Mot frowned. He'd been so busy fussing and worrying about Hel picking him that he let his potion get even worse. He gave a sigh.

While not perfect, Mot finally managed to make his potion less rock like in consistency.

Meanwhile, Otto in his golem was mixing and stirring like crazy, making a huge mess and clatter. Well.. apparently boiling water was about as good as he could get at making anything...

But he kept stirring like crazy.

So Otto stopped stirring altogether.

Otto stared at it. And then at everyone else. And then his spoon.

Oh look, I stirred and its splashy again.

Finally, it was complete! In fact, it was perfection.

See? I knew what I was doing.

Clinkity clinkity clink went the stirring rod as Merope mimicked his classmates.

Now that Taima had finally gotten her potion to the ideal temperature, it was time to mix it a little bit more. That was easy enough--now that there was no actual cooking involved--and Taima had no problem stirring it until it reached the perfect consistency.

Professor Z waved a hand, laughing a little. "I think you guys are just about done, so why don't you go ahead and try a spoonful of your potion? If it doesn't work, you'll know immediately, otherwise you should regain at least a small memory fragment."

STAGE FOUR

Well, it looks like your potion is ready to be tested! Unfortunately, there may be a few, er, complications, depending on what sort of ingredients you used...maybe you should have actually read the textbook that's sitting on the desktop...

• Kirinni Bones. Your minipets find you suddenly irresistible and refuse to leave you alone until you play with them...every second of every minute. (lasts 2 IC hours)
  
• Preserved Brown Leaves. You actually remember one memory! Wait...except it's not a real memory, you remember being...a leaf...hanging on a tree... (lasts 2 IC hours)
  
• Frog's Breath. You croak like a frog every few minutes, sort of like hiccups. (lasts 2 IC hours)
  
• Wolfsbane. For some reason, every time you speak, you feel the need to howl after every sentence. (lasts 1 IC hour)
  
• Hair from the tail of a 9-tailed Kitsune. You have the strangest urge to perform live. The world is your stage, and you're going to astound people with your talent (whatever that is). (lasts 2 IC hours)
  
• Hedgie Quills. You're suddenly extremely defensive over everything and everything anyone says is suddenly very offensive. (lasts 1 IC hour)
  
• Bat spleen. Your ears are suddenly very sensitive, picking up even the most minute sounds. (lasts 1 IC hour)
  
• Clay from a (Halloween) Golem. You suddenly have a passion for creativity. Everything is an artistic medium, and you just want to MAKE ALL THE THINGS. (lasts 2 IC hours)
  
• Hound's Tooth. Every canine type student and minipet is suddenly your best friend and you just want to be their friend all the time. (lasts 3 IC hours)
  
• Dragon Scales. You're suddenly very, very shiny. And you have a strange attachment to all things shiny. Better hide any valuables... (lasts 3 IC hours)
  
• Powered Root of a Barg Tree. You feel an urge to go out and commune with nature. (lasts 2 IC hours)

"Do we have to?" Monty let out a small groan and sloshed is mixture around his pot a few more times before finally picking up his spoon and pouring most of the goo off it so there was only a few drops on the end of it. He waited for a minute before he stuck the spoon in his mouth hoping that Professor Z.
was just kidding and he really didn't have to try it, but no such luck so Monty stuck the spoon in his mouth gulped down the goo and waited.
