Avan was glad to see her rouse. But what came next startled him.
"Ah! Please don't scream." He asked her. He thought she screamed because it was him, surely that was part of it, but he didn't know the extent of what she had experienced. "It's ok! You're ok now. Whatever did this is gone." Avan stated, trying to help calm her in a nice voice. "You're pretty banged up."
He took a short moment to think. "I need to get you to a hospital."

Henrietta wasn't so bad off, if you considered the blood on her face not bad off. Head wounds bled like bastards, so it was likely that it'd gotten in her hair and a face amount from the trickle that ran down her face and cheek might have been alarming.
Henrietta, who recalled not being here. Who recalled as early as being attacked by a nurse, being strangled, was confused as to her location. She didn't recall he rescue, or the plan to meet up with Sal for training. She recalled the attack and then nothing.
So going from a nurse attacking you to the guy who had helped put you into a hospital a few nights back, it was startling.
"H-h-h-hum!" she stuttered as she removed herself from his lap and crawled away form him, backward by her hands and legs.
"Wh-wh-where am I?" she asked.

Honestly, the way she crawled away from was pretty funny, but now was not the time to start laughing...that could only make the situation worse. So he didn't.
She was ok enough to move. That was good. Avan sighed relief.
"You're in Nacrene's train yard." He answered her question. "Do you remember coming here?" Was the follow up.

Henrietta shook her head slowly. She was looking at his hands. Not for any solid reason, just to avoid his eyes. "I-i w-was a-attacked," she said. She took another motion backward and then slowly began to rise to her feet.
"B-by a lady, at the Pokemon Center. A-after that's it's a blur." The lady could be anywhere, Henrietta realized. She began to look around the scene. The train yard looked like a battleground. Her eyes settled on Melty who was behind Avan, unconscious. She took another step back.
[Ow!]
With an "eep!" and a jump she hopped away, arms flailing and raising to meet against her chest, aligned with her jaw. She looked down and noticed the Darumaka.
"D-d-d-d-darumi?" she stuttered.
What the hell had happened?

When she rose, so did Avan. A lady attacked her in the Pokemon Center? Avan wondered. He was just there earlier, so he deduced that must have occurred earlier. Something obviously happened here. But what he had no idea.
"And you can't remember anything after that lady attacked you?" He asked.
Then she stepped on her Pokemon. "Oh yeah..." Avan turned and saw the unconscious Litwick, then back at the Darumaka; he reached in his bag and pulled out two Super Potions he had bought for the training he had planned, but this was a better use.
He took a step towards Henrietta; sure that'd she'd be wary of him, he didn't make it a sudden movement. "Here, you can use these to aid your Pokemon." Avan outstretched the two super potions, hoping she'd take them.

"D-d-d-darumi?" Henrietta asked again. Darumi weakly rose an arm and gave her a thumbs up. Suddenly she was in tears. In a moment she'd scooped him up and spun holding him.
"I-i-i-i-i d-d-d-don't know h-h-how, b-but," she stopped when she saw Avan offering potions. She blushed, accepted one, sprayed Darumi, set him down, took the other and cautiously moved around Avan with a "th-thank you," before spraying Melty, too.

Noon was still a long way a way. So, Luka had gone to the train yard to do some training. Just as he arrived he heard a frightened scream. He ran in the direction of the scream and found a pink haired girl, he looked remarkably like that girl from the tournament and some effeminate looking guy along with a Darumaka and a squished Litwick.
He ran up to them, "What's up? I heard someone screaming. Is everything all right?"

