Learning: Yojin Bunshin no Jutsu [ Ember Clone Technique ]

Kiya's chakra was starting to cool down, but there was still one more thing she wanted to learn. With that, she walked over to the wall, but, didn't even have to skim it to find what she wanted. The Ember Close Technique, a beauty in and of itself. Kiya blacked out her surroundings, then focused on making her chakra copy itself. As the chakra left her body, she hoped that it would be stable enough to actually form into her. But, alas, all it was capable of was swirling around in her shape, then dissipating.

[1/3]

Kiya tried again. Though, this time, she tried it a bit differently. Instead of having her close form outside of her, she formed it inside of her, then let it out. But, even though it lasted longer, this one dissipated as well a few moments after it's creation. So, distraught but not to brought down, Kiya would try again. After all, she would try again and again until she finally got the hang of whatever she was trying to do.

[2/3]

This time, Kiya sent the chakra outside of herself. And this time, it actually worked. Apparently, it only to the right execution to be able to preform a jutsu. This time, when the chakra went out of her body, if bended to her will and formed to her shape. Thus creating, a perfectly identical clone. Kiya stood, awe struck, as she looked at, well, herself, and herself looked at her. In an instant they both smiled, plain, almost evil little smiles as they formed back into one Kiya. The only residue of the close was a slight charred smell.

Once the two Shinobi exited the cold prison and made their way towards the almost vast plain, Lynx was anxious to toss the handcuffs off the the side, abandoned in the snow. It was just a moment of fresh air that caught him off guard; the cool air and the light sky was almost sentimental in the way it presented itself. It had been a long time since Lynx had seen such things.

However, he was barely within grasp of enjoying the sights, as the glimmer of snowblind mixed with the rush of scents he had not partaken in during his stay in the prison facility made his attentiveness phase in and out. He was silent for just a few seconds, stretching his fingers to prepare for any unwarranted need for hand signs. It was this paranoid awareness that had perhaps saved Lynx's life multiple times; or perhaps this was not the case, Lynx did not know nor did he care. At the moment, his glare lurked in the realms of suspicion as he turned it towards the Doctor who had accompanied him on his short journey to freedom. The time for diction and conversation was over; Lynx was once again hungry, and the air against his exposed skin inspired him to run, to perhaps pounce on something and rip it to bits.

However, chaos did not become us. Lynx spat at the ground and turned towards Cain, his eyes showing more interest in something vicious than the dialogue that the Doctor was trying to provoke out of him. "I have literature..." He said pertly, referring to the old and tattered books that remained stacked in no particular order at Lynx's home, "Those need to be retrieved, eventually." This was as close to a sufficient agreement that the Doctor would ever get out of him. Lynx then cracked his knuckles and gestured at the shadowy man, looking darker than usual in the white of the snow.

"Alright, Doc.."Lynx spoke softly, grinning sharply again before taking a step towards Doctor Cain, "You freed me on a whimsy, and walked me out of that prison as if we were taking a stroll. You're either a fearless idiot, or an idiot to be feared." Lynx then cracked his neck, tipping his head sideways playfully and taking another step forward.

"Show me which."

Suddenly, a blur of Grey fur thrashed out in between the pair. As it skidded to a stop, it turned, snarling, with hackles raised. Lunging forth it bond towards the two with ease. Suddenly, a dark voice rang out. "Bain! Down." As hearing this, the beast stopped inches from the alleged doctor's face, his teeth barred. "Come." Was all the dark voice said, and, with a snarl, the beast turned and padded towards Kiya, throwing a nasty glare in their direction as it sat down, at attention, at Kiya's feet.

The air was not filled with peace for more than a few seconds before hell broke loose. Through the thick lenses of the mask Cane witnessed a flash of movement followed by the appearance of a canine figure. The beast seemed rabid nearly diseased in its chaotic lunges. It seemed the fangs of this beast were set on attacking the hidden features of the good Doctor, a mistake to be sure. As the voice rung out the impressive control of the animal was a bit too late before the Doctor leaned forward pecking at the nose of the creature with the protruding beak perched on his face. A simple tap nothing of pain a mere insult in return for the bared fangs.

Beyond the growling a simple turn of the head showed the Doctor's transferring attention. The lenses focusing now to the boy at his side. "It seems we will have to continue our conversation in a moment. Please do not ravage this poor creature, I would hate to see us both return to that chilled prison." The synthetic sounds of the voice distorter held an ambiance of inhumanity. Before the thoughts could even settle in the mind of Cane's newest companion his attention rightfully transferred to the calling girl.

