I apologize for the delay in my reaching out to you, as I have been making final preparations with the other village Kages regarding the Exams." Shaking the paper back and forth to collect the loose sand at the base of the writing table the Mizukage blew on its carefully before setting it to the side to allow it to dry quicker. -----Turning green eyes to his adviser Jack considered the best approach to speaking when he realized that Inka had clearly come in with something to say. Blinking mildly, ignoring the wind that rustled his hair but failed to touch his desk, the clone cocked his head to the side and clasped his hands before him. Odd, that Konoha would come when so many others had insisted they never would. Perhaps Ryouichi was finally able to make Masahiro see some semblance of sense. Sighing at the thought, Jack finished up the last of his letter to Gimangakure by holding up a single finger which glowed with chakra as he began to scribe information, and a multitude of seals, onto the parchment. As he did so he continued on to Inka as if nothing at all were the matter. "I would imagine that Konoha, one of the oldest shinobi establishments within our world, would have strange shinobi within their ranks. Whereas our shinobi tend to be quiet and strange, the universe has to maintain its balance and create loud ones elsewhere." A simple attempt at humor that was likely lost on the Consul. -----Finishing the final scrawl, Jack groaned as he stood and placed the already sanded letter into a bowl and rolled it tightly with even, smooth movements. Tying it with a velvet bow the Mizukage reached out and tied it to the foot of the large bird before stepping back and nodding to it, and watched as it flew upwards and out into the sky, until it was a pinpick on the horizon. With a small smile, forlorn expression written plain upon his face, Jack explained. "Gimangakure, a village of rogues, has asked to speak with us on a formal meeting and possible alliance to attack the United Hidden Villages and shove them back from our lands. While I appreciate the request, I do not know if I have the heart to make such decisions that I know will have great loss of life. I have instead decided to send you, Inka, in my place as my Consul of War. I trust you to make the right decisions for this village." Turning to finally look at Inka, Jack's eyes closed in an honest to goodness smile. -----And then he paled, and his eyes opened as far as they could go. -----The world around them darkened, clouds tinged with red suddenly racing across the sky. Taking a sharp breath, Jack stumbled back against the desk, a hand going to his chest as black lines crept across his flesh, his veins bulging and dying within him. Shock, pain, and absolute terror washed over him as his eyes turned rapidly to Inka, revealing that his eyes, once emerald and lively with life, were yellow as the purest gold now. Something that Inka might remember from the days when Jack left the village after tearing someone apart. Coughing, struggling to breathe, Jack lunged for the Consul and grabbed his arm, the one where his Sigil lay, and the symbol glowed as Jack spoke words that made no sense to him before choking out something far, far worse. "I'm...dying...You...Kage..." Slowly turning his eyes to meet Inka's, the clone's face started to flake and fall apart, exposing the dark, twisted energy that kept it still alive beneath. Terror still there, now warring with pain, the clone collapsed to its knees, coughed, and expelled a black, tar-like substance from its mouth. "I...Don't know...What...But I'm dying...Inka...Please...Protect the village...from me! Kagerou...she'll have the answers...Go...Go! Get out of here!" This he screamed as dark energy rippled across the earth, as papers were flung through the doorway into the office's foyer, as everything about the world quickly began to fall apart. Eyes with fear, and now a deep, deep sorrow, Jack said his last words on this earth: "I'm sorry." -----With a scream that could be heard across Kirigakure, Jack's clone disintegrated, and somewhere in the distance a massive eruption of black and white energy swallowed Jack's Island entirely.

