Now they were firing on all cylinders. Ideas were coming in left and right, and while they were good, Bast felt that there was something missing. There needed to be a cherry on top of this prank sundae.
"We should definitely do that last one," she agreed, "but have another one walk up from behind him and say 'Wow, that's weird'. You've gotta have a good punchline!"
Bast started running through some of the logistics in her head, then realized that it wouldn't be very fun if her juniors couldn't get in on it as well.
"Does either of you know any clone techniques? We need a pretty big crowd to really sell this weirdness."
Making his way through the streets towards the gigantic superdome, he contemplated how it would feel to finally be outside of the village again. Last time he was outside the village he was on a soul searching mission to find himself after the outbreak of the war and his promotion to Ninshuu sage. Why did things have to conspire against him to prevent him from doing what he wanted. All he wanted to do was spend time with his wife, but no he head take his team to Giman. Hopefully she would join them, at least that way he could spend time with her while doing his job as a Sensei. Approaching the group he nodded to each of them in turn before dipping his head low when he greeted Lady Bast. "Hello Lady Bast, Sadayo, Kyomei. You guys ready?"

The user is now unaffected by the additional weight of armor (to a logical limit), and when the user is out of armor, their body and technique speed is greatly increased at the loss of the protection. They are much more adept at bursting into action, going from standing to 100% in single moments. Conversely, the user can now perform these techniques without needing armor. Must relearn every technique at half the learning cost to perform techniques without armor to learn the different distances and timing of the techniques. Overrides restriction. ● True Belief: The user has meditated and trained long enough in this monk art to understand how important true belief is. By understanding the power of the spirit over the mind, and the mind over the body, the user has increased their stamina by sheer will power alone, as well as increased their toughness and durability. The user's reflexes are mildly increased. ● Trick Style: Knife Toss: The practitioner has developed a greater sense of precision and is now able to throw, juggle, and catch their knives by the hilt with ease. Confers a slight reflex bonus to the practitioner. ● Offensive Style: Artless Draw: The practitioner has better developed their ability to pull their blade straight from its resting place to an offensive slash. Slightly increases the speed of strikes made when drawing a small weapon. ● Trick Style: Retreating Feet: The practitioner, already acquainted with many techniques in the style, has finally realized that with a little bit of personal training, they are able to increase the precision and speed at which they lift and press their feet. The practitioner's footsteps are rendered silent to all who do not have enhanced hearing, and the footsteps they leave in soft ground are shallow. This not only assists their ability to sneak up on people faster and quieter, but also helps when running from trackers. ● Trick Style: Blade’s Edge: The practitioner has developed an even greater sense of precision and is now able to throw, juggle, and catch their knives by the tip with ease. Additionally, some projectiles, such as shuriken or kunai, can be caught by their tip. Confers a slight increase to the user's reflexes. ● Offensive Style: Stepless: The practitioner has become so used to performing quick and silent steps that they scarcely realize that they themselves are moving. The user's speed and reflexes are mildly boosted. ● Offensive Style: Mistborn Stepping: Silent, swift, and sharp. The practitioner is able to creep about at a decent pace while making close to zero noise. While moving through an area where cover or some obscuring factor is present (buildings, people, fog, etc.), the practitioner gains a moderate bonus to speed and reflex. ● Skill: Multitasking: While the first two stages of the style revolve around the very basics of how to use a bow, the third stage incorporates the use multiple arrows into a more stylish way of battling. Mastery allows the user to simultaneously fire multiple arrows with any technique that does not specifically state otherwise, and allows the Arrow Creation technique to create up to three arrows at once with no increase in cost. ● Skill: Manipulation: Manipulating the bow itself is simple, but controlling the arrows is very difficult. Many enhancements can be made to arrows to give them different flight paths, but buying those kinds of arrows is expensive and making them is difficult, so a method was developed wherein the user can freely alter how an arrow flies without need for such trifles. During this training, the user practices firing arrows with abnormal hand positions. Reduces the Stamina cost of bow-related Bukijutsu techniques (including Formless Styles) by 10 Stamina, to a minimum of 5 Stamina. ● Skill: Adaptability: For the most part, the style thus far has focused on techniques to be used while stationary. However, this leads to many problems when fighting alone in situations that demand frequent movement. During this training exercise, the practitioner is to practice all known techniques while running, jumping, and maneuvering across a battlefield. And just like that all their planning fell to pieces. Nari just waltzed up out of nowhere like he wasn't at least half an hour late, traipsing all over every standard of punctuality and decorum. Who was he to be late, but not late enough for their scheming to have paid off? This was completely unacceptable. Bast had few words for a man in his situation, but she tried to channel all of her rage into each syllable.
"Yo. I've been keeping your juniors company. Where are you guys headed?"
It was a simple question, certainly. And sure, it didn't sound like she was particularly angry. To be fair, she also didn't look angry. But the true, underlying problem was that she really wasn't all that upset. She'd have to work on that in the future.
Bast had made a sound point about having the know-how to conjure solid clones. An efficient shadow clone would useful to create a bunch of fake, love sick Nari's to run into each other. Her amusement sunk in the face of the reality that her current skill set withheld knowledge of anything stronger than an illusion. Her attempt to speak failed and she instead shook her head, and consequently her pony-tails, in a vigorous "no" as reply to Bast's clone inquiry.
Then Nari appeared and severed the final hope to spring a fairly marvelous trick. Her shoulders would briefly sink along with a quiet sigh. Disappointed some, but mostly relieved that the wait wasn't going to last all day.
Upon the white-hair instructor's question, Sadayo would reply with a prompt affirmation despite the wavering wonder about what sort of escapade Nari had in mind on the immanent path to attaining a puppet and if her given skill set did allow her to truly be: "ready..." The anticipation was loathsome.

