Yeaaa! They got to graduate early! Both the child and puppy had started run towards the building. "Momma and Daddy would be so happy!" The girl squealed. She got to graduate early. Despite being only six, she was smart and rather intuitive for her age. Not to mention observant. One wonders if it was because the right combination of her parents or was it because she was an Inuzuka? After all, their senses and dog-like feelings had helped the Inuzuka clan to steer away from the bad. Once they approached the building, Chihiro couldn't contain her excitement as her mouth was getting rather sore from all the smiling. "Come on, Botamochi!" She shouted after her dog as it replied with few barks. Stepped over, she pushed the door to make her way in until- "Barf! Barf!" The puppy called out as Chihiro immediately responded. No way she was going to ever ignore her friend! It was then that she saw Boatmochi couldn't get over the step and was rather stuck. He was trying, however, thick paws scratching and struggling as he attempted to push himself with his upper arms. In no time at all, the young girl was right there with her partner as she squatted down and slid her fingers underneath his upper arm. "Commmmeee oooonnn" She strained as she pulled while the puppy was trying to get up at the same time. He weights more than her so it was a bit of a struggle but they made it!
Giggling as her butt landed on the ground and the clumsy pup managed to get up as he licked her arm. "Come on!" She said as both of them were now walking to find the Hokage's office. She remembered her manners so she will make sure to actually show manners. Though, sometimes she forgets. Chihiro saw the door open as she shouted in triumph. "We are here! We are the early grad- OOOOH SORRY!" She saw that the Hokage was busy with someone else. "I'll stay riiiiiighhhhtt here!" She said with a smile. "Right, Botamochi?" She questioned her canine friend but then gasped when he wasn't right by her! WHERE WAS HE!? Frantic, she looked around and heard slurping noises. "E-eh?" She muttered as she could see his fat fluffy butt underneath the desk. OH NO. "NOOOOO BOTAMOCHI! YOU DON'T CHEW THE HOKAGE SHOOOOEEESSS!" Chihiro wailed as she ran over to underneath the desk as well and attempted to pull the gnawing Botamochi.

Those without keen observation skills would think that the Acting Hokage had not reacted at all to Shikatsu's grand reveal. In fact, the colour of Shi's iris' appeared to darken, just slightly, due to the most minute tightening of the skin around his eyes, pupils dilating as details were examined and taken in. "Welcome back." He greeted, voice even, cool. But the calm and quiet ended soon after as a serious of loud footsteps and a cheery voice began bouncing up the hallway and into the office proper.
Shi blinked, watching the genin and pup bounce into the doorway - only for the young Inuzuka to realise he was already preoccupied and tried to make a retreat. He didn't react beyond his eyes tracking the movement of her canine companion who had not been deterred by the presence of someone other than the Acting Hokage being in the room. Shi tilted his head, pupils jumping from the dog to instead peer down, underneath the desk, where a chubby, fluffy head and squeezed into, maw open and tongue lapping out for Shi's feet. With the grace of overly practised evasion tactics, Shi rolled his hips to the side, swinging his legs up to plant his feet on the safety of the sturdy desk. In apology, the Konoha-nin lent a gloved hand down. "Nice to meet you too." He speaks, his voice sounding indifferent but his actions relaxed and calm. He nodded to the Genin who had now also appeared underneath the wooden piece of furniture. "Botamochi, is it. Fitting."
Briefly pulling his attention away from the shenanigans happening on the floor, Shi looked up to address the Nara once more. "As you can see, we have a string of new graduates from the academy. As well as shinobi from the other villages. I think they're going a bit 'stir crazy' from being cooped inside the village with only construction work and miner missions available." The Acting Hokage explains. Anyone who didn't know any better would think he sounded disinterested. "Organise something. A meet. A competition. The hotsprings have offered free use for a day for repairs." He suggested to the Nara before focusing back onto the pair huddled below him. "Suggestions from you, young miss?"

Normally he would have intervened but this wasn't a threat to anyone, except maybe Shi's shoes. He watched as Shi quickly removed them from the equation however and continued on with his conversation. "Something at the hot springs eh?" Shikatsu gave it some thought and soon enough had an idea. "Maybe something fun yet challenging, that's training and relaxing, that can be done by any of the shinobi here..." He pondered for a second more, his eyes closed but visibly darting back and forth as the idea spun around in his head. "Yes.. Yes, that should work quite nicely." He opened his eyes once more and looked up at Shi. " How does a sports festival sound? It would give everyone a reason to gather, offer both training and relaxation, and let them show off their abilities as well as let the younger generation see what they can be capable of." He paused there for a moment to let the Hokage weigh in on the ideas presented before him. "All we'd need is a theme..."