"I Must Drag Truth Kicking and Screaming into the Light"
Kagerou sure had taken her sweet time going up the Sero. In much need of some peace and quiet, she had foregone taking the elevator at first in favor of simply walking up the Sero. It was like when she had gone to the office just yesterday. Just yesterday, she had been assigned her new squad, of which half was now dead. Just yesterday Shadow was still alive and Jack had looked like he was going to lead Kirigakure for a long, long time, regardless of what the public thought of him. Just yesterday… and today was like the day after the village's destruction of the Sero, when Kagerou lost so many people she knew and loved. Kagerou gave the tree that caused so much grief an unfocused look and placed a hand upon its firm surface. In six months' time, it had turned from monster to the pillar of the village, a central hub that would be devastating to replace. she thought, uncertain if the idea gave her hope or guilt for having such a nihilistic view on the world. Probably both, which still made her feel bad.
It was a given that if Kagerou's hand was on the tree then it would be brushing against it with every step she took. Unlike the last time she walked with her hand against the tree, though, she wasn't paying attention. It didn't take long for Kagerou suddenly wince in pain, but she wasn't even paying enough attention to bother pausing her steps. She just kept on walking. However, her hand was at least quick to come off the tree. To survey the damage, Kagerou turned her palm towards her. It was a splinter, the consequence of her absentminded movements. Being small, not even large enough to draw any blood, Kagerou easily picked out the proof of her distracted thoughts. Something like a splinter… Just yesterday she ran her hand alongside the tree just fine without getting hurt. This was also her fault.
Seeing the dead. Heck, technically even fighting the dead. Kagerou had experienced both. There was a time when she had nightmares of them on a daily basis, but that phase had passed quickly. However, she was not such a hardened veteran that she could take either in stride. She still dreamed of the dead when the day's events reminded her of the terrors, like yesterday. Apparently, like right now as she fumbled through sorrow and guilt, she'd see visions of them even while awake: faces of both living terror and dead blankness being washed away by floodwaters that left Kagerou powerless, bloody sheets draped over inert bodies, animated dead cloaked in wooden armors, the myriad of makeshift wooden headstones that were initially used to memorialize the unrecovered bodies of friends and neighbors before a proper memorial was erected months later. Jack and Shadow, if it was just a death count, were just one of many.
However, it was more than just a death count. The fresh death hurt Kagerou just like all those previous. The only tool she had gained since then was that she didn't have to wrack her mind over how to overcome this grief. She knew all she needed was time and thought, both of which she was getting right now as she walked up the Sero. She was also certain that splashing around uselessly in this sad puddle wasn't going to get her anywhere. In truth, she should have been ready to return to society and take an elevator by now if the only problem was having seen yet two others die.
The fact of the matter, though, was that in these past six months, Kagerou had conveniently forgotten the feeling of helplessness that she felt when she bustled around in the medical tents, finding plenty of jobs but not being able to tend to those who really needed it because of her lack of skills. She wouldn't needlessly berate herself by going so far as to say she had been nothing more than dead weight. That was far from truth. She had busied herself as much as possible in helping with the village's reconstruction, and it had given her passing familiarity with a myriad of skills. However, that was all time that could have spent on fixing the helplessness she knew she had. was the thought that trapped Kagerou in an endless cycle of brooding, It was worse that the something didn't have to be large. Even just having learned one technique that could have pulled Shadow out of there would have meant something. How long did learning a technique take? A few hours at most? A few hours more of training and Kagerou could have saved one life. The feeling left her so conflicted. On one side, there was no way she could have known so this regret was no different from hoping that the dead would come to life. On the other side, how could she not regret being unprepared to save a life when that was the very path she chose to take? She had even endured the scathing comments of her grandparents when she had to repeat a little under a year's worth of classes at the academy because she had decided half a year before graduating that she wanted to be a medic instead of a fighter.
She stopped in her tracks. This was her first time stopping. While she may have been stalling for time by not taking the elevator, her steps had been steady in their upwards march. The same could not be said for the beat rung out of her bells, though. The ringing had been shaky and unbalanced, their beat interrupted frequently by little fidgets of the wrist caused by Kagerou's stressful thoughts. The belled hand lifted from the precious tome it was supporting with the other hand and rubbed Kagerou's temple. she tried to get over it with reason, but in the end, all she accomplished was letting her body fall into a lean against the trunk of the Sero. The back of her head pressed against the firmly soft bark, Kagerou let out a deep breath.
