The Hispanic would grin and laugh a little bit at his Lovers comment as he felt how hot it had gotten between when they were out earlier and now. He simply let out a small hum and grinned "Grease monkey's like me learn to deal with it for the sake of our vehicles" it really was true. Back when he was still deployed he had one friend in his unit where the two of them could spend hours talking about cars as if they were fine art pieces. They both laughed about how the two of them could stand under a blazing sun for hours if need be working on a car, it sucked terribly but it was just something you had to do. A shame he died during a mission, he was a good man. Once Virgil saw the gift that Marcel had gotten him "Consider it the first of many gifts coming your way" Marcel wasn't good with words, however objects and actions were how he tended to show his affection however when he glanced over it was then that Marcel remembered how much he loved this man. He truly did, the look on Virgil's face when he thanked him for the dresser made Marcel's heart skip a bit. How could such a strong and rugged man pull off such a shy and even beautiful smile was beyond him. Marcel had spaced out, nearly awestruck by the sight hat he quickly had to shake his head a little bit when Virgil went around and asked if he was ready. Once the Veteran snapped out of it he quickly nodded his head and lifted up his side with Virgil as the two would begin to lift it into the apartment building, thankfully with Virgil's help it wasn't too difficult. Marcel was without a doubt strong but heavy lifting wasn't his forte. Once they got to the apartment door Marcel would remove one hand from the box to reach behind him to open the door and began to carry the box into the apartment. Once they were past the threshold the younger man quickly led them to the bedroom where it would be set down against a vacant well next to the Hispanic's closet. He let out a sigh once it was set down and Marcel would stop and look at Virgil for a moment before approaching him and pressed his lips against Virgil's. He wanted nothing more than to wrap his arms around the other man as that smile was still fresh in his mind but he knew how greasy he was and the other man wouldn't appreciate it probably. So instead he stood there on his toes exploring the others mouth for as long as the other would allow him before finally pulling back some "You are so cute, you know that right?" with that little statement Marcel would begin to pull his shirt off "I'm going to shower first" he stated before stripping down completely, feeling perfectly comfortable around Virgil in such a state of undress now "Then once I'm done I'll begin working on this, you can go back to relaxing now if you want" with that Marcel would open the bathroom door and began to run a barely lukewarm shower to cool off a bit before stepping in and grabbing a bar of soap he kept just for this such thing. The soap had little beads in it that he found to help get rid of all the black grease and oil from his car.

But Virgil didn’t say anything about it, believing it wasn’ anyone’s place to tell other people how they should spend their money. His brows furrowed a bit when it took a second for Marcel to snap back into reality to help him with the box. What in the hell had caused that? As he helped him bring the dresser in, he found himself being rather thankful that they lived on the bottom floor. What was something that normally should be no problem for him was slowly starting to get heavier the longer they spent carrying it. He bit down on the inside of a cheek to keep himself focused on the task at hand while he fought against the growing weakness of his body. The beast of a man was used to being an unstoppable force so he hated not being on top of his game, so much so he almost wished Matthew would show his hideous face so he could kick his a** again. A sigh of relief came from him once they finally managed to get the box into their bedroom and set it down. He flexed his fingers to get the blood flowing back properly. Some noise of surprise was made when he was kissed out of nowhere although he didn’t resist and was soon melting into it, a hand fisting itself in front of the other man’s kiss. Marcel could have been completely covered in gore and he wouldn’t have minded in the slightest. At first, he was able to ignore the the burning of his lungs although after a minute he had to break away. Breathing a bit on the heavy side, he let go of him as a half smiled formed. ”Ya keep sayin’ that so it must be true.” He stepped back to give him room to undress. Seeing his maked form would always cause some hint of arousal to spark within him, but this time he felt more an innocent warmth through his chest. Virgil was glad the Hispanic appeared to be comfortable enough around him to show off his scarred body. ”Alright. I’mma step outside an’ smoke for ah bit.” Better share his plans with him so he wouldn’t think he’d disappeared on him again. On his way out of the bedroom, he stopped and glanced back at the dresser. So this was it. The first sign of permanence in Marcel’s life. It was as nice as it was frightening to him as he was unable to stop the more depressing thoughts from a surfacing. Shaking his head, he returned to the kitchen to get his stuff again and headed out to his truck. Virgil lowered his tailgate to sit on and lit a cigarette, taking a sip of coffee between deep drags of it. The temperature made it hard to really enjoy it and he ended up quitting about halfway, putting the cancer stick out against his truck before tossing it away. He grabbed the lockbox underneath his seat, standing there for a moment as he looked for anything else he might need to bring in with him. He was just about to shut his door and lock it again when he noticed his collar hanging from the rear view mirror and decided to grab it. Might as well since the thing wasn’t exactly used in just his wolf form anymore. On his way back inside, he stop by the convertible and reached over to push the button that would put the top up. He seriously doubted it would be pretty if someone came along and messed with the cherished vehicle and leaving it open seemed like creating an open invitation or an troublemakers. ”Goddamn it...I’ve already gotten spoiled.” Virgil growled a little as he went inside and felt an instant relief at the conditioned air. What was even better was getting back to their place and finding it to be even cooler than the hallway. He brought the items into the bedroom and put them on top of his duffle before he sat down on the bed with his coffee. Marcel might not want any help with putting the dresser together, but at the very least he could offer moral support.