((Don't worry, I know your pain, man. Typing posts on a phone is hard as s**t, I imagine an iPod is worse.))
"People don't need many friends. They just need good ones."
She stood up. "Anyway, I was thinking of working on a high speed movement technique for Wukong." Sal pointed back to the laying figure of her Monferno. "I figure that if his Mach Punch works on his arms, maybe that same sort of force can be used for his legs. Do you have any pokemon with priority moves? We could train that up together."
Eunmi glanced up at Sal as she stood, thinking about what she said.
People don't need many friends. They just need good ones.
Eunmi's eyelids lowered slightly, her lips pursed as she exhaled slowly through her nose. She'd had close friends when she was younger - Cheren and Bel. They were really close to her. It wasn't that she ever even had a little bit of trouble befriending people, but she'd always go back to Cheren and Bel, missing them most when she had to go away to her grandmother's house.
Things had changed, hadn't they? Cheren was right - she'd been the one to change. She rose her hand through her bangs and sighed. She still didn't know what she'd done to make them that upset with her, but maybe changing was all that she needed to have done. What a mess.
"Priority moves?" she asked after a pause. She almost hadn't been listening. She pulled out her Pokedex - now charged - and scrolled down it. "Well, Dali's supposed to learn something called 'Aqua Jet' but I don't think he knows it yet.
"And D-Vee has..." she scrolled through it. "Quick Attack, Extremespeed, whoa," she stopped. "He has a lot - Mach Punch, Bullet Punch, Fake Out, Ice Shard, Shadow Sneak, Sucker Punch, Vacuum Wave..."
Eunmi looked down at the painter Pokemon.
"How do you know so many moves?" she asked. Who was his previous trainer?
* * * * *
Artemis yawned. It had been a while since she'd gotten out of her apartment. She usually stayed in, painting or otherwise, getting take out or cooking small meals for herself. The sunlight was an unusual but pleasant change of pace. She knew she should get back, but now that she was out, she almost didn't want to. Walking around Nacrene - a smaller town and not at all like the bustling city of Castelia - was nice, calm.
She stopped outside a cafe and looked in the window, noticing the advertisement for ice cream on the side. A small smile appeared on her lips and she shook her head.
A few minutes later, she emerged with an ice cream in hand, regrettably noticing it wasn't as good as the Casteliacones. Those were her, along with her closest friend's, favorite.
She looked down at her phone for the time. She looked up as two teenagers passed.
"-why won't you battle me?" the girl said, waving her arm in the air, gripping a poke ball.
"Rufus is tired, and besides, Cherry is a fire type," the other girl - oh wait, no that was a boy - said.
"We just got back from the Center! And Emi beat you, and she was at a disadvantage!"
"That was dumb luck!"
Artemis looked after them as they walked past. Pokemon Trainers? They would be on their second Gym challenge, if even, then. Cute. She decided to continue wandering around for a little while longer. Wasn't there a warehouse around here that displayed art? She'd heard about it a few weeks ago, but she wasn't sure.

More people arrived. Henrietta jumped at Luka's arrival. She had Melty in her arms and he looked absolutely pissed off. Darumi, meanwhile, stuck close. Henrietta knelt down, as if protectively, near her Pokemon. She didn't know what was going on. But she looked scared, and there was blood on her face.
"I-i d-don't know, I-i woke up and he was h-here," she said and she pointed at Avan. Henrietta looked nervous about Avan being near, that much was clear. Like she was scared of him, though mostly she was scared of Kali.

Luka nodded. He tried to say to her "Did he... y'know.... do that?" pointing at her head and the blood, without the other boy noticing. Obviously the success of that was highly suspect, but, the poor girl looked petrified of the guy. Then again, the guy didn't look like the kinda guy who would brutalise a poor girl, but, sometimes people hid the most vile intentions beneath the sweetest of masks.
"The name's Luka. What's yours?" He turned from the wounded girl to the effeminate boy, "And what's yours?"
First the nightmare, then this? This was turning into a very weird day.

Salieri snapped her fingers when Mach Punch was mentioned. "Yep, that's the one!" With so many priority moves, D-Vee could become an excellent training partner for her new Monferno. "Emi, this is perfect!" The Battle Girl leaned down to get on a closer level to the Smeargle.
"D-Vee, Wukong's got this killer Mach Punch. It's great the way it is, but I'm trying to see if he can get that speed from his arms to go to his legs for super speed!" She enthusiastically punched at the air, making it blow past the Smeargle. "Think you can help me out? We can all get better together!"

The boy nodded and smiled when Henrietta took the potions.
And then the appearance of Luka. Avan was clearly not in the best position.
But all that aside, Avan introduced himself. "I'm Crown."

"Wouldn't be....." Luka looked between the two, before rushing between Henrietta and Crown. "Get away from her." It was a split decision. But, he wouldn't be a gentleman if he didn't help the obviously injured girl from a potential attacker.