<'If I was too scared to even protect the Mizukage and my squad mate, then who am I to claim that I can stand up for strangers? Or even complete enemies?'>
It was a thought Kagerou had back at the cliff, a flash of reality that she didn't want to deal with at the moment because of all the other ambient stress. she grimaced at her weakness, and more importantly at her inability to find a solution to fix it. There was a sort of desperate scoff, a short laugh, as she reiterated her thoughts with a forced smile, "I have to accept this." The hand rubbing her temples lowered and started shaking to a steady beat. The ringing was clouded at first, but it soon took on a crisper, clearer tone as the shakes of Kagerou's wrist became calmer, more consistent, and more confident.
How lucky she was to be able to so easily accept that she had been a coward. No, more than that. To easily accept that because she had been brave at other times, it was just a cowardly moment, and that it was okay to have those moments. She still would rather not have such moments. She still didn't know how to fix the problem. However, she could accept that, too. She was still young. She could still grow. Looking at it a little negatively, she was allowed to procrastinate. It was unrealistic to think that just having to face something two or three times would give her all the answers to handling it. She was… sure that the Mizukage and Shadow would want her to develop from this incident without getting stuck in it.
Kagerou figured, and just at that moment, there was the familiar, "Ding!" that alerted those nearby that an elevator car was about to open. Kagerou peered around the corner that she just realized she had stopped at to see people coming out of an elevator that she did not know was there. she thought, her mouth stretched into a flat line and eyes wide in a, "oops," sort of manner. A smile, a real one, was quick to follow when she saw that the elevator was going up, "But lucky me, I guess."
Kagerou turned the corner and slipped into the elevator. The doors began to close, and just before they completely shut, a small songbird zoomed in at the last moment. There was a small commotion because of the sudden flitting around of an avian in the crowded compartment of an elevator. Thankfully, there weren't many passengers, giving the bird plenty of room to swoop down onto Kagerou's shoulder, the intended recipient of the small message tied on its foot. The disturbance died down as Kagerou untied the short message from the bird's tiny leg, and as she unrolled it, the elevator stopped at the next floor. The doors opened, and the bird was gone with one of the other passengers.
The message was short.
"Come."
The handwriting was familiar.

When Jack had failed to specify a time, Kagerou had left it open to interpretation because she did not know him well. The same could not be said for her grandmother. With a short, curt message like this, the intent was for Kagerou to act on it as soon as possible.
Kagerou noted even though she knew from the beginning that she would not be able to heed the summons asap. The tome she still held in her arms and the meeting with the newly appointed Mizukage came first. With one hand, Kagerou neatly folded the note and pocketed it in a projectile pouch.
The rest of the trip was peaceful. Kagerou stood in some random spot on the elevator and thought about what she would say when she met Inka. How would she greet him? Should the message be delivered word-for-word? Should she consider saying anything slightly differently in case Inka would take the news hard? What was the proper way of speaking? Was she planning too hard? Should she just wing it and have it come out naturally? Ahhhh, but deciding to do that can't really be considered winging it.
The trip to the top floor of the Sero passed in a flash amidst various thoughts once Kagerou boarded an elevator. People she did not know, and some she did, bustled back and fro. It wasn't enough to call it panic, but there certainly was a certain level of tension in the air. Kagerou stood out, in her formal kimono of black and white. However, neither this nor the large book she held was enough to attract any attention to her greater than the momentary glance given to something that did not quite fit in. That was just the kind of atmosphere occupied the space around and in the Mizukage's office, where not too long ago a village-wide screech had originated from.
As a final precaution, Kagerou hastily but gently dabbed her face with the sleeve of her belled hand and tried to make sure that her short hair was presentable as best as she could without the assistance of a mirror. She didn't wear make-up and she didn't cry a lot either, but she just wanted to make as sure as possible that there were no tear stains remaining on her face, especially since she didn't wash her face on her way up. she worried. Although, she didn't really need to. Her eyes held only the faintest signs of the few tears they had shed.
