The clone of San looked up from its desk and smiled at the sight Ayame. "Yoooo it's been awhile Ayame, still uptight as ever I see. Not that I mind, it's kinda cute heh." Setting aside the papers it was working on, the clone's feet were soon swung up onto the desk as she yawned casually. The Hokage hat and robe were casually hung up in the corner, a sign that when the real San was out the clone didn't don the outfit. Either that or the woman simply didn't care to wear the thing. "Sooo ugh what's up?"

Stopping for a moment, she finally looked up at the lady sitting at the desk which was indeed San, but there was definitely people saying that she was seen elsewhere too. Clone? Or not, it would know her information regardless as she bowed slightly when she been acknowledged.
"I apologize, it's just how I am." Was all she could say in that situation when her face reddened a bit at being called cute. She shook it off for a moment and stammered for a moment, it had been awhile for sure... "Uhh.. Well, I've been off looking into something. So I guess it has been.." Ayame said as she confirmed that it had been awhile. Approaching the desk, a marble was set on the surface with a small parchment of a statement.
Ayame stepped back then as she bowed again, unsure of what to actually say. The statement was a mixed report of what she was doing as she been hunting the motives of the unknown assailants and what they been looking for. Further on, Ayame's writing detailed an encounter in the mines mixed with uncertainty and the remnant of a creature slain followed by the medical record of an unidentified body burned as a result of her fire.
"If I may..." Ayame began when she sat the two things down, she described the events herself even if San were to read her statement or not. When she described everything, she left it short and simple while the intricate details were left to the writing.
"I wish to conduct further investigation of what those things were looking for, and other loose ends." Ayame made her request now, standing up straight and touching the katana at her side. "I failed to protect those people in the Dojo and now my careless use of fire may have killed another and I--" She stopped herself shook her head and then fell silent. "But... Are you free some time?"
Always so formal, not that it really bothered San. Though she did hope her own informality did not perturb the other woman. If such a thing were the case she'd of course hope that Ayame would speak up about it. Though for the time being it appeared that they had business to discuss. The news that she had been investigating something was of interest to the desk managing clone. The last time Ayame had been in the office there was some lack of direction in her life. She had taken the battle and the invasion rather hard. To some extent San had wondered what the girl was up to, though the task of managing the village had kept her too busy to inquire.
A single eyebrow was raised to the marble, in addition to what she assumed was a written report. Of course Ayame was quick to verbally brief San on the matter. It was an interesting tale and one which also sparked a small sense of adventure within the rookie kage. With everything that was going on at large she wondered if the resources could be spared to investigate the calamity of those strangers' assault on the village. But perhaps it was necessary? Knowing the full details of those events might help to prevent a sequel affair.
That being said it worried San that perhaps Ayame was being too harsh on herself. There was nothing that could be done at the dojo as neither of them had been strong enough then. As for the person attached to the creature in the mine, well there was no telling whether or not there was anything that could have been done for them. San would never disapprove of such a decision, though she did take issue with the lack of thought put into the attack. Kya suffered from much the same problem though she was working on it.Something to address later. "You're not the only Shinobi in the village who's a tad uncareful with their katon. But um that aside... I could probably make some time for you? What's up?"

Isla stepped in throught the doorway to the Kage's office as she had noticed the door was wide open. It wasn't surprising to find her already with another shinobi. Crossing her hands over the front of her body, Isla would wait until the Hokage was done with her guest while respectfully backing outside of the room, standing to the side of the door.

The report of her recent achievements were made to the kage and she now had them in writing for perhaps filing away for reference. Something along those line, Ayame wasn't quite sure of the procedure when it came to the work here. She never been one for working clerical duties, wasn't her deal anyways. As she gave her report, she was pleasantly relieved that she was still her old self. As for Ayame herself, her mood always teeter tottered on those she reflected and if she didn't, she was shy and an introvert.
Now San spoke once she finished the oral report, hearing her mention about the use of fire ninjutsu and not being the only one. "In my defense, Madame Kage, it was difficult to know if the body had been alive or lost. It was rather difficult to see clearly." Ayame spoke slowly as she felt a bit... of a sinking feeling but she quickly suppressed it. It played on her innate fears, but her achievement outweighed it and even more so when she had time free -- well. Could make time.
"It's a bit personal, just wondering if..." She trailed off when the presence of someone stepped in. "I was wondering if we could have a day to catch up." Her eyes closed for a moment with a long intake of air "but I've come to let you know I need to make a short trip." her hand clasped around the broken Odachi of Kya's and she set it onto the desk. It was the weapon the creature both she and Kya fought, and this particular weapon been dissolved by an acidic substance. "I want to replace this weapon for Kya, and... other incentives." A smile came across her lips as her eyes shifted color for a moment, her empathic gaze looking to read her in that moment. "I should get out of your hair soon, looks like someone is here."
The clone seemed to visibly wince at being called madame. "Ya wound me Ayame, I'm not old enough to be called madame yet. I know this job ages you fast but damn yo." It was true that in many respects taking on the role of the Hokage had forced San to grow up. While it was far too soon for her looks to be effected she had already changed emotionally. For example the job had forced the scope of her perspective to expand. Every decision she made now had to be made with the understanding that it might impact thousands of lives. That was a lot to deal and it was probably in large part why her predecessor had not handled things well. San for her part displayed a similar anti-authority disposition to Taka but in many ways she utilized it to challenge those beneath her to grow. All according to the will of Nagakaborous.
Although she had much to learn in terms of both maturity and foresight. The request to take a day and catch up both caught San by surprise and left her with a flutter of excitement. A single memory of a planted kiss flashed before her mind as a small smile etched itself onto her face. "Sounds like a dae.... plan to me yo! I'll figure out something schedule wise kay?" She'd have to pull some serious magic with getting the free time but with how strong she'd become lately it probably wouldn't be too hard to make some more clones handle her other jobs. Of course she also deserved some time off right? Between cataloging the dead, ordering the repair materials, and fighting the UHV she'd done a lot for the village already.
With any luck they could have a nice day. However it seemed as if there was always more business to attend to. The weapon was familiar to San, it was the one Kya had employed during the battle at the mine. Now it was nothing more than a corroded piece of s**t. "Ahhh... well I'm sure Kya will appreciate it though she's already enjoying her knew one. Just don't be such a stranger yo. Oh and ugh send the kid in on your way out."

