"That was his choice!" N tried to explain as Henrietta went in for another tackle. He merely held her shoulders, not letting her get any closer while not budging an inch with his strong legged stance.
"He didn't want to go with the others. He wanted to stay with me. Darumi and I are friends!"

Darumi stood dumbfounded. He didn't know how to stop them, but he didn't want them to fight either. All he could do was stand there and shout, and only N could hear him saying to stop.
"Liar!" Henrietta shouted. She didn't want to believe it. She didn't want to accept that. She grabbed his arms and tried to push them away. Everything Eunmi taught her, every stance, every form, it was out the window. It wasn't practiced, it wasn't built in and she was too emotional to care.
All she could do was shove those arms and shoot a little fist out, in sloppy form, straight for his face.

“I’m not lying to you,” N told Henrietta calmly as he let go of the shoulder of her attacking arm and caught her wrist easily, stopping her punch altogether. His eyes met her, and he tried to pierce through her tears to get to her heart. “I’m telling you the truth! We’re friends now!” We…”
He stopped. Some other noise was coming from somewhere. A female voice, young and beautiful. She sang a light melody slowly, treating each note with care.
Frère Jacques, frère Jacques, Dormez-vous? Dormez-vous? Sonnez les matines, Sonnez les matines, Din, dan, don. Din, dan, don…
He knew that voice. And his expression morphed from sympathetic to unnerved. N let go of Henrietta an backed off. The singing continued. It was getting closer, louder, bouncing off all the trains and centering in on their ears. “Stop hiding!” he yelled out to the sky. “Stop playing games!”
The singing abruptly stopped, and the voice cooed with amusement. “Little N, have you forgotten your manners? You really must remember to say please.”
N spun around to face the voice. It came from a girl, fair featured with long green hair in a tint just like his. A small antennae of hair was popped up out of place atop her head, and her nearly calf length twin ponytails were tied up with a big black bow. She wore a low cut black shirt underneath a long buttoned up white duster. She had on brown corduroy pants, and on her feet were green boots.
What was unsettling was the big smile underneath her deep green eyes. It was gorgeous, pearly white smile devoid of any signs of compassion. A normal smile was reassuring. This one assured nothing but malicious intent.
She surveyed the scene, first looking amused at the frozen in place N and then turning to Henrietta. Her eyes locked onto the trainers as if Henrietta looking away was not an option. “And I see you made a playmate? Very cute.” Her speaking was unlike his quicker, excited pace. It was sow and deliberate, like every word she said was important. While she spoke, she began to walk towards Henrietta.
“It’s just such a shame that she’ll never play with you again,” she said to him, not looking away from Henrietta at all. Her feet kept moving forward in her slow and menacing stride. "Tell me girl, do you not like to sing either? Is my singing bothering you too?"

Henrietta was stunned. The girl was gorgeous, Henrietta thought. Her cheeks tinged red but she had something more important. N had taken Darumi!
Her fists balled. Nothing. It was like standing in a new world, a new scenario with a new setting. The girl had disrupted the flow of her anger, something about the way she carried herself, the she spoke and her expression. It wasn't something mystical, it was all body language.
Their eyes were locked and Henrietta felt nervous suddenly. Without anger to distract her she was stuck there, frozen. N seemed nervous as well, but he was probably nervous for a different reason, Henrietta thought, somewhere in the back of her mind.
"H-h-hum," was all Henrietta managed.
Darumi, meanwhile, ran over. Now that the fighting was done he could approach, he thought. [N! Etta! Don'tfight!] He tugged Henrietta's dress and then ran over to tug N's pants leg, repeating himself each time.