In this crowd, Kagerou could try to find Inka herself by analyzing the movements and gazes of the others to locate the center of activity or she could just go and ask the secretary. Obviously, Kagerou went to ask the secretary, her approach heralded by the occasional, "Excuse me," a short greeting or two, and the ringing of the bells on her wrist. In a bit of a rare sight, she pushed past those who had been waiting for the secretary's attention before she came in, essentially cutting the line. "Ms. Thanderveldt," Kagerou consciously kept her message short, using words she had prepared on her way up the Sero, "I have a tome and message for Inka-sama from Jack-""-sama," with only one minor edit. The aforementioned book was held tightly to Kagerou's chest, where it could be easily seen.

To clarify, they they gain a -5 chakra reduction every rank, to a maximum of -20 at sannin. All medical jutsu are still learnable by both sides, but the chakra control only applies to the chosen side.
• Grand Performance - The user can perform both types of arts (ninjutsu and genjutsu) through their performance or instrument, often casting them at the same time (must pay for both techniques). Can perform D rank techniques through instrument at gennin, C at Chunnin, B at jounin, A at Konin, and S at Sannin.
• Learn Medical techniques one (1) post faster.
• Learn ninjutsu (1) post faster.
• Learn genjutsu one (1) post faster.
• D"eye"versity - Through the use of custom techs, Kagerou can swap between the normally limited abilities and techniques for her sharingan, potentially giving her access to all eye abilities and mangekyou techs. She can never have more than the written limits at any one time (e.g. access to all eye abilities but cannot use more than two at a time). In addition to learning the required custom and whatever additional requirements that custom might have, Kagerou needs to fulfill certain conditions for a safe swap. Each Sharingan ability or technique swapped must be retrained and adjusted to, a process that takes twenty [20] posts at first for each Sharingan ability/technique, is reduced by two [2] posts every time the Sharingan ability/technique is safely retrained, and can take a minimum of six [6] posts per Sharingan ability/technique. If necessary, Kagerou can perform a riskier, instant swap on the fly without the readjustment period, but these swaps can only last for up to five [5] posts and disables the Sharingan, which needs to recover from the strain, for twice [x2] the number of posts that the swap lasted for. Techniques learned with the 'To Copy' Sharingan ability, which can be swapped out, are not forgotten but must be retrained every time Kagerou safely swaps to the 'To Copy' ability. Instant swaps to the 'To Copy' ability give Kagerou all of her copied techniques without needing to retrain them. For every time Kagerou safely swaps to her 'To Copy' ability, her copied techniques take two [2] less posts to retrain, going down to a minimum of one [1] post to retrain each copied technique.
• Miracle Performance - Kagerou can perform healing eiseijutsu through her performance/instrument as if it was ninjutsu of the same rank. When performing healing medical techniques, she can target anyone who can hear her music with the jutsu. I.e. she no longer has to be within touch range of the target to use healing hands.
• The Good Host - 1/2 off all implant chakra requirements.
• Mind and Body - A sound soul resides in a sound mind and a sound body. To ensure the health of all three, Kagerou must master every aspect of medicine. Kagerou gains an additional medical field type. The additional type needs to be trained separately from the first.
• Evergreen Growth - Life always finds a way, especially when it's helped by someone who truly cherishes it. Plants cultivated by Kagerou grow as if the soil they are nourished by is +1 grade higher than it actually is. Unfertilized soil yields crops in 2 rl weeks. Low-grade fertilizer yields crops in 1 week. High-grade fertilizer reaches a new level of fast and yields crops in 4 days. (Post-acceptance note: I just realized that there is an Evergreen religion in this guild. I did not mean for this to be a religious PA in any way. It's just botany. I hope that's not a problem.)

