spaceAnother twinge, except this one wasn't a twinge. It hurt too much to call it that. Whit missed the snitch, dropped in altitude a few feet, and lost track of the damn thing to boot. He grit his teeth, hissing through the pain and shooting back up to try and spot it again.

Philip arrived at the pitch, ready to play. He was the first player to arrive from his team, and it looked as though Charley was the first to arrive from hers. The two knew each other, being classmates and all, so he figured he'd greet her. "Hey, good luck today," he said. Although he was friendly with her now, in the air, they were direct opponents and neither one would go easy on the other. But it was still fun.

Maisie hurried out onto the field, flushing pink at the sight that Charley had made it there before her. She should really be more punctual, especially since she was team captain, a prefect, and seventh year. She'd been dreading this game all week, although she knew she should be excited, or at least feel prepared. But their keeper and one of their chasers were both very young, and although Hufflepuff had an inexperienced seeker, she couldn't just bet on them being terrible.