The girl could barely contain herself. She let out a short laugh. Like he demeanor, there was a fairytale like quality to it. It was also very condescending. It was also very chilling. And she never stopped walking towards Henrietta during it.
"Oh N, this girl is priceless!" The girl cocked her head to the side and held up her hands to her heart as she swooned. Even with Darumi running back and forth, she would not stop to even look at him. If he was in her path, the Darumaka would be kicked aside like a loose stone.
"Look at her! Just a few words and she'll become helpless! Isn't that the cutest thing? A small, pathetic creature losing all hope at once? Ah, that moment is always nice to see. You've kept yourself good company, N."
As she got closer, she began to reach out her fair and manicured hand to Henrietta's head. "She's become a whole new variable in this formula. But you knew that, didn't you?" she asked her brother in her sultry, smoothly seductive voice. Not once did her eyes move away from Henrietta's. It was like iron chains attached their gazes to each other, keeping them shackled together with only the girl holding the key.
N looked on as the girl continued to walk forward. "Don't do anything to her, E-"
"Did you ever tell her the truth? That she's just a small number in an equation with millions of pieces? That her existence in the equation is arbitrary to solving for the necessary variables?"
If she could get close enough, she'd reach out and grab Henrietta's chin gently, holding it like someone who was preparing a kiss. She was almost as tall as N, and so she would tilt the Henrietta's head up slightly so they could see each other face to face.
"That she's expendable?"
She never stopped smiling.

What was she talking about? An equation that she was a piece of? A formula? Henrietta didn't understand it. They were talking about her like she was part of a math problem, but that wasn't possible. She'd only been out on a journey for half a week, there was no way she was part of something bigger than what she was.
A one badged trainer fighting to get her Pokemon back. That was it, her in a nut shell. Timid, shy and frail. When the woman kicked Darumi, he flew aside and Henrietta managed to divert her attention. "Daru-
Then the hand was on her chin and she gave a soft gasp. A shiver, the skin was soft, the touch felt delicate. Henrietta was looking the woman in the eyes again.
Darumi recovered, rolling into a ball and rolling back around to stand between N and Henrietta.
[Hey!] he shouted, [stop that!]
Expendable?
Henrietta's hand rose and she'd take the woman by the wrist, fingers resting, curling with a half willed effort. Trance like, Henrietta thought it. Was it just body language at this point? She wasn't so sure. Part of her screamed at her to run away at the word expendable. To run. Turn and run and not look back.
Instead she said, "wh-who are you? What's going on?"

The girl laughed almost immediately after Henrietta spoke, unflinching as she allowed Henrietta to grasp at her wrist. She truly thought it was funny. "There she goes again! Nothing solid to say. Questions are just words just grasp at answers, nothing more. The people with the questions are weak." She leaned in a little closer, her smile going from large and falsely friendly to small and pseudo sweet. "But me? I have all your answers. And that makes me stronger than you are."
"E!"
The girl turned her head to the side, pouting at N. "You can't kill her, E. She hasn't done anything wrong!" N grit his teeth at the girl who looked like him, casting his hand out to one side like usual as he glared at his opposition. "It isn't right!"
That light, elven laughter came back as eerily enchanting as ever. "Kill her? N, you're really being uncharacteristically irrational today. Were you really planning on letting her go, so she could piece it together? Here, I'll remove that worry for you now."
Quick as a blink, the hand grasping Henrietta's chin shifted up to clutch onto the top of Henrietta scalp. Her nails would dig just deep enough into the trainer's scalp for it to be a slight tingling sensation, like a meticulous bird of prey. And if she let her talons grasp onto Henrietta's head, the girl called E would lift Henrietta up by that one hand until she was inches off the ground and turn her to face the falsely confident looking N.
"Do you know who this man is? Strangers should really be more honest with each other. Very well, I'll let you know then."
And then E's face became a corrupted beauty, devilish with her eyes and smile in an alluring and terrifying way. A happy face that could only be seen as demonic. "This is Lord N, the King of Team Plasma! All hail Team Plasma!"
Should she still have her grip, it would start to become tighter, digging into Henrietta until she started to bleed. And she be forced to look right at N, who looked down at the ground silently and away in shame.
"ALL HAIL LORD N!"