"Madam if you could please keep your beast in order I would be very grateful. I do not take kindly to threats from man or mutt. Aside my person quarrels I doubt very seriously you would like to get blood on your hands, your own or if arrogance proceeds you my own." The Doctor held his cane firmly in his taught gloved hands.

Lynx smirked a little, hiding an exciting sense of joy that he had not felt since his captivity within cell walls. He laughed a little at Cain's request, turning his gaze towards the girl who commanded the feral beast of an animal that held Cain's attention and threat. He felt coy, vicious in all natures of the word. Furthermore, Lynx was nobody's servant, and he didn't respond well to requests of pacifism. As far as he was aware, this was condemning.

However, he had just eaten a liver, and the female who stood somewhat distant was young. She didn't have a lot of meat to offer. "Although I do hear it's more tender when young.." Lynx thought out loud, eyeing the girl first before the dog, before speaking directly to Cain as if the girl was infantile and not worth his attention, "You waste your manners, Doctor... I prefer not to play with my food."

His attention was briskly returned to the girl, and Lynx raised a Kunai at her dog. "Keep your flea-woven scum from us." He said, growling in his own animalistic fashion, "I don't eat dogs." Lynx tossed the Kunai into the snow between him and the girl. "However, let me know if you would like to converse yourself... We could talk about it over dinner, perhaps."

Lynx laughed, loudly and manically.

It would rather unfortunate for all if Lynx were to grow too hungry or, as far as Cane knew, angry. The girl seemed rather young a new shinobi not yet in full control of her abilities or attributes as it were. "Judging by the height of the girl, here general weight, and physical characteristics she seems to be around a prepubescent age. Before puberty sets in the hormones have yet to modify her physical stature particularly her organs, though pure by assumption they would be rather small. Nothing more than a snack to you even if you devoured all you could. The taste was well would be bland and basic, training and experience give a certain effect on the body that tenderizes and adds to the general flavor. Not worth your effort I'm sure..."

A casual stride following making a distinct set of tracks matching those of Cane's boots as well as the hole from his cane. The towering man knelt down reaching out to the kunai in the snow. "Good day madam." He said before kindly tipping his hat, his beak giving an almost comical dip as well. He spun around facing Lynx once more. "Shall we continue our business elsewhere? There are plenty of locations around for us to enjoy."

A familiar motion followed as the Doctor pulled forth a scroll. As it unfurled the Doctor made tracks heading east away from the girl. His attention clearly held to the contents of the scroll. After short trek he came to a halt and replaced said scroll. The waxed gloves came together and formed the signs detailed in the scroll. As the Doctor's chakra flowed through his body he took hold of the oxygen around him forming it into a swirling figure that slowly took physical form. The solidification came to a finish and standing beside him was an identical counterpart similar to that of the Bunshin technique.

Lynx was taken aback by the Doctor's dissipation on the situation. He was still a bit hungry, but the medic and seeming adviser had made some good points. That being said, Lynx was still not beyond a display of power, should the female decide to watch. He pulled a Kunai and flipped it around in his finger, tossing it carelessly at the Clone that Doctor Cain had laid in front of him.

However, he was feeling a bit more free in the situation, and Lynx wasn't one to work out a lack of overkill. With that in mind, he tried something new. Lynx ripped two more Kunai from the ring on his belt and flung those with his other hand. He had a tact for expressing his ambidexterity in single strokes, and in the heat of energy pumping through him, he whipped a limb out and let fly.

Lynx had kept his accuracy about him, so unless this clone was capable of moving, these aerial blades would impale him. Or perhaps it wasn't the clone? Lynx wasn't really paying too terribly much attention as it was, and though there may or may not have been obvious differences between the two, Cain himself wasn't a very distinguishable figure apart from his mask. Lynx was more than interested in perfecting his ability to let the little knives fly, but this all fell sub par to anything more melee that could perhaps assist him in any future feeding frenzies.

A gentle whistle perked the Doctor's auditory abilities, the only unaffected by his detachment from humanity. He had expected the boy would be impatient and the creation of a clone was surely to him a signal to begin. The sound was swiftly joined by a duet of more blades. The timing would have to be perfect for his next experiment to work. The first blade arrived rather quickly a testament to Lynx's abilities. The symbols formed quickly on the clones hands taking action of its own to preserve the quasi-life it had attained.

The focus of this chakra took a more violent turn than Cane had been used to. The sudden release of the energy swirled around him taking hold of the oxygen with it. This powerful release of energy threw snow into the air around him as a miniature tornado spun around him grabbing hold of the first kunai. The powerful gusts of wind yanked the dagger of course and spun it around its target instead. The power of this blade did not go unused. The blade took a full circle around the clone and swiftly launched back towards its original wielder. This blade took great speed as it flew between to two following blades. The sounds of powerful gusts filled the air as the remaining two kunai pierced through the clone dissipating back to its original gaseous form. Experiment is a partial success, further study is needed...

