It was actually exactly how he saw it, the title to him did hold a great purpose where as lord was typically a title that held either very little meaning in the greater scheme of things or perhaps something completely different. It seemed now that the meeting at the very least was getting focused, which was good. When he spotted Kya's eyes however he recognized them immediately, his recognition of them flashing empathy across his own eyes.
"I had come to discuss the tablet. However....those eyes of Miss Kya may have already revealed more to you then I had been able to interpret" he started with before looking towards Kya. Though he didn't want to break immediate eye contact he also didn't want to come off as hostile, so after he looked at her he'd look at the ground beneath her and his own mangekyou would flash across his eyes for a few seconds, enough so the two of them could see it clearly before it faded away. "I am sorry for you loss" he said. Perhaps he was over stepping his boundaries here but he had known the pain she had suffer all to well, and more then once.
Still keeping his eyes low he'd continue. "I also want to say that the way I speak simply is how I am, it is how I was raised. If you two would prefer I talk differently I can try my best but I want to assure you that this isn't a show I'm putting on just for you.

ᑃ Deep breathing continued, low scale meditation largely unabated by the goings on of the conversation. When he spotted her eyes, opened so she could listen to what the Hokage was saying, she watched his gaze avert towards the ground, narrowing her eyes when his own flashed. Suddenly she felt painfully empathetic, offering a nod to his words. "To you as well. I like to think when they're on, Chet can see through my eyes. His energy passed on to me when they awakened, and so now I live strong in his memory. When one dies, that's what my religion believes happens. Their energy simply returns to the universe in one way or another. Hopefully it helps."
Still, though, that didn't stop her from being intruiged about his reason for return. Once again, he needed to see the stone tablet, eh? Kya was not so inclined to give him what he wanted for free. No, it would be a travesty in her mind, no matter how sympathetic she honestly did feel for him. Knowing she was cursed to see those she grew close to die only served to make Kya feel infinitely apprehensive in the narrow depths of her mind when it came to San. If she continued to grow close, then only ruin would befall her. It was inevitable. But... the Hokage was magnetic in a way Kya was far too entrenched in to simply turn her back on. "Have your Shinshin came to blows with them as well, Atsuko?" If so, then they might have something to talk about indeed. Still, she maintained a relatively impassive as she examined, mentally, the information her sensory technique was flooding into her the longer he stood within.

'If I was a headband-giving-person where would I be?' Suzuki thought as she patted her way through the Hokage's building looking for anyone that could give her a hand or a headband. She had been told this was the place to get one, but she wasn't sure who actually gave out the headbands. As long as she had lived in Konoha Suzuki had never really been in the Hokage's building. Or at least had never been it for very long. Becoming an official genin was a recent choice Suzuki had made, but she hadn't really given getting a headband much thought. 'Maybe I can just sew the symbol to my shirt.' As she turned her head left and right two red beads tied in her hair clacked together. The building itself wasn't very large, but there seemed to be a few more people than normal running about. One person caught her attention. A young girl with short black hair sprinted away from a man sitting at a desk. As Suzuki watched the girl bolt out of the building she couldn't help but notice the shiny metal headband on the girl's arm. '...OH! Maybe that's where I get a headband!' Suzuki thought as she made her way over to the man at the desk. "Excuse me?" she said while clasping her hands behind her back. "Is this where new genins get their headbands?" She asked politely smiling at the man.

The secretary smiled as Suzuki asked her question with a politeness that was uncommon among many of the new genin. "Why yes it is young miss. I take it that you are asking because you are seeking one." He was not uncertain about such details which was shown in his voice. Indeed San made it part of his job to know all of the graduating genin. A drawer was gently drawn open and a fresh headband pulled from within. It was then held out for her to take from his open palms. "Please accept my apologies on behalf of my lady, she would handle this personally but she is in an important meeting with a foreign national at the moment."
Meanwhile in the meeting with the foreign national... "Pretty much as Kya said, the UHV can eat s**t." As for the other things Atsuko mentioned, well San was glad that he finally admitted to what his ultimate goal was. Truth be told she really did not care at all for how well they got a long so as her people received a fair and sage bargain in exchange for the information. His condolences were Kya's to receive and so much as San could tell the gesture was appreciated.

