"Get in the corner," Gerash commands the kobold as he backs away from the oncoming noise. He didn't care how likely the kobold's former master was to cooperate, he planned on killing it anyway. Kobolds may be stupid little creatures, but they usually respected power, and the necromancer liked the idea of having his own loyal minions. Besides, he would need somewhere to keep his phylactery once he became a lich. One always had to plan ahead.

((don't worry joe, i've got you covered with a 4 for init. clearly Gerash talks too much and readies for battle too little. he does move to be 10 squares south from the opening of the northern corridor, or just as far as he can.))

Hars stands and readies her blades, letting her guise fall to her natural blank pale gray skin. The kobolds seem almost refreshing after mace-in-the-face.

((O.K. Bit confusing: WP = Wyrmpriest, C = Cleaver, L = Slinger, K = Skirmisher, not all enemies are on the map yet, they are further north down the corridor))

As the kobolds swarm into the room, all of you, bar Cain, do your best to take up ready positions. The creatures are yapping in their draconic language, and they seem ready to tear your skin off. There are six of them wielding duel short swords, although they all look like they would go down easy. Four of them are clasping short spears, and are ready to poke you with them. Another four of them are already swinging a sling around thier heads, just waiting for a chance to pop a bullet at your temple. They all wear crummy rags, and they stink, bad. The one that stands out most is one near the back. He is holding a spear, but is also wearing an iron coloured headress and has acid dripping from his tongue as he lips his scaly lips.

Daelos opens up the fight by flinging a dagger at one of the duel wielding buggers standing in front of the Wyrmpriest. His dagger 'thocks' into the kobolds chest, slaying him instantly. Finally happy that he killed something, Daelos draws another blade and flicks it between his hands, eyeing up a new target.

Hars, go!

Hars whirls her blades sinking them both into the pair of kobolds before her, trying to lock them in place, shifty bastards that they were.

((Dual Strike @30 vs K1, 7 damage, @CRIT vs K2, 15 damage, both are marked.))

Hars takes a step closer to Grashuk, helping to cover his flank while he does the same for the changeling.((Shift to D5))

8 - Cain: 45/50hp, prone
7 - Pelloth: 39/44hp
4 - Gerash: 37/39hp

With her quick reflexes, Hars manages to get two good hits in before the kobolds could react, one even becomes bloodied by her cuts. She then marks the beasties for good measure, don't want them running now do we?

The kobold Wyrmpriest seems totally unfazed at one of his brethren falling as he sticks his spear in the air and shouts a draconic command. All of the kobolds shift around the battlefield and prepare themselves for the task of taking you down. He then conjures a ball of acid into his scarred hand, which he flings across the heads of Hars and Grashuk and towards Gerash. The wizard neatly sidesteps the projectile and the acid pitifully splashes on the ground, hisses as it does.

The kobolds with the twin short swords then attack. Their style is very dangerous...to themselves mostly. They spin their whole bodies around and carelessly swipe their weapons at the enemy (that's you!). One of them spins at the sitting down Cain, who still hasn't quite realised kobolds have entered the room. His moping causes him to take 5 damage of slicy-ness. One of the other...minions, steps next to Grashuk attacks the Bugbear. But the Warlord's shield deflects any short swords that come his way. Two more of the little buggers run off and flank Pelloth before the drow has a chance to do anything. The Warlock dodges a few swipes, but one gets through dealing 5 damage. The final minion comes charging through his allies from the back, to attack Grashuk, and succeeds dealing 5 points of damage to the Bugbear.

The Slingers then all work in unison to try and take down Grashuk. The one behind the Wyrmpriest flings a normal bullet, and the three closer to you load their slings with some sort of 'special' bullets. Well, one special bullet goes flying way past your head, the stinky bullet is blocked by your shield, unfortunately the firepot bullet strikes you temple for a CRIT! 9 damage and ongoing 2 fire. But by far the 'best' shot was from the kobold behind the Wyrmpriest. (crit miss) His bullet flew with power, but no accuracy, and instead of hitting Grashuk, it smashed into the back of the head of one of the kobolds flanking Pelloth, killing him instantly! Oops.