Part of the reason that Marcel had chosen the first floor of the apartment complex was because of how easy it made moving heavy objects like furniture. At the time when he first moved in Marcel barely had the energy or desire to more work than necessary for himself and while he was in a much better place than before he still was happy that he'd chosen the bottom floor of the building. Once their kiss was broken Marcel was left smiling up at the taller man and chuckled a little bit at his comment "Oh it is, I wouldn't say it if it wasn't" Marcel was rather bluntly honest most of the time. Back when he was with Kendra anytime she asked if an article of clothing looked good on her he usually said yes because it did. But then there were those odd times where he was brutally honest, one time that stood out in memory was when she'd gotten this really weird dress for a party that was like one shoulder strap and really ill fitting. She loved it but Marcel pointedly told her that she looked like a frumpy grey sea lion. Kendra was without a doubt livid at him for his honest opinion but at least once she cooled down a bit she thanked him for his honesty and ended up returning the dress for something better looking. Marcel would be just as honest with Virgil should the need ever arise, that being said though the two of them probably weren't going to be doing anything along those lines anytime soon. Once Marcel was finished undressing he knew that the other man was eyeing all the marks all over his neck and body and while he wasn't embarrassed by them in front of Virgil but the one that noticeable was much higher up and would be impossible for him to hide unless he wore some jacket or scarf. And with it being so hot outside there was no way in hell he'd do that, instead he'd just suck it up and if anybody at school asked he'd tell them to ******** right off. The Hispanic would then let out a small sound of confirmation when Virgil informed him that he was going out for a smoke. He definitely appreciated it to say the least, even if it wasn't needed. The Veteran said he'd never doubt him again and he meant it. Once Marcel was in the shower he'd begin to scrub down his body with the soap, trying his hardest to get every last drop of grease and oil off of his body. It was a bit of a chore considering the fact that the soap wasn't specifically designed to get rid of it but eventually Marcel was clean as a whistle and he'd turn the water off before towel drying himself off completely and looked into the mirror for a moment before nodding his head, he'd need to get a haircut soon. The hair on the sides of his head were slowly beginning to grow back out once more and the Hispanic man preferred it short on the sides but below medium on the top. It was a style that he'd always resonated with even as a young teen, obviously he'd had his head shaved like everyone else in the military but the moment he got out he grew his hair out the moment he could. His hair always did grow out to be quite long if he didn't maintain it in such a way, his Mother had always said that it came from her side of the family. Either way it seemed like another trip to the mall so he could get a hair cut would be in order, maybe tomorrow after work or something. He'd have to see. Once Marcel stepped out he would blink in surprise to find Virgil back in the bedroom sitting on the bed. He had taken a bit longer in the shower thanks to the grease so the surprise was short lived. Marcel would quickly open up his closet door and stepped inside for a brief moment to grab yet another blue t-shirt and more shorts before getting dressed. Once that was done Marcel would proceed to glance over at Virgil and smiled a little bit in amusement "You can go and watch TV, it's probably going to be boring as hell with me" he stated honestly before chuckling "Or did you miss me that badly?" the Hispanic teased the other man with an amused look on his face before reaching over and tearing open the box to reveal a ton of pieces, parts wrapped in plastic, and a large set of instructions. Time for the fun part! Marcel might say that it was boring to watch but he always enjoyed these kinds of things, he knew that some people hated putting their own things together but the Hispanic was quite the opposite. Being such a hands on kind of guy these kinds of distractions were right up his ally. With that Marcel would begin to pour over all the instructions, separating the provided tools that were in one bag while and slowly begin to unbag each of the items on the paper and began to work on putting the basic shape of the dresser together, putting each of the screws into the appropriate spots and screwing them into place. There were a lot of pieces scattered all over the floor but Marcel wasn't put off by it in the least as he finally got down to business and began to construct the shell of the dresser, one piece at a time.