Rathke had to smile a bit at this. Here he'd been thinking getting Kei to master her abilities was going to be hard, simply because all the other Knights had died.
And now Nektaro was telling them that it had been a tactical lie, just to give the opposing king the wrong information, despite still being chased by said king.
He glanced over at where Kei sat, and Aniis next to her. The latter looked a little tired despite having just fed. It was probably like that with vampires when dawn was so close; he wouldn't know, really.
Meanwhile, Kei had bit her lip, contemplating this revelation and what the redhead was suggesting they do now. True, she needed time to master her powers - where had they come from? - and if she started as soon as possible, the better for her and her friends when the vampire king decided to attack again.
"So...some of them are still alive..." she muttered, half to herself.
Finally she glanced up, a forced smile on her face. "If I'm going to start training...we should head off now; dawn's coming, and it wouldn't do to be caught out in the open when the sun comes up."

Character Name: Lasair (Laz for short)
Age: 15
Race: Wolf demon
Appearance: Laz has reddish brown hair, and coppery-brown eyes. She is 5'5 and weighs around 117 lbs. She has lightly tanned skin, and an athletic build. 
Personality: Laz is one of the best when it comes to pulling pranks, but she also knows when to act serious. She's smart, feisty, sometimes sarcastic, and has a bit of a short temper. She's stubborn, and a smartass at times, but knows when to behave.
Bio: Her parents were killed, and she and her twin brother were taken in by their godfather, Olcawn. They escaped from Olcawn, who was trying to kill them to get their family's fortune. They ran, fighting only when neccesary. Finally one day they came across a small tavern and the peoplethere were willing to help her and her brother take Olcawn down. (see [ Poll ] Hidden Mist Tavern ((open and hiring) Marry Christmas! ) for details) They defeated Olcawn with the help of their newfound friends, and rescued the other captives who were still alive.
Special Weapons or Powers: Laz prefers to use her two katanas and daggers when fighting, rather than her demon form. She has the powers of Teleportation, Telepathy, and Telekinesis, and is able to move very quickly when neccesary.
Character Name: Lasren (Ren for short)
Age: 15
Race: wolf demon
Appearance: Ren has brown/black hair, and coppery-brown eyes. He is 5'7 and weighs around 129 lbs. He has lightly tanned skin, and a slightly muscular build. 
Personality:Ren is a lot like his sister, a prankster who knows when to act seriously, a troublemaker who knows when to behave himself. He's really sarcastic, kinda smart, and more stubborn than Laz. He's a smartass as well, but has a bit more control over his temper than Laz.

Special Weapons or Powers: He uses two katanas,when fighting, although he prefers to use his demon form (looks like sesshomaru when he's transformed, except brown fur). He's pretty good with a bow and arrows too. He has the same powers as his sister, and can also see exactly where things are when his eyes are closed, except for Laz when she hits or kicks him.

Kei blanched. How many abilities did she have to master, anyway?
"Nektaro..." she began uncertainly, "how long do you think I have to master all these...abilities?" While she was willing to help, learning and using all these skills seemed a pretty daunting task. And she wasn't sure if she was up for that. |
