"Alright..." Van was at a loss for anymore words as he just hugged Mala tightly, hoping this was a problem they could actually fix.

Mala hugged Van back, enjoying their embrace. "Even if we can't get you to it, I'll find a way for us to stay together, even if I have to find a way for spirits to manifest corporeal form, or I'll quit taking the water and go on to join you."

"I'm pretty sure drinking the water is a one-time thing. Either way, I wouldn't you following me until after our baby's all grown up." Van said moving a hand down to rest on her tummy.

"Of course I wouldn't! I'd just work on somehow bringing you back - and if I couldn't - only then would I give up!" Mala assured Van with a grin.

"Only if your healing skills improve so I'm not brought back as a wriggling bag of flesh." Van joked. "But I know you'd never give up so easily in something like this. You're wonderfully stubborn that way." he said with a small smile, intending it to be a compliment.

((My mini-field trip to the local art museum today presented me with a photographer that Freud would have a field day with. A fascination with S&M culture, a nude male model, and at least 7 bare boobies caught on film. xd ))

"Immortality and a god for a husband usually had something to do with it though." Van said with a faint smile. He hoped he could at the very least get his immortal life back to continue living with Mala.

"...Do you still remember where to even find the fountain?" Van asked. He didn't think something like this would happen, so he didn't think to memorize the location.

"Way up north in the mountains, past the desert of snow and that hybernating ice dragon's cave." Mala replied cheerilly, as if nothing at all were frightening about that.

((I believe 'snowy wasteland' would have been less contradictory than 'desert of snow'. XD ))

"Ready when you are then..." Van said with a sigh, still not thrilled with the idea of his pregnant wife traipsing around on another terribly dangerous adventure.

"Well, let's head out in a week - then." Mala said with a grin. "It'll give us enough time to inform the twins of our temporary departure and to prepare ourselves for whatever is to come."

{Also, if they do run into the dragon, wouldn't it be funny if the only thing keeping it from eating them was that they were his mate's parents? Or would that be stupid? *Hey, I did say I wanted to give Larai a jerk boyfriend just to see what'd happen*}

"Here's hoping I'm not rapidly aging too then." Van said with another tight hug.
