Amarantha ❄ Vlakhusha

Ninjutsu Specialist ❄ Hyouton ❄ Chakra: 300 ❄ Stamina: 200

Amarantha was quiet for a moment as she thought about her next move, then decided to train her body again. She took several deep breaths before she moved into a basic stance. She pulled one arm close to her body, fist closed and curled fingers facing upwards. She twisted her body at the same time as she threw that fist out. As she threw her punch, she twisted her arm so that her curled fingers were facing downward at the end of the punch. [1/1] She shook her head and smiled slightly, if there was one thing she could be grateful for, it was her mother’s obsessive need for her daughter to know how to defend herself. She sighed and tied her hair up into a ponytail with a spare bit of leather she’d tied to her wrist, then began to move on. She switched her stance a little bit and pulled her dominant leg back behind herself. With her nondominant leg she stepped forward and snapped her other leg up into a kick. [1/1] She followed it up with another kick, but this time she jumped into the air and swung her other leg around. She snapped her back leg back in front of herself while she was still in the air. Effectively performing a roundhouse kick. [1/1] She landed on both feet nimbly and then sat down. She stretched her legs out as far as she could, putting herself into a complete split. She then stretched her body forward, placing her front flush against the floor as she did so. She then reversed the entire process before she stood back up. She stepped forward and slid on foot, twisting as she did so into a side kick. [1/1]

Tsuki Antei
"By the still moonlight"

"Ief ya think goi'ing braress-" Moeru was interrupted as Tsuki speaks up over the slurring teammate.

"Thank you, Kagerou." Her blue eyes shifted in a pointed manner from Moeru to the medic, indicating for the injured shinobi to also give her thanks. Moeru huffed by complied.

"Thank You, Handsome." She deliberately over did the enunciation, but the sincerity was there.

Amarantha ❄ Vlakhusha

Ninjutsu Specialist ❄ Hyouton ❄ Chakra: 300 ❄ Stamina: 200

Amarantha sighed softly as she began to stretch. Just a little but more training and then she’d see if there was anything that the Acting Hokage thought she could assist with. With her hair still in its ponytail she began to stretch and twist. [1/1] She then began to jog in place for a moment, before she took off at a rapid pace around the room, weaving and dodging around dummies. This was all very important, just as important as strength training. [1/1] She began to, while still running, jump and twist. She bounced off of sturdy objects, twisting around the dummies and other obstacles. She was now training her ability to keep her footing, and to dodge attacks. [1/4] Her focus had not been on physical pursuits. Or rather, her mind did not turn to physical pursuits as well as it did to ninjutsu. But she could still train her body. [2/4] Her body could still learn, it was called muscle memory after all. And muscle memory was just as important as the brain’s memory. Besides, she did enjoy the extra challenge doing anything without chakra posed to her. [3/4] She placed her palms onto something about hip high and launched her body over the obstacle without slowing down. She would continue to do this for a little longer. She needed to train herself in this. [4/4] Amarantha slowed down as she made it back to where she had been to begin with. She wiped some sweat from her brow and then bounced in place for a moment to keep her muscles nice and warm. [1/6] Ama firmly planted one foot on the ground, then twisted her body around, pivoting on her planted foot, as she wrapped her other leg around the torso on a dummy. She used her momentum to swing around the dummy, dodging an imaginary attack as she did so. [2/6] As she spun a second time, she twisted to bring her body up around the ‘shoulders’ of the dummy. She was using her momentum and her flexibility to dodge ‘attacks’. Her flexibility would aid her in dodging quite a bit, and she was thankful for that. [3/6] She wrapped her legs around the dummy’s shoulders, down and under them, then did a backbend. She placed her hands on the ground and used her strength to flip the dummy over and back. [4/6] She flipped back onto her feet and stared at the dummy she had just taken down. Just a little more. She whipped her face once more. She was working up quite a sweat, but it was certainly worth it. [5/6] She sat down and began to stretch, cooling down so as to not cause cramps later. It was one of the things her father had actually taught her. She would forever be grateful to the things her father had taught her. It was all she had left of the man now, but it would help see her through her chosen path as well. [6/6]

~ I feel like laughing- a metempsychosis like this where you can suddenly bubble up and softly disappear. If you want to be loved, say it out loud. Just thinking about it won't convey it. Even the eternal maiden looks away, and heaven moves further away from us.