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Virgil smiled a bit at the look of surprise that had crossed his face when the younger man had come back into the room. He planned on hanging outside and relaxing for at least a little while, but apparently, temperatures above seventy degrees were now something he'd only tolerate if he absolutely had to. Needless to say, he hadn't wanted a cigarette badly enough to sit outside and sweat for very long for it. It had to be the lack of trees around the place that made it feel so much hotter. He didn't remember it being this hot while they were out in the woods yesterday so that would be his theory anyway. Finished with his drink, he set it down on the floor for now and laid down. He rolled over in order to watch Marcel, rolling his eyes with a fond smile on his face when he noticed the clothing he was putting on. Given how many shirts he seemed to own in some shade of blue, he was starting to believe the color was his favorite one. Virgil didn't think he had a favorite color when he thought about it, he liked them all pretty much equally except for any shade of brown. He found it to be boring. Shorts were another thing his lover seemed to prefer, which he couldn't help but admit that they were something he looked good in. Hopefully, Marcel wouldn't get a crazy idea about getting him into a pair. He hated showing off his legs, mostly due to the odd scar that circled around the middle of his left calf as if someone had cut off the appendage at some point and then had reattached it. Boxer briefs were the closest he'd ever come to wearing shorts and that was only because he wasn't comfortable with being entirely naked during those times when he wanted to relax without any clothing. "An' miss that cute lil' look ya get when you're concentratin' on somethin'? I don't think so." Marcel did look quite adorable when he was focused- not that there ever really was a time he didn't aside from during their sparring match the other day. Or any fight he'd witnessed so far, really. Watching television was only something he found when he was with the other man. Other time, it was boring and just made him feel lazy in a bad way. "Maybe I did!" He stuck out the tip of his tongue in retaliation at him. He had missed the pain in the a** of a man although he had enjoyed the peace and quiet a little bit more. pcolor=green]"It was kinda weird bein' here without ya." Though he lived here now as well, he couldn't stop thinking of the apartment as wholly being the veteran's territory. But now that he was getting a piece of furniture that was supposed to be his, he supposed he was going to have to truly start getting used to the idea of having a home again as well as properly moving in. The latter would be the easiest since he didn't own much and most of what he did have was already in his duffle bag. His hunting and camping supplies could stay in his truck. "There's no tellin' what while happen t'morrow so I wanna spend as much time with ya as I can t'day..." His voice got pretty soft as he admitted the last part, surprised at himself that his craving to be around Marcel would be this strong. If the werewolf did end up having the surgery tomorrow, he didn't know for certain if he would feel well enough to drive all the way back home and he wanted to get as much time with his beloved as he could. As Marcel went to work putting the dresser together, he quieted down to watch him. Virgil would at least hang around until he got too restless to remain still.

Blue shirts, several blue shorts, there was a blue winter coat, and he had a blue jacket for the fall months. One could say that Marcel had a particular liking to the color blue but he didn't think it was so obvious! Frankly speaking Marcel also had a liking for shorts, spending so many years in dry, hot, and arid countries while wearing his military uniform which obviously were strictly pants he would wear shorts anytime he could get away with it. Hell Marcel usually wore shorts well into the fall as long as it didn't get to be freezing too early. Marcel would blink a little bit in surprise when the other man said he made a "Cute look" when he was concentrating, did he? "Well then soak it in Virgil, I won't stop you" he stated with an amused tone. However Marcel would blink for a moment when his Lover admitted that he did miss him during the two hours or more that he was gone. He'd then offer a small smile to the other man "Hey, it's your home too now Rafe, don't feel weird about it" this was a permanent thing now. Marcel didn't want Virgil to feel like an outsider in his home home "We live together now...as a couple, your home isn't your truck anymore Querido" the Hispanic spoke softly as he scooted over for a moment to reach over and placed a hand on his calf, running his thumb over the odd scar almost mindlessly as it was instinct for him to do so at this point. He then proceeded to frown a bit at the other man's next comment and shook his head "Remember what we talked about Virgil, even if you do go into surgery it couldn't be any longer than an hour or two tops. It will literally just be them opening up that one little spot and pulling the arrow head out" he began "Then boom boom, a couple staples or something and you're out the door. I doubt you'll even be put under honestly, for something that minor my best bet is that they'll just numb the area or something like that" Marcel tried to further encourage the older man to not begin worrying about tomorrow's doctor visit. He knew the other man didn't like Hospitals so he'd try his best to encourage the other to see it his way, it was only logical of course. Once they were done he'd offer a comforting smile before patting the others leg one more time "It'll be fine, I promise" he stated with a comforting smile before turning back to the project before him. Soon a small look of concentration appeared just as Virgil pointed out happened without him even realizing it. It also seemed that the longer Marcel focused he'd begin to slowly stick the tip of his tongue out of his mouth just the tiniest bit as he worked. With a final turn of a screw the shell of the dresser would be complete and Marcel would turn back to the instructions to learn how to put together the drawers and let out a small sigh, the drawers weren't too difficult but there were a lot of them so it would take a bit of time to finish them. Thankfully after a bit of working, about twenty minutes give or take he'd finally finish the drawers and began to fit them into the shell of the wardrobe. Once it was finally completed Marcel smiled quite a bit "It's finally done!" he announced, completely unaware if Virgil was even still in the room with him or not. Either way it was stated loud enough to be heard from the other room if that were the case. From there Marcel would begin to place the plastic bags into the discarded box so he could throw it all away at once.