Nyamuragira not only resembles a volcano by looks but also in the way that she acts. Lava constantly drips from her body, increasing or decreasing in volume based upon her current mood. She can go long periods being quiet, relatively pleasant to be around, yet under the surface there is a heated anger that threatens to break free at the smallest disturbance. Once that anger reaches the surface Nyamuragira is a dangerous thing to be around as her actions can be as violent and unpredictable as a volcano itself. Not only does her body heat intensify greatly when she in angered but she also produces more lava, which falls off of her body leaving bits of destruction along her path. Though it can take a while for her to cool off after letting her anger break through Nyamuragira is also one you don't want to cross on multiple times as she will make it her life's work to destroy anyone who pushes her too far.
One thing Nyamuragira dislikes at all times is lush plant life. After spending much of her time in the desert seeing green everyone grates on her nerves. As such it is a wonder why she stays in the new lands, only time will tell what her true reasons are.

Not much is known about Nyamuragira's past. Whether it is because she refuses to talk about it or because simply not much of importance has happened is yet unknown. She grew up in the desert along side other Ulun'Suti and their enemy, at the time, the Hippogryphs. How active she was in the fighting between the breeds is unknown. It seemed that she supported her own kind in their fight against the Hippogryphs yet there is no evidence that she ever participated directly in the fighting. In fact many of her kind seem to know very little about her other than her name, description and general thoughts about the mare.
When the events that led to many of the Ulun'Suti and Hippogryphs calling an end to the fighting and moving to new lands came about Nyamuragira was nowhere to be seen. In truth she was glad to see them go. It would mean more land to herself and fewer intruders on her life. So she silently bid them farewell from hidden spot and looked forward to a life alone. Yet that idea was quickly shattered. Some of the others who remained behind found out about Nyamuragira's location and began seeking her help in maintaining things. She however wanted nothing to do with this and chased them off. But they were persistent and kept returning no matter how many times she relocated, they always found her thanks to her obvious trail of small lava pools pointing them from one hiding spot to the next. Eventually it became more than she could take and Nyamuragira took her anger out on the intruders. Many fled her wrath, a few were not lucky enough to escape but in the end she knew that her time in the desert was done.
Anger still to the boiling point Nyamuragira began the long trek away from the only home she knew towards the unknown, leaving a thick trail of lava behind her. She almost hoped those fools would follow her so that she could finish what was started earlier. The journey turned out to be quite uneventful and it did not take long for her to come to the new lands. They disgusted her instantly. So much greenery, far too many others about and definitely way too much water for her liking. She could have returned to the desert right then and there but instead she journeyed to the mountains instead.
Though the view from her new mountainside dwelling was less than appealing to her it was close enough to the desert that she felt more at home.

Nyiragongo is a perfect match for Nyamuragira. They are both violent creatures when provoked but also have a calm side that often tricks others into believing they are safe in their presence. Though he prefers solitude, he does accept Nyamuragira's presence as she tends to leave him alone unless needed, though should another stumble across him they will see his anger flair quickly. He is most at home in either the mountain caves or the desert.

Desert Kin - Since most of her life has been spend in the desert Nyamuragira needs some interaction with other desert dwelling Soquili, be it more Ulun'Suti, Hippogryphs or any others who live in the desert.
The Long Journey - Nyamuragira has made the decision to leave her desert home to avoid those of her own kind who are pestering her into becoming an active member of the herd. She needs to run into a few Soquili along the way, both in the desert and in the new lands, to help her wonder if this was such a great idea.
New Lands - Having made it to the new lands Nyamuragira is extremely disgusted and disappointed. She really hates greenery and is questioning her decision to come here. It's time she found out just what these lands hold and if it's worth staying.
Mountain of My Own - After discovering some about the new lands Nyamuragira decides the best place to live is the mountains, where it is nice and far from the lush forests and meadows. But even this spot isn't perfect as there are other Soquili who live in the mountains. She will have some run-ins with these Soquili that can be either pleasant or unpleasant as she tries to find a spot to call her own.
The Problem With Neighbors - Finally the perfect mountainside home is found...or so she thoughts. Turns out there is another Soquili in the area that is close enough to cause her problems yet far enough away that she might be able to ignore them. Yet that neighbor does seem to want to cause trouble, be it with Nyamuragira as their partner or their victim.
