Lagertha tensed when the woman stepped from the shadows and her grip on her sword tightened. Hearing what she said, her eyes narrowed as she turned towards the newcomer. "And exactly may I ask who you are sweetheart?" she asked lightly as she took a quick glance behind Lucy. She had mentioned the Sanctuary, so maybe she was going in the right direction after all. '..but how did she know about my thoughts..' she thought silently. She had heard of mind readers before, but she had only come across one other in her life and was told that it was a very rare gift. Focusing again on Lucy, she ran her eyes up and down her body as she felt her hunger deepen. She needed to feed soon and not just on food.

((Sorry its a bit late and short. I've been on the road all day! My next post will be longer, I promise! I just wanted to get something up for you guys.))

Lucy
"I'm the High Priestess of the Goddess you prayed to," Lucy stated. "You prayed to the Goddess, asking her to let Sanctuary be real and not a trick. As her High Priestess, it's my job to hear the prayers to her and answer the ones I can. Like yours, for example." She noticed Lagertha looking her up and down and laughed a bit. "From what I can guess, I'd have to say half demon. From the look in your eyes, I'd say a demon that is very hungry. And since you look like that hunger has gotten worse after checking me out, I'd have to guess half succubus." She examined her for a moment and then laughed again. "I suppose we should go with quick introductions. I'm Lucy. Tell me your name and why you're here, and if I like your answers, I'll escort you inside and see about helping you with your hunger. If I don't like your answers...well, you probably don't want to know what would happen to you." Lucy looked like she was calm and relaxed, but she was completely ready to kill this girl if she felt it was necessary.

Dresden
Scavenger of the Wastes

Half in and half out of the shadows, looking for all the purpose like a specter, Dresden was slowly easing himself from his vantage point as he had somehow been found out. With the thought of a potential tussle with an unknown opponent he didn't notice the shifting shadows around him until he heard a sweet, yet authoritve, voice. Twisting about to face the new threat, weapon raising to level with their head, the scavenger came very close to ignoring the being's idle threat and firing anyway. Only the familiar sight of a long, luscious blonde pony-tail wound up staying his trigger finger, and preventing an inter-species catastrophe. Recognizing it Lucy Dresden let his weapon down, though not entirely, he knew her from one of Sanctuary's handful of churches. He had never personally talked to her though he had traded goods with her church before, from what he had seen and heard she was supposedly an okay person. Good or not the human still didn't let himself relax, even after she had left, disappearing in the shadows then reappearing next to the strange figure.

Sagging back onto the broken rocks and trying to get his heart rate back to normal he cast a glance in the direction of Lucy and the other, they were having a conversation apparently. After a minute or so of simply lying in the bones of the old world Dresden was feeling a good deal less wound up but that did not in any uncertain terms mean he had his guard down. Standing up from his hidey hole, silhouetting himself against the horizon, he was contemplating going down and seeing what all the fuss was about. Spending at most a few seconds deliberating the human was going to visit after all, Who knows? Maybe the mysterious figure could become a new customer. Walking unhurriedly over to his pack, again shouldering its ungainly weight in one deft movement, he set off towards the two, picking his way carefully over the rubble.

After a short jaunt Dresden was now standing within half a dozen feet of Lucy and another woman, who for all intents and purposes, appeared human but something felt... off about her. His weapon was still drawn, the muzzle drifting in the general direction of the two, old habits die hard. Rather than join in with the conversation, most of which he had missed, the scaver was opting to remain quiet instead. The most noise he made was the steady sucking sound his gas mask made as he breathed, he didn't mover much either, just the rise and fall of his chest and a slight sway. A reflection of the world in front of him was playing across the glass lens of his mask, at the moment, the distorted images of Lucy and the other woman were filling its small surface.

((I'm so sorry guys! I had computer malfunctions while I was gone. But I'm back now!))