They reported hearing a warning upon arriving in the area and stopped. They exchanged words with a projected voice and convinced its owner to leave. Mission was successful. One unconfirmed report suggests the culprit may have attended the academy here under the name Alexei. --------------- Incident Report: "Land of Rivers, 9/27" Routine patrol uncovered signs of a large scale fight in an area about five kilometers long. Several squads were dispatched to secure the area. All were rendered unconscious by an unknown toxin at various points across the battlefield, delivery method unknown. Rescue team noted white fur on some of the foliage and very large animal tracks. When pressed for information on the latter, one soldier stated: "Looked like damn rabbit feet, but I ain't a biologist." Biologist's Addendum: The fur and animal tracks do appear to be from a rabbit, according to a hunter. --------------- Incident Report: "Hidden Grass 12/21" Attempted retrieval of target creature was interrupted by a hostile party. All squads present engaged with a large white creature and were later found unconscious and stripped of their gear. A retreat was effected and a second team was sent in with an escort. Medic's Addendum: Multiple cases of suffocation until unconsciousness, multiple cases of partial drowning, several instances of puncture wounds. Upon regaining consciousness, one soldier reported hearing the words: "Get them, Sacnite". Probably the name of one of the assailants. First letter: Productivity is up. Route materials through the mining shipments coming in from the west. Clear out any problems in Yogoregakure before using the tunnels again. Give out a bonus for info on Sedna. ---------- Second letter: That bomb nut you sent our way has been absolutely amazing at clearing out more space, but he's already blown off half his hand and he's seriously affecting morale. I'll be setting him on leave so the workers can get some peace, maybe shipping him up to the Snow Lantern Path to clear out the avalanche. On a related note: we found a big white thing in the ground that we can't get through. Should we be worried?

Test Report #059 Summary: Subjects AME 1210 and KAWA 1210 were administered drug RP-02j. Subjects displayed heightened aggression toward examiners but resumed normal behaviors when left alone. "Our most recent mission involved breaching a UHV compound that was hidden underneath sasagi city. They have a rather large mining operation down there as well as a large laboratory that held more questions then it did answers. The documents there pertain to what we were able to retrieve. Outside of stealing these documents we took care of one of the research heads as well as did a considerable amount of damage on our way in and out.
Besides that we have worked on disrupting their supply lines, and destroying a few warehouses of theirs. The stronger we get the more I plan to put the Shishin to bolder and stronger moves against the UHV.
If the UHV is a thorn in your side then I can promise you that we share similar final goals here. I am more then willing to share any and all information I get on the UHV regardless of if it profits me or not. Atsuko finished with. He was trying to be as concise as possible but there was a lot to talk about and a lot they could bring up. Whether the documents would suffice, or if they had errands for him he wouldn't mind either or. ᑃ So the enemy was based in Sasagi, eh? With the Shinshin doing their thing to disrupt them, and with the potential for power that Atsuko had just from being of similar blood, she imagined the invasionary force in the Land of Fire couldn't possibly be that big. She hadn't yet looked over their notes, but she could only imagine the kind of awful s**t that their enemies were getting up to. She placed a hand on the knee of her folded leg, running fingers absently through the silken strands of hair on her had as before. She remained quiet, deciding it would be best to let San handle the meeting until such a time as her input was required. Kya did wonder if she would make him do something else before she let him back into the compound.

It was certainly interesting that they had clashed with the UHV. However the saying "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" only went so far. In San's mind the friends of today could be tomorrow's enemies. Failing to prepare for that would be a blunder. This was no more evident than in the breakdown of relations between Konoha and Sunagakure. Flicking open the folder she thumbed through the files and skimmed the information, "This for me to keep or do ya want it back?" How quickly she read through it thoroughly would depend on the answer to that question. However more was being offered though she was unsure of whether or not Atsuko knew of anything about the UHV presence in the land of fire. "Got any dirt on their ops within this nation?"