Ayame blinked her eyes as she felt the emotion flash over the Kage, the iris changing color shifting in different shades of blue. Collecting her marble and the broken Odachi back in the obi around her waist. With consideration though on the odd emotion she felt from her, so no Madame title? A note was made mentally to not touch on that while she witnessed the complete loss of apparently professional speech - did she regress instinctively to speaking like an angsty teen because of the age thing? Or... Was this the infamous Uzumaki stutter?
Going to look into that some time. It's cute... Ayame smiled as she stepped back from the desk, though she debated being a little evil but the other Shinobi was present. "Before I leave, my Lady Kage, Permission to take leave to Takumi and... perhaps could I access higher levels of Ninjutsu?"
Taking just a moment to consider it, the clone quickly went through a mental list of shinobi until she found one that would work. "I'll get you an escort so you can leave, they'll meet you at the gate. By the time you get back you'll be able to see things classified as A rank. Yo Ayame... be careful Kay?" The last part of her usually excited and/or attitude was filled with an air of concern. More than likely it was because of the recent UHV activity. However she was still choosing to keep a rather snug lid on that information for the time being. So for now Ayame would have to make her own assumptions as to the reasoning.
With that she turned to the new girl. The name was familiar enough, it'd made her laugh to herself aloud as she wondered why parents would give a child such a name. Though at the moment there was more pressing work to be done so it would be better to simply get this over with and done quickly. Reaching into her desk's bottom drawer she withdrew a fresh headband. "You're quite late compared to your classmates."

It's been a while since Ichiryu stepped inside the Hokage's office. With so many missions done, he is ready for a promotion for the next rank. He made a request at the receptionist desk to see the Hokage.
Ayame's face for once didn't register much emotion other than a gentle nod of acknowledgement, an escort was to be better than nothing since she had business to attend to. Part of her now had a pang of anxiety clutch at her throat for a moment not long before her own emotive control quashed it as her eyes reflected the Kage's and she soon felt excited... and concern? These were not orders from a superior to a genin, but concern of a friend to another and she turned to face the kage with a bow. It was a small one, quick yet courteous while her chakra seethed through her body with a hand seal held and with that she flicked from sight. Floral petals of chakra scattered in her office, soon each dissolving seconds from the woman's departure with a whisper of her voice just behind San's ear speaking so only she could hear.
"I will be careful, you keep your cool." The illusion would come to pass once her chakra petals all but faded. //Leave -> Whisper Gen
There was little time to watch Ayame leave as the other genin occupied the clone's attention. However she appreciated the private message left by the genjutsu. More likely than not the woman would be fine even with the ever increasing danger outside the walls of the village. Thought there was little time to think upon such things as whenever someone stopped needing her attention another person sprung up. Taking in a deep breath the clone simply told itself that soon enough they would get a break and would be able to relax with friends. The reality was such a calming affair would no doubt never come with the state of things but such was life. Sending a signal to her receptionist she indicated that she would receive the guest. With that done the clone simply leaned back in the chair and left its feet on the desk. What she would need to hear out next was as of yet unknown.

The clone of San eyed the man with curiosity. She hadn't really seen him around much if at all. Certainly he wasn't one who frequently crossed her attention. Her brow raised when he mentioned work done and meeting the requirements. She knew absolutely nothing of the man or his deeds. Certainly not to the extent she knew of someone like Kya. "That so?" Her question was sarcastic, more so meant as a challenge than an actual question. Her heterochromatic eyes seemed to stare Ichiryu down as she waited for his response.