Lagertha's eyes widened as she took another inventory of their surroundings. Her shadow from earlier was slowly and steadily making his way towards them but he was still far enough out that he probably didn't hear Lucy's statement. Looking back at Lucy, she couldn't help but smirk as her hand finally dropped from her weapon and she crossed her arms instead. "Well beautiful, you're right on all accounts. But I don't advertise my heritage very often. In fact, I've never advertised it, so I would appreciate if we could keep this between us?" she asked with a wink. She opened her mouth to say something else, but her former shadow was now close enough to hear their conversation so would just have to track down the priestess later for a more private conversation. She grinned lightly at the thought before meeting Lucy's eyes. "..Lagertha. My name is Lagertha Priestess." she said just loud enough so that the new comer could hear her as well. She didn't want to have to repeat herself later on. "I'm looking for Sanctuary for a little while before.. well.. before my next job." she said with a devious grin before she brought her hand up to block the beam reflecting back into her face. Dropping her flirty grin, she frowned at her former shadow. "I'd be careful where you aim that thing love. A girl takes offense to having a gun pointed at her, even if it is a wonderful looking piece." she said as she looked it over more closely this time.

Lucy listened to what Lagertha said and chuckled. "It'll be our secret," she said before Dresden got too close. "You're in luck today, Lagertha. A friend of mine said he met someone matching your description and sent them in this direction. He even passed along your name so that I could confirm you. Which makes you lucky. If I had doubted your identity, your head and body would have suddenly been separated. And that would have been a real shame."

Lagertha looked back to Lucy with a smirk. "Hm, shame indeed." she said as she kept the man in her peripheral. She waved her hand behind her beautiful hostess and she took a step forward. "Well sweetheart, are you going to show me your place? As you said earlier.. I am in need of...nourishment." said after a moments hesitation. She mentally frowned at how loose her tongue seemed to be. It was like she was just itching to give away all her secrets. She must need to feed worse than she thought.

Lucy simply gave what seemed to be a reassuring smile and then moved one arm a bit, moving a very dangerous-looking scythe into view. There had been shadows covering, hiding it from view, and it suddenly became obvious that she had been completely serious. Judging by the angle she had moved it from, it had been positioned with the blade a short distance from the back of Lagertha's neck. A single quick move was all it would have taken to decapitate her with it. "Like I said, you're lucky, she stated simply as the scythe vanished. She held out a hand for Lagertha to take. "Since you look hungry, I'll give you the quick trip to Sanctuary instead of making you walk the rest of the way. Just take my hand, and I'll personally see to getting you what you need."

The shadows faded from Gypsy as they took her to her room. She looked around for a moment then found her focus locked on the huge bed Morrigan had talked her into. Then had left her alone in it as time and secrets had come between them.

Maybe there was hope for them now. Maybe. Could Ohvan fix what had gone wrong? Could he be the bridge that held the three of them together?

Was it even worth it to her to try? Or had her father been right?

Gods, she hoped not...

She pushed everything back and got into the shower, turning the water on as hot as she could stand it. For the last year she'd only let her proverbial mask down in here, where no one would see it.

It had started with small things as Morrigan chipped away at the walls around her heart. Now the wolf stood in a place no one had touched since Ohvan left.

As she remembered that night, she slid down in the shower and wrapped her arms around her legs, unable to stop the mental nightmare of her own past...

Lagertha looked at the suddenly visible scythe as the corner of her mouth curved up. "Well darling, looks like someone has a fetish for sharp toys too.." she said as she lightly ran her fingers along the back of the scythe before it vanished. Raising an eyebrow at Lucy she slowly put her hand in hers and stepped closer than was polite. "Well lets go then sweetheart." she said as she lightly inhaled Lucy's scent. It was very subtle but very sweet. She shot a glance over at Dresden to see what he was going to do, since his gun was still pointed at them. 'If I was up to full strength I would take that toy away from him before he could blink.' she thought with a frown.

Lucy grinned and then looked over her shoulder at Dresden. "You'll have to make your way back on your own," she called out and then looked back to Lagertha. The shadows began to wrap around them both, and they vanished from sight. They reappeared in the middle of the Sanctuary, and Lucy let go of her hand. "Welcome to Sanctuary, Lagertha. I would offer you a tour, but I think there are other things that you probably want to take care of first."

Dresden
Scavenger of the Wastes

After the two women disappeared Dresden gave a sigh, his shoulders slouching low, his eyes still staring at the spot where they had been standing moments before. Looking up and out to the horizon he began calculating how far he still had to walk until he reached Sanctuary, from where he currently was it'd take a day or so. Taking a deep breath and standing a bit straighter he did a quick once over of his weapon, after that he brought it closer to his chest and set out. He would be alone with his thoughts for a while now, though at least he had something new to think about as he slowly made his way along the dark, silent grave that was the earth. He thought of the strange scythe that Lucy had been able to summon without either him or the other woman, now known as Legertha, even being aware of it. Non-humans were always revealing new tricks and powers that seemed to defy explanation and this unsettled him. How is man to have even a hope against such beasts? was the thought that kept badgering him and he found that he didn't have an answer for it. Banishing this thought from his mind he let himself go, made his mind go quiet and placid, focusing solely on the sound of rock grind under his feet.