The moment Shi had removed his target, an audible *whines* could be heard. But then a thump thump of the tail against the floor as Shi went ahead and petted him. *Arf!* he exclaims happily but then just played dead as Chihiro was doing all she can to get that big ol' puppy from under the desk. While the adults talk, "Mrrrfff!" the young Inuzuka strained as she did all she can to pull the heavy fluffy pup away. Finally! Her arms were crossed with poor Botamochi in between. He was now standing on his hind legs as she was holding him rather tightly, his poor neck and underarms had fallen victim to this tamer's grip. He wasn't in pain no, just more uncomfortable than anything. "You stop that! We are supposed to behaaavveee! What's daddy and momma gonna say about this?!" She whispered to Botamochi. Who only responded by opening his maw and gave Chihiro an under-chin lick.
"Aw. I can't stay mad at you!" Smiling, she nuzzled her face into Botamochi's face. But then she paused as the adults had turned their attention on her. "Uh-Eh-Uhhhh..." Quickly, her small brain started to work as she tried to remember what they were talking about before.. oh! A party. "A party!" She smiled, as she stood upright but had not released her grip. Poor Botamochi was still on his hindlegs and barely can see due to the grip. Despite all that, his tail was still wagging. "Sports? EW!" She started. All they did was training! She even remembers momma and daddy loves to relax. But then again, they always do gymnastics in their bedroom! "OOH! WATER SPORTS! Water balloons!" In her excitement, she had let go of Botamochi who had landed onto the floor with a thud. "Water skiing! To cool off after the hard work! Maybe momma and daddy can finally show their gymnastics skills! They said it was their private gymnastics lesson in the bedroom, it's so unfair!" Meanwhile, the fluffy pup had found a new target, he went to try chew on Shikatsu's shoes.

A calm, monotonous trill sounded in Shi's throat but he deliberately switched his attention to the Nara, away from the young girl at the mention of her parent's... gymnastics. "I'll leave the details to you. Any expenditure will need to be approved by me first, so come back after you've worked out the details." As he was speaking, his hands had reached out to begin shuffling through a pile of slim dossiers, each with a small, square Polaroid of a person's face. Eventually, one was revealed that had a matching face as the the Inuzuka currently crouched under the Hokage's desk.
"Miss Chihiro Inuzuka." He read the name out loud, confirming her status as a graduate before retrieving a freshly minted headband from a box set just by his side. "Graduated quite early." Previously, this was where Shi would ask what training and career path the Genin was most interested in. This time, however... "Why don't you assist the young gentleman here?" He motions to Shikatsu. "I'm sure he can find something to your tastes in activities. Get you some experience in new areas as well." With his level tone and the mask covering his face, it was hard to tell if he was anything beyond indifferent. But his open posture was hopefully picked up on by both inu and Inuzuka because showing emotions is something he's rather rusty on.

Shikatsu listened to Shi and the young girl as the current conversation now included her. During this time he noticed that the pup was now free and started to make its way towards him. The last thing he needed right now was to be this dog's chew toy. In an instant his eyes turned towards the dog as he quickly shot a menacing glare to the pup, letting it know not to come any closer if it wanted to be safe. Tuning back into the conversation at hand, he did his best to ignore the girls talk on her parents 'gymnastics' but honed in once the Hokage had placed this girl as his helper. "You really want me working with her sir?" He asked with a hint of annoyance in his voice. He had nothing against the girl personally, not yet anyways, but his past experiences with young children were not good ones.

Botamochi got the 'vibe' and slowly backed away as he whined softly. Tail tucked in between his legs. *whimpers* That did not go unnoticed by his best friend. "HEY!" Chihiro shouted pretty aggressively at the stranger, "He's just a pup! Like me! You could've just said no ya old big orange meanie!" Her cheeks were flushed with anger as her tiny hands balled up into a fist. She walked up towards the backing away Botamochi as she then sat down and pulled him into a hug as she held him there while the adults talked for a bit. "It's okay! We'll play later!" She started to smother him with kisses. On the forehead, on the snout, on his jowls, everywhere. It was like watching a mother doing this to her newborn baby. Just shower them with kisses.
Her head perked up at hearing her name. "Here sir! And Botamochi too!" *Arf arf!* As Botamochi sat up in full attention, Chihiro herself stood up. Once he brought up the early graduate, she grained from ear to ear to only revealing her tattletale canines of the Inuzuka clan, "Yea! We worked real hard!" Then her jaw dropped when he had mentioned that she was going to help the gentleman that was a bit of a meanie to her friend as she crossed her arms and slightly pouted as her lower lip curled down. It seemed that the meanie didn't want to work with them either, "If the Hokage says so then he says so as mommy and daddy said!" She said with her arms crossed. She didn't like this either but to disrespect? Nah. Even the pup mustered some courage to do a little *grr* on him. "We together! Like it or not! So what first?" Chihiro was a bit of stubborn and hard-headed girl as her arms remained cross and Botamochi was behind Chihiro's knees but there was no fear in this girl's forest green eyes.