"Kuso...It's too hot outside." Soraru exclaimed to himself, his dark haori flung over his right shoulder rather than being draped over it. It was really just a typical day in Konohagakure, but he wasn't born for such temperatures. High up in the mountains with the constant tinge of cold, that was his environment. He couldn't even see his breath anymore, and it always made him wonder when he'd go back to the Land of Lightning.

The academy was quite large, its facilities condensed into one building rather than multiple. That resulted in more traffic on the way to his intended destination, but it was fine so long as nobody approached for conversation. Thankfully, he managed to walk his way through the "shinobi academy" portion of the building and into the library with nothing more than a few polite smiles and acknowledging nods of his head to anyone he managed to lock eyes with. On the other side of the library was the desk he was looking for. Before making his way over there, he stopped by the librarian's desk and raised the hilt of his weapon with his left hand to show the Kumogakure headband, if the librarian was so inclined to look. "My name's Soraru Hiraite. I'm looking to check out a book or two if it isn't a problem." He said, voice low and calm, figuring that the rule of being silent in a library expanded to more than just the ones he went to before. "Just return them when you're done and it should be fine, Hiraite-san. The spine of the book should glow red if we're ever needing them back before you've finished." He nodded, giving a quiet, polite response. "Arigatou." While he wasn't going to go book searching just yet, he hoped that he'd be able to once he got what he needed from the archives.

Soraru crossed the room with a brisk, but natural pace. His footsteps didn't make a sound, and nothing about his presence called out for attention. The sound of his left hand resting on the desk was the only noticeable noise since speaking to the librarian. His eyes looked past whoever was manning the desk and into the archives room, then the surrounding area, getting a better idea of what the missing Shinobi before him saw in his final known moments. "I'm looking for a Chīsana, if they're available. I need to access the archives for an important mission."

The woman seated at the desk tilted her head back and to the side, her gaunt, sharp-featured face resembling a hawk. The feathers of one were pinned up in her hair, tied into a neat bun on the top of her crown. She reached over the desk with a claw-like hand, palm up, her nails sharpened points looking ready to snatch away any offering that drew too close to her grip. "Request of Documents permit." She spoke, clipped and sharp. Black eyes tracked the Kumo nin's movements with pin-p***k pupils. Thin lips pulled themselves back into a sneer, but any amusement she may have been feeling did not reach anywhere else in her frame nor aura.

The desk seated in between herself and Soraru was heavy and dark, a stark contrast to her frail-looking frame but her skin showed heavy exposure to the sun and its elements. The desk was neat, little placed ontop of it bar a pen-holder with only two pens and a ruler placed in it. Set in front of the woman, before her attention was drawn elsewhere, was an open book, diagrams showing dissected avians. But the woman sat hunched forward, making herself appear even tinier behind the solid piece of furniture.

He blinked, head tilted somewhat as he took in the sight of her. She was likely around his age or younger, judging by her rank. Due to his "moving around" when younger, he was definitely older than most Genin and some Chuunin. Despite all that, she carried herself almost like a woman scorned too many times. No hospitality, no welcoming smile. She seemed more inconvenienced by his presence than anything, and she more than likely actually was. "I don't have any, sorry." He responded with the same sincere smile that he gave the librarian. It still reached his eyes, though he had to put in the manual effort for it to make it seem natural. Soraru was busy trying to follow a trail. He didn't need a bird-like girl to halt his progress in any way. She's probably just trying to make sure that someone isn't trying to waste her time with an illegitimate claim. Teasing her about it won't get me anywhere.