[･･･] Inka gave a quiet snort, Jack's humour going over his head enough to only wring out the smallest of amusement. Inka stepped a little closer, watching the Mizukage with respectful distance, knowing he needn't insert himself into every speck of business of the village leader. "Gimangakure?" The Consul's lips twisted into a confused snarl, red-tinted eyes gleaming and narrow. "Wouldn't have expected - Jack?" Inka's spine went ram-rod straight, eyes wide in mimicry of the older male. A chill of fear and instinct cried out and consumed the Konin, causing him to crouch low and look behind him - nothing? What did he miss? His hand had curled around his weapon of choice, but it was forgotten as he heard the Kage stumble, leaning heavily onto his desk now. "Jack!" He hissed, fear darkening his eyes. Against his better judgement, Inka stepped closer, a hand lifted as though to grab the Mizukage. He'd seen those eyes before...
"Jack?" Inka blinked, turning his head and opening his mouth to scream for the ANBU guard to do something but then his arm was grabbed and Inka's attention was solely focused on Jack. "What are you... What?!" Panic soaked the Consul's words, turning them sharp and erratic. "The ******** you mean you're dying?" Eyes wide, red-framed gold iris' were darting all over Jack's crumbling face. "Don't - don't!" Inka lifted a hand, shaking, on the edge of touching Jack's face as if pressing the flakes back to their original position would be enough to make everything better - but he couldn't bring himself to do so as the same urge to touch was counted with an equal fear that it would be the breaking moment for Jack's clone.
The clone collapsed, and Inka was left standing over his hunched form, only flinching back at the unexpected black sludge retched up by the clone. The <********> is going on?!
"From you?" He questioned, taking a half step back. "You're not telling me what's happening here, Ja-ack!" Inka grunted at the wave of energy that buffeted him back and knocked open the doors behind him. "Jack!" He roared, anger summoned up along with the complete unknown of this situation. He had been pushed back, nearly completely out of the room. He saw Jack mouth some words, the Kage's voice so quiet before the scream.

In the aftermath, Inka's ears were ringing, but he could hear a distant rumble. Inka lowered his arms, but paused partway through, dark gaze locked on the seal on the inside of his right wrist. Like lightning had struck, Inka suddenly surged into action. "Konoha!" He snapped, all teeth and rage. "Get out of here." He stalked up to the boisterous male. "Give me the scroll, leave, don't come back. I'll not risk a war because of your poor timing." The Konin - no. The Kage gave a brief explanation. "You've had the misfortune of visiting during an incident that our residents may associate to your presence. Do not risk an incident by dallying, or returning, here. This is a very strong suggestion from Mizukage... Inka Hizara." Dismissing Nakicho by turning away, Inka's narrowed gaze went to the secretary's desk. Kagerou...
"Krisella Thanderveldt." He addressed. "I want a report on Jack Harren Snipe's current location and status. Alert the local ANBU force. Do not cause a panic - I want this tightly controlled and ordered." The secretary nodded and reached for the phone at her desk.
"Inka Hizara." An ANBU arrived, voice muffled from the mask. "An incident has occurred." Inka remained silent for a second, eyes unwavering. The newly appointed Mizukage turned his head to look at Kagerou for a moment.
"I believe I'm already aware." He growled. Looking away from the Genin, Inka turned to the ANBU, but his eyes were on the Konoha ninja, waiting for privacy. Jack's office was... no longer viable.

Personal Attributes: • Last Resort : When a fatal strike is headed towards Inka's way he can use an emergency reserve of chakra and stamina to disrupt the attack but in doing so he must immediately flee. • Family Legacy : Katon jutsu is not beaten by Suiton jutsu one rank lower, and cancels out Suiton jutsu of same rank. • Paternal : Should Inka believe his son is in danger his attacks increase in power by a moderate amount.
Speak of the tiger and he arrives. Inka was in the lobby so soon that Kagerou almost felt like she had wasted breath asking for him. Dutifully, she kept her eyes trained on him from the moment he noticed her at the desk and she noticed him calling for the secretary. Even though Inka only looked at Kagerou again once, right after the masked ANBU informed him of an incident, Kagerou's gaze did not shift.
