hand, directing it further as she made the second handsign. It flowed outwards towards the dummy, soon engulfing it. The technique was just about perfected, the only piece of the puzzle missing being the sword aiming straight for her.

[3/3] Mimicking it as if she had an incoming attack anyway, she walked up towards the dummy before dodging an "incoming blow" while making the third handsign. Her technique had finally been perfected. She was ready to move on.

Leaning over in exhaustion from her training, small beads of water flowed from her face to her nose and dripped towards the floor, becoming snowflakes and freezing before hitting the ground and turning back into their former shape. Determined to take a quick break at least, she walked over to the hole she had made in the wall earlier, the Shinsetsu walking out into the room where she was once was. With her came a rush of air, slightly brushing over everyone as if a soothing winter breeze, chilling all of the students' water droplets. Placing her hands on her hips and leaning against one of the walls to catch her breath, she quickly slumped to the floor and put her entire weight on a wall as she looked around. The most notable thing that Kazumi caught sight of a strange man in dark garb training as well; the stances that he took, the way that he trained...without a doubt, his techniques were that of taijutsu and well performed at that as she simply sat and watched, seeing him eventually tired out and rightfully so after his acrobatics. If he ever locked gazes with her, Kazumi would feel herself smile, albeit tiredly, and wave at him as if waving at an old friend, albeit it a stranger.

"Pride is not the opposite of shame, but its source. True humility is the only antidote to shame."
╔═════════════════════════════════╗
Theme Song of Viktor Banciu

Viktor sighs and rubs the back of his neck, yawning as he does. Doing a brief inspection of his body, he shakes his legs, and then his arms a bit to see how they were doing. As he thought, not even a bit of soreness. Some, particularly anyone who might have been watching him train, might find that shocking. They might think him tired or sore, but that was not the case. Having gotten into as many fights as he had before being adopted by.. his mother? Sister? Whatever, she was his guardian. Having gotten into as many fights as he had before being adopted by her, Viktor just didn't see how one could work up a sweat simply practicing against a training dummy. It just stood there and didn't do anything. What he would give to have a training partner who could actually challenge him. Hell, what he really needed was a sensei. For now he would have to go without one though. Hopefully he wouldn't have to wait long. Lost in his thoughts, Viktor raises his hands up to his face. Grabbing his chin with one hand, and the side of his head with the other, he twists his head to the right. He sighs in contentment as his neck cracks. Repeating the process again, he twists his head again except this time to the left. Just as he does this, he can't help but shiver as a breeze of cool air passes over his body. It was much welcomed after having become uncomfortably warm from all his training. Still, where had that cool breeze come from. Head still turned to the left, Viktor lowers his hands from his face. He doesn't have to wonder for long about the origins of the cool breeze. Some girl had walked into the room from some hole in the wall. She must have been practicing some sort of jutsu. Viktor studies the girl curiously as she leans against the wall, slumping down to the floor tiredly. As he studies the girl, she looks up at him and their gazes lock. Expecting one of those awkward moments when two people accidentally catch themselves looking at each other at the same time, Viktor is taken aback when she raises a hand to wave at him. As if she is waving at an old friend, even though they didn't know each other. It was weird, but he couldn't just NOT wave back. It would be rude. So Viktor raises his own hand and waves back at the girl, although his in comparison was rather awkward. This seemed like a good chance to socialize he couldn't pass up though. Weighing his two options of either training and going to sit next to the whitehaired girl, Viktor decides that he could train at any time. Besides, he still needed to rest. While he wasnb't tired or even working up a sweat, he had obviously been working out for quite a while. It wouldn't do to overwork his muscles accidentally, even if the odds of that happening were minuscule at best. Decision made, Viktor approaches the girl, curiously noting as he does that the closer he got to her the cooler the air became. Of course, he didn't mind. The colder the better. He had always preferred the cold. Perhaps that had something to do with him possessing the Hyouton bloodline. He decides to stop thinking about it, and instead leans against the wall next to the girl, slumping down to sit on the floor next to her. "Hey." His greeting is short and simple, but his voice is friendly enough. This was the first time he'd willingly spoken with anyone who wasn't his guardian, so a simple greeting like this seemed safe enough to him.