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Oh, he planned to completely soak in this as much as he could! "Aye, I know. But it's been ah long time since I've shared ah place with another person, I'm still gettin' used t'it.." Virgil curled some to better look at him when he moved closer to the bed. He couldn't explain why but having the scar on his leg touched cause apprehension to spike in him. He wanted to move away from his fingers, but being the stubborn man he was, he refused to cave and focused instead on what Marcel was saying in order to combat his anxiety. "I'm going t'ask 'em t'put me t'sleep." Virgil didn't think he would be able to go through with the surgery otherwise. Once the yakuza had discovered he wasn't a human and could sustain far more damage than a normal person could, they had wasted little time in stepping up their torture game. The parts of his confinement he could recall the clearest were those when he was strapped to table while they experimented to find out what would and wouldn't hurt him. He could only hope the rest would be as simple as Marcel appeared to believe although he wasn't going to get them up too high. To him, it seemed kind of stupid to think the arrowhead was still in one piece or in its original shape after all the times he'd shapeshifted since then. Still, he returned the smile. He did appreciate it when Marcel tried to comfort him even it didn't always work as well as he might want it to. "If it's like last time, they'll have t'use silver t'keep th' incension from healin' while their workin'...th' antidote for it is goin' t'be th' worst part of th' whole thing." He would explain so Marcel would at least know what could be going on tomorrow if he didn't make it back as soon as they hoped he would. The side effects were nasty, so much so, he'd heard some shapeshifters claim they would rather bleed to death or die from the eventual infection that would take the open wound than they take the antidote to neutralize the effects of the silver. And he couldn't blame them for the sentiment, either. That deep green gaze of his intently watched his boyfriend once he went to work, seemingly waiting for something to happen. Then there it was. A s**t eating grin broke out across his face as the tip of that tongue peeked out between his lips. Virgil patted his pockets to grab his phone only to remember he had left it on the couch. Damn it all, he wanted to take a picture of this moment! Going to it though would run the risk of breaking the Spanish male's concentration and he couldn't do that.

It took all of fifteen minutes for him to start feeling antsy. Virgil managed to stay there a couple of minutes more before he rolled off the bed and stood. He gathered up any of their dirty clothes scattered on the floor and brought them to the laundry room, pausing on his way out when he noticed the door and was reminded of the project he was supposed to do. Crap. He knew he'd forgotten something in his truck! On his way out, he stopped by the laundry room to put on the load of clothes before he headed back outside to go grab the bag of stuff he'd bought to fix the door. It was inevitable that he'd run into another resident of the complex, but he didn't like the suspicious look a woman unloading groceries gave him. He knew he probably wasn't the friendliest looking b*****d on the planet, but she was staring him down like he was some kind of ax murderer still covered in blood! He ignored her, however, and quickly returned to their apartment before the bitty decided to call the cops about a suspicious looking man hanging around. "Ya got some real friendly neighbors around here, darlin'..." He would comment with some level of sarcasm as he came back into the bedroom to find Marcel already working on the drawers. He moved fast. Putting down the bag, he closed the door and began to pull off any big splinters of wood sticking out, which didn't take long at all to do. After grabbing one of the sheets of sandpaper, he went to start to sand down the claw marks on its surface along with any rough patches to smooth them out. Virgil had no ******** clue what he was going to do about the fist-sized hole in the door, but this was a start. He winched when the loudmouth called out. "Easy, love," he gently stated, but he didn't hold it against him since he'd never told him about his sensitive hearing. Turning around, Virgil blinked when he saw the finished product. "Damn...th' picture on th' box didn't do it any justice." It was a lot bigger than he thought it would be, but the dark oak did look really nice. He walked over and pulled one of the smaller top drawers open, pleased with how smooth the treads were. It had more drawers then he had clothes for though that didn't mean too much. They probably would remain empty. "Heh...got ah bigger one in hopes I'd start ah lingerie collection or somethin'?"