She stared so hard to be careful. With the inclusion of a foreign envoy, the already delicate situation became even more complicated. To make up for her inexperience, she was trying to pick up silent clues on how to proceed from Inka's actions and expressions. Judging from the two times he looked at her, she knew that he knew that she knew something. However, if his look at the foreigner meant anything, then he wanted to hear what Kagerou knew only after the foreigner left.
Kagerou could be the patient sort when she wanted to be. However, patience in emergencies always held the risk of simply being a nice way of labeling wasted time. Right now felt like one of those time to Kagerou, who still felt the sting of doing nothing back on the island. While waiting for the dawdling envoy to leave, Kagerou tried to find a way to pass on the necessary information to the consul-turned-Mizukage without arousing suspicion. The sooner he had more information, the faster he could become accustomed to his new office.
Kagerou considered veiling the truth from the foreigner with lies, using the stranger's unfamiliarity with the village and Inka's familiarity to her advantage. However, while she had been thoroughly taught the fundamentals of deception, she was actually terrible at creating any sort of façade through mere words and actions. If she could just get by with only a few words, though…
Kagerou looked away from Inka's face and at the secretary's desk. It was well equipped to receive guests, including a notepad and pens for guests to use. Kagerou used these supplies to her advantage to write and fold a note with one hand, the other hand remaining securely on the book:
"While sleeping, squad 1 teleported to Lonely Island by leader.
Shortly after waking and meeting J, heard suspicious laughter that J feared. J threw T and K through a portal and off the island moments before implosion. K last saw S and J standing on the island. T slept through most of it due to previously sustained injuries.
Message from J: "Give this to Inka. Tell him he is from this day Mizukage of Kirigakure. Tell him that something is coming, and the book will explain. Tell him....tell him he is better than he thinks he is.""
As she wrote, Kagerou tried her best to reveal nothing about what she felt through her expressions. She tried a little too hard as her face set itself into an unnaturally neutral expression, beneath which was a resurgence of the emotions she felt when she saw the island disappear. Contrary to the cold summary she gave of the events that unfolded, the memory was still fresh and warm. Her hands remained steady to the end, but only because she practiced music. Her feet fidgeted nervously and her eyes blinked rapidly the more Kagerou grew conscious of trying to maintain a neutral expression.
Taking the completed note, folded so that the message it held was hidden, Kagerou walked to Inka and held the book and note to him. There was an awkward, too-long pause, as guilt tied Kagerou's tongue. It seemed that she… really couldn't bring herself to tell a simple lie… Calmly, Kagerou blinked and recovered. She adapted. Still holding the book and note to Inka, Kagerou gave a short bow. After straightening up so that she could look Inka straight in the eyes, she reported professionally, "Inka-sama, you seem busy. If you would like further details, then I can wait until you have a moment to spare or I can start on a written report." It was much easier for her to omit than to lie, she learned just now. Hopefully, with only this much, Kagerou would look like she was simply completing a mission given prior to the current turmoil and Inka receive the information he needed to sufficiently fill in the blanks. Although, the cover-up was far from perfect. Kagerou mentally berated herself for not being able to present with a smile, and she had noticed a small shake in her voice as she spoke.

In addition to learning the required custom and whatever additional requirements that custom might have, Kagerou needs to fulfill certain conditions for a safe swap. Each Sharingan ability or technique swapped must be retrained and adjusted to, a process that takes twenty [20] posts at first for each Sharingan ability/technique, is reduced by two [2] posts every time the Sharingan ability/technique is safely retrained, and can take a minimum of six [6] posts per Sharingan ability/technique. If necessary, Kagerou can perform a riskier, instant swap on the fly without the readjustment period, but these swaps can only last for up to five [5] posts and disables the Sharingan, which needs to recover from the strain, for twice [x2] the number of posts that the swap lasted for. Techniques learned with the 'To Copy' Sharingan ability, which can be swapped out, are not forgotten but must be retrained every time Kagerou safely swaps to the 'To Copy' ability. Instant swaps to the 'To Copy' ability give Kagerou all of her copied techniques without needing to retrain them. For every time Kagerou safely swaps to her 'To Copy' ability, her copied techniques take two [2] less posts to retrain, going down to a minimum of one [1] post to retrain each copied technique.
