He looked around at the different genin. He had seen some of them at the exams. But never got the chance to introduce himself. He simply waited alongside Raichi.

xxxxxx Thanatos was sitting in his office filling out paperwork, he had knocked out a decent amount since taking office. He even had to postpone him attending the chunnin exams. Though that turned out to be a complete mess as it was attacked. Luckily from his reports all of his genin made it out okay. Though that didn't excuse the people attacking them. They were already looking into the evergreen cult to find more information. Then a knock on his door, the secretary told him over the mini intercom that he had visitors. Three genin or would it be four with the twins? Well they were all waiting for him and the two konoha ninja were waiting to speak with him."Bring the genin in, the Konoha ninja can wait till after."
The secretary walked up to the genin waiting outside."Unki, Jeon, Jay, and Xion. The Raikage will see you all now. Shinobi from the Leaf village, the Raikage will see you afterwards."The secretary smiled and bowed as she opened the door for the genin to enter.
Eventually while waiting a pair of twins came up, a model-like pair with their looks, sadly both now sportting a small blimish upon their visage. They both smiled at him but the girl was the only one to wave, so he returned their smile with a cute little cheeky one of his own and a one of those waves that you would do when you see a friend across the street both you're both busy so you just do the quick little hand motion to show that you both acknowledge each other. After this Xion showed up and greeted everyone present. If he recalled correctly she said she had some other things to attend to. Either she was super quick or decided to come here anyways.
Raichi would have felt awkward to wave or say his greetings to her again so soon after meeting so he just sat there trying his best to not look awkward or like a jerk for seemingly ignoring her. Oh thank Kami-sama! The probably one-sided uneasiness was cut with the entrance of the secretary. It seemed the Raikage wished to see to his own first. No harm in that, it gave the exhausted Raichi a chance to rest up some more and hopefully stop the shaking in his legs. Shortly a handful would line behind her. Over her shoulder, Unki would recognize most of members of the forming group as participants from the exams. The senju, whose efforts became essential to group’s escape was first to greet her with a wave. Unki would return his greeting with a cheery smile and bouncing her head slowly side to side. Given that he was currently absorbed in conversation with another leaf ninja, Unki wanted to still express a silent sort of acknowledgement (without physically waving her hand back for some reason). During the exams, Unki had mostly collected a glimpse here and there of the second leaf ninja, the one with the large dog. The dog that she couldn’t help but ogle for a minute at its coat and question its exact level of softness. Her hands were held together withdrawn from waving for a reason: being sucked into a surprise petting spree could very well happen and would likely cause delay on her behalf.
The first she notices of Jay and Jeon was their arrival with a set of naginata with sheathed blades above their heads. Unki’s sights follow from the covered blades to their heads, their faces, and the red marks. The girl’s smile dropped for a moment but resurfaced as they nodded to her. Madam Maid, for a lack of a better name, from the exams arrived too. The tap tapping of a white cane succeeding her greeting was a sure-fire hint to Unki that it was an essential object. Not being a hundred percent on whether or not Xion was blind or just had some seriously impaired vision queues Unki to be watchful of her own path. Unki would chirp a sprightly “hello!” in reply.
Before long, the secretary appears with instructions and welcomes the native cloud party to enter first. As with the other genin, Unki would pile into the room and take a spot in an orderly row beside the others and would try to look militant. Concerning the change of power, Unki was in the dark on the entirety of the matter and still expected to see a scared, dark-haired youth where a white-haired somebody was instead. This, supposed, new Raikage seemed vaguely familiar to her in such a way which she could not yet decipher.

Xion wasn't entirely sure which way the door was, so she just followed the footsteps that sounded like they knew where they were going. Now that she was following someone, she didn't need her cane as much. The guiding object remained out, but it tapped the ground much less frequently.
In stark contrast to Unki's military falling in line, Xion stopped wherever was convenient. In this case, she stopped when Unki stopped, waiting "behind" the kind genin. Depending on how Unki pathed, this "behind" could be literally behind her or it could actually be at her side, facing towards her. All Xion did was follow then stop.

Blind Resolution Personal Attribute [ Xion was born blind, a curse placed upon her for her parents' faults. For that reason, she will never experience sight. No ocular implant can restore her vision and even genjutsu cannot imitate the sensation of sight for her. In exchange, being blind has rewired Xion's brain to enhance her other senses, primarily the ability for her hearing and chakra sensing to pick out minute details (but not necessarily an increase in what both senses pick up) but also her smell and even touch to gather what little details they can. Jeon and jay filed in right behind the others, setting eyes on the new kage. They were quiet, uncharacteristic. (Sorry for one lining. I'm doing this to unlock yah I have to get ready to leave here soon.)