Marcel frowned just a light bit, he knew that being optimistic was all he could do for the other man but still though the stark truth that Virgil stated did make sense. Especially when he acknowledged that the doctors needed to use silver to keep the incision from closing too quickly. He hated it when Virgil was right at the moment and Marcel just wasn't too aware of his Lovers world to properly comfort him about the whole situation "Well either way know that I'll be right there for you...OK?" even if Virgil was as determined to be realistic about it that was one thing Marcel knew would be one hundred percent accurate no matter what. However if Virgil was going to be put under it meant that he'd probably be groggy and not in the right state of mind. Therefore he'd need to find out where Virgil would be taken care so he could drive the other man home. That being said however he didn't know what they planned, maybe they'd want to keep him overnight to keep an eye on him. But he knew that Virgil would have none of that probably and might try to up and leave, however that was for tomorrow and this was today. Eventually Marcel would not even notice Virgil began to move around the room, picking up dirty clothes and bringing them to the laundry room. Nor did he even realize the other had left at all! So when Virgil eventually returned and spoke Marcel was so focused that he bare even registered what the other man had even said "Mmhmm" he mumbled noncommittally, showing that he was really not actually listening in that moment. Not because he was trying to be rude of course but because he was genuinely too focused to pay much attention to anything else in that moment in time. He didn't even notice the other man was beginning to sand down and at least slightly repair the door. So when he finally called out to the other man, rather proud of himself he ended up giving a sheepish grin "Sorry, didn't realize you were right there" he chuckled a little bit before he stepped back and smiled at Virgil's reaction which made his heart swell with a bit of pride "Glad you like it Querido" he stated before he began to laugh a bit as he smirked a little bit and finished picking up all the plastic bags from the ground and dropped the tools into the box as well. These were all things he already owned so they now served no purpose to him at all "I don't know, maybe?" the thought hadn't even crossed his mind but now he really wanted to see Virgil in lingerie. But that was probably going to have to be for another time he supposed since right now Marcel would leave the box where it was and walked over to the others duffel bag. He would then begin to pull out and fold what few clothes the other man had "Might as well get this over with" he explained to the other man. As Marcel was folding the T-shirts what he didn't notice was the piece of silk beginning to stick out more and more in the bag. The aforementioned lingerie that Virgil had purchased from the women's store on their trip to the mall was beginning to stick out more and more as he pulled out the wolf motif button down and nicely folded it. Soon enough it would be the next thing he'd pull out.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Virgil merely shook his head at the apology. It was fine in the end, and even if it wasn’t, seeing how proud and happy Marcel was more than made up for it. When his teasing was met with a rather calm reply, he raised an eyebrow. Well, that was interesting. At least now he had a little bit more of a clue that the items he’d purchased wouldn’t completely turn Marcel off. He knew he liked lingerie thanks to Jordan, but he didn’t know if men in lingerie was his thing or if it would even look good in someone such as himself. There was only one way to find out and he planned to. As soon as he worked up the courage to actually wear them. ”Knock yourself out.” At first, Virgil didn’t pay any mind to his boyfriend taking out his clothes from his bag. Until he saw one embarrassing item peeking out from the top, it’s pink color unmistakable against the darker clothing he preferred. Fuuucccckkk. He stared in horror as he panicked and mentally scrambled for some plan of action to stop Marcel from finding out what it was. Really, there was nothing to be too embarrassed about. Just a frilly pink apron and a pair of equally pink boy shorts...whatever the hell those were. Why had he let the sales clerk twist his arm about making that second purchase for his lady friend? Probably so she wouldn’t clue in to the truth- there was no lady friend! His eyes widened in further terror when his fingers finally picked up the pair of silk underwear. ********, ********, ********! The big brute was quick to bolt over to him, his arms wrapping around him from behind as a hand grabbed one of his wrists while his other hand moved to cover his in an attempt to conceal the item. He pressed his face in to the crook of his neck to muffle the nervous laughter bubbling up. Had Marcel noticed what it was? Maybe or maybe not, but hopefully the chance to distract him hadn’t passed. It took him a couple of seconds to regain his composure. ”Ya know...this is th’ last day you’ll have off for ah while.” Virgil nuzzled his cheek against the side of his neck in show of wolffish affection. ”I can’t think of anyone who deserves t’relax more than ya do. Why don’t ya go find ah good movie t’watch an’ chill? I can finish up in here.” He waited with baited breath to see if fooling his stubborn lover would work. Of course, he wasn’t above trying dirtier tactics if it didn’t.

