ᑃ Kya turned her eyes on Joe, growing a bit irate that he didn't take his orders and get moving. "As it stands, your orders are to get your subordinates, and go scout for the enemies in the country, while avoiding detection. Concern yourself with that." she would reply to him. "Now get moving." It was a warning that he needed to actually go. After he was gone, the office would be clear for Kya and San to discuss whatever was going to happen next.

Ichiryu did what Kya asked to start the mission. "I'm sure she wasn't this spunky in the academy". Ichiryu left the office to gather Nisengo and Sumika.
After the room was vacated by all but San and Kya, San's secretary entered the office and shut the door. He looked at the two of them and San nodded as her sign of consent. "The main gate is reporting that an Atsuko Uchiha, affiliated with Shishin is here to request an audience with you lady Uzumaki. He claims to have new information to tell you."
San knew of the man, at least so far as it was the name signed to the bottom of a letter meant for Taka. Beyond that she knew little of him or his organisation. Though after his escapade through the village during the attack, she was quite interested in a face to face chat. "Kya, you wanna stand guard for me so that he can't pull any stuff with his Sharingan?" Such a thing wouldn't be too hard for the woman, she'd grown nearly as much as San had during these past couple of months and no doubt was more than a match for Atsuko. Turning to the secreatary she added, "Assign a two person escort yo, radio check in every three minutes. I'll met meet with 'im now."

ᑃ Ah, so another sharingan wielder was the one at the gates. How lovely. Kya narrowed her eyes at the secretary, not maliciously but more in a sort of morbid curiosity. Was he on par with her? Was he the one who had come to the village when everything started going to s**t? Would oppurtunity be her friend today? As innocuously as one can, Kya's mind meandered over the possibility that San would reprimand her for smearing him about the room to take his eyes.
She didn't let the thought stew, and San interrupted the stream of her own thoughts to make a request. "Of course," she replied standing and performing a set of seals before touching the floor just about the center of the room and allowing her chakra to spread about the ground of the room. She would take a seat in one of the two chairs in the office after making sure there wasn't still leftover glass in it. The notion made her flicker her eyes to the windows. Still broken. Incredible how slow progress becomes after a large scale attack. More work was needed to continue galvanizing the troops.

Sneaking around the corner of the building Chloe sat crouched in the bushes until she was absolutely certain that no one was around to spot her. The moment the coast was clear Chloe whipped out a small black marker from her pocket. How better to initiate her new arrival into her home then by leaving her mark on it? Carefully laying out the lines, Chloe drew the Uzumaki symbol with the words Sit and Spin going around the edges. Once she was thoroughly satisfied with her work the young girl bounced around the corner and rushed up the steps to the building eager to get her headband as soon nice as possible and get on with her training. Sauntering over to what looked to be the secretaries desk. Chloe crossed her arms and rested both arms on the polished wood and with on over-expressive sigh swung her head back and forth as she waited to be helped by someone.

He had only been to konoha once, and was quite deliberate in the direction he went back then. That had been in a time of termoil for the village which he was saddened by, mostly as he was unable to help. At the time he was quite weaker and couldn't have made much of a impact. Now was much different however, and he'd see it through as to what he could do.
The receptionist looked up from his desk and smiled with a polite air as he looked to Chloe. "How may I be of service to you miss?" His voice was even tempered and spoken at a lower volume such that it would seem as if he was speaking solely for her ears alone.
Meanwhile the ANBU the escorted Atsuko past the lobby and to San's office. They took up guard outside of it and motioned for the man to open the door and enter.