"The Hokage sent me. I need to follow up on the exact same information you gave another Shinobi around two days ago. Regarding a list of Chuunin who were active on a particular date." If his words weren't convincing enough, he placed both hands on the dark desk to lean forwards, the prayer beads strung around his right hand click-clacking in response to the sudden contact. "Hokage-dono told to ask about the bubble tea incident if it got to this point. I have to admit, an incident with that name is the most interesting thing I've heard all day." His smile widened, blue eyes catching her black ones with a knowing gaze. He hoped that she'd show pity to a curious soul, but something told him he wasn't going to figure out about the mysterious bubble tea incident so easily.

The woman's hand snapped closed and pulled back as if burned, but her sneer grew tighter, eyes narrowing, at the admission of a lack of paperwork. She pulled back, her upper body hunched over the book to keep on reading. "Then no." She chirped, an edge of amusement to her tone. Her attention was now back on the book, even as Soraru spoke about a list of names, of being sent by the Hokage himself. She just waved a dismissive hand and went to turn a page in the research book when her black eyes saw the Kumo nin's hand touch her desk.

Her head tilted to the side, a single, angry, dark eye glaring up at the young man. Even the feathers pinned in her hair seemed to ruffle up in warning. Her hands went to the sides slightly, as though ready to strike up and out at the - dark eyes widened, revealing they were, in actual fact, a dark brown, and colour flushed itself up under the tanned skin of her cheeks. A moment passed and the woman withdrew, pulling back to stand up in her chair, revealing her height to be shorter than Soraru's but the sharp edges and dark layers were harsh and uninviting. "Stay." She shot the word out before turning on her heel and entering the archives, the door closing behind her.

After a several minutes, the woman, Chīsana, returned, with several different pieces of paper in hand. The first, yellowed with age, was placed on the desk and pushed toward the Kumo nin with two fingers. It was dated two decades ago, and titled to be a list of active Chuunin at the time. Next, slid forward to rest beside the first, was a pink piece of paper. A death certificate. Also dated two decades ago. The name on this document was that of Kaishi Kōka.

"Those were easy to find." Chīsana spoke, her harsh tone softened slightly under the threat of bubble tea. "These, however," A third document was placed, a copy of a birth certificate, dated a few months after Kaishi's death. The paper was blue. The Father was listed as Kaishi Kōka, but the mother was not listed. "Took him two days in the archives to find them, he did." She sniffed and placed a white document down next, a big, red 'COPY' stamped in the centre. It was an academy enrolment document, dated nine years after the birth certificate. Lastly, a green piece of paper was placed. It was a copy of place of residence, dated last year. Across all of the last three, the name of the child could be seen - though that 'child' would be in his early twenties now. 'Reihai Kōka.' The place of residence even listed down Reihai's occupation; Shinobi, Chuunin.

~ I feel like laughing- a metempsychosis like this where you can suddenly bubble up and softly disappear. If you want to be loved, say it out loud. Just thinking about it won't convey it. Even the eternal maiden looks away, and heaven moves further away from us.

It was surreal, the way that her features suddenly changed from full of wrath to flustered in an instant. She looked cuter for that moment, and he found himself appreciating her brown eyes as well. He waited until she was out of sight before breaking out into a grin, finding great amusement in that entire interaction. He'd have to remember to thank the Hokage later for that experience, even if she left him even more terribly curious about the bubble tea incident.

She had been in the archives for more than just a couple of moments, so Soraru took the time to be nosy and looked at her book from over the desk, entertaining himself for the next few minutes by reading (to the best of his abilities) about avians from an upside-down perspective. He was figuring out a particularly engrossing sentence when the door opened back up, and he shamelessly took another moment to finish it, not even attempting to hide his actions from her. He leaned back out of her space and saw that she had documents for him. He spent a brief moment looking over the pink slip of paper and proceeded to let out an aggravated sigh. It seemed that he may have reached his first dead end after all. Kaishi was a dead man. It also explained why Shi hadn't heard of him. He had hoped that the last twenty years of entries in the journal was just a convenient blank space, but it seemed that the entries he found were really dated that far back.