The other stopping right behind her as if she was following. Right that one was Xion, they blind genin he read about. The one in front of her was Unki. And then Jeon and Jay. He had thier files out in front of him, he needed to get familiar with his genin."Thank you for stopping by, I know you all most be tired from the exams. First of all I want to thank you for your strength and courage during these exams, Luckily we didn't lose any of our shinobi." Looking over at the twins, he noticed they had a slightly different demeanor then in the notes. Looking at them he could see some marks on thier faces. They appeared to have been healed but from his own experience they would most likely leave some kind of scar. Could the battle have not only left physical damage...but mental? This was something he would need to discuss later. Not in front of others. He smiled at the genin."So, how may I help you?"

Ever since the exams the young man went back to his daily duties of running the emergency wing and ensuring that the place didn't self destruct in his absence. While he had a fair bit of faith in the staff there, he knew that he had a job to fill there. Mounting the stairs he set the chains on his pants jangling again in a sort of rhythmic tone that could almost be musical. Passing the foreign shinobi he gave each of them a polite nod in passing before handing off a large yellow, wire bound, file to the receptionist,"Medical reports for the past month as well as the hospitals current supply levels." Without waiting to hear the womans response he pushed open the door gave a polite bow to Thana and stood off to the side in the back. The man, clearly older then the rest of the genin, looked like he had been run through the ringer without an ounce of sleep.
Jeon heard what the Kage had to say about the exams, looking up to her brother who seemed to have his hawklike gaze set down on his leader. It was true, no one had died on the island and that was good. TO say that they weren't still casualties would be inaccurate. She managed to keep her thoughts away from what had happened during the exams on purpose. So did Jay. But the kage's words had been simple and encouraging. They bowed in respect to his words. Just a light nod of the head. When he asked his question, Jeon did what was to be expected of Jeon. She merely blurted out the first thing that came to her mind. "My brother Jay and I are here to request a promotion." Jay narrowed his eys a little. He could suppress the grin that came over her face as she went on. "We feel we've come as far as we can as genin, and we believe that we are at the point now where we can contribute more as Chuunin." There was a moment of quiet before one of them spoke again. "That, and we want to make the UHV pay for their actions against Kumogakure there. Being a Chuunin will open some doors for all ofus on that avenue, and I believe we-" he paused as Shiro came in. "Even moreso now than we ever have been, are ready."

General deduction led Toso to believe Unki would be within the confines of the office consulting with the now enacting Raikage about promotion. The announcement of the newly enlisted Kage and the departure of Giant-san and the previous certainly left much to the mind in regards to curiosity. Although Toso couldn't help but feel it partially his fault for the duo's trip into the distant mountains. After all, he had wholly felt his reconnaissance mission with Ara and Liori failed miserably having alerted whom they were supposed to spy on. The dry storm had been present for how many days now. Such weather heavily implied an ill omen. A feeling knotted in the squid-mans gut, something saying they would not be back. Additionally so Toso had found it curious he hadn't seen either Axel or Hakanai recently.
"Kaileer?" He thought trying to recall the previous Kage's name. They had after all only shared one conversation with one another and that conversation stemmed on what was considered a personal failure. However, how pleased he would have been to report his role in securing the vessel for the Chunnin exams escape plan. Redemption perhaps is what he would have felt if he were in the same room again as him. Though he couldn't help but feel sorry for who was taking his place currently. Unki’s quiet headcount totaled four genin, including herself, who entered. Xion, apparently, had simply stopped behind her so Unki inched to the side.

At this point, it wouldn't have been strange to mistake Xion as simply a maid on standby to clean whenever the current meeting was finished. She hadn't said a word. But the Genin that had failed his Academy training so many, many years ago nodded and did as suggested; Honō made his way up and up the bloated tower, head bowing in greeting with near every step as he constantly passed people - some milling, others on a mission, and many ignoring his uncommenly polite and shy behaviour. Honō would eventually come to the secretary desk, head once more bowing in respect before he was looking her in the eyes, a kind smile on thin lips.

Jeon looked up at her brother with a smile so bright everyone in the room was in danger of suffering from lightblindness. Years of work, dedication and trials were finally recognized. Jay returned her feelings, rubbing her head with a somewhat heavy hand. However before they were dismissed Jay did have one last question to pose their leader. "Actually there is one last thing. We were wondering if it would be ok if we left for a couple of weeks to visit the sage lands, train under the summons and maybe draw up a contract?" When Jay spokenit was always right to the point with a positive tone. Today, he felt a lot more serious.