The final group of kobolds are the skirmishes, with their spears. Only one of them needs to move, and as he shifts round behind Grashuk, they all now have flanking. Two attack the Bugbear, and Grashuk knows that was he not being mobbed by so many kobolds, he would have been fine, but with their Mob Attack, the kobold skirmishers get two solid strikes past Grashuk's armour! Although the attacks were weak and together only deal 10 damage, although that is enough to bloody your leader! The other two spear wielding skirmishers try to Mob Attack Hars, who is just about nimble enough to avoid both attacks, bending, jumping and ducking a split second before each strike. ((I rolled 2 20's against your AC of 21 ^^))

Well, the kobolds didn't do too badly I thought! Grashuk, Cain, Pelloth and Gerash, go kill some kobolds!

Gerash narrows his eyes as he looks at the hissing puddle of acid the wyrmpriest threw at him. "My name is Gerash Saleigh," he said glaring daggers at the wyrmpriest, "If you drop your weapons and pledge your loyalty to me, you may get out of this alive. Otherwise, we will kill you all. Very quickly."

((this is mostly a warning to grashuk since he just got gangbanged: i'm going to freezing cloud on my turn, so you might want to take a step or two back.))

Stepping away from the kobold that attacked him, Pelloth cursed the creature before ravaging it's mind.

Snarling at the waist-height lizards, Grashuk took his chance and quickly dodged between a pair of them to get out of the horrible situation he was in. Dancing between them wasn't enough for the bugbear, who swung at one of the still-nearby foes.

However, multi-tasking apparently wasn't the warlord's best activity as the blade sailed over the little bugger's head. Growling once more, he shouted at the wizard: "Don't give them a chance to surrender! Blow the little bastards to hell and back!"

Cain was interrupted from his meditation via a sharp poke in his back. Were they leaving? Standing up, he turned round to see a Kobold staring him in the eyes.

"What the ******** are you doing here?" He asked back in the Kobold's language as he took out his sword. Before giving it a chance to answer however, he stabbed the little lizard in it's scaly chest.

"Why are there a s**t load of Kobold's here?" Cain squawked irately towards his team mates.

"That depends Cain, if they throw down their weapons and beg for mercy it's because they're going to show us around these tunnels. Otherwise they're all going to die and it doesn't really matter why they're here." To Illustrate his point Gerash held his glowing orb up high overhead. A fog formed amidst the kobolds, and grew thicker and thicker. As it did, the air around them grew colder and colder to a painful degree.

((Freezing cloud. 18 vs WP, 19 vs L3, 26 vs C1 if he's still there, 24 vs L2, 12 vs. L1, 25 vs C3, 24 vs C6, 9 vs K1, 17 vs Hars, 24 vs K2, 24 vs K4. Grashuk got well and truly ******** at the beginning of the fight there. Showing his teeth to the beasts, he took a step to the left and swung his sword at one of the kobolds. The little bugger ducked just in time to miss the swipe; annoyed at his failure, Grashuk shouted instructions to his team to inspire himself. (need a save)

Ow, what was that? Thought Cain. As he stood up he was greeted by an ugly litte scaly kobold. Curious, Cain asked a question before 'thocking' his sword right into the reptiles chest. The kobold went to answer, but could only spill blood out of his slack-jawed mouth as he fell to the ground, a great hole in his puny chest.

Pelloth took a step back over the corpse of the brain kobold before laying his curse on the other kobold that attacked him. With a quick thrust of his rod, the strength of his attack on the kobolds weak mind caused the creature to scream in agony and his little head to pop, sending brain and blood onto the walls behind him and the ground around his now lifeless body.

Reasuring his feathery ally, Gerash summoned his awesome power and channelled it into his Orb. Concentrating, the wizard conjured a huge cloud of freezing fog. The kobolds looked confused as the cloud appeared, but confusion soon turned to horror as their skin was frozen solid. Only one kobold managed to resist the coldness, one kobold and a very pissed off Hars; Gerash's control of his spells was just enough to save the changeling...for now. The other kobolds screamed in pain, two died instantly, and the other were suitably hurt, although the wyrmpriests granted temporary vitatilty managed to stave off some of the effects. Shouting through chattering teeth, the wyrmpriest said in draconic, "Do not flee! Our master's offspring comes to our aid!" ((Nice attack!))

As Gerash's cloud of freezing fog descends on the kobolds, Daelos says, "I like your ruthlessness wizard." Obviously referring to including Hars in the attack. He took a step back and flung another dagger into the fray, but this one hit against the wall without effect; Daelos drew another blade.

Hars may go! And the more perceptive of you; Cain and Gerash, hear snarling and the sound of charging feet coming up the western corridor.