Roughly twenty years, perhaps a couple more. More than a lifetime of missing entries, from his perspective. Just as his mind started to go to work on something that he may have missed, Chīsana saved him. He took the third document into his hand the moment that it hit the table, and a gut feeling immediately kicked in. It was something he briefly considered a while back but decided that it was too far-fetched. Just a passing theory, something that he had all the time. Don't jump to conclusions. He admonished himself, taking hold of the white slip next. An academy enrolment form. Unsurprisingly, the next form confirmed the immediate suspicion from the fourth that the boy was probably a Chuunin or Jounin. "Chīsana-san. First off, thank you. This is probably inconvenient for you." He took a deep breath, looking over the two forms in his hands. The birth certificate, and the last green slip with his place of residence. Reihai Kōka. It's more than likely nothing, and my time is best spent looking over this Chuunin, but my mind is never going to be put at east if I don't at least have an answer.

"Antei, Sekitan. Is there any way for me to find out if she was pregnant within nine months before Reihai Kōka was born? Even if there is an unnatural lack of information towards her, I feel like it's worth knowing." The look in his eyes was serious, and he placed the forms back on the desk.

Free falling. Feels like breathing for the first time. I thought it was about freedom. Was it about love? He wondered.

'Full moon. Kikyou against my cheek. Cool cobblestones under bare feet.'Was she running away at night? Then...the frustration in her writing. Unfinished words and sentences scrawled onto pages. If his theory was right, Kaishi died before the baby was born. A fatherless child in an unarranged marriage? The head of the household...no way she would allow herself to be married off. Did I hear that before? I did, didn't I?

It was a gut feeling. That's all it was. 'A wealthy family has had some documents stolen. They believe a Leaf nin was the culprit.' 'The document missing was a birth certificate. Whoever holds it could claim they are of Antei blood.' Words he'd once heard played back in his mind, and he was slowly becoming more and more desperate for confirmation. At least if he was told that he was wrong, it would put his mind at ease.

The truth is not what you want it to be. It is what it is, and you must bend to its power or live a lie.

Chīsana didn't acknowledge the thank you with anything more than a sniff and twitch of her lips, though it was softer than any of the previous times she had made the motions. At the question of Sekitan's pregnancy, however, her lips smacked together - and then immediately opened back up just as fast, like a beak giving a warning clack. "Only records kept of pregnancies is if there was a serious medical procedure involved or the baby was born and lived. Any still born or miscarries are not recorded otherwise."

Her body posture was far more rigid now, and very wary. "You want to go through the local rags of gossip from around that time, you don't need a permit to do that." She sniffed, obviously holding no love for the local papers she was referring to. But there is hesitation in her gaze now, in the slightly lowered slant of her shoulders. "The other one, the well-groomed one, who dug all these up." She began, a slight accent coming through with the long 'o' and rolling 'r' of 'groom.' "Where is he? He asked for directions to a shinobi housing structure and said he'd come back to visit." She tilts forward, rolling on the balls of her feet, to peer down her thin, sharp nose at the documents as if they were hiding something from her. "Two days ago. And now you're here." Dark brown eyes cut up into Soraru's blue orbs, and her voice was low, the sharp clip to her tongue softened to prevent the words carrying any further than needed.

"Think you should watch what you insinuate, Kumo. Reihai's good blood. But implying what you are... Uh-uh." She clucked. "Bad joojoo. Keep it to yourself." And she withdrew, reaching out to pluck back the documents, one by one. "Head North from here until you hit a crossroads with a tree in it. Go right, take the third left. Somewhere on that street is the housing unit." She sniffed, the feathers pinned in her hair were standing at an angle that could be considered a warning not to push too far.

I suppose just a yes or no would be too easy. He thought to himself, keeping himself locked up within his own mind while the woman watching over the archives spoke to him. He understood that she was warning him, but there was only so much for him to go on. Once she was finished speaking, he finally spoke up. "I'll ask about your well-groomed friend at the housing unit for you. If it's been two more days and someone else comes by asking about me, tell them not to worry about it. I'll be back. I'll have some books to return, after all." It was a strange thing to say, that was for sure, but there was a point somewhere in his words. There was a reason that he seemed to ignore all of her warnings on the surface. A reason why he never gave her his name.

