-----σn my way out of the Lightning Country, something caught my attention. If I remembered right, this was were the mortars had been fired from during the attack on Kumogakure sometime ago. The UHV had launched some sort of explosions that destroyed half of the village, and took many lives... including Kazumi and Viktor's. As much as it still made me angry, it was something I had moved on from. But what caught my attention here was connected to that. I found some left over gear, dusted over and worn out, but it was still there. Kneeling, I picked up a small pouch and wiped it off. Inside was a battery of some sort, but I didn't know how to make heads or tails of what it did, so for the moment I pocketed it and continued on.

Having all utilized the Henge jutsu to assume a form far different than their own, assuming traits of others they had met along their lifelong journeys, nine travelers made their way down the World Crossroads. There was a single distinguishing feature amongst them all, a white stripe worn on their clothing, from their left shoulder down to terminus of whatever garb they wore on their torso. A secondary measure was also worn by each individual, hidden underneath a piece of their clothing. Turning to acquaint themselves with one another again, they spoke of their plan of action, making a solid buy into Takumi to purchase items of import for their home nation, before returning home.
Their leader gave a stark nod, before turning in to head on towards the Artisan's village.

-----αfter leaving the gates, I took the lead along the road to the crossroads between Takumi and the villages. Habitually, I glanced over my shoulder every now and then to make sure Jae was still close behind. Or, more, that I hadn't gotten too far ahead. She seemed distracted, and had reacted nervously when I asked if she was ready to leave. Her eagerness made sense to me, but, again, it wasn't business I should have been poking my nose into. At least, until it was of concern to myself or one of my shinobi, then there would be an issue I would demand answers for. Until then... I looked forward again, sticking my hands in my pockets. I wasn't sure she had any interest in talking after everything that had happened in Takumi, so we walked in comfortable silence--for me anyway--for the moment.

Following behind Kaileer, Jae fell into the silence that seemed to enshroud them both whenever they were together. The last time she traveled with him, they had both ended up in this same scenario. The absurdness of this dejavu moment seemed to crack Jae's shell somewhat, the woman covering a hand over her mouth as she laughed. Seeing Samuru after two years was going to be tough. She suspected as much and anticipated the after math of such a moment but there was no way to psyche herself up for that moment. If anything she should be latching onto any distraction she could until then. "So after Kin made it a point to chase me out of Kumo, she must have handed the reigns off to you huh?" Jae said, curious as to when Kaileer had been given the title. It seemed very suspicious now that she thought about it. Kin had given her a clear warning. She wanted information that Jae had been unable to provide and because of that Jae left the moment she had been given the political decree to leave. For all Jae knew, this was a trap of sorts. "Don't take this the wrong way but it's hard for me to be formal towards you so suddenly. Not that you don't deserve the formality..i'm just bad with formal stuff." Her mouth clamped shut quickly, the ranting already having gotten way out of hand.
Turning her head she let out a long sigh. This was going to be a long trek. Maybe she should follow Kaileer's lead and just not talk. Her personality made it difficult to just sit still. Even when she wasn't exactly on hundred and ten percent herself. Glancing at Kaileer, she changed the subject yet again. "I still want to pay my debt back. Not because of your new status... either." She muttered, recalling the events of the alley. Now she was going to have to go down another route to get to the UHV. Maybe even infiltration. Jae couldn't stomach the thought of working with those sons of bitches but she had no choice if any outlet she tried didn't produce any results. Thrice she had been in the middle of something related to the UHV and thrice she had come up empty handed. Before she ended up down that path she wanted to square off her debts. Kaileer having seriously saved her a** in the alley by showing up when he had. Her carelessness had almost gotten her killed.

Taka was walking along under the guise of henge. She moved right on along, made up to look like a woman down on her luck, and a burned scar across one side of her face. Someone that was cast aside in the times they needed someone. This was all just to draw a few people in. She didnt go to takumi but made a beeline for giman. Well not so much a bee line...she walked straight towards it. Bees are weird.

Having reached the neutral ground of the world crossroads where the road to takumi branched off, Theodin stopped for a second, hovering near the ground, catching his breath. Checking the pockets of his robe, he made sure the map he'd gotten in Giman was still there, nodding to himself when he felt the bundle of paper. he let the invisibility jutsu end, then flew off back towards home at shunshin speed. With the note taken care of, Bast and her golem sailed over the land with ease. Upon reaching the crossroads, she almost turned absentmindedly toward the Wind Country, but managed to catch herself and sent herself along the path to Takumi. It would be a while before she would be returning, perhaps, but she was certain the time spent away from the Sand would be well worth it.

Reaching the crossroads, Theodin looked out towards Sasagi City, remember all the things he had to deal with for his mission, and kind of wondering what had happened to his teacher. Sighing, he turned down the wide path to Takumi.

Seiji carried on just slightly ahead of his team as he surveyed the path ahead of them on the way to Takumi. His slate grey eyes attempting to pick out any fine details while he also listened for the sounds of others travelling or creatures along the various paths down from the mountains. He then motioned to his team, showing them the centre of the crossroads.
"And this is where all of the villages come together in some fashion. My brother taught me the paths from here. There is a small port village southeast of here that takes one to the Land of Water. Due South you pass through Shumogakure and then end up in Konohagakure. Same path but further down leads you into Sunagakure. Though Myurai was very skeptical about that place. Uhm, I remember there was a pathway to Iwagakure once upon a time. It skirted the Konohagakure borders." The Chuunin told his team, turning to point to the pathways that went into the different lands. He then pointed down the roadway they were taking.
"But us, we're taking this path and skirting the waterfront to reach Takumi." The determined leader spoke before he continued to carry on down the roadway, his eyes resolute.
xxxxxNathaniel eyed his hand suspiciously, having shaken it with Liori earlier in their travels. He'd introduced himself and offered to heal her if her fireworks ever got dangerous. Still, mouths on hands... It was certainly strange. He wondered, briefly, how medical jutsu would go if he had mouths on his. Would his patients be terrified? Probably only if he nipped them. Well- oh! Nathaniel blinked himself to the present, listening to Seiji's words.
"Shouldn't be any rogues around these parts," He muttered under his breath.

Having replaced her hands behind her neck after exchanging pleasantries after. 'So he's a medic, I suppose we sure lucked out having him placed in the squad. Maybe I should have him look at my hand...' She thought to herself watching as Seiji motioned for them to group up next to him. Standing with the rest of her squad she listened as Seiji explained where exactly they were, from the sound of it the spot gave her the feeling of being at the center of the world. However he ended up mentioning Iwagakure at the end which quickly spiked her blood pressure. She clenched her hands into fists as he continued to speak, her blood felt like it was boiling as she started to recognize the path they were on. This was the road she took when she was fleeing with her family towards the land of lightning. Her brows furrowed as they continued to follow their leader down the path towards what he explained was the waterfront. She would remain quiet as she waited for her anger to burn itself out.