Bast had been hanging around near the group, but stepped away when the keeper of her shop--a girl named Ai--ran up to her with grave news from the exams. It seemed there had been an attack, which meant that inter-village travel was likely to be restricted for a while. She thanked her shopkeep and returned to the group with the bad news.
"I don't know where you all are headed, but I'd stick close to the Village. Sounds like there's been an attack on the Exams, so it's probably for the best to delay any travel plans and stick to training." She sighed heavily. "Man, every time I try to go to Takumi, something happens..."
That’s that, huh? A conflict in the exams was standing in the way of a trip to Takumi. Well, there was still hope. There is a store right here and that means there’s still the opportunity to nab her puppets soon. “Huuh… I’ll invest in a training session then. Be back.” She said aloud with a half-hearted single wave of the hand motion as her ‘farewell’. Maybe see if they want me again in the greenhouse too. Maybe. Sadayo could be seen tilting her head side to side during departure, slowly and purposefully to bounce her pony-tails.

Damien walked through the doors of the Superdome for his eyes to fall into something in the room. He had never seen this many puppets in one room. Puppetry totally eluded him but he thought that it was pretty cool, he walked around looking at the different shinobi tools and puppets. He started to take mental note on things in the room that he wanted; you could call it 'Window Shopping'. He smiled at himself and continued to look around. He adjusted his armor at the neck to give his more range of motion to look around.
Suddenly, something more interesting in the room caught his attention. He felt himself get nervous and he approached this woman that looked like someone he had met before... under very different circumstances " 'Cuse me... " He kept his distance and looked at the woman.

Bast had been squatting next to a rack of recently crafted puppets just outside her shop, testing their various joints for full range of flexibility, when Damien approached her. The boy appeared to be some military-type or perhaps someone engaged in street-fighting, though his bearings suggested the former was more likely. He looked somewhat familiar, but the recent brouhaha over the exams had her preoccupied.
"Sorry, were you looking to buy?" she asked, standing up and patting out the length of her robes. "Afraid the stain is still drying on these. Or the oil's settling, can't remember which."
She turned her gaze on him fully, scanning his face from behind the lenses of her heavily tinted goggles.
"Have we met? You look familiar."

Damien chuckled to himself and turned to her, it seemed like a dream the first time he saw her face; he wasn't honestly sure it was her " Familiar? Is it the scar? " He pointed to the left side of his face, at this particular moment Damien was feeling a bit brave " I cut myself shaving. "
He laughed and reached into his vest " Maybe we've met before actually. " He pulled out a small piece of a torn kimono and placed it on the counter " My dad said that we were hit the a percussive jutsu when I was nine. The shrapnel took my eye and dads arm but I had this in my hand. " He looked at her and smiled " You kinda see where I'm going with this. " Damien had a natural instinct to revert to sarcasm when he was nervous " Are you Miyamoto Bastet? "

"That's some razor you've got there," she quipped with a smirk.
Bast glanced at the piece of fabric he produced. She'd worn many pieces of clothing that featured such a fabric over the years, so she couldn't say for certain it was hers, but the implication seemed to be that she'd saved this kid's life. Nailing down a specific instance when that could have happened was difficult, but judging by the quality and age of the fabric, as well as the boy's age, the incident couldn't have been more than six years ago. She'd probably been out in the countryside, then, she figured.
"I am," she affirmed. "If you're here for revenge or to swear a life debt, I'm going to have to suggest you don't. The former wouldn't go well for you and the latter is unnecessary."

" He started to feel really awkward " This is honestly not how I thought that this was going to go. I'm not here to ask for anything, I'd rather make my way. " His brain started to stammer ' I'm f***ing this all up, get it f**king together '
He started to fiddle with a small string on his vest to help align his thoughts " Look, I'm not here to ask for anything. I just wanted to say that I'd be dead without you... " He placed his thumbs in his vest and looked at her " Just teach me some stuff. I don't like being indebted to anyone and you dont want that... so just be my sensei until chunin then just be my partner. " He didn't think that it sounded absurd, he was already progressing at a decent speed and what was the loss in asking " C'mon, would you rather hang out with the puppets all day? " he looked at the puppets and realized that he was still impressed by them and their workings " I mean, their cool and everything but a real partner is way better. "

It had been a while since Bast had taken a student directly. The prospect was enticing, but she had other things to do; she still needed to go to Takumi, after all, and it was entirely possible that she'd be so busy afterward that teaching would have to take a back seat.
"I suppose that's a simple enough request," she conceded. "What do you need to learn? I need to know how to set up the training regimen so you don't die. Ai! This batch looks good!"
The last bit was directed toward the woman at the shop's counter, who bustled around the counter and rolled the rack of puppets away.

Damien looked at her and smiled " Really? Thats f**kin awesome. " The woman that he believed saved him was now his sensei " This is really great... I'm good at Combat Medical stuff and Ninjutsu, I would like to be able to make my own armor and weapons" He thought about everything that he wanted to tell her so that his new training would be as precise as possible " I want to join the Suna ANBU Police Force, my father was part of a militia in the Wind Country. "
He thought about the stuff that he wanted to learn, but he wanted to make sure that they were tings that Bast could actually teach him " Lets start with some basic training like chakra control and combat. I'm a medical-nin so I'd like to be able to defend myself I guess. " He laughed at himself, he knew that he was just starting to spout out everything that he wanted to work on.

"Can't really help with the medical stuff, but Ninjutsu I can do. Elemental or not? You got a bloodline?" Bast stretched and started walking toward the Shopping Superdome's main entrance. "We're starting now. I'll meet you at the training grounds, but in the meantime I want you to press your fingertips against each other and pass Chakra from one hand to the other through them. I'll join you shortly."