Henrietta flinched at the laughter. It hadn't been that funny, had it? One leg moved back, shifting her posture when the woman moved closer, but it didn't nothing to put distance between them. Henrietta's face, however, tinged a deeper red. Then N spoke.
Kill me?!
Henrietta's arms shot up when E's moved and she'd grab the woman's arm. To no avail, Henrietta was a frail girl. When she was picked up by her head, blood running from her scalp, trickling from the five little wounds - cause head wounds bleed like bastards - she'd begin to flail her legs. Kicks, aiming for E to try and get herself free.
"S-stop!" Henrietta shouted, able to fully compose herself now that she wasn't staring into the woman's eyes. She looked at N. He was plasma? He was the leader of it? HIM!?
Tears were in her eyes, pain and a renewed anger. "You!" her voice was a cry of pain, her expression shifted to show it.
Darumi wasn't going to stand for this. [Lethergo!] he shouted and he tackled for E's midsection.

While E just continued laughing maniacally, N could barely look Henrietta in her pained eyes. "Not like this." He shook his head sadly. "I didn't want you to know like this..."
As Henrietta flailed and Darumi lept for his tackle,
FWIP!
E's laughter began to fade away unnaturally, like the volume had been lowered. Along with it, Henrietta would feel an entirely different hand holding onto her head in the same spot. A small, round hand with three coarse, knobby fingers.
Replacing E's form was that of a Beheeyem, floating in midair where E had just been and holding onto Henrietta in the same way. Darumi's tackle hit nothing during the Ally Switch, so he simply would pass through on the other side. Henrietta's limbs would not touch this pokemon's smaller form.
"You're just too much fun! I can't let a toy like you go to waste! No, no there's no killing you. Tell you what, do you want a new game? A reset?"
E's voice came from above: the green haired girl was sitting atop one of the nearby trains, dangling her legs over the side with one crossed over another. "Memories like this hurt, don't they? But I can take them for you." She smiled cutely while different pitched beeping noises came from the Beheeyem's grasping fingers.
"All it takes is a little black hole in your brain."

Henrietta was in danger. She understood this. Darumi was attacking, too. Dangled over the ground she tried to pull the hand from her head, likely to no avail. "S-stop!" she cried.
She'd die like this, or, memory loss? She didn't want either. She had a plan then, she'd call Eunmi. It was all she could think to do. Drag someone else into her mess. She had one more plan beyond that, but a rescue squad would be nice.
So she'd hit a button or two blindly on her xtransceiver to send the call. Even if E stopped her, she couldn't stop the first ring. The buttons pressed would enter her inbox for texts and a call button on the last text she'd received.
In other words, the call would be sent to Wayne.
How shameful, she thought, dragging other people into it. Still, the idea of dieing, the idea of forgetting, it was too much. She'd lower a hand to click the button on a Pokeball, bringing Melty out point blank at the enemy.
And he was smirking.
[Welcome!] he shouted, releasing the Flame Thrower point blank, only the heat of it being a risk toward Henrietta, [to the Inferno! Don't ******** with my trainer!]
Darumi, meanwhile, rolled around to stop his momentum, coming back up and attacking from the side, a Heatbutt attack.

As soon as the first beep rang, E's face froze into an icy cold serious expression. Her stare went from playful to deadly. "Now."
The Beheeyem complied, creating a noise that sounded like a microwave going off. He held his free hand out behind him, facing both Melty and Darumi. A Psychic wave went off from the hand, blasting out in response to the Flamethrower. The fire was extinguished upon contact, not powerful enough to withstand the sheer telekinetic force. It would fly to the pokemon and, on contact, would slam them into the ground with enough force that their bodies would create accurate molds of themselves imprinted into the concrete ground.
With the hand clutching Henrietta's hand, a strobe light of green, yellow, and red flickered rapidly from his fingers. The girl would feel a literally mind numbing pain in her head as her brain was squeezed around. And she could try to scream, but for the moment she would forget how. When it was all over, she would be unconscious, without memory of anything that happened in the trainyard at all.
As all this happened, E was already in front of Henrietta again. Her landing was graceful and precise as her feet daintily touched the earth and her hand shot out like an arrow to Henrietta's wrist. The call would end with a flick of her thumb.
Or, more accurately, the woman had silently jumped down from the train and tried to turn off the call before the second ring could even go off.