As the clone vanished into air the Doctor gave a setting of similar symbols as his chakra burst forth once again this time a bit more tame. The powerful energy took hold of the cooler air and in turn heated opposing air. The two densities clashed and swiftly formed a miniature tornado dancing five feet from the Doctor in all directions. Snow kicked into the air decorating the Doctor in a whirling flurry of snow. "Projectiles... interesting choice."

Three of a Kind
Simple :: Rank D 2/2

Lynx was more than surprised to see his own blade flung back at him. However, he was a fast learner, more than capable of enticing a response from a few knives of his own. After all, it only took one knife to deflect one knife, and Lynx used this self-absorbing proposition when pulling out three Kunai, all with one hand.

He threw them with aim more deadly than the ones before, designating the middle Kunai to hit the responsive, adversely flung back, Kunai, and ensuring the other two would have no dilemma in aiming at the good Doctor. He could take it, Lynx hoped atleast. At this point, they were no longer throwing blades dully at harmless clones, but it mattered little to him.

Complex :: Rank D 3/3

Lynx was hastier than before, ripping two more Kunai from his belt. He held them for just a moment, paying no attention to the sharp triplet he had let loose just half a second earlier. If Cain was going to use shields of wind and sharp, whirling snow, Lynx was no longer going to play games.

Lynx let his momentary pause go to good use, and as he let the other two Kunai fly, he did so with greater speed and energy than all times before hand. Given the nature of his attack, he was hoping these would catch up with the Kunai he had just thrown. What's more, they streaked maroon trails, the Kunai marking an obvious path in the white canvas that was the snowy aura cast over the land.

While these Kunai flew, gaining unnatural acceleration, they were set ablaze by Chakra energy. Lynx let a scorn of a laugh. "These ones have some pepper, Doc." He called out, smirking a little as they did indeed catch up with the other Kunai he had thrown. His accuracy was improving, projectiles flying from his hands faster than they could reach their target. Lynx was pleased to see the cluster of knives, but kept tabs on the fact that his belt originally contained only thirty, now down to twenty one.

Impressive, reaction time nearly double that of a normal human. The good Doctor had studied Lynx for only a week or so and as he continued to test his capabilities he grew further impressed. The kunai flew at tremendous speeds ones that Cain would have been unable to respond to. He was in luck that his chakra flow continued strong providing the veil of snow and wind that would questionably save his life. The first three blades were dealt with simply as they flew off course launching into the air and to the snow below. The second pair however proved a bit more formidable.

The first blade broke through the barrier but with the speed of the winds it was properly knocked off course and into the other end of the whirling frenzy. With the first of the purple streaked blade flying past the Doctor was rather surprised as the second carefully sliced a small cut along his bicep. A small incision was set on his skin though the chemicals pumping throughout Cain's body saw to it no pain was felt.

The cut went unnoticed as the Doctor's hands formed into significant seals. He had spent days perfecting a new form of miasma. In his previous experiments he had come across a powerful poison that was a mixture of arsenic and water. It was a potentially deadly gas in moderate doses but for these purposes it would serve as a depressant well enough to slow Lynx's movements. It had taken a good deal of experimentation to develop the proper storage and production of the chemical. The formula traced across his mind as he condensed the chemicals he carried on him. The chemicals bonded as his hands formed each symbol. Upon completion of the hand signs the small chakra container erupted with a powerful release of energy and an impressive amount of noxious gas. This light purple gas swiftly filled the entire radius of the tornado in a concentrated cloud before colliding with the whipping air. Outside of the miniature hurricane the gases spread rapidly filling a large radius of the filled with a diluted version of the gas. Exposure over extended time could result in multiple organ infections as well as potential death but when diluted it would prove to slow the enemy's movements as well as distort their aim.

Sensatsu Suishou [ Thousand Flying Water Needles of Death ]
Rank: B 5/5

Lynx was intimidated by the fact that all of his blades were on course, but none of them hit. A graze was the best he got, more than he expected from Cain's whirlwind of projectile blocking. Furthermore, Lynx was flinging blades with extreme speed, something that took energy and strength to do; The Good Doctor seemed to be paying no attention to these blades as they were flung off course.

However, when Lynx smelled the blood of the Doctor as it hovered for a second in the air, it inspired a powerful sense of adrenaline. He hadn't felt a sensation like it in a short span of time, it challenged Lynx's senses into pursuing prey. Something he was holding back. However, his keen nose did pick up one more scent, something acidic... It smelled such that a noodle pot will smell after being chemically cleaned.