Location ☷ xxxWith ☷ xxxThoughts ☷ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Atsuko swallowed his breath and opened the door smoothly quick to take in his surroundings. He hadn't met the kage before but how procedures were hinted to him that there had either been a change of power, or a change of methods. The fact that there was someone else in the room was curious to him but the kage was the one to dictate who was and wasn't here after all.
When he met her eyes Atsuko would give a short formal bow, keeping his hands to either side of him in a neutral position. His eyes were dull gray and kept a steady gaze to her when he returned to standing position in front of her desk. This close up it would be easily visible of his younger age, the mask having been already removed and stored away at the gates.
"My apologies hokage for my delay in meeting you. Things have been quite busy for the Shishin and I did not want to infringe in any rebuilding process that you may have been involved in. I am Atsuko as you know, and I can answer any questions you may have before we move forward"
Chloe, who had fallen asleep while standing, awoke with a start to find herself face to face with young man tailored in a well groomed suit that surprising did much to bring attention to his broad frame. His brown hair was cut neatly into a spiked fashion, but in a more tasteful manner the usual messy bedhead look that Chloe had seen so many of the other men in the village wear. Even his manner of speaking all spoke volumes about the elegant grooming standard that he undoubtedly held himself too. "Oh, wowzers. I could use plenty of your services honestly." Leaning on the wooden desk, Chloe pierced her casual flirt with a playful wink. "Maybe we could start with the headband retrieving ones? I'm uhm.. 'bout to be a new genin and I heard that this is the ole headband factory."
ᑃ Kya narrowed her eyes as she felt not one, but two chakra signatures that she wasn't familiar with. The first stopped at the secretary's desk, just barely not triggering the sensory skill Kya had laid over the room. She had one leg folded under the other, her preferred seating arrangement no matter the seat, and had taken to running fingers through her long, thick white mane. It had been a little while since she had time to comb it, and after a wash it tended to knot up if she didn't do so periodically. It was with an unnerving precision that she absentmindedly did so, eyes still as ice. Her attention was elsewhere, both turned inward as she meditated to increase the depths of her chakra and stamina, and spread out her awareness in a sensory zone larger than the square footage of the office. Her attention was on Atsuko. When he neared the door, Kya looked to San and gestured behind her towards the door. She took a deep breath, and allowed the weapon she'd put a lot of time and work into rest across her lap. It was a bit of a focusing tool for her, both as she allowed the free flow of chakra to go in and out, express itself with a glow of black rising from her skull and then be repressed as even her sharingan dulled just a smidgen. [Training, C rank]
When his foot touched the ground inside, Kya narrowed her eyes but didn't turn her head to view him at all. No instead she decided she'd examine his chakra network, slowly but surely. She wondered what type of ninja he was, and if the god's favor lay anywhere within him. He maintained an air of neutrality. Smart on his part, considering his current standing. When he spoke, she noted the youth in his voice. He could be no older than she was, that much was clear. Still, she merely allowed her fingers to glide between strands of silken snowy locks. It wasn't until his last sentence that she even considered speaking, and in half a second she made the choice to do so.
Two things bothered her. Firstly, however busy things were for the Shinshin they had saw fit to do what she maintained was underhanded, going where he didn't belong in a time where the village assuredly could have surely used his aid. To say that he cared for the building process in anyway was a slap in the face, and Kya hated being slapped. Secondly... no one did know who he was or whoever the ******** the "Shinshin" were. Kya took the moment to speak, voicing her discontent with what she viewed as useless posturing. "Save your feigned good will and pleasantries. You didn't care about the building process when you capitalized on the national emergency to find what it was you were looking for, so there's little reason to believe you care about infringing on the rebuild." It showed in her face that any sort of neutrality she had for him had been tainted into the negative. She would quiet herself for a second, deft fingers weaving her knee length hair into a braid that would shorten and tighten the flow of it all. She would concede that it was hers simply to observe, but bore no apology for what could be seen as speaking out of turn.
Wrong foot forward indeed.

He laughed softly at her response, it was fairly common among the younger of the village shinobi. Over the years of strife faced by Konoha it seemed many of the men had either died fighting or had given up on the idea of becoming shinobi. Such was the gender disparity that it seemed most if not all of the younger ninja were women. That made him a rarity even if he simply worked for the shinobi. "I don't know about a factory, though this where most come to receive the honor of their first headband. My lady the Hokage prefers to follow tradition and give them out personally though I'm afraid she is in a rather delicate meeting. Though fortunately I have a collection for just such an occasion." A drawer was delicately slid open from behind the desk and a head band produced. It was shiny and new, unscratched and the cloth carefully folded to create a nice presentation. "Not that I would wish to send you away so soon, but I am worried you will fall behind your classmates if you do not join them at the academy. It is my understanding that miss Chie Sagaehara is providing extra training at the request of our mistress."

