Ichiryu simply nodded to the Hokage "Yes Kokage-Sama. Aside from the requirements and the missions, I feel I can do more as Jounin. And If I'm being more honest, " Ichiryu grew a hidden smile on his face and pased a bit. "I can help the village a lot more as a Jounin."
ᑃ Kya was quick and purposeful in her step, moving right past the secretary after giving him a flash of intimidating seriousness with only a glance. She saw Ichiryu there, and decidedly didn't do more than nod to him. "Sorry to interrupt Lord Hokage. I bring bad news of an urgent level. UHV." She would give a second for Chie to catch up, then relay the information. "Looks like they've set up several garrisons hidden in the forest lands, and they've began using slave labor... people from both Konoha and Hi no Kuni. Worse still, it seems that one of the attackers from before escaped, and they now know we know. Several higher ranking soldiers exist within their forward bases, so they're likely on guard already. Last... it appears they're after you." Kya finished, wondering how she'd react.

Chie arrived at the Hokage's office behind Kya. So this place was San's huh? It was still surreal to think about that. When Chie first came here, San was just a desk clerk helping out the Hokage. Or was that just an act as well? San layered herself in more riddles than a genjutsu master. It was hard to imagine whether or not anything she said before was true. Still, however, she was the Hokage. Kya was right to denote that earned her the right of the trust of all of the Konoha ninja. This of course included Chie.
"Why they are after you is something which is highly confidential. Even though the person we examined was a high warrior among their rank, he was only made the briefest bit aware of the plan." She added to Kya's information relay. She was glad her mentor said the bulk of the message, since it meant that she was mostly allowed to say silent. Was now a good time to bring up the outburst at the academy? Chie was almost certain it wasn't. After all, there was a threat of literal war on the horizon. Trying to skirt in an apology now would probably seem in poor taste compared to the more pressing issues. Even still, Chie did not make eye contact with San. Shortly after the other two finished speaking, the real Sanae climbed in through the window. She blinked for a moment while looking at those gathered in the office. She'd acquired new clothing since the last time Chie and Kya had spoken with her. Though perhaps most shockingly of all was that there appeared to be nothing within the flowing end of her right sleeve. There was still a slight look of befuddlement about her countenance as she casually approached the clone. However once the clone was dispersed she was sure to understand the situation better. "Tag out yo." She raised what was left of her right arm for a fist bump but then chuckled as she seemed to notice that she had no fist to bump. Her sleeve hung loosely about the elbow where the arm came to a sudden stop.
With a sheepish grin she raised her left hand instead and fist bumped that one with the clone's own raised fist. With a puff of white smoke, the doppelganger was no more. San took a deep breath and then suddenly became a lot more serious as the knowledge of what had been going on filtered into her own memories. "After me? Huh maybe his excellency's pompous tool got himself captured on the return trip and they know I'm in charge now. That'd be a <********> shame yo." While the sarcasm in her voice would be easily apparent, whom she spoke of and why there was such distaste for them would be known only by herself and Kya.
It was then that her attention shifted towards Ichiryu. "Rejected. To put this bluntly yo, I don't have clue who you are. You didn't make a name for your self during the attack, and I ain't heard s**t about you since then either. So until you even prove to me that you're a capable chuunin, don't even think about the rank above you. But this is your lucky day if you wanna put your money where your mouth is." There was a pause in her speech as she lets the words sink in. It also gave her time to process all the memories that the clone had transferred to her being. They knew some details, but they also needed a better picture. The memories from the dead scout would by this point be out of date more or less. No doubt the security and patrols for those bases were being changed. Perhaps reinforcements would be called in as well. Those were all moves she'd make in their shoes. Suddenly she pointed with her limp sleeve to a map that hung on the wall of her office. Several push pins dotted the map itself and there was a tray of loose ones at the bottom. "Kya, Chie, mark the bases on the map if you can. Ichiryu you're gonna take Sumika the iron sand runt and Nisengo Hyakuichi to scout those bases and get us some more info."