Lynx wanted no part of that, and in turn was planning to retaliate. His insecurities were getting the better of him though, Lynx's memory flashed to moments where he had seen hand signs. He wasn't about to abandon his projectile idealism, simply because Lynx was unsure that he would be able to hold himself back if he was in close quarters with the Doctor. " Getting Carried away" was something Lynx was known for.

He took a breath, and started making fast hand motions, far beyond the capacity of any of the chakra infused techniques he had done before. It wasn't long before Lynx noticed the success in his movements. He was not moving out of the gas, he simply had no need. Lynx was going to end it then and there, and if it came to no avail, then he would perhaps be out of luck.

Every snowflake in the area around Doctor Cain's whirlwind froze, liquefying and turning into a sharp needle. Within seconds time, these needles encompassed the air. The needles of water, made from snowflakes, grew uncountably numerous. There must have been a thousand of them. Lynx closed his eyes, perhaps getting carried away right then and there. "Sensatsu..." He spoke through a cough, still inhaling the smoke, "Suishou.." Lynx moved his hands down, and just like that, the needles rushed at their target. Lynx hoped the Doctor had a trick up his sleeve.

The gas filled a good 20 yards swiftly and blurred the image of his opponent but this would prove to be of little trouble. It was clear no more projectiles had been swiftly launched but instead the shifting figure of Lynx's hands held something a bit more intimidating. All around his whirling frenzy the snow removed from the veil forming into a rather startling set of needles. Countless deadly needles formed from the air around him, he was sure his whirlwind would be of little help against such a powerful technique. The jutsu took action fast threatening Cain's existence his response would need to be equally as swift.

The good Doctor had wanted to avoid revealing his physical capabilities but it seemed he had no choice. The sensation of unimaginable movement filled Cain's body as his organs danced through his body expanding his lower hips and legs safely storing his organs as best they could be. Several cracks and pops filled the air drowned out by the powerful wind. The unnoticeable seams that decorated Cain's body ripped apart releasing a startling secret the Doctor held. Shooting from every small nook and cranny of the Doctor's upper wardrobe came hundreds of thin sturdy vines the composition of his long hidden bloodline. The hundreds of tendrils danced around his body solidifying into eight thick appendages that circled his body taking the majority of the needles that surged into his body. Unfortunately there were too many needles for the Doctor to prevent all damage. Many of the tiny icicles pierced into his skin making movement rather hard. A single tendril stretched to the small knob on the side of the Doctor's beak.

Click, "Enough." As emotionless, as monotone and as calm as ever but now much louder. Lynx watched in interest as the tendrils covered the Doctor, protecting him from what would have otherwise been a very painful endeavor. Lynx was breathing heavily, he had used a fair allotment of his power in that last strike. More so than that, it was the first time he had ever done anything of such a nature. He was very pleased to witness it's success first hand without having to suffer through the insecurity in a true battle setting.

At the notion of stopping, Lynx hid his fatigue behind a smirk. "Had enough then?" He said, huffing a little as he spoke. However, he disregarded his arrogance at the notion of food, because Lynx was certain that the good Doctor was aware of his limited appetite. That being said, this led notions to further excavating his abilities, and exercising them on what would soon become dinner. If Lynx had a tail, it would be wagging.

"I can't say no to a bite.." He said bluntly, giggling a little before approaching the Doctor. The snow had become a wreckage of sorts, uneven and occasionally threaded with streaks of blood. Lynx cracked his knuckles again as he approached the Doctor, glancing at the few wounds that he had created. None of them were severe; nonetheless they were impulsive to look at, and Lynx ran his thumb across the small gash on the Doctor's arm. He licked it, smirking.

"Yum yum, you taste better than you look, Doc." Lynx let a little bit of wit escape, before turning his attention to other matters, "Speaking of which, what kind of food did you have in mind?" He was definitely listening, due to the fact that the Doctor had prevented him from ripping a pre-adolescent girl to pieces. It had inspired a hunger in Lynx, and he had just gone through a fairly rigorous exercise... If one could call it that.

Lynx walked as he talked, assuming the Doctor's accompaniment. Among many things, they were not so much friends as they were advisers to each other. While he strolled, Lynx picked up the smattering of Kunai that lay in the snow. After retrieving the last of them, Lynx took his next motion briskly. He slashed his hand open, tasting his own blood with his tongue. The pain shot through his arm, sparking Lynx to recoil almost instinctively. He grimaced and sparked a few fast moving hand signs.

As if the pain was nothing, it went away, along with Lynx's fatigue and all other pain associated with the moment. He cherished the numbing feeling, letting his hand bleed freely.