Marcel was perfectly content to finish folding his lovers clothes like this as it really wasn't too difficult of a task. The Hispanic had his head turned at that moment as he was placing the folded shirt on top of the pile that was forming as he grabbed something slightly different in texture. What the hell? It felt smooth and nice to the touch but for some reason he couldn't place his finger on what it was at that moment. Just as he was about to turn his head he was caught completely off guard when he suddenly felt a heavy force almost throw itself into his back. For a brief moment he thought that a bear was about to maul him or something crazy like that. However as soon as he felt the other man press his face into the crook of his neck Marcel let out a laugh as he tried to turn his head but ended up failing "What the hell? What's gotten into you!?" he stated with a laugh as he felt his wrist get held by the other man while the other hand was grabbed. The strange item had completely slipped his mind by Virgil's sudden interruption as he smirked a little bit at the other man's antics. As he listened to the older man speak Marcel let out another small laugh at the thoughtfulness of his Lover and shook his head a little bit "It's really no big deal Querido, I'm about half way done with your bag anyway" he stated, trying to wiggle his hands free from Virgil's grasp "C'mon now Rafe, stop being so clingy so I can finish folding your clothes" he stated before trying turning his head as best he could to glance at the other man whom was holding him "Then afterwards we can relax together and maybe order some Chinese food or something a bit later" Marcel offered to the other man with an amused look on his face, wondering what brought on this huge bout of affection.

When there was no laughter or a show of repulsion, Virgil took it as a sign that he had been successful with distracting him from what he was holding. But there was one remaining, even bigger, problem- getting the panties away from Marcel without him realizing what they were. Just as his heartbeat began to calm down it sped up again when it became apparent that his younger lover was hellbent with folding his clothes for him. Geez. What was the big deal? They were already folded! Admittingly, not as neatly as the former soldier was folding them right now, but it did seem kind of redundant. He let go of his wrist although he kept the other on top of his, bringing his now free hand underneath his in order to grab onto the bottom of the panties he was holding. Virgil didn’t pulled too hard, however, having always heard silk was a delicate material that couldn’t withstand being treated too roughly. Back when Vivian was alive, he could distinctly remember his twin yelling at him for trying to rough house with her while she’d been wearing the silk slip her fiancé had gotten her. Something he had never tried to do again because an angry Vivi was a very scary Vivi. ”Jus’ tryin’ t’show my appreciation for everythin’ ya have done for me.” An innocent smile graced his lips although this time it was due to him trying to keep up with his distraction. And to hopefully keep himself from getting into trouble since he wasn’t exactly complying with Marcel’s wish for him to let him go. Hearing his birth name again had him wondering just how serious he was being about finishing with the task. Not even the allure of food in the near future could get him to budge. Oh, ******** him. He was going to have to do it. But desperate times called for desperate measures. His smile shifted into a small smirk while he pressed himself a bit more into Marcel. ”Feelin’ more like Hispanic right now than Chinese, if I’m bein’ honest…” Virgil softly whispered before he started to place feather light kisses along the side of his neck. While his lips slowly worked their way upward, he gave another gently tug on the panties to try to get them one last time. There was still the apron, but if he was lucky then it was still hiding at the bottom of his duffel in the red shopping bag.

Marcel wasn't even paying any mind to the item he was now currently holding and instead was grinning ear to ear in utter amusement at his Lovers antics. The Hispanic chuckled a little bit and shook his head when the other man informed him that he was just trying to show appreciation to him which caused Marcel to give a small sound "Aww, you're just a big softie Virgil" he stated with an amused look on his face as his hand now completely released the article of clothing that was in his hand, completely unaware that Virgil was doing a good job at distracting him. Of course with that being said he noticed the change in Virgil's demeanor and quirked an eyebrow as the other man suddenly pressed up against him, causing a surprised noise to come out of Marcel. As the Veteran sat there he laughed a little bit at Virgil's comment but that soon changed into a soft groan at the losses that trailed along his neck "Oh come on Virgil" he finally started to pull away a little bit and stood up, glancing at the other man with an amused smirk "Sorry Virgil but I'm not in the mood right now" Marcel stated apologetically before putting his hands up in the air however and chuckled "But you've proven your point, I'll let you finish up here" if Virgil was going to be this adamant about the Hispanic relaxing then who was he to deny him? Marcel would grab the large, plastic filled box and began to make his way out of the room "Just fold them nicely like I was, you fold like a lazy teenager" he stated with an amused smirk, cluing Virgil in as to why he had began to properly fold the others clothes. With that he'd bring the box over and stared at it for a moment before just leaning it against the trash can, he could take it out along with the recycling in a couple days. With that Marcel would walk over to his liquor cabinet and mini bar and began to prepare himself a good old fashioned Gin and Tonic, topped off with a wedge of lime. He would make the Rebujito's a little bit later once Virgil was done and relaxing with him, he wanted his Boyfriend to get a little taste of Spain along with him. As Marcel sat back into his couch he'd begin to flip through the channels before pausing at a cooking channel as the woman on the screen began to talk about how to she was going to make chicken and waffles. That...sounded so...American...but as she talked about how it was popular in the south Marcel couldn't help but wonder if maybe Virgil would like it? He quickly made his way to the the kitchen where he kept a pen and pad for when he made grocery lists and sat back down on the couch as he began to write down the ingredients as well as cooking methods that she was doing. He needed to buy a waffle iron but that probably wasn't going to be too big of a deal. Marcel was sure that as long as he kept detailed instructions on hand he'd be able to cook well enough. He'd told Virgil that he'd learn to cook and dammit all he was going to learn and this was going to be the first thing he learned!