It all had to do with that gut-wrenching feeling.

"Thanks for the help. Maybe, once I bring back your friend for his visit, you can tell me all about that incident." With that, he gently patted her desk, leaned back, turned around, and walked away from her. His index finger slow dragged its way along a bookshelf on his way to the exit, eyes trying to find any titles that could catch his eye. Eventually one did, one that reminded him of home, and he seamlessly put it in his satchel on the way out. She's a chuunin, just as he is. Whether or not she says he's good blood, it doesn't change the fact that it was likely a Shinobi that stole the document. Chuunin's are competent. If he's a half-blood orphan, maybe he wants to establish himself as a true Antei. Or he's just another piece of the puzzle. Regardless, he's my prime suspect right now.

He put his haori back on when passing back through the Shinobi Academy portion of the building. If he wasn't on duty, he'd probably spend some time to learn a few techniques. Hopefully this whole mess ends well soon enough.

The truth is not what you want it to be. It is what it is, and you must bend to its power or live a lie.

Yugure entered the academy, smiling wide as he looked around at the main area and those within the area. Upon searching the area, Yugure had found the perfect target. Taking a steadying breath, Yugure began to walk with soft steps, focusing on hiding himself as he approached the stretching, firey red-head. Her back was to him as he drew in closer. When he finally got close, he moved his hands around, covering her eyes and saying in a singsong voice, "Guess who, hunny buns~" He often teased his cousin like this, and he was pretty sure that he was the only one who would get away with his hands intact doing this. Giving a light laugh, he removed his hands and moved to her side, sitting down beside her, his right arm to her right arm so he could better look her in the face. "And how is Meran on this day?" He asked, a slightly smug smirk on his features. She would know what he was doing. He was always trying to get a rise from her. It was, after all, his favorite sport.

"My pleasure," Kagerou amicably bid the pair farewell. Then, once they were gone, she set herself to cleaning up the mess. The slightly bloodied bed's sheets were gathered up and set aside for cleaning. The medications were restored to their original locations and the changes to the inventory was logged. A light humming passed through Kagerou's lips as she worked to clean up all of her trash and the counter tops. Then she washed her hands, placed new bed sheets, and started probing around the nurse's office.

Here, there... Hm... Not on the bookshelf, nor with all of the other documents neatly aligned on the desk. It took some searching, but she finally found the patient log she was looking for on top of the dresser of one of the beds. Kagerou brought a pen and wrote neatly in it the basic details of Meoru's visit. After placing the patient log back where she found it, Kagerou pulled out the drawer she had found the medical charts in while looking for the patient log. Alphabetized by last name, it was a breeze to find Moeru's file in the drawer. Kagerou briefly looked over it and filed the required documents to record her latest visit.

With that... There and done, Kagerou had finished all of the paperwork required for the visit. She glanced briefly at the clock. Then she got up ready to stretch and familiar herself with the nurse's office a bit more...

Unfortunately... that was when a whole gaggle of children, half a classroom's worth, came crying in. Kagerou stared at their sorry states. She picked up on scrapes and bruises all over, but what could have...

"I'm sorry, so sorry. Sorry," a soft voice interrupted Kagerou's deductions. A soft, fluffy teacher wearing large, circular glasses was just corralling in the last of the hurt students, bent over so she could gently guide the student in by the shoulders. Her voice softly spoke over the sound of the crying children, "Oh, I'm so sorry. I know it'll be a lot of trouble, but could you please help me? I'm sorry, these children snuck off and played in the construction area when the substitute teacher wasn't looking. So sorry to bother you..."

