I have also learned a modicum of Sensory techniques. With all this in mind, I believe scouting missions, or medical missions would be suitable." He said. The ninjutsu he learned was more supplemental and defensive than offensive.

Amarantha nodded politely, if aloofly, to those she recognized or who greeted her in turn as she made her way through the halls of the building. The Hokage's office door was open, inviting those who would seek an audience with the Acting Hokage, and Amarantha decided to heed the call. Especially since she was there to request a mission or direction where she could be of the most benefit to the village. "Excuse me? I came to request a mission, if there is one to be had." She said, voice far more confidant than the question would belie. She stood in the room, body seemingly relaxed, but she was aware of the open door, the windows behind the Hokage's desk, the very air moving through the room. She was not experienced, but she had had these things drilled into her from a young age by her over zealous mother. One arm was down by her side, hand tucked into the belt that hung on her hips, while the other hand was resting on the hilt of her rapier. Her body language would show anyone looking at her that she was at ease. But her eyes would indicate that she was ready to report, and ready to adhere to and carry out any orders given to her.

Yugure tensed up and bit his lip, but said nothing at the words. He gave a nod, and a polite bow to the Hokage before turning, walking out of the office past his cousin. He didn't greet her, nor say any of his usual flirtatious things, indicating just what an impact his scolding put his mind state into. [Exit to Academy]

Amarantha's eyes narrowed slightly, though only enough for those who truly knew her to recognize, "I came to request a mission, as I stated. I have learned all the jutsu of my clan, and my individual elements, that I can up to my current training level, as well as several jutsu that will effect the hearing and sight of the target. I have also learned most of the rapier style bukijutsu known as Sen Gekiretsu Nagareboshi. I requested time to be allowed to learn some skills before returning to you to request a mission that would test those skills. I have returned as I said I would. If there are any missions in mind that you think would benefit from me fulfilling them, I would be pleased to hear them, otherwise I will simply take my leave and look to see if there is any way I can assist the village on my own." She was no child to be intimidated, acting Hokage or not. She had told Shi what she intended to do upon receiving her headband, and Amarantha had adhered exactly to what she said she would do. If he wanted to play a mind game to see if she would crack, she would not. She would succeed, or she would die trying.
With that thought in mind, however, she had not missed the fact that he cousin had completely ignored her upon his exit. That was highly suspect seeing as he never missed an opportunity to flirt with her. The only times that she could recall Yugure ever being like this was when he had been scolded by someone other than Amarantha herself. Meaning Shi had probably scolded Yugure for something. Possibly something to do with Yugure's laid back nature. It was something Ama's own mother had often complained about when Yugure wasn't within ear shot.
Ama stared at Shi, not letting anything of her thoughts show on her face, she was as impassive and unreadable as the ice under her command. Her mother had taught her well, even before entering the academy originally, and her mother had continued to teach her after her father had fallen ill. Someone with unblinking dark eyes would not intimidate her, but he was welcome to try. Her mother was far more terrifying in her cold fury.

"Good." Shi speaks, voice flat. His attention returns to his desk, cloth-covered fingers shifted through the paperwork, knowing exactly what he was looking for and where. And he pulled out a slip of paper almost as quickly as he had begun his search. "But you should stay wise in not offering your services outside of the mission board too frequently." He speaks as he holds up the piece of paper for him to read, eyes and tone giving away nothing. "Scouting mission. You will meet at the gate with a Chuunin and two other Genin first thing in the morning." Apparently finding something on the document, he puts it down but does not pause in his speaking. "Yugure Shinsetsu has been sent to alert your other team-mate; Hiraite, Soraru. A Genin of Kumogakure." Picking up a pen, Shi writes down a small line underneath where Yugure's name was neatly printed on the document. "You should only be outside of the village for no greater than two days. An uneventful perimeter check should have you back within the village by the middle of the night." Without breaking his stride, he stamps the document and inputs a concise signature in the middle of it. Rolling up the slip of paper, he holds it out to Amarantha. "Dismissed."

Amarantha took the slip without preamble and nodded before she bowed slightly to Shi in a show of respect, "Thank you, I will keep that in mind." She could recognize that Shi was not a fan of small talk, a fact which Amarantha appreciated more than anyone really knew, so she wouldn't wear out her welcome by saying more than what she had. And it seemed like she would be put in a team with her cousin and some shinobi from Kumo. Interesting. Amarantha straightened out of her bow and turned on the ball of her foot, then left the office. She could recognize an easy dismissal when she heard it, especially when it was so clearly stated. Let it not be said that Shi was not direct and to the point. Amarantha appreciated it quite a bit.