It was then that a knock came at the door. "Mistress, there's a message for you from the gate guards. It sounds important." The voice belonged to her receptionist. For him to walk over to the door and say something meant that it was very much something she would want to hear quickly, and something which was sensitive in nature. With a deep sigh, the young red head pinched the bridge of her nose. It literally never stopped around here. "Stick around Kya... I get the feeling I might need ya."

While Ichiryu was in discussion with the Hokage, Kya and a two others came in the office. The UHV is after the hokage. The attackers escapped and are using people from his village as slave labor. Ichiryu promotion was rejected but he'll have to prove himself on this mission. "I accept" Ichiryu will be partnered with Sumika that was also in the same class as him and Kya as well as someone named Nisengo Hyakuchi to scout and gather info.
ᑃ Kya was aware that this San was a clone by the chakra shape and color that made it stand out from the rest of the room. She was too vibrant, but also too hollow, too... shaped like San to actually be her. When the actual San managed to climb in the window, even Kya had to try not to stare, and she ended up failing miserably. San had changed her entire style, and seeing her side by side with the old San-look sort of gave her an even clearer view at all the changes that had been underwent. Most puzzling was the chakra seal on her arm, and the missing arm therein. Sigh... what are you doing." Still, she chose not to be too distracted... even if San's new look put her right up Kya's ally.
Joe had asked for a promotion, and San's response, curt as it was, drew Kya's attention to that she actually hadn't seen or heard of Joe helping out. A few days ago, she may have inquired further, seeing as how Taka had just abandoned the village entirely, and Oga and Chet had just dropped from her life much the same way. For that matter, where had Sal gone? Why was most of her graduating class now gone, when she could have made use of them. Her mind wandered such that she almost didn't even hear it when orders were delegated. "Chie, think you can remember where he remembered the bases were? Might be prudent to mark which one was the best fortified."
And then a guard had come in. Another person at the gates?? When it rains... Well I'll be damned. Still, she flared her nostrils a bit before nodding to San. "Shall we go there together then?"

Jun was already a bit late to picking up her village issued headband. Officially her graduation had been a couple of days ago. Along with fifteen or so other budding ninja the Academy had released them upon the world with a slap of approval and a finger pointing to the Hokage's tower. She probably should have come right away, joining in with her peers sprinting like mad to collect the symbol that meant they were Genin. Jun had just been thinking to herself: Well it was Friday, so I wanted the weekend to myself. Then Monday came and it was my birthday. That's legit, right? Now four days later she had finally come to collect.
Uneven footfalls sounded down the corridor, a scuff and a thud hailing the arrival of someone who appeared as if they had just rolled out of bed after a night of heavy drinking. Jun hadn't actually consumed anything that could inhibit her, but she had been up all night. The moon had just looked so heavy in the sky, like it could fall out of it at any moment and come crashing down in to the world. Her sleepy eyes had been fixated on the swollen pale orb all throughout the night. It wasn't until the early rays of the sun peaked over the horizon that Jun shifted positions and fell in to a temporary sleep. Then her mom woke her up. Was it irregular for someone her age to have just become a genin? Maybe. Should she have probably moved out by now? Yeah, but then no one would make her breakfast. All in all Jun was content.
Painted nails combed briefly through the red and orange mess of hair on her head, trying in vain to right the wrongs her pillow had wrought upon her fiery crown. She balled her hands in to fists and rubbed the sleep from her eyes, smoothing down her shirt and clearing her throat. Jun stood outside the door to the Hokage's office for a beat and thought through what she was going to say. She had never actually seen the leader before and figured the arrival of some scrubby new ninja would be seen as some sort of inconvenience. Most people would be, like, sheepish or something in this situation. Jun put on her best face of 'sorry to be disturbing your very important tasks' face and walked in. Mostly she just looked queasy. "Heya, I'm Jun Kosen. I just graduated...recently...I was told to come here and see the boss lady for a headbaaaa-" Jun's soft voice trailed off from pleasantness to nothing when her eyes focused on Kya. Before she had been speaking to the room in general, be it the lions at the pond nearby or the ladies or the guards assembled. But Kya made her remember a time before now. When things were more normal maybe. Before Jun knew this reality wasn't as firmly set in place as people tended to believe. "Are you real?" A whisper from betwixt her lips. Those bright blue eyes had a sudden haziness to them, a distance that spoke of how far from the moment the girl had gone. Jun took in a shaky breath and blinked thrice before retraining her sights on the jounin. "Kya? You look stunning. Like damn your hair is long. It's been years? Or days? I-I don't remember." Jun's eyes widened and she held her hands out to her sides as if to steady herself. Was this the trigger? Did it finally make itself known so she could go? But nothing was happening. Nothing at all. With a hint of obvious disappointment Jun let her arms fall at her sides and just stood there, unsure of herself now.