It was over instantly. Henrietta, who had tried to scream, was now unconscious, tears staining her cheeks, blood trickling down from five sides of her head, one down her the front of her face, one down her cheek, the only two really visible. She dangled limply, almost lifelessly, the slight rise and fall of her chest the indicator of life.
Darumi had hit hard and was struggling to pull himself up. It wasn't going to work though. After a moment more he collapsed. Melty, meanwhile, had been crushed on contact from the double damage move. He sat in his self shaped hole. Flames of both Pokemon dispersed, indicating unconsciousness.
The call was clicked off as the second ring made its attempt.

E frowned as she held up the limp hand with the watch device. "With any luck, the receiver will just think it was a misdial." She looked somewhat frustrated, as though that one hitch in the plan was a major deal. But regardless, now there was almost nothing to lead back to her or N.
"Why?" N balled his hands into fists, trembling with frustration and anger. "Why would you do that to them!?"
E looked back at N and began to walk over to the other green haired trainer. "Because, you idiot, if I didn't then I would have had to kill her. That wasn't what you wanted either was it? Well you screwed up, this is the price you have to pay."
She got up very close to N, reaching out with her index finger and lightly pressing it against his chest. "The problem is that you're getting soft, N," she told him as her finger lightly brushed downwards and to the side. She traced a heart onto his chest. E got up on her tiptoes, making her even closer to N as she whispered into his ear. "In your heart."
"Stop it." He pushed the girl away, and she fell back onto her heels with a tiny, pixy-esque grin.
"Troops have been moved into position for the raid. She won't remember any of this, but if you don't get out of here soon you may become suspect. Leave Nacrene City, head for the Skyarrow Bridge."
N breathed heavily, and then looked over to Darumi's beaten form. "And leave him. There's no need to erase his memories, she can't understand him anyway." She giggled. "Ah, just like the rest of them. Why would you take a liking to this one, I wonder."
N shook his head. "Why did you even come here, E?" "Because. I'm going to be your shadow. My job is to make sure you make this go off smoothly."
She snapped her fingers. Henrietta dropped to the ground as the Beheeyem let go, floating down to E's side. "And I'd prefer it if this sort of thing didn't happen again. You really must be more careful, little brother."
She laughed once more, and N just turned his back on her in disgust. He began to walk away, and as he did he could hear singing.
Frère Jacques, frère Jacques, Dormez-vous? Dormez-
FWIP!
He looked back over his head. The two of them were gone. And soon after, so was he.

After a rough morning, comprising mostly of an epic internal struggle to wake up, Avan was finally up and at 'em. Kind of. Still a bit tired, he decided it was better to be up at a reasonable time instead of just sleeping the day away. There was still something he had to do that day; a tiny bit more training.
This time, he picked a spot he had seen early the other way. The old train yard.
He didn't tell Baku that this training was for him, rather he just mentioned wanting to take care of a few things.
But upon arriving, he spotted something that was quite off. A girl was passed out on the ground, with two unconscious pokemon. It was her.
Just Avan's luck.
But because he was a good a person at heart, for the most part, he had to help.
He ran over to her, getting on his knees and propping her up on them to try to bring her back around. What was it that they did on tv? He asked himself, Oh yeah! He put his pointer and middle finger to her neck to check for a pulse, sighing with relief when he felt her heartbeat. She was still alive. "Hey!" He called out to her. She was badly beat up. What could have done this to her? Avan looked around, but no use. What ever did this to her was surely long gone. Avan wished he knew her name, maybe something familiar sounding would help to bring her out of it.

Henrietta groaned. How long had she been out? Long enough to imply some time had passed that could be stated later, as it was more convenient to assume she was unconscious for a period of time as opposed to, say, five minutes or so.
So, probably an hour later unless that seems unreasonable to Jump and/or Artemis(as one can assume that the danger prone girl missing for a period of time would strike a worry cord), Henrietta was waking up.
Her eyes would flutter open only to see Avan. Avan, AKA Crown, the guy who had that one Pokemon that totally attacked her. His face she associated with people that made her nervous. Now, waking up, groggy and not even fully understanding the situation, or knowing why she was waking up with a stinging head, in pain in the middle of a train yard, she screamed.
Loud and frightened.