"Hokage-sama...! Urk!" The doors to the Hokage's office were always left ajar, inviting in guests and queries. But the harried office worker who rushed in was able to do so with enough force to send the doors widely swinging, slamming against the walls with a flinch-worthy crunch. Shi sighs from behind the desk. From quite low, behind the desk, only the top of his head really visible over the heavy piece of furniture.
"Let me guess;" An unamused child speaks. "People are turning into children."

"Shi~!" The call echoed through the hallways as Severin made his way to the hokage's office, still holding Hono over his shoulder. It was only when they reached the door did he put him down, ruffling his hair softly before opening the door to discover... a very grumpy and tiny hokage. Several slow blinks were made in to the silence before a snort escaped Sev's nose, followed by him snapping his hand over his mouth to try and hold back the laughter bubbling up in to his chest.
"Lord Hokage in Miniature... adorable.." He mumbled behind his hand in an amused tone, his eyes and pulling of his cheeks betraying the smirk he was trying to hide.
Honō remained pliant, draped over the medic's shoulder like a plush white rug. Once settled back on his feet, the Hokori swayed for a second, finding his balance and breathing in to stretch out the muscles and tendons that had been hunched over into themselves for a bit too long. Moss-green eyes landed on the Lord Hokage and he bowed immediately. He felt his ears burn hearing Severin's almost unbridled glee at Shi's new appearance. "Lord Hokage." Honō greeted politely but otherwise remained silent. Not only had he not been addressed but he held no qualifications for even guessing the situation at hand. So he would defer to Severin, the more qualified of the pair. The fact the medic had chosen to fire-man carry the Hari clan member was also still a source of disquiet in his mind.

装 : Thigh-length, white, cotton haori has its sleeve cuffs edged in a blue strip of cotton. The hakama is cotton as well, with a gradient dye, going, top-down, white to a matching blue. The string ties, or 'himo,' are strands of glass beads, clear in colour and translucent. A matching necklace of these beads is worn around the neck. Underneath the haori, held up by a belt disguised under the tie of the hakama, are several pouches and a blade that, in any normal person's hand, would be would be described as a short sword. The hilt was clearly carved by hand, made of bone, yellowed with age. The blade bore jagged edges on the backside ( a boning edge ) while the other was razor sharp, curved wickedly at the end to act as a gutter. Stamped in the centre of the blade was a bear's paw surrounded in strangely shaped leaves. Traditional tabi, are also worn, marking this individual more of a civilian than a Kumogakure shinobi.

"I can hear what you're thinking, Medic." Shi's small voice calls out from behind the desk, the higher pitch and sour mood making him sound more petulant than perturbed. "There a reason why you're carrying a Kumo shinobi around like a rag-doll?" The Hokage stand-in was having to sit ram-rod straight in order to look over the desk, olive-green eyes still looking big despite the narrowed gaze. He nods at the Hokori's greeting but otherwise gets to the matter at hand. "Situation?"

Shikatsu started his climb up the oh so familiar stairs leading to the Hokage's office. This wasn't anything new to him, but it had been quite some time since he was here. Thinking back to when his best friend called this office his brought up some interesting memories and the feelings that came with it. He wondered what the current Hokage would think of his return after being gone for so long. Well, only one way to find out he thought as he approached the door and gave it a knock.

After somehow escaping the terrifying event of having been forcibly regressed into a child-like state physically, it was with great relief that Shi was subtly stretching his legs out in the enclosed safety of underneath the desk. He had asked Severin to check in on the civilians living in a particular district to make sure no permanent damage was done, and the Hokori boy to to do the same but with the shinobi of Kumogakure. He was just leaning back in his chair, breathing a little easier, when he heard a knock on the door.
"Enter" He called, though the door was already part-way open.

Shikatsu entered and looked around the office. He was in his normal attire consisting of his altered Anbu uniform with mask. "Lord Hokage, the previous mission I was assigned to has been completed and the perimeter search was uneventful. Is there anything you require me for sir?" He asked as he stood in the center of the large room. He wasn't always so to the pint as this, but he tried to do things a little closer to the vest now.