Chie's eyes widened when San came in without an arm. It took her a moment before she took a breath to compose herself. Of course the real San would be missing an arm. Why not? Anything goes when the Hokage is in charge. Knowing San though, the arm probably wasn't gone. It was probably either a transformation jutsu or some other form of duplicity. This was just who was San. Honestly, it made Chie smirk a little. It was then, however, that she knew she was still supposed to be in trouble. Her eyes darted away as she nodded to Kya's question. "Roger. It'll only take a second." She said as she moved over to the map. Initially it would have been hard for her to just use memories to pinpoint where everything was. However, thankfully this map already had mapped out the outpost where the three were together previously, and from there Chie could trace out where the bases were.
"The bases are all parallel to the ocean. That's probably how they sneaked into the land of fire. The central base is their most fortified, followed by the three bases which triangulate around the area. Altogether, their range covers approximately half of the land of fire." She said as she labeled the major base with a black thumbnail, and then placed the other three with red ones. The girl then continued with blue pins all of the guards that she could recall. "There's no guarantees that they kept the same guard shifts as from when he was alive, and it's safe to say that security has to have been elevated since our friend's demise. Still though, at least it'll give us details about where they began." She said earnestly. The knowledge of where the bases were located ran through her mind. Possible moves and their outcomes whirred behind the scenes as she took it all in. The UHV was clearly looking to create a final push. The possibility left her feeling irritated, an apt comparison would be to a caged tiger. She very much wanted to just charge in there and run rampant. However most others were not likely to make it out of there alive. While that wouldn't necessarily bother her, it would be a failure of the duty that she'd taken on. The role which she was to play. For that reason such a hurrah was not going to be allowed. Remembering to use her left hand this time she scratched her head while thinking about what to do. Their backs were going to be against the wall soon, and frankly it was quite conceivable that the daimyo might submit to the UHV if the price to keep his power was leaving Konohagkure to rot. "Hmmm..."
As she audibly thought over her orders a new comer wandered her way into the room. "Are you for ******** real?" San asked back with a small scowl on her face. Normally she would have enjoyed the tenacity of demanding your presence be known. However this situation had much more gravity than any one fresh genin. Stepping over to her desk, a drawer was yanked open and a headband grabbed. It was then quickly hurled at Jun's face. She then grabbed a second one and angrily hurled it at Chie's chest. "Take Jun and go train her.... also hold onto that forehead protector. There might be more stragglers running around."
Shifting her attention to Ichiryu she had more to tell him. "Your two genin should still be at the academy... oh and above all. Try not to be detected when you're scouting the bases."

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Bloody hell things had certainly took an awful right hand turn down crazy lane ever since every pane of glass spontaneously combusted itself. Numerous mounting casualties from that fateful time with the seemingly endless repairs had been the base of this ever growing bean stalk. Zahara reminisced on the whole deal as he stood in the atrium of the administration building, fancy way of calling it the simple Kage with the Hokage faces staring down overhead. In a way he admired the design of the main Kage building, its simplicity and practical means of design with the subtle defenses therein. Yet at the same time, he questioned the means of an obvious building in the center of the village, the obvious node of the crucial nerve center that could be struck and from what he heard had been struck during that fateful attack.