Sanae looked the man over with her gold and silver eye as he entered the room. Younger than she had expected though that shouldn't have been too surprising. Most of the influential people in this time were youths. His bow was noted though somewhat tarnished by his refusal to lower his eyes. It was smart of him not to from a warrior's perspective, but the idea that she would attack him while his head was lowered in respect to her was insulting. Though far more insulting were his words. As he spoke San began to visibly frown. Kya's words more than sufficed as coverage of her feelings towards his notion of infringing. However what irritated San far more was the way he spoke to her. This was not his meeting to control and the continuation of it relied upon the man's ability to keep San interested in why she should entertain it at all.
It was then that a flicker passed through the window before a cloaked and masked ANBU member was standing next to San. They handed her a small slip of paper before vanishing once more. Her eyes briefly scanned it and she grimaced at the words before crumpling it and placing it upon her desk. Her opinion of the man before had manage to sink somewhat further. The message had been short but detailed a synopsis of his conversation at the gate. "Atsu-CHUU!" A loud sneeze seemed to pierce the air as San was forced to cover her mouth with ninja like reflexes. She sniffled and crinkled her a nose bit before clearing her throat and continuing. "Excuse me yo, I'm a tad allergic to bull s**t. So lemme make something real clear here Atsuko. Kya pretty much nailed my feelings with what she said. So far as I'm currently concerned you're a snake. The only reason that you are not a wanted criminal of Konoha is because the former Hokage allowed you inside our walls and you shared enough of the information you stole that I could learn what you had." There was a pause in her words as she waited for what was said to sink in. San very much wanted him to understand that he was on fragile ground and a misstep could spell doom. In this meeting, the Hokage would not be quick to give ground or space to an outsider she clearly viewed as a trespasser and a liar. After all she had seen the bodies at the mansion and though the bodies processed so far all contained wounds which could be attributable to the terrorists who attacked their home, there were still many left without examination. That left a question in the air as to whether or not this "Shishin" group had killed some of her people to gain entrance to the stone. "Now that the air is cleared, let's get down to it yo. Tell me why you're here."

Well he had tried to start things off on a positive note it seemed as though his poisition had already been decided by them. A position that was far from good. One that was quick to judge and quick to anger.
His mouth pursed into a frown.
"If that is how you feel hokage i'm afraid then the only reason i'm here is to mend that wound I have caused. I am not here to antagonize. In fact I cannot really discuss anything if your opinions of me are already that low. What must I do to fix this?"
ᑃ Kya saw he didn't seem to really respond to exactly what she and San had said to him. In fact, his response was a bit curt considering what he had been charged with. In fact, he completely omitted a response to Kya entirely. Once more the black smoke rose from her head as her chakra materialized. She took a deep inhale, then exhaled quickly, like a dragon of the sea expelling the brine from it's lungs. When the smoke stopped, she closed the eyes previously settled on the back of his head, one hand resting on the handle of her weapon and the other holding a single handseal. Her chakra network was continuously being turned on and off during the meeting, something likely to make surrounding sensors go nuts with confusion about what was going on in the village. When she did deign to speak again, it was only after he asked what he needed to do to fix the problem he'd caused for himself. Kya gave it a second of thought. Making him take the trial would be fun. She could scatter his ashes to the wind if he failed, and that would bring her some semblance of closure for the whole event. At the thought, the chakra traveling sporadically spiked a bit, then lowered once more. If he passed, well that would be all the better for the world at large. Even so, he wouldn't be afforded the oppurtunity. Kya's heart fluttered for several reasons as she remembered Sonyo would be the first person she tested. It showed in the chakra and stamina flow of her body should anyone be looking that she was just a tad bit beside herself at the thought. The irritation ebfore her, however, had to be dealt with first. At the best, she expected her opinion of him to level out. That said, she did have an idea. "Lord Hokage," she emphasized as a warning, "Since he was indeed entirely complacent in the destruction and death that was no doubt surrounding him from the moment the absentee mother figure let him in all the way to the time he made it to the compound and back, I think it'd be more than fair to make him help with the ongoing cleanup and rebuild efforts." She smirked, eyes still closed, as she made the suggestion. If he really did wish to fix it, there'd be no reason to object. Her chakra flared up once more, and she breathed short, silent breaths while she maintained it. Doing this took herback to childhood when teenagers decided for themselves if they would give themselves over to god's will, or follow their earthly desires. There was no shame in the latter, and for most tribes it was preferred. Religion was hard, and viewed as a burden. Kya knew well that it was her burden to carry the will of god in her body. This was why she had elected to do this training. She also was keenly aware that it was her privilege to see the truth. In her mind's eye she saw them always, Kortal Khan, Magatai and Ma'aui. When her chakra flourished, it was Ma'aui guiding it, when she struck it was Kortal Khan fueling her fury, and when she lacked clarity, Magatai set her straight. In this situation, there was a mixture of the three guiding principles that was dictating how she interacted with the boy before her, and how she reacted to him. She might have been harsh, perhaps unneededly, but she was a teacher first and foremost. People like him needed to learn of consequence and recompense first and foremost. One eye opened briefly, azure blue instead of deep red but clearly still sharingan. Words could teach well, but broken bones and missing fingers could do so far better. [Meditate x2: B rank +60 C/S]