Jake
Code name: Shade

Shade stepped out from behind a tapestry, that was hanging in the main hall. Over one shoulder, he carried a very large bag, making him look like some kind of dark Santa Clause. His crimson eyes scanned the room, and even took the second to look out a window, at the courtyard. Where the morning's rays were just starting to creep across.
A lot had changed since he had left, two years ago. Everything was pristine, and professional looking. " Cleaned up nicely." , He thought out loud, to himself. Then he was turning towards the stairs. He could sense the other shadows within the building. After a second he discerned which was Gypsy, he made the necessary adjustments to the path he was taking. Making his way to the appropriate floor, and then down the hall to Gypsy's suites.

Jake came to a stop at her door. His free hand rose from his side, and knocked loudly on the door. Though, no answer came from within. So he waited several more minutes, and then knocked once more. The faintest sounds of a shower running, could just be heard through the door. Deciding that he would be waiting for some time. He opened the door and sat the bag down. The weight of the bag caused a loud thud that most definitely, shook the building a bit. Then he used the Shadows to form a message across the inside of her door. It read,
" Found a woman named, Ilea. Turned her into the RE for a bounty. I have taken my part, The rest is about fourteen-hundred lbs, of gold.
Shade."

Jake opened the bag, and withdrew a hundred pounds worth. Then turned, vanishing into the Shadows making up the message.

Jake
Code name: Shade

Jake was setting on the front porch of his little housing unit, rocking back and forth like an old man. His eyes were unfocused, looking at nothing in particular. His brows met in deep though, while his lips were a hard line. One arm rested on the arm of his chair. The other spent half the time raising a cigarette, mechanically, to his lips.
He had gotten his small side mission, done in record time. having arrived just as the sun was coming up. (Which he was blocking by forming his coat into a large, three walled box around himself and the chair.) So he had decided to take a minute to rest, and collect his thoughts. Lin, would be fine for the time. Neither woman he had left alone together, would be missing him just yet.
Currently he thought of the Lin, and her desire to be marked by him. He knew it meant the world to her, but Jake was unsure if he could make such a promise. In his eyes, she deserved someone that could be there for her. Someone that could share his emotions. Someone who was not drowning in a war, a war that he had been fighting for two life times. Which was the second subject on his mind. Luckily the voice within his head, whom he figured was Kedar Sivan, had chosen to leave him alone to his own thoughts.
Jake, did not wish to harm Lin anymore than he already had. So, the question was. How would he approach this subject with her. Were they breaking up? Or, did he just need to focus on work for now? These thoughts continued to plague him. Along with thoughts on the problems in the world. He needed to recruite more for his Leader, He also had to collect more souls for the Goddess. Then there was the threat of the one knows as, Gurzil. The thing that he found the most overwhelming, was that he was dealing with all this, and he still didn't have a complete hold over himself. Being a vampiric Grim Reaper was not something in the norm, of course he was living in a world. That the last one would have classified as Science-fiction.

Morrigan
Morrigan anf Ohvan appeared in the Sanctuary, not far from Gypsy's room. She released his hand and stepped back. "Here we are," she said, offering him a small smile. "If you'd like, I can have a servant find you a room. Or you can wait for either Gypsy or I to do it after we get cleaned up. You could also take a shower as well, if you want." As she waited for his answer, she shivered a bit. She didn't mind being naked. It wasn't exacty unusual, since her werewolf side was still dominant over her vampiric side. But she still got cold with only the jacket to cover her.

Ohvan quietly folded his arms over his chest as they entered the Sanctuary, his jacket slowly fading from of Morrigan and returning to shroud him. It was cold in here, and his frown depend a little as something strange twinges inside him. It was a dark feeling, and he couldn't help but fee an overwhelming sadness take him. He looked over to Morrigan with a concerned gaze. "I think something is wrong with Gypsy. Where is she? She is near, but I can't precisely locate her." he looked slightly alarmed, yet he did his best to remain calm as his eyes began to dart around and look for where the feelings could be coming from.
