Religious institutions are bull.
You can believe what you want, but that doesn't mean you need a bunch of people to tell you.
In fact, the idea that you need someone else to tell you what to believe is ridiculous.
All the most of them do is foster bigotry anyways.
I always found the idea that God would designate people to tell other people what he wanted to tell them and designate buildings with a certain name holy completely absurd to begin with.
If a religious group outbid someone who wanted to build a mall for a plot of land, then why is the building built there suddenly holy?
Doesn't make any sense.

Not necessarily for those practicing that particular religion, but it creates complications for those who are nonreligious or of a different faith. Us Atheists (I mean the rest of them and myself, not necessarily counting you because you might not be one) are making things better.

@Mana: I originally thought of putting "Mor[m]on", but thought it was too complex for the majority of the people on Gaia (I assume Gaia's fanbase consists of mostly people who are younger than eighteen and thus are idiots). Also, I just bought all of Glen Cook's Black Company series.

Mana - I'm not saying that you don't have a right to believe in it. That's your choice. I have no right to tell you what to believe just like you have no right to tell me that I can't have that opinion. I also said I... meaning it's my opinion. I believe in God, I don't believe in religious institutions.

It's really no different than the argument of whether or not Big Foot exists at its core so. Yes, we might as move on.

I'm in no position to do any religious persuasion of any kind at the moment. I'm the kind of girl who enjoys taking science and religion and finding reasons why they are the same thing.

It's only because I spend actual money on mine. I have a slight superiority complex which compelled me to have a shinier avatar than most people. But I liked the one you had before you changed it. Not the blue one, but the one before that.