• Miracle Performance - Kagerou can perform healing eiseijutsu through her performance/instrument as if it was ninjutsu of the same rank. When performing healing medical techniques, she can target anyone who can hear her music with the jutsu. I.e. she no longer has to be within touch range of the target to use healing hands.

Not yet. Not here.

Kagerou crossed a now empty arm across her chest in a sort of salute and gave a short bow of her head, "Understood," was all she said. Then she was gone, face still held strictly in a neutral expression. As Kagerou exited the office, she had a few things on her mind. First, there was getting to her grandparents as fast as possible. Of course, there was also the matter of the report. Unexpectedly, there was also a question Kagerou wouldn't have thought she'd be asking, . She knew what they were, but… she hadn't heard of it… at all…

As the otherwise boisterous nin fell silent he'd toss the scroll to be used for the communication technique for later use by the man. It was done so in away that showed very little remorse for the events that had just unfurled however, As what came from the Nin was an exhaustive sigh and a "Not again" with a muddled context behind it. He of course was referring to how his meeting in Kumogakure was less than ideal and it was no better here in the mist.
"I'll depart with haste." Performing an immediate about face the man began to walk towards the lifts once more before producing a final statement. "First the condition of the clouds looked shaky on my arrival and now the mist seems to be following suit in that regard...perhaps I'm just a herald of misfortune. Ahahaha." The statement and muffled laughter could be interpreted as incriminating, that is only if the person attempting to decipher his words were in a radical and irrational mindset. Although, it was said in trying to make light of the otherwise grim situation that unfurled. After all different personalities handle tragedy differently it also helped that Nakicho was not affiliated with the village. The cloud of people falling from grace, Masahiro, the red haired boy, what was believed to be the mizukage...perhaps he truly was a bearer of misfortune. He would then board the lift less something prevented him from doing so.

>Baranotsubomi:Back:バラのつぼみ (Rosebud) [Triggered, Uses Remaining 2/3] The second form is the neutral state of the blade. The blade is a typical steel silver. However upon attacks self inflicted or otherwise it absorbs the blood of the injured location eventually until the blade grows red. Upon becoming red the blade becomes entirely serrated making injuries susceptible to cause hemorrhaging and muscle tearing. It takes a blood draw from the base of the blade to the tip before becoming red. This can be executed by the user as if performing a blood summoning by running a finger from the end to tip or causing a significant enough wound on the opponent. When red the blade can null jutsu one rank lower than the corresponding styles Rank. Up to 3 times before a new blood draw is required. Each Blood Draw costs 20 Stamina and 20 Chakra if self inflicted.
Katsurou clutched his messenger bag as he entered the building. He held his chin up and kept his back straight, exerting the typical Yamanaka calm confidence as best he could. This was an important moment for him. Having graduated the academy sooner than his twin meant that there was an even bigger spotlight on him; if he messed up after surpassing his sibling, he'd look selfish and over-ambitious. Still, he couldn't let the opportunity pass him by because of his inclination to fret.
He approached the secretary's desk with a polite smile. "Hello," he greeted, "I'm Yamanaka Katsurou and I'm here to see the Mizukage for my headband." His eyes raked over the half-circle desk for a few moments before he reminded himself to be courteous, and instead made eye contact. He knew he'd need to wait at the chairs before being called up, and that the secretary probably didn't give out headbands (there was a possibility, he'd played with the numbers in his head before coming in), but that didn't mean he had to forget his manners. He tried to control his fidgeting as he awaited instruction.
