Fanny looked down and heaved a great sigh. She wore a highly-detailed teal silk dress and decorative matching shoes as she stood in front of a mirror. Her hair had gotten much longer now as there was no time to cut it, nor did her protectors allow it. Delicate ornaments of gold hung on her snow white hair and on her dress as well. She looked at herself with sorrow in her eyes. In the course of the time she was sent away, she was brought to a wealthy country of high fashion and plentiful resources through the subjugation of lesser countries and the exploitation of the poor. Indeed, its capital city was a vibrant work of art with its brilliant lights and satisfied masses who turned a blind eye to the suffering in the countryside brought about by their lavishness of lifestyle.
A middle-aged married couple with a young male heir was sifting through all the country to find a bride for their son as they believed in the superiority of their own race. Their older daughters had been married off to princes as a form of political alliance but they wanted the bride of their son to come from among them.
They lined up and brought to the capital all the daughters of their country from those of nobles to those of peasants, giving each a chance to impress the royals. Fanny was easily snuck into the lineup as pre-planned by Zil. All that was needed was to follow the instructions to the letter and there should be no problem. If not the prince, the dukes and other nobles also desired to choose brides for their sons.
Being multi-talented and a chameleon of sorts, she easily passed herself off as the daughter of a low-ranking noble turned soldier that hasn't returned from the previous war. This earned her a lot of sympathy in the court. With grace, charm and ease of movement, she easily caught the royal's eye. Fanny knew though, that if she was chosen, it would be very difficult to return to her home country. She wanted to see Zil so bad and thought this elaborate scheme of his own design was rather unnecessary.
Monica was just about to leave when the absolute leader's helicopter arrived. She could not bear to watch Jian being opened up by doctors from Mt. Angelo. She just came to visit him. That was all.
Diethelm's underground was full of shady characters as well as shadows - the people who disappeared without a trace, the allegedly dead and those whose existence was overlooked. A lone shadow seemed to follow Shadow's trail before disappearing once again, had she would even notice it.
((OOC: I'm bored~ Making ominous descriptions is fun though =w= ))

((Feeling better. Will post now))
Shadow noticed the disappearances in her contacts, knowing Damien was probably still on her trail. Still, she was in no mood to face him again, if ever. For now, she was focusing on work, easily building a reputation as 'queen of the underworld'. She felt the more organizations the government knocked down, the easier it would be to find Zil surface from wherever he was hiding. After all, new contacts and organizations would take the place of the old ones, and her business would rise. On top of that, the secret police still depended on her for hints behind Monica's back, though her youthful appearance started to give her trouble in bars and other adult places. Ever since the day Zil disappeared, she started wearing a black mask when not in disguise in order to hide her ageless face.
Right now, Shadow had new information about the underground cult organization, the 'Black Heart'. She sent out messages to the secret police who were paying her to watch out for people going after the grand priestess. Her presence was no longer a secret in Diethelm, and radicals are after her head.
Lianne followed Damien, not saying a word. She hoped for Jian's swift recovery so that she wouldn't have to spend so much time with Damien. After all, the more time she spent with him, the stranger he seemed to be to her. She couldn't quite figure him out, not that she ever wanted to know him well enough to understand his quirks.
The doctors were already awake and getting prepared. There was no operation that day, but rather, they were going to scan his brain to check his progress within the first 24 hours.

Damien was informed that no surgery was happening, so he just ordered that once the procedures were finished, that he be given the results. "I guess there's really no other reason for me to be here" Damien said to Lianne. "Will you be staying?"

"I... I suppose I would be in the way anywhere I go." She admitted. "Do you have a place where I could read or do paperwork?" she asked.

Damien thought for a moment. A place that would be out of the way and would keep questions as to why the Grand Priestess of the Mt. Angelo Holy City of all people was in Diethlem at bay. "I suppose I could send you to one of my private villas. There would be no one else around except servants and many of them come stocked with a large library" Damien said. He would ship off whatever harem group he had from that villa, no matter how small.

((Ok... ))
The head doctor handed Damien the brain scans from three weeks of treatment. "Here's how he was during the injury... here's before we began, and these are his progress. After one more treatment, and a few days of recovery, he should be back to normal."

"Yes..." The doctor replied. "By the way, if you don't mind me asking, where is the Grand Priestess? I would like to tell her the results as well."

"She should be on her way over from Mt. Angelo. I heard she had an urgent thing to attend to. I didn't ask what it was. It wasn't my concern" Damien said.

"Ah... I see." the doctor replied.
"Absolute Leader!" A soldier said, running into Damien's office completely out of breath, and gave a salute. "I'm sorry for the intrusion, but this is code red. The ship the Grand Priestess took on her way back was shot down on Diethelm's soil. Investigators just sent word that they made a safe emergency landing, but the pilot and guards are dead, and the Grand Priestess is missing!"
"W-what?!" The doctor said with alarm, turning deathly pale.