"You can keep those documents, I've already made copies for personal storage. As for within the lands of fire not quite. Our focus has been so far on their dig ins in the more neutral areas such as Sasagi or Takumi. They seem to enjoy spreading themselves quite thin though. It would be surprising if the UHV had enough forces to threaten every single village and neutral area yet they have chosen so far only to throw stones rather then out right conquer.
We have been working with a number or two other villages so what I can say is that the UHV are definitely being pressured on more then one front. I'd almost like to believe the only reason they even hold Oto is due to the civilian casualties that could be caught in the cross fire if another nation were to try to rip them free from power.
If they are risking operations here well there bases in Sasagi and else where are under fire that paints a rather questionable situation for them. When we attacked the base in Sasagi they had man power for certain but not in droves, other wise we wouldn't have been able to complete our mission. I am starting to think their overconfidence is showing"
It was the best guess he could give. Outside of the one excursion to the leaf village he hadn't spent the time to actually spy on the uhv, though that was for other reasons.

Since the files were hers to keep, San would simply read them over thoroughly after the meeting had ended. Hopefully they would provide something of use to her current predicament. However it was disappointing to hear that he had little to offer in the way of actionable intel within the borders of Fire. Still it wasn't as if she would exactly trust that he wasn't a UHV spy giving them false information if he did. She'd have her own forces do their utmost to cross check and verify what he had handed over at the very least. With the knowledge that she was a target it wouldn't be too hard to see them laying a trap with juicy information on a target, though admittedly it was highly unlikely. Still it couldn't be ruled out. Hence why she was going to share nothing of their current operation. Though no fault of Atsuko's, she also could not enlist his help for the possibility that the Daimyo would see such a thing as a sign of the village's ailing health. One more reason for him to disregard them and sacrifice the lives of thousands. That was something she simply could not risk. However as he spoke an idea began to form in her head, something that he could actually do.
Ayame had discovered one of the objects the invaders had sought and the details of it were quit entertaining. Perhaps it was not too late to find the others? While it was likely that those monsters had already gone on, it was possible that they left behind clues as to where they went or even succumbed to a defeat at the hands of someone else. Since her own ninja were quite occupied, perhaps this would make a sufficient test. "Forget about the UHV within these borders, defeating them is something Konoha must do alone. Can't say much more about that but there is something I can allow you to do yo. Several glass orbs were stolen during the attack on this village, if you can find even one of them I'll consider your dept to the dead paid."
A drawer was yanked open behind the desk, the sound of rifling through folders soon followed. After a few second, she pulled forth a small folder containing a handful of papers. Her gold and silver eyes traced it for a moment before she grit her teeth, the expression on her face becoming somewhat irritated. Perhaps it was simply from the memories of the attack? Finally San spoke up again, "If you wanna run with this, then go north from the village and through the woods. Among the mountains to the north you'll find the abandoned ruins of where the early ninja of this country used to reside. It's suspected that the invaders fled to there. Can't say whether or not they're still there... so I don't recommend goin' it alone but you also might be safer solo. Up to you really."

ᑃ Kya had her attention just about evenly split between two things. The first was obviously the conversation at hand, and the second was the continuing stream of information that was being dredged up from the Atsuko being within the zone of her Sensory technique. Without a doubt, he was an Uchiha firebrand, with a specific focus on fire skills. She herself was spread out more than he was element wise, but where he had potency, she had the power of versatility and adaption. Interesting how evolutionary paths could take so many in such varying directions. The universe only grew because people, like Atsuko and Kya, lived in a world where variance was necessary for survival, just as much as ambition. She could see in him the will of god more now than before. At the very least her opinion of him reached a neutral point. Perhaps even slightly favorable. "I'm glad we've reached something akin to common ground," Kya would comment, nodding to the leader of the Shinshin. The guards who had escorted him would step forward at a respectful nod from Kya, and then she would turn her head to him. "Do see to it you are careful, as even with the tools to fly, Icarus did fall to folly." With that, she would wait for him to leave the office before casting her glance back to San expectantly.
"Wasn't as unpleasant as I was imagining it would be, at least. On that note, I would like to request a bit of leave to go and train with the Snake sage." she would request, allowing her leg to unfurl from below her and properly set itself against the ground. "It would be beneficial, probably, for me to follow up on a promise the Kazekage made to me when I went there to fight the Shukakku." She dropped the bomb that she knew both the Kazekage and had fought the Shukkaku quite casually. "And also, while I was there I learned of the host to that weapon of mass destruction. It's Sonyo. The one who sent me the letter. So yeah, suffice it to say I'm invested in some time with them, perhaps come back even stronger than you.