Zahara scoffed at the memory, instinctively running his fingers along the scar that now marred his face so close to his eye. There was no good memory for anyone he suspected, his was fighting alongside the Hyuuga against a rather unknown foe. They were either dead, or figments of a feverish dream though perhaps both as he called breaking the neck of his opponent. Carelessness had been his downfall for inhuman movement of the creature caught Zahara off guard, slicing his face and wounding the shoulder enough to be hospitalized.
Finally off medical leave, he was more or less recovered or at least enough to reinstate himself with the Kage, or rather new Kage. It was hard to say with the leadership within the village, he left that sort of worry to those with a higher paygrade.
Approaching the secretary desk with a casual knock on the wood, glove fingers making a subtle sound. It was subtle as he gave a small smile as he set the paperwork down that he was told to present. "I've got to meet with the Hokage, if they're in. I am Zahara, I've been let off medical leave so I may be reinstated as a Genin." The document was nothing more than his pictured identification that was show of proof from his graduation with the medical records he'd been given.
"Oh and... A thousand pardons if I am interrupting anything if they'll get that message. I can only imagine how busy things have been." xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

ᑃ Kya kept her arms crossed, eyes focusing in on the drawings Chie was making in the map. So, they had come in by ocean eh? And with a force as large as Chie had made note of, probably not just a scouting force. No, this was definitely an invasion. Or, at least it was shaping up to be. The annoying part was there was almost certainly more than who were already stationed, and not enough power in Konoha to simply go out there and oust who had already landed. No, they were going to need to find the bases, scout them out, get an idea of what they were up against and start shoring up defenses. On top of that... she still actually felt compelled to go to the Sand Village and see Sonyo and Ayame. The snakes were promised to her; a teacher waiting to deliver lessons was there await Kya. Deopending on how long that took, she could come home infinitely more powerful. Scouting, building our own forward operations bases, and getting the army ready for hit and ******** if a refreshing wind, another entered the office and Kya snapped her eyes to her. How in the hell... Jun!? Kya raised an eyebrow, both of her arms unfurling and her mouth opening in shock. "Junebug? What in the heck. I haven't seen you since... since Chet Oga and I back in the day... all the hallucinogens. Wow!" she said. She chalked up the are you real comment to the girl being surprised, and a sort of idiomatic speech moreso than any indicator that she lost her grasp on reality. Even though it was ill timed this reunion gave her heart a flutter, and the moody Kya seemed to soften just enough that she didn't take note of the dejected look on the girl's face. Before she could say more, the headband came soaring past and Kya merely watched as it made it's pathway. By the time Jun looked back, Kya would be more serious, though a hand absently ran through her silver gray locks. "Sorry, Jun. You've got lackluster timing. Everything's so busy. I'll come find you as soon as I can, but for now... probably best not to poke the one armed tiger." Outside the door, she could hear the sounds of another newcomer, and aimed her head towards Chie. "Might wanna give that extra headband to the guy outside as well." Once more she cast her infinite gaze upon her learder. "By your leave, we can check on whatever is happening at the doors," she finished, casting a glance and wink over to Jun. A promise to be back to her soon.

Chie was so focused on the map plotting that she did not at all notice that there were other ninja in the room aside from herself, Kya, and San. There was that one guy, followed by the girl who had a headband chucked at her. Another headband came soaring at Chie's location, something which the young kunoichi was able to react to instinctively. Her left hand reached out and grabbed it before it hit her chest. San was clearly enraged at Jun's claim for attention, and since Chie knew that she was still on the chopping block, she knew that she was going to abide by her rules and train whoever it was she wanted her to train. That was when Kya made note of the fact that there was another person who needed a headband. Her eyes gazed to the side of her mentor as she saw the silhouette of a man. 'Her sensory powers truly are nothing to scoff at.' Chie mentally made note of. Well, San did give her an extra headband, so logically she could save the Hokage some hassle. She first bowed politely to Kya, and then again to San. She then moved over to Jun, who either caught the headband or was experiencing some mild form of pain from being pegged with the forehead fastener.