Chloe snatched the headband right out of the secretary's hand with a triumphant sqwee. This was it! Her ticket to the big leagues! No longer would she have to scrounge and steal for scraps off of the big fish. Now she would be a big fish. The only thing that could make this even better would be if she didn't have to be tied to a village to get it, but from what she could tell these shinobi barely even had to do their job as it was and when they did it usually involved killing people. Chloe figured that that was a reasonable price to pay. Taking the cloth part of the headband Chloe tied it in place around her arm where it could proudly shown off. The moment it was done the young girl was right out the door in a flash, barely even giving her new friend time to finish his sentence. She had gotten what she wanted from this place and right now there was only one place that she wanted to be. What to learn first? What would net her the most money or be the most useful if she were kicked out of the village? If her aptitude test from her time in the academy test was correct then a good place to start might be medical jutsu? Apparently she had a real knack for the stuff, which she couldn't find more ironic though it seemed as good a place as any.
As much as some part of San's ego enjoyed being called lord over even lady or nothing at all, it was something that lacked requirement in her mind. "I scarcely force the genin to call me Hokage, from an outsider the title is enough so long as it's backed by an understanding yo." Though it may or may not have been apparent by her words, it was intended to impart the idea that so long as one respected the weight of her station the title was pointless. Behind her decisions were the lives of thousands, that was what her title represented. Not a demand for respect of her, but an understanding of whom she represented. To disrespect her was annoyance, to spit on her people was something which provocated death. In this manner Atsuko was walking a thin line, in San's mind he was too quick to see them as equals in a manner which she despised. Still it was a personal insult non the less and she would restrain herself. Though she felt some of his other actions were treading on the latter, for example his idea that whether or not she liked him was a factor in her decision making. While it was true that trusting him or an understanding of his word having value would be a positive opinion those things did not necessarily come part and parcel with an overall high opinion. Only one thing mattered when dealing with outsiders, what could they actually provide for her people in a way that did not endanger them to security risks.
"As for you Atsuko, you can get over that Uchiha pompousness... no offense Kya. This situation does not revolve around you. I don't know you or your organization. When you're in a position like mine, the interests of your people are what matters not those of trespassing outsiders. So for you to get whatever it is you want, you need to make it align with those interests somehow. If you can't, then the Shishin might as well be so many gnats in a swamp." Harsh were Sans words and more than likely they would upset the man. She knew this, but San was the type of person who liked to see how others reacted when they were pushed. Would he suck in his pride as the group's leader and learn to deal with someone that didn't grant him the world on a silver platter, or would he continue to intensify his frown and push back against her? Either way she would learn of who Atsuko Uchiha of the Shishin was.
While Kya's suggestion had been a decent one, San was unconvinced by the stated desired. If he reiterated his desire to mend relations than something could be given. Though perhaps the stated desire would change after what she had relayed. "Tell me what it is you want."