He wasted no time balling them up in his hand in order to hide them for now. Talk about a close call, he was sure his blood pressure hadn’t been this high in a long time. A faint him came from him when he was called soft. Maybe he was, but it could hardly be helped when he was around someone like Marcel. He blinked with slight confusion when he pulled away, almost falling forward flat on his face when he got up though he managed to catch himself by placing his hands on the mattress. Ouch. His pride. To be honest, he wasn’t in the mood either but hearing he hadn’t even caused a little spark of interest in his partner kind of hurt. ”It’s fine.” Chuckling, he lightly shook his head as he adjusted to a sit down on the bed. His pride might be a tad wounded, but at least his diversion had worked and Marcel was going to go relax. He rolled his eyes at being told to refold the rest of his clothes. ”Whatever, dad!” He called out after him, even going as far as to give a loud huff with it. Once he was alone, Virgil held up the item and frowned. So much stress over such a small thing, what would it be like when he actually put them on? Sighing, he folded them as neatly as he possibly could before he set them down with on the small pile of underwear. It took an embarrassingly long time for him to finish folding the rest of his clothes. In reality it was around ten minutes, but compared to how quick Marcel was, he was as slow as a turtle. The first two items to go into the new dresser were the apron and panties, which the werewolf set all the way to the back before adding his underwear and socks to it. His jeans and shorts to the larger drawers. After a minute of debate, he put his lockbox in the spare top drawer along with its key. Not knowing what to do with the now empty duffel bag, he folded it and put it into the drawer with his pants.

Virgil stepped back once he was done with putting everything away, admiring the dresser one last time before he went to take care of the door. Thankfully, he didn’t need to sand it down anymore than he had but he wasn’t looking forward to the next part. Grabbing and opening the jar of wood putty, he wrinkled at the strong smell as he scooped some of it out and began to spread it over outer edges of hole to start filling it in. He would have to work on this part off and on for the rest of the day and perhaps even the next since each layer would need to dry before more could be added. Virgil hummed softly while he worked, stopping once he’d managed to even out the hole and the claw marks. He put down the jar on his dresser and left the bedroom to go into the kitchen to wash his hands, toss away what little trash his project had made, and refill his glass with more of the Irish coffee. He was a little upset with himself for falling asleep, which had caused him to lose the slight buzz he had going earlier. By now, the man was tired of the coffee but he was going to make do with it, having forgotten to grab juice to mix the Everclear with. And there was no way he was going to go anywhere near the left over tomoato juice sitting in the fridge. Virgil returned to his spot on the couch and made himself comfortable. ”Oh, money’s in th’ box in th’ top drawer. Take what ya need t’cover my half of th’ bills an’ rent.” Better tell him now before he forgotten, trusting Marcel not to rob him blind.