Amarantha nearly blew a gasket the instant someone placed their hands over her eyes. But when she heard the voice attached to the hands, she growled. She looked at her cousin as he sat down beside her. Had it been anyone else, she would have stabbed them without thought and without care. As it was, she was still tempted to stab him anyway. Only the thought of what her mother would do and say stayed her hand. "Yugure. Finally decided to show your face after graduation, I see." She refused to acknowledge his flirtation, it would merely encourage him to see her react to his shameless flirting with her. He knew that it annoyed her, which was why he did it. They would kill for each other, but that did not mean that he didn't annoy her endlessly. She just shook her head and gave him a dark look, "I've already trained almost all I can. The only thing I have left is two Genjutsu that I need to learn. And I'm sure you've been as lazy as possible and haven't learned anything the academy didn't already teach you."

"As for why I am late to coming here to train and getting my headband, I decided I would write a letter to my mom, ask her how the Lightning Country is. Then I went window shopping, thought about picking up some candy for us. Glad to see I made the right choice in not." He said, turning his head and puffing his cheeks out in a pout. He wasn't upset, just continuing to tease her. "I know when I'm not wanted however. You never want me around..." He said with a sigh, standing up and looking around. While he was here, he may as well get on with the training he was told to do.

Deciding it best to let her calm down now from his surprise on her, he walked off to the wall of techniques and began taking a few at seemingly random, humming while he did. His selection wasn't actually randomized but calculated with precision. He moved to the far wall of the academy and sat down, opening up the scroll of his own clan techniques. Looking at the list, he settled on the first one, smiling with recognition. [1/5] This was why he loved hugging his mom. She always felt cool, and on hot days, while the boy sweated, she'd give him a hug and her cool skin would wick away any of that heat, if only for just a moment. Yugure shut his eyes, a light smile graced his face as he began to meditate, focusing on cooling off his body. [2/5] He breathed and meditated for some time, imagining the chakra within his body mixing the two elements he had discovered during his time in classes into becoming snow-like, letting the chill of snow permeate from his insides. As he pictured the wind and water mixing, he wasn't sure if it was a breeze or anything but he was pretty sure his stomach was starting to feel cold. He didn't move to check however, he continued his focus. [3/5] The cold sensation continued to spread. It traveled from his stomach up to his chest, then further still up until it reached his head. Also from the stomach, the coolness traveled down, to his hips, waist, groin then down his legs. [4/5] The travelling coolness continued until he was completely coated in this thin aura. He stopped his meditation and focused on maintaining that swirling mixture of chakra within him. It was easier than he thought though, because he realized that he'd likely be able to maintain this coolness even in his sleep, his body had already grown acclimated to maintaining it and he was fine to move on to other techniques without worry. [5/5 Learned!]

The next technique that he'd work on would be also fairly simple. Yugure would reach forward gather his chakra in his hands. He'd proceed to draw a sideways oval in the air, leaving behind pure fluffy cloud material. [1/2] His hands would meet back up before he'd fill in the oval to complete the cloud and look it over. The cloud was cold, and when his hand was near and he focused on it, the cloud drifted with his hand motions. He grasped the cloud and gave it a twist, showing that the cloud was malleable to his machinations. [2/2 Learned!]

The third technique was a simple one, simpler than his cloud. He reached out and pressed his hand to the cloud, palm down and sent out a pulse of chakra. The cloud produced a perfectly rounded snowball that hit the wall at the speed he'd have thrown it as hard as he could. He smiled as he took one of his senbon from his tool pouch, pressed it into the cloud as he sent the pulse again, and the snowball launched into the same spot, only now there was a senbon needle in the wall. He retrieved the needle before returning to training. [1/1 Learned!]

Before continuing on with his training, Yugure walked over to Meran and looked her up and down, eyeing her up and down like most perverted people did to people who interested them. "So, Meran-dearest, care to join me outside? I don't want to snow on these people's parade, and I do like having someone like you watching someone like me train~."

Keinosuke Uchiha/Oni

Kein had had to run some errands in between the training facility and the hokage office, one of which included grabbing his gunbai. It was a large rectangular weapon with 4 half circles on each side of it, heavy wood bobbing up and down on his back as he walked into the facility.

He knew that there were likely some teachers there so he attempted first to locate one of them before he started training. Any help he could get would be greatly appreciated and it would speed up his training.