"I'll meet you at the academy. Try not to die on the way there." She said passively to the girl. Her tone wasn't stern or mean. Chie had to mentally prepare herself to resume teaching, since apparently the Hokage was giving her some sort of second chance. She definitely could not screw it up. As she exitted, she saw the boy at the secretary's desk. "Catch." She snapped toward the boy as she threw to him from her left hand the extra headband she was just assigned. "The Lady Hokage is very busy right now, so take this and come with me to the academy. You need to be properly trained in some of the big boy ninjutsu." She said, regardless of he caught the headband or not. If he did not catch it, then she would simply sigh. Either way, she headed out of the office and toward the academy. While discussing the base the location of the base of the UHV, the enemy to all villages, two genin came in the office for their headbands. They were graduates, looking to atrive their headbands. Ichiryu with current company inside the Hokage's Office witnessing the most terriblke time to have genin here. Kya metions lackluster timing, personally that is the most horrible timing in lLeaf history. "Profanity is unncesessary " Continueing their conversations Chie gave some intel about UHV's base of operations that they're near the ocean. "Kya, if they are using capturing citizens for slave labor then most likely they should still be in if not near the village, don't you think?"
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx It was always annoying to be spot on with an assessment, busy and chaotic were things already and he hadn't entered the office. He heard the mumbling of voices down the way as he craned his neck at the desk, pocketing his credentials once he was told the Kage had been busy. For a moment he observed those that departed from the bowels of the administration, the first was a woman of bleached hair and a stance that radiated power. Business, that's all it had been with this one as he tracked her movement with his amber eyes. Familiar, perhaps not immediately. Things changed too quickly for him to keep track.
"Seems I have jinxed myself" Zahara said to himself as he was about to make his own way out of the tower, certain he would need to make a reappointment. As he was about to turn around, the sound of another said of footsteps trailed behind him as he was turning away from the desk. Something was said of the academy, presumably to another individual within the office judging by the sound of their approaching footsteps to him. Out of no-where he heard the world catch as the voice was closer and he turned his head slightly to look behind.
"Shi--" He hissed out, Zahara leaned his head back and snatched the object that was sailing toward him. It was a headband? Zahara looked genuinely confused for a moment while this woman, or girl, expressed that the kage had been busy while going along the line of heading to the academy. Ninjutsu training? Headband? He stood there half-puzzled as what just happened been completely out of the blue, even outright random or just impeccable timing.
"But I don't need a..." Beginning with the sentence, he trailed off and looked at the object and then back over his shoulder. The woman that just tossed him the headband was already on their way out, and he assumed that one other person was going to follow suit from the office. With a shrug and a small sigh, he was slightly amused that he was roped into impromptu invitation to training right from his medical leave. Fingering the plated piece of fabric, it went into his kimono and he started to take his leave.

There was a lot going on, like, too much even. Jun flexed her hands against the sides of her legs, looking around at everyone acting serious in this situation. She should probably be the same way but there was just too much that the girl didn't know. What were they talking about? Nothing that concerned her immediately, so Jun shoved it right out of her head. A lady with an eyepatch and no arm spoke with annoyance on her voice and impatience in her being. "I'm pretty sure I am real, probably the most real here." Jun didn't mean that in any way to be insulting. But any one of these characters assembled around her could just as easily be a figment of her imagination. Her being someone's else creation though seemed far fetched. Like why waste the effort making something that exists to question existences? Briefly lost in thought Jun didn't have time to react appropriately to the headband being chucked at her as a dismissal. She stepped to the side and let it sail past her, clattering noisily to the floor. "Oh thanks. I guess that's it then?"
Hearing Kya talk about the old days made the rest of that seem irrelevant. Jun smiled faintly at the hazy memories. They were ill remembered not because they happened that long ago but because they happened under the influence of some pretty heavy drugs. "Hey yeah, it was rad seeing you. I'll work on my timing, just come back and maybe we can grab a sandwich or like another thing." Jun spun on her heels and bent at the waist to snatch up her new headband. Shoving it in to her pocket she angled an eyebrow at Chie. One-armed tigers and death on the way to the Academy? Today was shaping up to be an interesting one. Jun shrugged and took one last look at the room before leaving, wondering what Kya was talking about. She only saw lions.