Marcel laughed aloud at the other man huffing like the big bad wolf when he was told to properly fold the clothes. Oh he was being such a child! Either way as he stepped out of the room he mused on how he had barely reacted to Virgil's ministrations, the other man had done him in real good yesterday and he felt like he'd need at least a bit longer to recover. As Marcel sat there on the couch he took in every single thing the TV chef said and nodded his head when she mentioned how you could mix your favorite sauce into the buttermilk and how she was using some tobacco sauce. OK so that was a good thing to take note of. Soon enough the entire sheet of paper was filled with notes, copying down everything that sounded relevant to the recipe he was learning and it was still only on the chicken. Before she even got onto the waffle recipe Marcel was already turning to the next page as he began to fill in how to properly fry the chicken as well as what type of oil to use. He was so focused on taking notes that he'd completely missed Virgil's entrance into the room as the woman soon began to finally begin to explain the waffle recipe. This seemed simple enough and she even went on to say that with just a few tweeks of adding and taking certain things away this could easily turn it into a good pancake mix as well. Oh boy that was going to need another page and a half if he ever did decide to try doing that! But for now he only made a little note next to recipe and continued on writing, only looking away from the screen and her methods when Virgil joined him on the couch. Marcel smiled a bit and nodded his head "Got it, thanks Querido" he stated before turning back to the screen as she then went on to talk about making her favorite side dish, roasted green beans with bacon bits and a sweet chili sauce. That looked really good, granted it was clear that she was using an entire package of bacon for this one dish...which he had to admit he respected. Marcel would turn to his Lover with a curious look on his face and realized he should probably ask "This is a popular southern thing, right?" He asked the other man, not too sure what to think of it at the moment. The Hispanic knew he's had it before but he wasn't so sure about Virgil's tastes and he didn't want to find out he was wasting his time jotting down notes on a dish that wouldn't fly over with Virgil.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The fact that Marcel was busy scribbling away on a piece of paper when he had first came into the room didn’t go unnoticed , but it wasn’t until he had sat down and paid some attention to what was playing on the television that he clued in to what he could possibly be concentrating so hard on. Had he really liked the dish at the restaurant so much he wanted to learn to cook it for himself? While that in itself was admirable, Virgil couldn’t stop all sorts of nasty predictions from popping into his head. He was inclined to believe the Hispanic when he'd told him he didn't know that much about cooking, and frying anything wasn't easy. Roasted green beans? His expression didn't become one of outright disgust, but it did become uncomfortable. Canned green beans with some butter and bacon were really good, but roasted? That didn't sound appealing at all. Then again, he wasn't a huge fan of most vegetables so what did he know? Virgil's first initial reaction to the question was to shrug a shoulder, his lips soon pursing somewhat as he pondered over a better answer. He was pretty certain fried chicken was a staple of the south though he was clueless about the meal of chicken and waffles. "I've seen in on menus at soul food restaurants so I guess it is.” He shrugged again as he glanced at Marcel, offering a slightly sheepish grin. He liked food, true, but he tended to stick to what he knew he would like when he ate out so he rarely paid that much attention to what was on offer. ”Probably not what most people are after when they go ta New Orleans though.” That honor probably went to dishes with more renown. The reason he had even asked him went right over his head. It wasn’t like Marcel had much to be concerned about, he would eat anything his lover made for them to eat. Virgil had eaten that awful spinach omelet he had made him the other morning, after all. And he greatly disliked spinach. "I would buy th' box mix for th' waffles though. They taste jus' as good as th' ones made from scratch." He would share that little tidbit with the novice cook, reaching over to pick up his phone to go back to reading his book.

Marcel would nod his head at his Lover's answer, OK so it seemed to at least be fine in that regard. However he'd glance over and chuckle a little bit at the other man's comment and nodded his head "Ahh yes, they're looking for beads and...eh...what's it called?...Gumbo!" it took Marcel a moment to remember what the dish was called as he remembered Virgil spoke of it once or twice, it was vague. Clearly it was another thing he'd have to look into, however he could only imagine how high that standard was for Virgil if it was one of his favorites if he recalled. Still though Marcel would be up for the challenge once he upped his game a little bit and learned a bit more on cooking. However he chose to learn cooking it would have to start slow because of his obvious lack of knowledge on the subject. However Virgil's suggestion rung out in his head and he thought about it for a moment before grinning and nodding his head a little bit "Sounds like a smart idea to me!" he stated with a wide grin as he watched the woman cut the stems off a large pile of fresh green beans before boiling them for a couple of minutes before sticking them in an ice bath, what was the point of boiling them then? However it seemed like this was a normal thing to do to...save the color and help roast them faster or something? Well OK, she was the expert here not Marcel. He'd continue to fill out his papers like it was a full school assignment and soon the tip of his tongue stuck out once more as he grew more focused as he watched every move she made as well as taking in everything she said. She'd then make the chili sauce from scratch, noting that you could make it as spicy as you wanted because of the chili flakes. OK well that was good to know! That would also get filled in and by the time the episode was ending Marcel had filled in both sheets of paper completely and was rather proud of his note taking. With a small sigh of relief Marcel would see the cook taste her own creations and tooted her own horn a bit by talking about how good it was. It all looked good, he could only hope he didn't mess this up too badly "I'm going to have to do some actual grocery shopping tomorrow anyway..." he said aloud to himself before shrugging his shoulders a bit as his previous trip was only for the bare essentials. Finally Marcel sighed a little bit and placed the pen and paper down on the coffee table before stretching out a bit and propped his feet up on the coffee table as he changed to channel to what appeared to be a sitcom or something like that. Eh it would have to do. Marcel would recline and just sat there watching TV for a bit and once a half hour passed and the episode was over he did have to admit it did get a few chuckles out of him. Finally Marcel would glance over at Virgil before standing up "I'm going to make myself a Rebujito, you want one as well?" he asked, making his way over to the mini bar. It was late in the afternoon so it seemed like a fine time for a drink in his opinion.
